As a self-proclaimed foodie, I'm ashamed to admit that I've only just tried Tim Ho Wan very recently. And I'm very disappointed with myself for having tried their Baked Bun with BBQ Pork just now! 😭 I mean, that milky and creamy bun with the savory filling is something divine. I finally get what all the hype has been about. And that hype is well-deserved.
Not my first time and definitely not my last. I like how fast the orders come. The attendants are quick and fast to respond.
I love their dimsums, congees and their dumplings. I specially love their hot barley drink.
A lot of pork buns in the metro tries to copy tim ho wan, but nothing comes close. Tim ho wans pork buns with the crumbly top, warm bread and extremely juicy and flavorful pork filling is still the bomb. I always order the buns whenever I pass by Tim Ho Wan and it never disappoints.
AMBIENCE
It was very crowded during lunch time, but surprisingly, we were in the queue for about three minutes only. As always, we just needed to write down how many orders of each dish we wanted.
FOOD & BEVERAGE
Baked Bun with BBQ Pork had a crunchy coating and the meaty filling was fairly hot. Glutinous Rice with Lotus Leaf was addicting and easy to break apart with chopsticks. We just ate off the leaf so it wouldn't stick all over the plate. Prawn Dumpling and Steamed Spinach Dumpling with Shrimp were very hot inside and the shrimps were big! Iced Tea was very cold and sweet.
SERVICE
Staffers were extremely quick to get us drinking water. I can say the same for our orders and they cleaned our table as soon as most of the containers were empty already. Orders were efficiently crossed off the sheet used to track pending orders.
We went here last saturday with my family to eat lunch. When we got here we are in the waiting list #3, but a few minutes later we got our seat already. We ordered the asado bun, some dimsums and hk wanton noodle soup. The food was great. We especially liked their asado buns. It's delicious, the bun was so soft. And I was satisfied with their service, it was fast.
The flavors are just 150% spot on!
Went here for a fast merienda but never thought that these three small plates will satisfy two people the way it did ☺☺☺
Will be coming back soon for those lovely pork buns!
Only downside was because we were place on a table near the entrance door, flies were somewhat around us. But other than that, food is really heart and excellent.
i still wonder how come this place serve only a handful of offerings compared to the myriad of chinese restos in the... world?!
well, i guess they bank on their quality best sellers and that might not be a bad thing. hey, it’s michellin rated so what’s your issue bunny?! lelz
i have a confession. i usually just eat the pork buns, like on its own, until my friens told me to douse it w/ the chili sauce. i was like, no thanks im good, but he insisted so to appease him, i did so. i should’ve listened during my intake of the 2 buns because on my 3rd bun, i experienced bliss - like, bible! no friggin’ joke, it was devilishly delicious. hence, i ordered another set and that was the time i truly enjoyed these buns. PLEASE TRY because it really brings about this a flavor of spectacular!
I always eat here when im craving for quick and cheap chinese food. They have a variety of quick and easy dishes that always satisfy my cravings. I never get bored of eating here.
I love their lotus leaf wrapped glutinous rice and pork buns.

Served fresh! Ahhh. I really love it here. We have ordered four dishes and a drink:
Our usuals: Baked Pork Buns - My mom and I shared buns, actual sharing 2 1/2 buns each 😂 hot and steamy you have to bite a little, blow the heat out. We treat this as dessert since the marinade of the pork is sweet.
Poached Fresh Seasonal Vegetable - They pour out the sauce which is my favorite because the sauce is so good for all of their food especially dimsum. But it is also sweet so, I just use the one from the vegetable.
New Dishes (some for the Restaurant, some for our palette)
Dumpling with Spicy Sauce - not too spicy so I still put Chili but the sauce is different from just plain soy, I figure it has black vinegar? So I advise to order Kutchay instead since you can just put the sauce in.
Congee With Lean Pork Century Egg and Salted Egg - I put the sauce from the vegetable here and some chili. This one order serving is good for two as it is rice already. Very glutinous and yummy but century egg overpowers salted egg.
New drink: Hong Kong Style Milk Tea, worth it for Php 60-70 but not Php 88 since there is no sinker but it is really good and refreshing for the summer. Will order this again though if I were to eat despite the price.
Lucky to be served at around 12 noon as there are so many people waiting in line. Food was okay; tried their Chow Mien Stir Fried Noodles. Food menu has lots of shrimp stuff (caution!), sometimes they’re not written in the menu as “with shrimp”. Staff was accommodating, which is a nice part.
Staff are very accommodated and the food is delicious as well ...one of the hongkies food recommend to all ....Try their Char siew bun ..and also the dumpling...highly recommend...
Two words: BAKED BUNS!!! I can’t get enough especially when it’s piping hot. This is my favorite restaurant when I’m in SM MOA and while I’m taking a break from shopping and from walking around the mall.
if you are craving for chinese food yet affordable and delicious TIM HO WAN is good for you, mu favorite order is spareribs rice and pork bun
food 5/5
ambiance 4/5
service 4/5
Food was great! We had prawn dumplings, spring rolls, egg noodles soup, spring roll and congee. Great place for fam. We actually kept coming back.
Tim ho wan for me is an affordable choice if you want something chinese that can be eaten fast if you're on the go. Their menu is quite simple, a very few selected dimsum, rice toppings and noodles. For their rice topping, I've had their chicken, mushroom and sausage for 170 pesos. This is steam rice with steam chicken mushroom and sausage on top sprinkled with a special soy sauce. I love it, surprisingly it's very good especially when mixed. I've also had their spring rolls which was another revelation as it's not the typical spring roll. It's as if there is a custard layer inside. I also loved this. For dimsum we've had their spinach dumpling 3pcs for 120 pesos. This one is kinda steep price wise but was good as well. Lastly, their signature pork bun. It's still classic and I love it. Sweet bun covered woth sweet pork asado type filling. Yummy!
I think this is the only branch that is not really busy and we were very happy that day because they gave us a good table to sit in. Every food was always perfect here but I'm really hoping someday that they would make adjustments when it comes to their serving.
Whenever I would pass by their restaurant, I’m always tempted to purchase their pork buns. I really like that it’s always served warm, and tastes really really good. Just the right sweetness and savory taste. Will surely purchase another set during my next mall visit!
I was craving for baked bbq buns all days so I decided to have a snack at Tim Ho Wan. Their buns are super good! I could finish all 3 pieces to myself. The crispy dough and the pork filling is a perfect combination. Always happy when I come here.
Been eating here for several times and I must say they are consistent. The food is good and the service is quick and efficient. Too good that whenever we stop over in Mall of Asia we have to take some pork buns home!
I’m not into Chinese Cuisine but this reataurant got me. I love their dumplings and the noodles!! The price is worth it, ambiance and service is good. Highly recommend this :)
Tim Ho Wan has been known for being the most well loved chinese restaurant in Asia, not to mention the cheapest amongst the Michelin star rated restaurants out there. Pork buns will always have a place in my heart, a good starter for an authentic chinese food experience!
Most recommended food to order:
Pork Buns
Hakaw
Xiao Long Bao
Authentic Hong Kong dimsum in Metro Manila, plus other superb authentic chinese dishes. I personally love the spare ribs rice. The staff are nice and the ambience is perfect for dinners (most especially)
I think the Michelin Star speaks for itself. The pork buns are as glorious as advertised, and I like how they limited their menu since they could easily focus on the quality of each menu item. Would recommend their spring roll with egg white since it does not get the attention it deserves!
All time fave! Would definitely not put a strain on your budget. The pork buns are glorious as advertised but you should order their spring roll with egg white too! Would definitely get my dimsum fix here anytime.
Probably one of the cheapest Michellin Star restos in the world. This is my go-to place when it comes to dimsums during tea time! My absolute favorite is their egg cake, it’s absolutely worth it with a big serving!
I am not a fan of Chinese food but I really like Hakaw and Tim Ho Wan’s pork bun and this is my preferred restaurant than others in malls. They also have dimsum, congee and vermicelli roll which are pretty good too. I also like their green tea to match the tons of dumplings I ate.

Tim Ho Wan Restaurant presents you enticing menus that have won the plaudits of food critics and hearts of foodies around the world. Congee with Lean Pork, Century Egg & Salted Egg is something that is common to my taste buds, I like everything on this dish but I notice that they lack on putting a generous amount of ingredients in this menu. Baked Bun with BBQ Pork will be the perfect menu to try all over again when I go back to this resto. Pan Fried Radish Cake was maybe my 2nd favorite. Lastly will be the Milk Custard Rolls and this will be definitely my top favorite. It is sweet and smooth to my mouth but it has too much oil that maybe they can improve.
We try different dimsum each visit but we could not resist having Pork and Shrimp Beancurd every time..The Chicken feet is very tender. I just thought it's too pricey for a light snack after all.
Long queue of hungry 😋 peeps, crowded place, loud hustle and bustle in the kitchen, gleeful chatter over food… these are just few of the things that make Tim Ho Wan a restaurant to eat at! Don’t forget the affordable prices and wide selection of dishes! We were literally elbow to elbow with other diners on the other tables. But who cares! Giving 4 stars for value for money! 👍🏼
I sooooo love chinese food! We had Prawn Dumplings, Baked Bun with BBQ Pork (didn't eat that since I'm a pescetarian), Vemicelli Roll with Shrimp, Spinach dumplings ( i guess), Wanton noodles with fish ball. We liked the place! Looks expensive but the prices of the food are very reasonable. 💙
I love their baked bun! ( it is similar to a siopao but waaay better) Their Hakaw and kuchai dumpling is also good ( compared to other chinese resto like hap chan but of course the version of other legit chinese resto is still better). Their rice toppings (meal) are also good and the special sauce that they use is also flavorful! I hope that they will additional dishes that can be added to their menu.
Tim Ho Wan has really grown on me. 😍 It has really become my favorite since it came to our shores. 😍 If there’s a Tim Ho Wan within proximity, that’s where I always eat. 😀 Non-negotiable. The quality of their offerings are pretty consistent with every branch, and there’s really nothing to hate about what they do, and what they serve. My requisites for every visit would always be their Shrimp Dumplings, two or three orders maybe, their Pork Dumplings with Shrimp, the Pork Buns course, and I interchange between the Chow Mien, or the Chicken, Sausage, and Mushroom rice! 😀🥢🍚 The best part of it all, I can always eat all these without spending a fortune! With food quality that’s this hard to match, and that winning price point, it’s really not hard to believe that this brand really has a cult following on its own. Heck, I’m one of them! 😝
Definitely a go-to for a quick bite if you have some Chinese food cravings.
Me and my fiancé enjoyed grabbing a quick meal before heading home and driving through the traffic in full stomach.
We ordered the following:
Baked Bun with BBQ Pork - no wonder this is their best seller as it really does taste good. Although this is not our first time to eat at Tim's. We still enjoy it every time.
Prawn Dumpling - it was moist and the shrimp was cooked properly. It was not rubbery and retained the taste of a fresh ingredient as it was steamed properly.
Braised Chicken Feet with Abalone Sauce - this is a restaurant version of the street food "Adidas" that is why we ordered them. Cooked perfectly that you can easily eat it as served.
Mango Pomelo Sago - it was a perfect dessert after all the food that we ate. My fiancé enjoyed every single bit of it.
The staff were very attentive and warm. No wonder they are always full house. Good people + Great people makes customers come back for more.
We tried their steamed dumplings and they were great! Don’t forget the BBQ buns, definitely a new favorite! Prices are very reasonable too!!
My colleague and I stopped in to this place for lunch and was pleasantly surprise. The food was excellent and the staff were great. The prices were very good and the portions were perfect. I highly recommend you try this place when you visit.
Its been a while since the family's last visit. Fortunately our craving for Tim Ho's fare was in sync last Sunday .
After just a few minutes of queueing our party of 12 was seated and the feast began. Of course we ordered our usual dimsum faves ie pork siomai, hakaw, chicken feet, kutsay and pork buns.
Loved the radish and the vermicelli roll . Sauce was wonderfully sweet and savory at the same time.
Their pork buns are to die for. And also the vermicelli roll, I love it. The service is good. And the ambiance of the place is good as well. I like it that they have a take out window for those who dont wanna dine in.
This is why people are going crazy about Tim Ho Wan. This baked bun with bbq pork is a taste of heaven on earth. The bun is soft and fluffy as the clouds, delicately crispy as the moon and, balanced with the sweet and salty natural flavors of the earth. Add into that, is the tender and savory pork bbq filling to make the whole experience more delightful.
Price: 145 php
Table for: 3 pcs of delectable baked bun that a person can eat alone
Food Rating: 5/5
Spare Ribs Rice - Tim Ho Wan is not all about dimsum and pork buns, they also have rice meals. This may not meet your expectation for a spare ribs per se but for a 170 peso rib-less (boneless) spare ribs, this was delicious.
Price: 170 php
Table for: 1
Food Rating: 4/5

I like the spring roll with egg white, and spinach dumpling and chicken feet with abalone sauce... actually all the food we ordered... price is very cheap considering quality of the food served. I will definitely recommend it to my friends.
If you heard/saw the name Tim Ho Wan, dumplings and buns always come to our mind because its their bestselling/recommend food even you have to wait long for your next table. The price? Its a good for 2 or 3 persons.
Tim Ho Wan's branch at the Mall of Asia recreates the same kind of experience in their other branches. The quality and consistency of the dishes is very much the same. The pork bun is still the same highlight, with its tender and sweet bun infused with a pork filling that although makes it a little sweeter compliments the dimsum fully. Its like biting into a varied sweetness that radiates from the core. The beancurd skin dumpling is still a surefire crowd pleaser with every bite of its juicy and tasty consistency. Its hard to passby this place without getting a quic take out.
Tim Ho Wan serves the best pork bbq buns. I love it and it taste heavenly. I will surely come back for more. Kudos to the chef. The restaurant ambiance is really relaxing compared to the other branches.
Tim Ho Wan, a restaurant which easily went up on my favorite restaurants list!
What I love about this branch in particular is how big their area is, unlike their branches in Megamall and in Glorietta, Tim Ho Wan in MOA is much more spacious. This makes the entire dining experience even better!
The ambiance of Tim Ho Wan is something that I always look forward to whenever I dine at this restaurant. I also really like how the customer is the one to personally mark their order/s, then it's simply given to the staff. That's part of the experience, and I truly enjoy that aspect. Whenever my family and I go out to dine here, I'm the one who always marks the orders.. why? cause it's part of the dining experience!
As for their food, everything is amazing! I always order the Rice with Beef and Fried Egg (I don't want to know how much portions I've consumed of that item alone) AND their Steamed Rice Cake (My mom and I's favorite!).
Something new that I'd recommend though is their Beef Brisket and Tendon Noodles! It's simply delicious. The noodles and broth come in separate bowls, this is most likely to prevent the noodles from getting too soggy (They're perfectly cooked though). I don't exactly know what type of noodles they use though, but it's the typical type of noodles they use in Chinese noodle soup dishes!
Honestly, I think I can recommend every item in Tim Ho Wan... it's that good, every single time!
***Do remember that Tim Ho Wan is a Michelin-starred chain, considering this factor the pricing for their items are quite affordable!
It’s their Baked Barbecue Pork Buns. If there’s only one food I could live my whole life with, it’s that. Not only that, it’s very affordable.
the Pork BBQ bun is a must!!! I have brought several people to give this place a try and I was never let down. Service was ok but the dimsum is very satisfactory. So comforting to have this place in Moa.
Love the pork bun and spare rib rice meal.My new favorite is the cake .It looks like "puto but this one is tastier.I wonder if this is made of rice or flour.
Place is quite big and comfortable. We were seated at the corner which is very convenient because my parents are both senior citizens and would want not to be disturb by foot traffic. Their food tastes delicious, and are cooked fresh. Staff is very accommodating and informative. The best part of this restaurant: price. It's unbelievably cheap for a Michelin star restaurant. 😊😊

Loved the pork buns and dimsum! Their single rice serving became quite heavy since we had other orders. We just had to try as much as we can on the 1st visit lol
Service is okay and so far servers are attentive to their customers. Ate ther around past lunch and was surprised that our order was served almost immediately, well given the fact that most dimsum diners precooked their foods.
Ordering is self service and only a few select Chinese favorites are on the menu. I hope they could've added few more choices.
My favorite thing here is the pork buns (ofcourse!) and I always order this every time. I also like their Chow Mien stir fried noodles, its cooked right (noodles are not soggy and just the right amount of flavor).
Service was a little slow (it was just 3PM (not a peak time like lunch or dinner) and the place wasn't even full) but forgivable.
My new comfort food! ❤💘💝
There is this one friend of mine who always posts mouth- watering food from this restaurant like every single week. So finally, while waiting for our movie time (with so much intrigue in my mind) we decided to dine here and I must say that this is one of the best decisions ever in my entire life!! 😉👍
We ordered our most favorite shrimp dumplings known as Hakaw (so glad they have that there) and tasty pork buns. All are terrifically delicious! I also ordered their chinese style fried noodles and gosh I'm really awed. If I can only spend the entire night eating there, I'd definitely do that! 😂
To sum it up, this is now my best comfort food. 😍 Thanks Tim Ho Wan for making me one satisfied and happy kid!👌😄 Thanks to my lovelove too. 😊
Always a thumbs up!
You can never go wrong with any order. Though the only thing in the menu with rice is Spare ribs. One thing i hate about, narrow space. You can almost smell whats on the other table 😋 definitely coming back
Tim Ho Wan has become one of my go-to restos when I couldn't find new ones to try. I love their Pork with Black Beans. Their Century Egg Congee was delicious. Dumplings had balanced flavours, although some shrimp portions may overtake the pork. Chow Mien had no sauce, but was seasoned just right. Tea was good, of course.
Oolong Tea - php60/pot
Chow Mien Stir Fried Noodles - php130
Congee - php140
Pork & Shrimp Dumplings - php160
Tim Ho Wan - a Michelin starred restaurant. Ever since it opened here in the Philippines and heard excellent reviews, I've become an addict towards this restaurant. I could never deny the fact that the pork buns are the people's classic favorite of all time!! Another favorite of mine is the steamed egg cake and oh, all rice dishes are also to die for! Perfect comfort food for a Chinay like me.
The much awaited wait is over! Finally tried out this place and put an end on wondering what the buzz was. The year Tim Ho Wan was introduced, every branch had very long lines. Now, I finally tried it out with my mom.
First of all, I can't say fine dining, or maybe MOA's branch just seemed welcoming for all.
What I like about this place is that the menu was very small, one page was enough, and the prices are just right for the food portions. It was for people who just wanted to taste everything for an affordable cost.
The only thing I didn't like about MOA's branch is that it felt really damp, sticky, and dark inside. But the food was okay and will definitely consider it for other food choices when at the mall.
Giving this rating only for the dumplings because their service sucks. Visited 3 times and I never liked their customer service aspect. No smiles, slow, and I felt like a fly that entered their restaurant the way they serve. Would gladly return if not for the staff.
We were on a ramen hunting that day but we end up here at Tim Ho Wan. There are 6 Tim Ho Wan in Manila and we visited the one in Mall Of Asia. It is expected that the ambiance will not be satisfactory but the food is something not to miss. Their famous BBQ buns is indeed to die for as what others would say. The other dishes that we've tried is also worth every penny. We dont need to visit Manila to experience Tim Ho Wan as they will be opening soon here in Cebu. Looking forward for that day :)
Tim Ho Wan is all I recommend to my friends if ever they crave for Chinese authentic food. Their pork buns live up to their title as definitely one of the best I've ever had. Not to mention their prices are group meals-friendly. I suggest, once you visit here, bring all of your 10-15 friends and try every one of the menu items, without breaking your credit card balance!
The service is slow,
The chicken is bland,
The pork is boney,
But the Pork Buns are gold.
And sometimes, you only need one reason to stay. One reason to come back.
Tim Ho Want one more set of the buns please, and thanks.
Food taste is comparable to other Chinese dimsum and teahouses in the Metro. The difference is that their dimsum wrappers are made just at the right thickness and texture. There wasn't any particular dish that we would come back for. We ordered shrimp siomai, pork and shrimp siomai, wasabi dumpling, dumpling in chili sauce, vermicelli roll with shrimp, chicken feet and chicken mushroom sausage with rice; and a pot of oolong tea.
Waaah. Went here yesterday and til now nagccrave parin ako sa dumpling na may spinach na may shrimp. Huhu. Iba ka bes! Hehe. Masarap sana kaya lang medyo pricey. We also ordered their very famous pork bun, i've tried it before buti nalang di pa rin nagbabago lasa nya. Di na sya ganun kahype compared before. Iba parin talaga bun nila di ko maexplain. Parang meringue yung bun. We also ordered the beef balls chuchu, i forgot the name, tasty din and melts in your mouth. All in all, foods are good to great. Ambiance is okay. Staffs are okay din naman. Saktohan lang. dame tao eh. Busy sila haha. Basta love ko yung may spinach keme. 👍👍
The best DIM SUM so far compared to others !! One of the team member Jayson ( formerly from ROBPLACE , ERMITA ) was so polite. We were there last Jan. 8 ,2017 . Ms. MAICO M. DAMAIN is also commendable for doing a multi-tasking job from getting the orders , bassing and getting the bills aside from assisting the diners where to sit. JOB WELL DONE MS. MAICO !! DIMSUMS ARE REALLY OISHI !! WE were their weekly .
Please..... provide seats with back-rest for seniors especially if two or more seniors dine.
The best Dimsum ever!
FOOD: Personal favorite was of course, the ever famous Pork Buns, and Spare Ribs Rice. Super sarap!!!!!
AMBIANCE: Mas prefer ko ang MOA Branch compared to SM North because mas spacious sa Moa unlike sa SM North na ang crowded ng place, yun tipong ang hirap umexit after mo kumain.
CUSTOMER SERVICE: Crews were okay, and all polite too. Mabilis din ang service nila ng food which is really good.
PRICE: Super affordable!!!!
Super recommended! Will come back again definitely.
Best pork buns annd chow mien stir fried noodles ever! This is my favorite pair.
The price is absolutely reasonable. Service is very good but line is always long but it's totally worth the wait.

Sooo happy with the pork buns today!! They were absolutely perfect. Steamy barbequed pork filling inside crusty pastry 👌🏻 this is the dish that you go to tim ho wan for. Everything else, for me, is white noise 😂
Eating at tim ho wan is a very good experience. Excellent food quality, great ambiance and great service crew. Ive tried lots of pork buns, but I still comeback here for more. Lotus rice is a very good appetizer. The aroma and taste of lotus makes you more hungry.

A friend of mine brought me here last 17 September 2016 and I can say that this restaurant definitely met my expectations insofar as casual Chinese dining is concerned. Service is very efficient and they were quick to give me table. I find the atmosphere and the ambience of the restaurant very pleasing as it continuously teases my senses to enjoy and savour the food being served to the other guests.
We ordered the pork buns and it was a very heavenly, super delectable, ethereal (as my friend would describe) pork bun. It definitely raised my standards as far as Chinese food is concerned. I wonder how they make such as I simply cannot forget the magical pork buns that they served.
Also, we ordered the noodles and the Beancurd Skill roll with shrimp and they were all divine. Although the noodles and the roll is a bit oily, but hey, it is Chinese food and that is one essence for me actually of a Chinese food - never dull and always a delight to have some oil on your fingers as you munch these delectables.
This will be short and sweet... since what I like in Tim Ho Wan is a short list too. :D
I love their Baked Buns with BBQ Pork! Pretty cheap too for the price. Never eat it cold... always when it'a freshly baked! 😊😊😊
The rest of the food in Tim Ho Wan is okay. They kinda all taste the same to me since they pour their special/signature sauce on everything.
Tim Ho Wan, if the three stars was only on the food, it might make one star. If we were to follow the Michelin star system. On the local ratings, it's better than the average. So 3.5 it is, then if you add the service, that was haphazzard. Wrong orders taken, not confirmed, ask for the bill, then we are still waiting after 10 minutes. Let's just say, I didn't leave a tip for the first time in a long time. Maybe the service staff were just having an off night.
By the way, 60.00 pesos for a small cup of extra rice is just highway robbery.
Not my first time to try Tim Ho Wan. Got to try their Glorietta branch last year, but since this is a new branch and it's near our office, we paid it a visit on a Friday lunch.
There was already a line when we arrived, so I had my name listed. Good thing we were the next to be seated so we didn't wait long. But we had to wait a little to be served our food, which I know didn't take that long from our previous visit to their other branch.
We ordered one of each of the items we liked from the menu: the baked bbq bun, radish cake, vermicelli roll with shrimp, prawn dumpling, pork dumpling with shrimp, beancurd skin with shrimp, rice with spare ribs.
My only note: if you're conscious about eating oily food, don't ordered their fried dishes. TOO OILY. Honestly, everything we ate today was good, but nothing really worth craving for, EXCEPT for the baked bbq bun.
Next time, I'm just going to take out their pork bbq buns and devour all of them at home 😋😋😋
