The 999 pesos meal is definitely worth it. There's a lot of excess for the three of us so I'm sure it'll be good enough for four people or more, depending on your appetite.
The meal consists of a whole fried chicken, seafood binakol (its quite close to tinola but with coconut included). The dish is a specialty of Aklan and nearby provinces but usually uses chicken. This one has shrimp, bangus and squid rings. Rice, buko pandan for dessert and drinks are also included with the meal.
The new location is also more convenient compared to their old space before. Its right infront of National Bookstore, which is close to the entrance.
Max's restaurant is one of the Filipino family favorites. They offer good pinoy food at a very reasonable price. They really give me that taste that reminds me of my childhood days.
Food: The chicken is the best seller, they really lived up to their slogan "sarap to the bones". Other favorites includes Pancit Canton, Pancit Luglug (this one i love so much), Kare kare and of course the Caramel bars.
Service: I've been in this branch a lot pf times, and the service is consistent, the staff are friendly and accommodating, and it usually takes 10-15 minutes for the food to be served.
Place: This branch is a bit small and can get very crowded on Sundays, but it's well maintained.
I'll keep coming back for their chicken.
I'm enjoying eating in max's restaurant because the food was so masarap especially when you share it with your love ones .. And the service was so good because the people there is serve with smile in there face .. :)

Max will and forever be one of my favorite restaurant for the reason that this place stays true to its advertisements. Now, this branch is not exactly the best Max branch but it is one of the good ones. It's nice and small and casual and really nice when you have your family with you. If it's your first time at Max, you should definitely go for the chicken meal at around Php 199 whichever combination pleases you. What I like best about their chicken here is that it has its own unique flavor that you cannot simply find anywhere else. I like how the chicken has just the right amount of juice and tenderness in it. I usually forego any sidings like pancit or what not because the chicken alone does justice to the meal.
