I can't get enough of fried chicken. Who can resist its crispy skin and juicy meat anyway? And when I got a bite of the twice-fried chicken glazed with rich sweet soy garlic, there's no way I'd give it up.

Hello, Bonchon.

I was so famished after a shoot that I decided to head over to Bonchon for its no fail, famous chicken.

We called their delivery hotline and this is the branch that delivered our food. Their chicken used to be smaller so we ordered the two pieces chicken meal. To our surprise, the chicken’s bigger than it used to be. Also ordered Japchae - first time to have this at BonChon and I didn’t know that it tastes so good. And it’s affordable compared to other Korean restaurants.

BonChon has been an institution for Korean chicken for years, serving glazed wings with thin, crispy breading without any of the oily drama on the tender meat. A true Korean experience but BonChon’s personal twist. Organized by Spark It PH, BonChon’s event sent us packing to South Korea in the span of a few hours, equipping us with shades, a scarf and our own set of utensils for the Korean feast we were about to partake in.

With the current rise in popularity of KDramas here in the Philippines, BonChon is riding in on the fandom and bringing in exciting offerings under different themes to their customers. I recently visited BonChon at the 30th Mall in Ortigas on a sponsored invite, together with other food bloggers. Didn't know that we'll be in for an awesome dining adventure.

Since Bon Chon had an overhaul look of the restaurant making it into a Modern Barn, we felt like we flew right then and there to Korea. They gave us a luggage filled with things for our "Korean trip." It had shades, a Pashmina scarf, a placemat, chopsticks, among others.

For us to experience a K-tastic day like no other, we were served their specialties. First off, there was BonChon's most favorite Korean style chicken, best to be eaten when reliving a scene from the popular K-Drama, Weightlifting Fairy. This glazed chicken isn't like any other and they are available in four different flavors. Crispy, tasty, a Korean wonder.

We also got to try their guapao buns with chicken sandwiched between them. They are available in steamed or fried guapao buns. I must say that I liked the fried ones better for its undeniable crunch one after another. A bite could just make you do a dance off, Gangnam Style.

BonChon's Jjampong Spicy Noodle Soup is not for the faint of heart. This bowl of egg noodles on seafood broth with Korean hot pepper flakes is definitely spicy. It's especially good to sip on, on a cold rainy day.
My tolerance was quite low so I had a tough time slurping this one.

I felt as if I was of Korean dynasty with their Bibimbowl. The Bibimbowl refers to a serving of bibimbap, which is the most popular dish in Korea. It has 10 different ingredients to it, with carrots, egg strips and a variety of flavorful sauces in it just to name a few.
This is my go to Korean dish when am looking for a complete meal!

The thing that I liked most from everything they served us was their Korean Beef Stew. At first, you might think that the thick beef chunks are hard to bite but they are actually very tender. It was also flavorful because the meat was slow cooked in spices for hours.

As we wear our pashmina scarves thinking of Korean snowfall, we had BonChon's Korean iced dessert, bingsu.  It had fruit toppings, different powdered flavors or both in it, drizzled with sweet syrup. What makes their bingsu different from the others is that they use ultra fine ice for this, and they are available in different flavors, namely Matcha Vanilla, Chocolate Brownie, and Strawberry and Mango Cheesecake.

If you want to have a full on Korean gastronomic experience fast casual style, visit any branch of BonChon and have your appetite satisfied today! They have 80 branches just in the Metro, so locating them should not be a problem.

We all know BonChon as the place to get our Korean-style fried chicken fix ever since they arrived in the Philippines in 2010. Even after seven years, BonChon still continues to deliver K-tastic  Korean-style food adventures! Earlier today, BonChon launched their latest K-tastic dishes at their Ayala Malls The 30th branch!
