Great for balikbayans, family gatherings and casual catch-up with friends, Gerry's grill has been churning out delicious filipino dishes for as long as I can remember. Though widely visible in Manila and beyond, it's surprising that I have only visited the place a handful times.
For our group lunch, we got the famous pork sisig, the "pampabata" crispy pata, bangus ala pobre, lumpiang shanghai, Kare-Kare, ensaladang mangga, adobong puso ng saging, the grilled tuna belly and my favorite, grilled squid! It was an all-filipino banquet and each dish had its own thing going for it. The sisig had the perfect crunch to it was really savory. The cripsy pata was tender and fried to perfection. The lumpiang shanghai was also a winner though it tasted a bit like Jollibee. Kare-kare was not tough to chew and it had a nutty flavor complimented by the shrimp paste (bagoong). The bangus was also good as it had a buttery taste. The grilled tuna belly and the squid were not overcooked. Both were done masterfully and tasted fresh. Ensalada and puso ng saging complimented the other dishes nicely.
Been here with my marriott fam to chill and celebrate the completion of my OJT. Sadly we don’t get to order food from their menu (oops there’s one-dynamite hehe) since my kuyas are not into filipino food that time hehe. We just ordered buckets of beer and have the food from yellow cab instead, which is permitted because we’re sitting al fresco.
Gerrys still okay especially their all-time favorites grilled tuna belly and grilled squid. Kare kare had a generous portion of meat. Tinomok is also a favorite of foreign guests.
Nice place. Food was pretty good. Although nothing spectacular. The green mangoes were very sour though. 2 orders of Cripy Pata was great, Grilled chicken tasted pretty average. We also had tilapia (fried) which was presented beautifully. The iced tea tasted a bit odd, twas not the usual iced teA you get from other diners. You be the judge of it. Not a fan though. Overall we spent 5k pesos. Was good
Love the place here its near our hotel where we stay during my vacation in Philippines @Belmomt Hotel... we dine here almost everyday 😄 we specially like to order the crispy patta... were very fond of this place...
Food was great, as usual. The service was a little slow and they brought us the wrong food, but quickly readjusted. Overall, good experience! 👍
Everything that we ordered tasted good. Clean place, fast service, accommodating servers, and quiet ambiance. A good place to visit before heading to the airport.

I have been at Gerry'grill previously erstwhile. Now, my first time here at Newport City as my 2 Aunts and Uncle came home from the US and called for a reunion... Such a tremendous and hefty dinner (as my photos would manifest 😁). It's just that there's no cellular signal here, so my brother waited for an hour looking for us. But that's fine, not their fault. So, our folks already had their lunch here but did not get to taste their Kare-kare🐂🐮. So I splendidly and happily suggested it. My aunt then ordered 2 servings. I wasn't surprised when they uttered affirmation of the dish on top of the boneless sinigang and sisig bangus they chose to order earlier (Sorry was not able to take pics of these 2). But, this was a perfect timing as we are many so we get to order more viands for me to taste and share my experience here. So, before they served those main dishes, my aunt ordered appetizers as it will take a while for the viands to be served. We had 🐙😊calamares and Lumpia or Spring roll🌯 which is like a viand already. But i have to wait so not be full yet. I tried their Kebab🍡🍢 as my brother-in-law ordered it and we also had Bangus🐟 alapobre (I think that is the name of the fried fish with sauce)... Non stop convo led to desserts🍨, but I ordered decaf.☕ So overall it is still great. Good job Gerry's grill for you never failed me or should I say my taste buds. 🌹🌹🌹Now, you've never failed my loved ones and relatives...😘😊👌👍

Gerry's is one of the most go-to restos for Filipino food. But I like this branch near Resorts World. Since we live nearby, we always have dinner here then get ourselves beer afterwards. It's not the usual crowded Gerry's and I really love the P500 bucket of 8 beers with free side dish. Their servers are friendly so it's a good place to be before we sleep.
Summary: 4.5/5
You won’t go wrong with their kare-kare.
This place is very refreshing compared to other branches as it is placed conveniently in an area with easy parking. It feels more private and professional. They serve delicious traditional Filipino food. I’ve eaten in several branches, but you can bring visitors/foreigners at this particular location.
Sisig 4.5/5
* Claimed to be their bestseller. It was their usual crunchy, sizzling sisig served in a hot-plate. If I may give a tip: don’t add egg. The egg DILUTES the flavor and also reduces the crunchiness of the sisig. Otherwise, it’s pretty good.
Sinigang na Bangus Belly 3.5/5
* Just meh. Hindi maasim enough for me. Three pieces of bangus belly.
Kare-kare 5/5
* My personal favorite, it comes with a LOT of peanut sauce. Flavorful, thick with a serving size large enough that you can pour it generously on rice. The bagoong has the right amount of saltiness (and sweetness), it’s adequately fried in oil as well.
"Calling it lumpia balls" 4.5/5
I forgot the name of this one and I can’t seem to find it in the menu. It looks like sipa from Wok Inn. It’s actually good, very much like veggie lumpia, recommend ko din siya.
Its Sunday and it's my moms birthday after the fambam outing we had lunch at Gerry's Grill I don't like the sisig i like the sisig in Gilligan's but I love the Kare Kare And their bagoong its so yummy. My diet mode is Ruined again but thank God for the food and the blessings
Not your ordinary Gerry's Grill. This branch shows to be different from the other branches, it is more classy not because it is near Resorts World but the ambience is so cool and so relaxing that you would feel you are not inside the ordinary Gerry's Grill that is crowded and noisy. The place is recommendable but I would suggest to bring mosquito repellant because mosquitoes also have a nightout drinking your blood from your feet:))
