it's good to be a zomato gold member
We used here the Zomato gold for the first time and dining experience was just perfect. We ordered one of their bestsellers, roast beef noodle which was a little spicy. The noodles were aldente and it was packed with tender roast beef. The bomb was their hainanese chicken which came in with soup. Overall, food was delicious and our wait staff was accommodating and friendly. We will definitely come back!
Serving was good and food was delicious. Good service also
My friends and I tried this place as this is just near our office and good thing it is a zomato gold partner.
If you love spicy food, their spicy dumplings is a must-try! I ordered Mala beef noodle but one of their staff asked if I'm sure about it because it is really really spicy. He then suggested their red roast beef noodle which is not a bad pick anyway.
This Taiwanese restaurant has 2 outlets, MOA and salcedo village. I have to say I loved the broth and noodles in their soup. This is definitely a must try if you are in the area.
Must try: red roast beef noodle soup, pan fried dumpling,
Serving size is good for one. The texture of the noodles is chewy and the soup was flavorful. The beef was thinly sliced and soft. Good value for money. As for the service, our waiter attended to all our questions and was attentive.
Tried Mazendo at S Maison for a Zomato lunch for 3pax. Orders included Red Roast Beef Noodles, Braised Beef Tendon,Pan-fried Pork Dumplings, and Taiwanese Style Porkchop fried rice (4 dishes, 2 Zomato users). Menu was very selective; expect dumpling, noodle soup, and quite a few meat/rice dishes. Taste leaned towards mildly spicy for the noodles and tendon. The braised tendon looked far from the proportion on their menu pic, just 4 small cuts of tendon you can enjoy. Overall dining experience could have been better if the waiting staff be more pleasant (Migo, one of their staff, was an exception. Kudos for the guy and his attentive, and friendly smiles for our table).
Ready your stomach because servings for the dumplings are big. The sesame pork dumplings were especially delicious, but the Sichuan style dumplings were good as well, with just the right amount of spiciness. The mapo tofu was soft and spicy. The yogurt green tea was ok, get the passionfruit iced tea instead because it tasted refreshing. Skip the stir fried cabbage and the steamed tofu as these were both bland.
Great food as always at Mazendo! We ordered the Hainanese chicken, chicken chops and dumplings in chili oil. There wasn't that much people so serving time was super quick. The service was exceptional - kuyas were able to provide everything we didn't even realize we needed. Mazendo definitely staying on my faves list ❤
We were looking for a chinese quick fix earlier + something to ease my flu! Ta dah! Dumplings + black vinegar! Very potent cleanser! And of course, protein beef + SPICY BROTH! MALA noodle soup!
If you are not really into spicy food, tone down the spice via selecting the lowest spice in the menu. We chose 2 and boy! We sweat it outl
Servers are very attentive, and the hot tea was good! Legit tea! (i guess it is rice tea?)
Definitely will come back! Especially since we are on Zomato Gold! Thabks zomato gold for the 1+1 Food!
The place was great. Price of food wasn’t expensive.
The staff were friendly.
The taste of the food was good. Nothing too special but not bad.
Surprisingly good noodles! I always tended to ignore this restaurant in SMaison but now I think it will be one of my go tos when in the area.
The food was great. Really liked their seasame dumplings and their noodles. Almost went on a Food Coma because I couldn't stop eating. Only down side was they didn't have chili oil during our visit, but it was a great experience nonetheless.
Been craving taiwanese noodles lately and i kust say that its really worth it to catch the closing hours just to eat this and not to mention staff were accomodating!
The chicken chop was good. Crunchy on the outside, chicken was cooked well. Rice was really tasty. Ordered the pork noodle soup as well with two chili stars. It was a little too spicy for my taste. The overall dining experience was nice. Servers were friendly and food was served swiftly.
After the World Chocolate Day fair at S Maison, we headed over to Mazendo for dinner.
We got the following:
Sesame dumplings
Hot beef rice
Chicken chop rice
Fried dumplings
They really do have great sesame dumplings. Their dumplings are made fresh daily.
The beef and chicken dishes were also filling.
Overall, wait staff was very nice and we had a nice meal.
This place is amazing, there is not a lot of choices here in manila when it comes to sze chuan style cooking. Mazendo is definitely one of the must try if you love this cuisine.
The thick noodles are coated nicely by the spicy and numby beef consumme. The dumplings are both sweet and savory and very flavorful. The tofu was soft with its thick mala and peanuty sauce.
A very descent place for your mala cravings.
Ambiance is very nice. If you want to have great coffee, this is the place to be :) they have a wide selection of coffee and pastries to choose from which is great!
Its a bit pricey though.. even higher priced than the likes of Starbucks.
As for Zomato Gold users, 1+1 can only be used for Waffles and pastries only. Other food items are not included.
The smell of freshly brewed tea and Chinese spices are sure to give you a welcome here at Mazendo!
I went here with my boyfriend on a Sunday afternoon, and was immediately greeted by the warm atmosphere of the restaurant. As we are new to the place, we asked the waiter for recommendations. We ordered red roast beef noodle(roast beef, chinese spices, hand-pulled noodles) , hainanese chicken rice (chicken, garlic, ginger, sesame, hoisen sauce, rice) , steamed dumplings (pork, cabbage, freshly made dumpling wrappers) , and red roast beef rice.
The broth of the red roast beef noodle is rich and full of flavor. The beef mixed with the chinese spices blended well together. The hainanese chicken was tender. The dumplings were okay. The problem I had with the dumplings was the wrapper separated from the filling once pulled. The freshly brewed tea complimented all the dishes we had.
Don't be intimidated by the expensive look of the restaurant. It's rather cheap for a places and the prices of the food were reasonable. Great for dinner dates and family dinners!
This isn't my first time to dine here but every time I do, it's always a lovely experience. Ordered their Vegetarian dumplings in Chili Oil and Sesame variants, and holy wow. Each bite just sends us to food heaven. Freshly made, served warm, the wrap's silky soft and the perfectly mixed veggies inside create a yummy medley. Their Red Roast Beef completes Dale's day. Maybe I should make it a habit to visit at least once a month! Just so GLAD they have vegetarian options for their dumplings, otherwise it's a big loss for me!
Forgot to take pics but food was good and cheap considering the taste and the location. The noodles were obviously hand made and freshly made, as it felt like the starch has not settled yet. the dumplings were equally yummy with delicate soy sauce and unlimited black vinegar— rare among restos. This place is def a bang for the buck!
we ordered the roast beef noodles, the noodles were thick and chewy, the beef are soft too. we also ordered sesame dumplings which hubby thinks that the peanut sauce has burnt after taste. while the sichuan dumplings were good. The ambiance was nice and cozy.
The food were flavorful and authentic. The servings were big, fit for 2 (if not hungry). Moreover, the waiters were attentive and polite. Overall, we were very satisfied and we will definitely come back. Thank you zomato gold!
Affordable place for your Taiwanese food cravings like pork chop and pork dumpling in chili oil. They even have noodles, dumpling, and fried rice sets for any mood you may have. Although Zomato Gold is excluded for the sets.
Decided to dine in here and got Mala beef noodle soup with mild spicyness, pork dumplings, taiwanese pork chop with egg rice, and milk tea.
Everything that we ordered for is very good. We were so full afterwards. We even ordered for extra rice but hainanese rice doesn't smell good but the staff is very accommodating and understanding; they changed our order to plain rice.
Overall our experience here is pleasant and we'll definitely go back here.

We ordered the red roast beef noodles, pan fried pork dimsum and Szechuan pork dimsum. I loved the unique flavors each dish presented. Will definitely go back for more.
Great place, superb food and accomodating staff. Mala beef noodles is my favorite plus the dumpling in chilli oil. My hubby tried their chicken on rice and he said it was it was good too, plus the beef tendon that are sooo flavorful.. It’s so good that im going back and dining again tom, bringing my friends with me, for another round. Used my gold privilege and i saved a lot.. thank you.
Dumplings - MUST order! Really yummy 😋 smooth texture too. And it has some soup inside like a xiao long bao!
Zha Jiang Mien - Frankly, i did not enjoy this. The taste was just too much. I'm not sure what it was... But it lacked pork. Most of it was I think tofu... Noodles on the other hand were good.
I still might go back and try their other dishes. :)
Service was very good.
Love the dishes we ordered. Spicy dumplings in chili sauce was spot on! Would highly recommend. Also, the prices considering the serving sizes are commendable considering that this is in S Maison. Will return here
If you are looking for some really good chinese beef noodle soup this is the place to go to. Always been my go to place to get the Mala Beef noodle soup, it’s spicy and beefy at the same time. The customer service is overall great!
Used zomato gold during my visit and it’s a great place to get a bang for your buck.
They allowed us to bring in cake for a colleague’s birthday (without charging corkage). They even put a candle and everyone sang HBD. Kudos to the warm and amazing staff! Thanks for your great service! :)
Food was great. I think the ala-carte meals was good for 2 servings already (depends on your appettite). My friend and I tried our best to finish what we ordered (maybe the noodles was just heavy). Crew was polite and always ready to assist.
Finally got to convince the family to try this place eversince it opened. Being a noodle/s lover, the Taiwanese Beef Noodles (Red Roast) was top priority to try which did not disappoint. The dumplings (Chili Oil) were unbelievably good. The Chicken Chops were good too. The only things to mention and take notice would be how the noodle soup was served lukewarm and far from hot which the waiter immediately offered to heat or replace, the Zhajiang Mien version here is far from the oily and extremely tasty ones that you would have in China and Taiwan. Tasted more like a pesto pasta. Good thing there was enough oil in the Chili Oil Dumplings that i poured into the Zhanjiang Mien which completely salvaged the dish. Will definitely be coming back to this place.

We’ve eaten here 3 times already.
Red Roast Beef Noodle 5 stars, excellent, the beef broth tastes like it was boiled for hours. Tender beef.
Consome Beef Noodle 2 stars, the broth is very light but beef is tender.
Service 5 stars
Would go back again.
Availed of Zomato Gold 1+1 food so always a good deal
Good food, quick service and friendly staff. The restaurant’s ambiance is relaxing. Will definitely come back and recommend this place. Must try!
If you’re craving for Taiwanese food, then this is the place to be. We went to this resto mainly because of Zomato Gold and it did not disappoint! Dishes were rich and flavorful yet light on the tummy. Staff were polite and friendly, and service was pretty quick. Would definitely go back to this resto even without the Zomato Gold privileges.
I have eaten in mazendo for about 3 to 4 times already. That already says that the food is quite good. The servers were very attentive and the ambiance has this old town taiwanese feel to it. Overall i rated it 4 out of 5, it is value for money and good service. My only comment is that the serving is a little smaller than one would expect, hoping to get heartier servings the next time around, but will definitely go back again.
We tried this restaurant for being a Zomato Gold member. So far my dining experience was satisfied. The food was good and the service was well attended.
Their service was great! Our server was super friendly and had good knowledge of the menu, which I think is not as common nowadays.
We ordered the Red Roast Beef Noodles and dumplings. Both were very good. Noodles were perfectly chewy. Beef was cooked just right and the broth had a good depth of flavor. All at a reasonable price.
Great experience overall!
Dont believe the negative reviews. Also, the zomato estimate of 1400 for 2 people isnt accurate. 1000 is a more accurate estimate. Order the Red roast beef noodles. The beef, although has a little bite is very tasty and still quite soft. The noodles also have a bite to it making it very pleasant chew on. service is also top notch where the waitresses know what to recommend and gives proper description and food pairing. 5 stars.
I loved everything we ordered. I liked how chewy and springy the noodles are. I guess my only complaint would be that the wrapper of the dimsum is too thick. When it cooled, it became quite chewy and had a weird texture. I’ll come visit other branches for sure.
Super love their dumplings. Best dumplings I’ve ever tasted. SWEAR. It’s really good. I didnt like the noodles much, I think it was too spicy for me
Subtle and comforting ambience complimenting our Chilli dumplings and Chicken rice set which were seasoned to our taste, not too salty nor too spicy! Portion serving was sufficient and the dumpling dish was good for sharing.
Value for money using my Zomato Gold membership. Will be back again. Only snag was we waited to be seated for a little while although the restaurant wasn’t busy.
I've been wanting to try this place out for the longest time as one of my friend keep raving about this. Finally after two years, here I am.
I've ordered their sesame dumplings and chili oil dumplings for 220each and both were good. The dumplings itself was flavorful and juicy. The sauces (sesame and chili oil) were good compliments to the dumplings.
For the noodles, we've had their dry noodles of ja jiang mien and sesame noodles. I didn't like their version of ja jiang mien. Something was off for me for the toppings/sauce. The sesame noodles was good on the other hand. I like how the sauce balanced well with the noodles. The noodles were perfect, chewy and very nice texture.
I am excited to try their soup noodles next time.
The food and ambience were good. Staff were very attentive and they have a fast service.
Sesame Pork Dumpling: 3/5
Red Roast Beef Noodles: 3/5 - Noodles were very firm and beef was really soft.
Hainanese Chicken: 4/5
Definitely worth it with zomato gold privileges. Great ambiance, unique food, and authentic cuisine. If you feel like eating something different, then this is a place to be. I will definitely come back if this stays as a zomato gold partner. 😁
Their noodle and dumpling combo is value for money :) Sesame sauce is rich, but satisfying. The dumpling is juicy, but not bland. The place is quiet, and noticed they have a lot of staff.
Hmmm honestly we were hesitant to try this restaurant due to the poor reviews. Good thing we followed our instincts to try it.
Firstly, service was swift and friendly. Food is great and has authentic Taiwanese flavors. All dishes we tried were very good. Best of all, we get complimentary dishes due to zomato gold deal. The dishes were portioned well and not expensive. The deal made the meal very affordable. This will be one of our favorites in the MOA area. Will be back really soon 👍
Everything was fine, was worried at first since this place has a lot of 1 star rating. But we gave a chance since we never been here, so this 1st time experience with Mazendo was Great, food was nice, their milk tea was good, red soup noodles was great, their dimsum also great.
Services also over the top, they are polite, humble and fast
It’s always a nice visit whenever we eat here. Ordered pan fried dumplings, taiwanese pork set (with fried rice), sesame noodles, and pork dumplings. All were super good!!!!
What we liked: consumme beef noodle soup, panfried dumpling, steamed dumpling, pickled cucumber, porkkchop rice
What we didnt like: zhajiang noodles (black sauce) and the tofu appetizer
I was craving for noodles with soup last night, that’s why we decided to try this restaurant. It was our first time so we ordered the recommendation of the server which was the beef soups. I got the consomme beef soup while my companion got the Red beef soup. Upon tasting the dishes, we can say that we really liked the tenderness and flavor of the beef and the texture of the noodles. If you like a clear broth get the consomme but if you want a broth with spices get the Red beef soup.We also tried their vegetable steamed dumplings..It was light and flavorful. The staff was very attentive to our needs.
Twas my first time to eat here, Impressed though it has odd taste (in a positive way) I ordered Noodle set with Chicken chops. Definitely recommending it to everyone!
It was one of those nights when we couldn’t decide where to eat. So i chose any resto available in Eatigo because who doesn’t want discounts right? Since this was new and we love Chinese food, we tried it out and we were definitely not disappointed.
Their soup bowls are big, and it’s not one of those restos which deceive you with big bowls and you end up with all soup and little of the good stuff. The bowls here are the real deal. They are actually good enough for two, especially if you’re a light eater.
We had the Mala beef soup noodle, and even with the 1 chili icon, it’s hot! Halfway through, my nose was runny but i have to say, it was good. I love the chewy noodles and big slices of beef. And the soup itself is just hearty.
The dumplings were 190php for 8 pieces. And it’s not your usual dumplings. When you bite into it, it’a actually soup-y, you would think it’s a xiaolongbao, only it’s not. Very tasty.
We also had the dry noodles set with porkchop and pickled cucumber. I would love the porkchop to be on the thicker side though. Otherwise, I have no other complaints. For what they call as dry noodle, it’s actually very tasty, and the pickled cucumber balances the entire meal.
There mala soup is very unique and special.service is also very quick also offer some discount in eatigo .thinking this premier location, cant expect any more
Always a fan of Sesame paste... This dish of boiled dumpling in Mazendo in sesame sauce is awesome! Price is very reasonable. So far a taste worth keep trying again and again
Damn this is one of the best noodle houses I’ve been to. Their noodle is soft and chewy and you just want to keep eating more. Also their dumplings are the bomb and the prices are reasonable. Definitely coming back again :)
Satisfies my craving on a rainy day!
Been here for 3 times already and today is another day
I love their red roast beef noodle soup.
. broth has a rich blend of flavor
. noodle was cooked well and tast good
. beef chunks are soft and tasty
. serving was big
Other items I tried
*mala noodle soup - very spicy even though I choose level 1 only. I wasn't able to enjoy this.
*shrimp fried rice - just like any other fried rice. Its good
*dumplings - Tastes fresh but how I wish they have black vinegar.
*pork slices w/rice (i forgot the name. hihi) - my brother counted the slices and it was 8. His comment was that it was salty for him.
*service tea - i like the rich flavor with it to wash down the food
Service was great, servers were attentive to what we need.
P.S. pictures were taken halfway during eating. I satisfied my tummy first and forgot about taking pictures
Tried their really tasty boiled dumplings. I like the the pork with Spicy sauce. Eight pieces of dumpling per bowl all ready good to make you busog.😂 We got ours at Booky BOGO promo at 220. Kind of pricey if not on promo. 😀

Taiwanese Noodles from @mazendoph
_🍜On the Table🍜_
1⃣ Red Roast Beef Noodles
Mazendo's bestseller. Thick noodles, tender beef, and flavorful broth. It's quite different from the commonly known ramen broth which dominates the noodle soup scene with tonkotsu or miso. This broth is tomato & soy sauce based with beef goodness. It has a hint of sweetness possibly from the tomato.
2⃣ Mala Vermicelli Noodle with Pork
Mala sauce based soup. What is Mala sauce? It is made of Szechuan peppers and other spices. For this dish, you get to choose between thick noodles or vermicelli, and for toppings pork or beef. There are also three levels of spiciness. We chose the mildest spice option but the heat overpowers the soup. I can barely taste any meat broth, beef nor pork, in it. I'm not sure if its supposed to be that way. This comes with youtiao, a type of bread or pastry. The starchy pieces go well with the spicy soup. The pork slices are all meat but not as tender as the beef in the previous noodle dish.
Notes: serving size can be good for 2 especially with the thick noodles (or one hungry person)
