The cake that I had (Pistachio) was amazing. It wasn't too sweet, not too heavy on the tummy but just enough. Their gelato was comparable to most gelato places as their prices. They do have a good al fresco location in the plaza though where you can sit, chat and sip your cappuccino. Overall, it was a good experience and can be worth your money.
If you want to go to satisfy your sweet tooth, this would be one of the best places to go to at Venice
Piazza Mc Kinley.
The place is quite small given that there are very few tables inside but oh well you can sit outside and look at the nice view of the area.
Food wise they have amazing cake. Not too sweet and overwhelming. Their gelatos are amazing too. I hope though that they would add some snack food on their menu aside from cakes and ice cream. I think this is the reason why although they have great dessert items, they aren’t visited by a lot of people.
Overall I would recommend this place 100%
The place was empty when me and friends got there. The place was small and the tables were small as well. Though small, ambience is still great. Lighting is good as well. It really looked good on our picture.
Their staff welcomed us with a warm smile. It was our first time here so we asked the staff there what was their bestseller and their recommendations. The staff were good enough to share to us what we should try to have a great experience. They only have small number of choices so it was easy for us to finally decide which one to try.
The gelatos they have are quite pricey but it is just worth it because of its unique taste. Though the texture is not that much the gelato-type, it was still good. They have cute snacks as well that is good if your want to give it so someone.
Good quality of gelato, but is really pricey for a small cup. Too small space, but ambiance and lightings are good. Limited varieties of cakes and gelatos.

I love Chiara’s!
Seating space was small but no one really sits anyway. The store was well lit. It’s a happy place!
Loooooved the speculoos with it’s tiny crisps. The strawberry had real strawberries! And the dark chocolate wasn’t sweet! I picked the perfect combination.
My friend loved the coffee gelato too. And my other friend loved the pistachio which was very nutty.
Not as sticky as real gelato but stickier than the usual Filipino ones 😊
Will come back for the cakes and hoping for more flavors.
Staff is polite and very helpful with our orders. 🤗 I ordered for Foresta Nera as suggested by kuya. This is one of their best sellers for gelato 🍨 Chiara's our go-to cake shop before and it's the first time i've tried their gelato, didn't disappoint. 🤸♀️ I gave them a 4 because when we went there it was really humid. The aircon isn't working 🙄 and it's summer 🙄
I know it's a gelateria but I love going here for coffee and cake. They make very good espresso-based hot drinks. The cakes are reasonably priced and yummy. Haven't tried the gelato though, but I've tried the Amarcord (a mango-based gelato + toast dessert) which was just ho-hum.
Mango almond delight is good, we bought a whole one for my mother's Birthday yesterday night sa Grand Canal Venice Mckinley. Na-notice lang namin kagabe na yung cashier seems to have a problem, hindi sya naka smile. ok lang naman yun pero nakasimongot sya, nakakaloka kahit masarap yung binebenta nyo hindi naman warm and friendly yung staff nyo wala din.
Very good cakes and gelato ice creams. Very exquisite taste. Yet bad service. I wanted to order the whole Midnight Slice cake and asked for the latest expiration they have. One crew said February 28, 2018 po. Today is Feb 25, 2018...im like, really 3 days nalang...wala nang mas late p dun?.... Wala n po maam. And so i decided to take 2slices of it and 2slices of the other cakes and a cup of gelato... After i paid, the cashier said that there was an expiration of March 2, 2018. And So i was really diasspointed with them...(realllyyyy after i ordered slices of it ...now ur saying na meron pala!!!)...maygush. and so i we just ate and enjoyed the cake i ordered at home. Still delish!
Im just so sad that we were not able to buy the whole Midnight Slice cake :(
Chiara's is an Italian dessert shop located right by the Venice canal and the malls own love lock bridge. We don't normally go here as were mostly worried about the tourists obsessing over the canal. But at 2pm on a weekday, we were lucky enough to have the place almost to ourselves.
For a gelato place, they only have 10 flavors and a very small display chiller. They have a display of cakes on the side and serve coffee too.
Our gelato was pretty good. They were very creamy, not icy, not foamy. According to the server their strawberry is a bit sour because they use real strawberries. However I didn't see any seeds on them, so not sure how they used real ones. The pistachio was really good too. But, no nuts in my scoop. My favorite was the ricotta with caramelized figs! It only said ricotta on the display, I had to guess what it was and confirm it with the server. My toddler got all vanilla and she was able to finish a whole cup. I didn't bother to try the other flavors.
They use a small scooper, I love that you can choose 3 kinds even for the small cup, 120/cup.
Their vanilla caffeine-free frappe was so disappointing at 160. It had more milk than gelato, super malabnaw. At least it wasn't icy. But my son was not happy at all. He was hoping his order of a "shake" would yield more ice cream for him. Guess we're not coming back for that.
We sat right outside their store, though they also have tables right by the canal. We were lucky enough to enjoy the cool air conditioning coming out from the mall doors right beside the shop. Luckier that there were barely any people passing by.
Loved the stracciatella and hazelnut flavors. For those who like tartness, go for their fruit flavors. I enjoyed their strawberry gelato the best. This place is a good option for those who love frozen treats. Ambiance is also a plus as you can see the canal from the outlet - the crowd around the piazza though affects the overall ambiance particularly during Sundays.
Gelato 💥💥💥💥💥
Ambiance ✨✨✨✨✨
Service 🔥🔥🔥
I tried almost all their gelatos except mint and tiramisu. My favorites are Pistachio and Hazelnut. Servings matches the prize. Subtle taste.
*Good interior
*Servers are kinda nice (doesn't talk much or give suggestions unless you are ordering).
*Didn't try any of their cakes (yet)

The gelato is very presentable actually... the ambiance of the store is very great whether it is a simple one it is very relaxing, the Primavera Strawberry gelato taste too good for me 😍💕 somehow the price was quite expensive yet i will still give a good review for this one. I should actually gave a perfect review score but the place is also small to accomodate those lovely guests who wants to taste the Gelato.
Chocolate Mint is good but it's more minty than chocolate for my taste.
Next time I'll try other items in their menu.
The place is really small for big groups.
The staff are attentive.
My friends and I craved for something sweet after eating lunch so we decided to stop by Chiara's Gelateria. Although the place is small, it is very clean and well ventilated. Chairs and tables were really near each other so chilling in the area for too long might be consider by the customers. Madali lang kasi magkarinigan talaga so keep that in mind for your chitchats. 😊
As for the foods we ordered, the cakes were amazing! Not too sweet which we like very much. The ice creams were tasty as well. As for the price, it may differ depending on your choice but for me, it is all worth it. Yey for desserts! Lol. 😆

Care for a quick gelato experience overlooking the mini grand canal ala Venice style? Then Chiara's Gelateria is your best choice for that best spot at Venice Grand Canal Mall. It's actually just an add on, the real deal are their Gelatos. With variety of flavors to choose from. Among them I tried and fell in love with are Pistachio, Snickers Stacciatela (I hope I got that right). It has a smooth texture, right amount of sweetness and price ranging from P120 to 200 it's one ice cream that's worth a try. 😍 😄 🍦
Finally! At last! I had the chance to have my gelato-fix and dessert fix here. 😊
I have seen photos from friends as well as recommendations and even their IG account is quite active that made the curiosity hype up even more 😁
Last night, some friends decided to visit the canal. We had dinner in Alab then here for dessert.
I was eyeing the panna cottas, only to my dismay that it already run out. 😢 I also wanted to try out the gelato but was not so keen as before (IDK).
We ordered some cakes instead.
Original Tiramisu (175php/slice) caught my eye and I decided to get one. We also got another not-so-sweet cake 🍰 Mango Almond Delight (115php/slice).
We both loved the cakes ♥️
The textures were both amazingly good. 👍🏻
•Tiramisù is quite filling, would work really well with black coffee ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
•Mango Almond Delight is a chiffon cake. The chiffon is baked right, it’s also not sweet. What made it sweet was the mangoes on top and in between layers. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
•Gelato Small 3 Scoops min. (120php) ⭐️⭐️ My friend tried it out and I was able to taste some. I found that it’s quite overrated. The gelato texture is not as thick and creamy like the other gelatos. The gelato was thin in texture, IMO, it is similar to a melting ice candy.. 😕 A bit dismayed about it.
What was also disappointing was the espresso machine closes earlier than the mall and the cafe. Something to do with the calibration of the machine or electrical that’s tied to the mall.. IDK. #dikonagetsyungexplanationnila 🤨😐
We dined at their cafe at 10pm ish. It was just sad that a gelato cafe with no coffee, not even a brewed coffee is available at wee hours of the day.. so sad.
Service 4/5

Stracciatella milk with chocolate is the best, pistachio and hazelnut is also good, get the 5 scoops with cialda at p200 and creamy, highly recommended
I don't have a "sweet tooth", but this shop made my palate satisfied with all of their food! So let me breakdown my over-all experiences with them.
Disclaimer: This is just based on the experience I had, and I'll try to be as objective as possible.
1. Location (sorry i don't have photos of the shop, but you can search it in google)
1.a THUMBS UP 👍🏻: I love their area outside as it just besides the canal, and you'll have a great view with the boats passing by, or just by looking to their beautiful buildings.
2.a NEED FOR IMPROVEMENT: Not that much, but I just hoped they had a bigger area inside.
2. CREWS/STAFFS
2.a THUMBS UP 👍🏻: SMILING crews are always the best. It's the number one thing I always want to see to the restaurants or coffee shops I go to. It makes you feel welcome, and accommodated very well whenever they give you that. And Chiara's crews gave their genuine smiles to us from the moment we enter and ordered, until we left the shop.
2.b NEED FOR IMPROVEMENT: Can't think of any. I'm satisfied with their service!
3. FOOD AND DRINK
*Let's start with the coffee ☕️
3.a CARAMEL MOCACCINO
THUMBS UP 👍🏻: The best hot coffee I ever had so far! I like the balance taste of sweetness and bitterness. I liked it more when I added the brown sugar as if gives the exact taste I'm looking for a coffee. What I liked the most is after I finished drinking, there's some caramel drizzle left at the bottom part of the cup, and with the added brown sugar, I liked it when I scooped it and tasted the sweetness of the caramel.
NEED FOR IMPROVEMENT: None. 😉
3.b Gelato
***So I ordered a small cup with three scoops (please see picture for the 3 flavors)
***For a non-sweet tooth person like me, this shop makes me wanna go back there! Find out the reasons below.
THUMBS UP 👍🏻: I just simply love the natural flavors! They're still sweet of course! But because of putting natural flavors, each flavors balanced the sweetness of the ice cream.
NEED FOR IMPROVEMENT: None.
3.c Cake
***I had their Choco Hazelnut Royale Slice and Mango Tiramisu
THUMBS UP 👍🏻: Again and again, I love it! This shop is already my favorite as they don't put too much sweetness with their cakes and ice creams. These cakes are really delish! Every bite is totally worth it! Not being O.A., but it's a must try!
NEED FOR IMPROVEMENT: Still can't think of any. 😉
Ps. It's a great thing that this kind of shop exits! Totally worth the visit and the price! 😊
Ice cream is very dear to me. It's the one item that carries most of my memories, not only as a child, but even as I grow up. Even before I knew how good food tastes like, ice cream has already been my constant companion, both through happy and troubled times. Now that I'm growing older, my love for ice cream is just growing stronger, especially that I have been introduced to the superior kind, the gelato.
Chiara [kya-ra] did celebrate their 1st year anniversary branch at venice grand canal where they made a promo of buy one take one. I believe Chiara's gelato are underrated so i'd love to clarify --what they're selling is not ice cream. It's gelato. Their gelato are smooth and rich in flavor. However they lack textures as most of us like to enjoy our cold desserts with nuts, crispies and all those extras....
Try my recommendations (😍)
Gelato - small cup @120PhP big cup @200PhP
📌😍Pistachio
📌😍Dark Chocolate
Best paired with mint flavor
📌😍Hazelnut
📌😍Nutella
📌Mint
I find the mint flavor strong
📌Mango
📌Strawberry
Meh. If you like strawberries with a little kick of sourness, this is for you.
📌Stracciatella
My least favorite. Although it got milk chocolate flakes, i find it too simple- vanilla-ish flavor
Cakes
📌😍 Tiramisu
📌😍 Mango Almond
📌 Chocolate Hazelnut
Iced Coffee Drinks -165PhP
Their drinks needs a little improvement though. We find it too thin.
📌😍Iced Peached Latte
This one is weirdly good. The farthest pair of citrus we had so far is orange, but peach, it will be an acquired taste!
📌😍Iced Hazelnut Cappuccino
For me this drink is the best among the rest. This drink is good as being thin--so the hazelnut flavor is elaborated.
📌 Caramel Frozen Coffee
📌 Iced Vanilla Coffee
Chiara pastry is Italian in origin, but they do not plan on introducing pasta and and other Italian commons, because they want to focus more on the desserts, most especially on gelato says their marketing
The place is not so good during weekends as it is really jam-packed. Taking away some points from my score. You might want to try their other branches (MOA, SM Sucat). The management plans on opening two more branches this year.

I tried their Chocolate Frappe. It's made from their chocolate gelato. It's so gooey that it'll last in your mouth. This is the first time I tried to drink an ice cream frappe. I find it so sweet that I cannot drink it all. Maybe it's too much for me since I'm just new to this kind of drink.
UPDATE: It was a payday Friday yesterday. I had two options to buy cakes in Venice Grand Canal Mall. Budget was less than P1,000.00. Cakes were limited, and some of the cakes were sliced already. I can't find a bigger cake available at that time. I bought Chiara's Tiramisu Cake for my colleague's birthday. It's smaller than what we usually buy for birthday celebrants here.
Verdict: It's soft and it's just right. The coffee powder/toppings added bitterness to the cake and it worked well with the sweetness of the Tiramisu cake. We liked it. Everyone is saying it's delicious. I can't think of any bad comment on this cake aside from the size of it. They said it's small for a P950.00. Well, I agree, it is pricey, but it got me. Definitely a good deal Chiara's.
Tinidors at Ku---
😂Tried Chiara's gelato during my first time in Venice Grand Canal mall for additional "Italian feels." 😂😂 This "small" cup with 3 "small" scoops (strawberry, cheesecake, choco) costs Php130. It tasted okay, but not sulit for me.
The store is quite small but it was okay since I prefer to sit outside (for the view!) Service was okay, too. They offer free taste before you order.
This is not my first time in Chiara's Pastry. I went here several times for their gelatos. But this time I was able to try some of their cakes and new summer cooler products or they called it Iced Treats.

Just had coffee and cake here after dinner. I tasted their gelato but it didn't interest me to get a cup considering I'm a gelato lover. Coffee is okay. I also ordered their hazelnut chocolate cake, it's dense and tastes okay.
Place is small but bright and clean. They have tables outside by the canal which is a nice area if it's not a hot and humid. Only in this mall you can enjoy a cup of coffee with a view of a clean canal, clean air and great music.
IL PADRINO
Combination of toast bread topped with white chocolate cream and pistachio gelato. The gelato was nutty and smooth on each spoonful. thick and creamy, doesn't melt that fast while the toasted bread was just okay nothing special on it. (They should put more scoop of gelato) The service was good though.
Oh gosh ang sarap!!! 😭😭😭😭 wala ko masabi hihihi i love the coffee flavored one! And the staff we're very nice. Plus!!!!!! I like the place since its near the bridge so the view is nice and i got the chance to see people while enjoying my gelato 😋😋😋😋 xoxo
Coffee gelato in your hand with the grand canal view will definitely make your day.
After our morning dance rehearsals, me and my friend decided to pass through Venice Piazza since it is very humid outside. We stopped to take some pictures because it looks like they just cleaned the canal, and then I saw this Gelato and Cake shop. We were looking at the menu inside undecided what to get when a crew approached us, he gave us the menu and offered for us to sit while he take the orders. We ordered 2 of the bestsellers, the Foresta Nera - P220 and Coppa del Nonno - P220. Not your typical overpriced Italian resto, this one is quite affordable for the tastes that they offer. I personally enjoyed the brutti ma buoni with coffee gelato, its like a meringue cookie with chewy nuts inside. The place is quaint and cozy but not too spacious inside. You can sit outside with the grand canal view if its not too humid or raining. I'll go back to try their Toasted Bread + Gelato. 👍

Unique taste of flavors.
Product: we tried their Forestra Nera and La Pantera Rosa. Presentation didn't give me a wow factor but the taste did. It tastes exactly the way it should taste. The Forestra Nera is composed of chocolate and vanilla gelato, it does melt quite quickly despite of the cold temperature inside but the taste is exquisite. I am quite fond of the chocolate flavor which surprises me because chocolate isn't my favorite flavor, it tasted like it was rich in cocoa instead of just milk and sugar. The La Pentera Rosa, though not the best pick for me, still aces the flavor. The gelato was sour and so was the syrup, that should be enough to tell you that they are trying to give you the authentic strawberry flavor experience. The toast was warm which was good but also melts the gelato quicker. The whip cream definitely helps cancel the sour flavor if you're not that into it.
Venue: I love how welcoming this place looks like. It is really good to seat outside and enjoy the view of the canal while eating gelato in your chair. It is a small place but it's neat place, I mean the clean neat but it's also pretty cool. The servers are very nice too, they are happy to help you decide with your order and will tell you if you're gonna order a dish with alcohol in it and that is really helpful.
Another player in the market, don't be deceive by the small cup 3 scoops until the honest staff name Yatz said its a small scoop. Flavors are limited but well chosen. I will try the other offers in the menu next time.
GELATO!!!
Ordered Il Padrino which is Toast with White Chocolate Cream and Pistachio Gelato, priced at Php 225. For a dessert lover like me, I enjoyed the dessert. But I felt that the gelato serving is insufficient to the size of the toast, and it would have been better if I ordered gelato only.
Chiara's Pastry is the new gelato joint to grace the newest foodie destination in the Metro. I've never heard of them till now. It's hot and humid, a gelato break seems appropriate.
Ciara's is a quiant dessert shop located at the ground floor of Venice Grand Canal. They specialise in handcrafted gelato and dessert toasts. It was half full when i visited. The inside houses three tables and it is quite crowded. Customers may dine al fresco via the tables outside.
I was pleasantly surprised that the prices are easy on the wallet. A small cup with three scoops only costs php 120. There were limited choices of flavors though. I picked the following flavors:
| Yogurt. This is my favourite among the two. Well, biased opinion as I like yogurt. The texture is smooth and it feels like i am eating yogurt, except it is gelato form.
| Strawberry. Mediocre. Flavor is good but lacks the wow factor. It goes well with the yogurt variant though. I made it a point to scoop half and half. Voila, strawberry yogurt!
| Pistachio. This pale green hued gelato maybe easy on the eyes but it packs a punch. Smooth and nutty on each spoonful.
This place was inviting, my friend and I chose to sat al afresco along the Venice Grand Canal. We were greeted with all smiles, then handed us over the menu. The food rep was kind enough to take our order without going to the counter since line began to form inside the bakery. Service was fast enough as we only order frappucinos. Our drinks were A-ok, tbh..nothing to complain. Reps were polite and approachable when we had questions about the menu. Commendable overall but I thought they could still improve.
Did I like it?
Yes. It’s a restaurant specializing in dessert, of course I liked it! Everything we ordered was superb and it really satisfied my sweet tooth. :))
Is it affordable?
It’s a bit pricey. The toasted bread with gelato that we ordered is already 185php. Although the serving size is for 2 it’s already steep for a toast.
Would I come back?
Yes. They offer delicious desserts and it would really be a nice hangout place.
:)
Chiara's is a dessert shop at Venice Grand Canal Mall. They serve Italian desserts from cakes to gelatos to affogatos.
By far, we have tried Mango Almond Cake (115 PHP / slice), Strawberry Cheesecake Ganache (125 PHP / slice) and Panna Cotta (98 PHP). All of them tasted good--not too sweet and perfect pair with coffee (they serve Lavazza coffee, price ranges from 100-200PHP). I'm now tossed between Chiara's and Amici's Caramia on which cake tastes better. Chiara's is surely a great addition to the growing dessert options at McKinley Hill.
Room for improvement: Indoor seats are very few. It also looks congested inside. When the door opens, it almost hits a table. Probably there's a need to re-organize the dining place and put some display to create an illusion of space.
Outdoor seats are available. It provides a nice view of the man-made canal though the area tends to get crowded especially in the afternoon.
