Best ramen place in the south. I've been to many Japanese restaurants that serve ramen and theirs is the best. Nothing beats that authentic Japanese ramen which has that minimalist philosophy when it comes to food without sacrificing quality and taste. 😀

One of my favorite ramen places. Their soup just hits the spot and this is what makes them different from other ramen places making their soup as creamy as they can. Theirs is just yummy as it is❤️

Our go-to ramen place and genuinely one of the best in terms of taste and value for money. I personally love the shoyu and tantanmen (black or red - both are equally delicious) ramen and always get a side of gyoza.

My friend was the one who brought me here about 2 years ago. At first it just tasted okay for me but after coming again and again their ramen is actually really really good. I've been here many times already and my order is always Tantanmen ramen ❤️

I used to visit often as I had a ramen phase for a while. It's like the small ramen shops in Japan with limited seating which adds to its charm. They have good ramen, gyoza and yakitori but that's about everything on the menu, in case you were looking for more.

Friendly staff and you get the authentic Japanese style ramen vibe. I love their Black Tantanmen because it’s a black as my soul (loljk) and super flavorful. This is my go to place if Yushoken has a long line and have good tasting ramen for a cheaper price. I promise you’d get your money’s worth literally if you’re saving. Been eating here way before it got it’s 4.3 Star Rating here in Zomato and i’m proud they have that rating alreadyyy 🤓

By far my go-to ramen place everytime I go home south. It’s really a no frills kind of place. Quiet, humble, authentic and definitely packs a punch when it comes to their flavorful and savory dishes. Prices are highly reasonable and the couple that runs it is the nicest bunch in the world. I looooveeee that it’s one of those places that you can get a decent ramen and meal without going bankrupt and depleting your weekly savings lol. My must try is always their ABURA SOBA (dry ramen) with extra chasu (flavored), BLACK TANTANMEN and CHASU DON! You can not miss this 3 as I feel they can give Yushoken/Mendo a run for their money. This place is closed on Mondays and I think its only a 10 seater place so better go there during lean times as sometimes it can queue up long. Always a pleasure eating here!!!

The underrated ramen store. Most people craze about ramen nagi, yushoken, santouka, kuroda, etc. But for me, it's this. The ambience is great. Made me feel like I was in Japan. Both the owners and the staff are friendly. Hands down best ramen which is their tantanmen. At first when I tried it it was kinda like "meh" but it really grows on you, and now it's my favorite ramen. The only downside is their small service capacity since it's only a small place. Nonetheless, still a 5 for me. P.s. All ramens are only 250 pesos!

This hole-in-the-wall ramen bar reminiscent of Japan's ramen joints is one of BF's best kept secrets. Its limited menu just means they're only offering specialty dishes. We keep coming back for their tantanmen and gyoza. Staff led by the husband and wife tandem (the chef is a Japanese man married to a Filipina) are always courteous, friendly, and ready to welcome their diners with a warm smile. Since this place only seats 12, come early or be prepared to wait in line.

This is a no-fuss ramen place. Decent selection of ramen, decent price, decent taste. It’s a typical Japanese ramen bar which can accommodate around 10-12 pax at a time. Don’t mind waiting a few minutes or being seated next to strangers.

Mensakaba Geishu is one different ramen store you will experience. There is an authenticity of the flavor of the ramen I ordered the Tantanmen Red (I really wanted to try the Black but it was out of stock) though as much as the Red I think I'll love it as well and on the sides we ordered the fried gyoza. And compared with other stores with a tiny gyoza. This one has 5 massive gyoza, the ramen has a unique taste compared with all the ramen I have tasted.

With a Japanese style ramen store like you can see on anime or tv, this one has it. It feels like you are somewhat in Japan for a moment. 🇯🇵

Food: 10/10
They serve real, traditional ramen. I have tasted tons of ramen, but nothing beats the taste that they have here. Everything off their menu, I would recommend. The service tea always calms down my tummy before I leave happily.

Service: 10/10

Cleanliness: 10/10

This place is amazing. A secluded hidden jewel in Aguirre Ave., they serve authentic, delicious ramen that won't disappoint you and it comes at a quite affordable price. They serve Japanese drinks for the full experience but also service canned juices, fizzy drinks, etc. The ramen isn't the only good thing, they also have tasty gyoza, yummy rice bowls and the chashu pork is extremely tender. Over all a place that won't break the bank but fill you up in the process.

I had my first Ramen Ever in this restaurant with my best friend 2 years ago and I was very pleased! I forgot the name of my order but i think it was on the secret menu or something that i have to show a picture. Haha. The meat is very juicy and it melts in your mouth. A month ago, i brought my boyfriend here for him to try the ramen. Unfortunately my first order was already phased out so we tried other ramen and still it tasted really really good! He just tried the ramen from Japan and for him it was very close when it comes to taste. We tried chasumen, tatanmen and also they have 1 rice dish called chasudon which is in fact very very good!! The staff are very accomodating and once you enter the restaurant, it feels that you have been transported to Japan. The cook is in fact Japanese and very attentive when it comes to the orders. The price is suprisingly cheaper than any japanese restaurants and it is worth every cent. You can add extra meat if you are a meat lover and like I said the meat literally melts in your mouth. The resto can accomodate not more than 20 seats so be ready to wait for a while. They will serve you a small hand towel to clean your hands while you wait for your order, it might take a while but that's ok considering you will experience authentic Ramen. 😊😊😊👍👍👍

We have been going to Mensakaba eversince they opened. I've gotten to know the owners well and saw their humble beginnings to the BF ramen heavyweight they are now. They deserve it.

Entering the one bar shop will make you think you've been transported to a yokocho ramen shop. The owners, a Filipina and a Japanese couple man the shop, with Mr Hotta cooking the ramen for you to add to the authentic feel.

This is not a place though, for people looking for tonkotsu based broth. This is honest to goodness traditional ramen, and they do it well.

First time to visit Mensakaba Geishu thru a friend. And it never disappoint us, their ramen is honestly 100% toooooooo gooood, very generous when it comes to servings and its taste is perfect as I expect it to be.

I like their set up, it's like from a typical japanese ramen house, though it is small. They offer cold towelette to use for hands and or face that smell casino alcohol, so before you start eating your well cooked hot ramen you are well freshened.

What's amazing about this ramen house is their japanese "cook" and happens to be the owner also. He is very hands on on cooking / preparing ramens for customers. Plus, I like how they cook, they were silent and not pressured in the kitchen. Surprisingly, the kitchen is clean, which i like the most. Crew are polite and attentive to customers needs. They also greet you in Japanese. They even offer free "cold japanese tea" right before you even asked for water.

Price? 100% affordable, and no service charge. Why need to go to other expensive ramen house if you can find this one. Just saying.

Overall, 5 stars for this resto. Definitely a must try ramen house in South. ❤

I could not say anything bad about this hole in the wall japanese restaurant. It is really authentic. We tried the shoyu ramen and the tantanmen(red) both were excellent. I like my ramen spicy, the tantanmen did not live up to my level of spiciness however I would still highly recommend it. The gyoza was amazing as well. Not fully packed with stuffing but still delicious. When you're there you would definitely feel like your in japan.

Great Ramen experience! Went here with my wife we ordered Tantanmen and Chashumen and a serving of Gyoza. Taste is quite good, but if you've been into some top Ramen place such as Nagi, Yushoken, Mendokoro etc. Dont expect too much that it would be that same level of taste. Nevertheless we had a good food experience here and the price is quite affordable, the crew were accomodating and greet you with a smile upon entry with some japanase greeting (up to now i cant even pronounce haha)

This is a must try Ramen experience in BF Homes!

This next entry I'm doing isn't exactly a restaurant I've frequented since I was kid. In fact, it was only around 2 years ago that I discovered this place because of my dad and brother. Buuuut since I've been going here since then, so it still fits the criteria.

CONCEPT

Located in BF Homes' Phase 3, Mensakaba Geishu roughly translates to "Noodle Bar & Sake" in English. It's simple aim is to bring the authentic experience of being in a Japanese eatery.

ENVIRONMENT

I've tackled a popular ramen place before, so be warned. Mensakaba Geishu is the complete opposite of what other noodle bars look like. An "authentic Japanese eating experience" is one of very cramped space, severely limited seating, and a tiny setting. Much of Japan doesn't have that much real estate owing to the meager island size, so Mensakaba is tinier compared to most.

What I'm trying to say it has a "hole-in-the-wall" look. When you step inside from the bar's stony entrance facade and orange banners, the fair lighting shines on the very narrow floor leading to the bathroom. Adjacent to that is the ramen bar and kitchen that takes up half of the space (total area is approximately 20 sqm). Customers sit on high stools over the bar (maximum capacity is 12). Various Japanese trinkets adorn the walls and countertops. The kitchen is busy, the TV murmurs in the background, the customers noisily eat away and carry conversation.

It may be a far cry from what the dining norm is here in the Philippines, but that's what endears me to this place: what you see is what you get. If you are looking for a place as severely bona fide to Japanese culture, this is it.

SERVICE & CLEANLINESS

The moment you enter the entire staff greet you with "Irasshaimase (Nihongo for 'Welcome to the store')!" If there's no space yet in the bar, you are politely asked to wait outside for customers to finish their meals. If there are available seats, one can make their way to their spots. At first you are given complimentary alcohol-scented towelettes to freshen up. Once settled, you are given a menu to order.

Instead of being dressed in the traditional kimono, the friendly servers and head chef (who is also the owner) wear a t-shirt with the bar's logo. They also have modern trousers such as jeans or leggings.

Despite its small size and dim lighting, I was pleasantly surprised to see the restaurant so tidy. Eating utensils are properly organized and set in nearly identical spots from one another. In the kitchen, bowls are stacked according to their kind and cooking materials are immediately cleaned. Despite it getting fully packed and the number of ingredients involved, orders are taken and served promptly. This is probably due to the owner being Japanese (who are known to be very conscientious and efficient). Even their bathroom is clean and odorless! Nani?

FOOD

As with their approach, Mensakaba Geishu's menu is fairly simple. You can choose from ramen, additional toppings, rice, gyoza, yakitori, and drinks. Being a bit conservative with my food, I always go for the classic shoyu ramen (Php 250). It's noodles in shoyu sauce broth mixed with bean sprouts, menma (bamboo shoots), ramen egg, and chashu (braised pork).  It's super delicious! The flavors all blend well together and the textures are savory. What else can I say but sugoi ne!

Most of the time we order gyoza (Php 140). The side dish has 6 servings of fried dumplings and shoyu sauce dip which you can partner with rice or have as an add-on with your ramen. Personally I just go for the ramen alone, but to each their own.

Mensakaba Geishu also serves complimentary Asian tea (hot or iced). When my cousins from the US were here, we had a bottle of sake (rice wine; Php 300/350). It was as if we were in a Kyoto district enjoying a hot evening meal. It didn't help that it was summer (we sweat as the night went on), but we didn't mind. The food was fantastic.

OVERALL

Are there are other better-looking, widely-spaced Japanese restaurants out in the metro? Definitely! But it's hole-in-the-walls like Mensakaba Geishu that prove if the food is genuine, build and people will come.

It may not look like much, but this is - perhaps -  the closest Land Of The Rising Sun experience you'll ever get.

We got the Black Tantanmen Ramen. Surprising! It was very light, but savory with just the right kick of pepper. I usually dont finish all the broth of ramen, but this I ate the entire thing.

The place was very simple and straightforward, run by a Japanese chef together with his wife.
Opens at 4PM. We were there by 4:30, and already the place was filled.

For the very reasonable price, it's quite excellent. Will be back!

In the BF Aguirre area, there are really just two places for ramen this is the better choice. This restaurant is a 10 seater hole-in-the-wall resto that serves authentic ramen made by a Japanese and Filipino husband and wife team. We recommend their chasu ramen and their gyoza. The broth is light yet flavorful, and their gyoza is perfectly charred underneath and steamed on the top. No-frills good food, and good service.

This place became our go to ramen place. Prepare to fall in love with the most delicious ramen ever. This is beyond compare from the over rated ramen houses in Makati and Alabang. If you're looking for authentic ramen, Mensakaba got you.

My favorite, tantanmen, is so tasty and the noodles is cooked perfectly. If you love spicy food like me, you can either add more chili oil or ask them to add level of spiciness to the soup. While I prefer the red tantanmen to black (black sesame), I find the black is less spicier than the red.

Shio ramen is so savory and won't let you down. The goodness of flavors in your mouth.

The gyoza is really good and they serve different sake to match your ramen.

The place is really nice and cozy, feels like you're in Japan. Come early and avoid long lines, this place can occupy at least 10 persons and serves until they still have noodles.

The food itself may not be as good as higher-end ramen shops like Hakata Ikkousha, but the entire place—from the bar to the service to the food—is 750 times better than any other store I've visited. Super cozy, the staff are very nice, the food is good (and a lot!). For its price (and its ambeince), it most certainly earns its place in my favorite places to visit.

Unpretentious and straightforward Japanese Ramen Bar that has always eluded me.

Finally got to try it one weekday lunch..the place was packed so I had to wait a few minutes. You sit. Order. Eat.Pay. Leave. Its not a place you wanna dilly dally in because you go here for the ramen (and their other offerings) and the welcoming service.

The owners are a couple (Japanese Ramen chef and his wife and two other helpers). You sit right by the counter where everything is made fresh to order.

Being a novice, I was recommended the Tantanmen or the Shoyu (mind you im a miso ramen guy but anyway..) I had the Chashu Men (Shoyu with 7 slices of pork) and Gyoza. Cold Towel was served and cold tea.

The Chashu Men had a clear soy based broth which was tasty, not as heavy as the other creamy broth I got so used to. It had a homey taste to it. The hot broth paired with the chewy noodles which had the right texture to it, and I was in the right place. The pork slices were soft and tender as it should be. The tamago was soft boiled as it is.

The Gyoza had a crisp skin on one side and still soft on the other, the filling was moist and tasty.

Hands down, this one hit the spot really well😉 The staff was friendly and attentive too!

Both tantanmens had same level of spice. Which is a bit mild even for me. And I despise spicy food. Black has a nice sesame nutty flavor in it and the red one is creamier. Noodles are springy. Ajitama was soft boiled.

Really plump gyoza! So much filling. Perfectly fried on one side.

The place is unpretentious. So warm it makes you feel like you're eating a home cooked meal, done by your Japanese grandparents. Let's say your grandparents are Japanese.

One of the affordable ramens in south. Good value for money.

Been here a couple of times. The first time we ate here, was dinner so there was a really long line.
I think only 10-12 costumers can sit and dine inside because the place is small. Also, you will have to sit on the bar. Japanese style indeed, even the head chef is japanese. Cheaper prices compared to other ramen shops. The picture below is chasumen, (only 270php) it has 7 slices of pork or chasu in it. I got so full at the end! It is yummy but the broth isn't hot enough. Tho the overall experience is quite nice, i know it can do better.

Definitely one of those gems in BF Parañaque! Attentive and friendly staff. Really good ramen.

This Japanese ramen house (dunno if it's appropriate to call it this) looks a lot like what traditional Japanese ramen place in Japan look like. It's a skinny place, seating only maybe 12 customers at a time. Each seat is directly in front of the kitchen so you can actually see the chef (who is actually Japanese, as far as I can tell) prepping your ramen as you order it.

When my mom and I got there one rainy night, we decided to just have our ramen to-go since the place was a bit packed for the night. We ordered a bowl of tantanmen and gyoza. We were charged extra for the to-go containers.

The verdict on the ramen: delicious! The noodles were firm, and the soup had that nice umami flavor. I was a bit thrown off though with the ground pork (or was it beef) that came with it. Somehow it resembled like spaghetti, but all else, it was awesome. As for the spiciness, it wasn't spicy at all! Well, there was a little tingling of the tounge, but nothing compared to the spice that a siling labuyo would bring.

YOU MUST GET GYOZA. Really. Each order comes with 6 plump pieces of perfectly cooked gyoza--fried on the bottom and perfectly steamed on top. And when I say these things are plump, I really do mean that they're plump. As in each piece is stuffed with pork filling! I actually got full after eating only three pieces!

Value for money is great. Visited this hidden gem in paranaque with a good friend of mine who knew about this place. Its somehow beside a korean mart. The place is always full and has that vibe of japanese small hole on the wall late night diner. Gyoza was superb.

Ramen. . I was expecting a richer kind of broth but it was good enough. The broth though wasnt that hot when it was served to me. I kind of expected my ramen to be as hot as possible so that slurping can be a more enjoyable moment.

We also ordered their yakitori mushroom and bacon good as well its a new taste but for me a perfect combi. Must try too is their gyoza soo good. Their Ramen are more flavourful than most ramen I've tried. Even against the popular ones. Their staff are so friendly. The price is just right. I usually order shoyu or chashu ramen then put lots of chilli oil and chilli powder, instead of tantanmen. But for those who love the red broth, tantanmen's for you.

From their service to their food, they just offer the best! Highly recommended to those who were planning to eat at BF!

We went here on a sunday and we lined up for about 30 minutes. We don't have a problem lining up because I think it is worth the wait.

They had this jolly waitress who took our order. She was welcoming and suggested that we try their black tantanmen. She told us that it was their special menu. They changed their special menu because a lot of customers were ordering black tantanmen. I forgot what was the name of their new special menu but she said it has ribs. Probably we'll try that soon.

I loved every bit of my ramen. The broth was rich with flavor and the noodles has a nice texture. It looks appetizing. Their gyoza was yummy as well. I can't say enough on how good our time was spent in this resto. It really is a hole in the wall.

if you're not a fan of spicy ramen, you can try the Shoyu Ramen. their version is quiet different compared to the shoyus i've tried before but the broth is very tasty. For the adventurous, try the Tantanmen.

Their gyoza is one of the best i've eatting here in the south. Or maybe one of the best in the metro.

The place can only seat 10 to 13 people at a time. But their serving time is quite fast. expect your food to arrive less than 10 minutes.

this is also a good place for solo diners.

A nice small ramen joint along Aguirre Ave in BF. The place has an authentic Japanese feel by having seats by the kitchen. The chef/owner himself is Japanese to put the icing on the cake! The ramen here costs 250 and I would say is worth it. I tried the shio ramen and also the shoyu ramen and it was delicious.

A problem would be the number of seats available since they can only cater to a few at a time. Another would be the parking.

I will definitely come back

Traditional Ramen stalls or Yatais often offer better ramen than published restaurants in Japan.  That's how I felt after visiting this place.  The restaurant is quite small and tight,  only offering probably 10 seats on bar stools facing the kitchen.  It's also hard to spot since it's positioned in a corner of Southland Apartelle. But if you chanced upon it, you wont regret it.  You can really taste the homey ramen broth that was personally crafted and perfected by the Japanese owner/chef.  The price is very affordable and the staff are friendly who engages you with some small talk.  There are only a few restaurants that can cook Gyoza well, and surprisingly this one is one of them aside from Shinjuku IMHO.

If you live around the area, this is a must visit.  If you're a ramen enthusiast, this is a must try.  If you're looking for a place to eat and happen to be in Aguirre, try this one out.  You won't be disappointed.

Been here several times and loved that the place feels like a legit Japanese restaurant. Not the fancy type but the homey, comfort food type of restaurant. Everyone there is happy and smiling and sometimes perky even just before closing time. Lines could get long so be there a little bot early or late...you know what I mean. Parking could be quite a challenge too. Now off to the food.
Shoyu Ramen - this is legit! Depending on where you're seated, you can sometimes see how your food is prepared. A Japanese head chef prepares each ramen bowl with gentleness and care and passion and love. The bow contains a hefty amount of chasu so i don't advice getting extra for your ramen unless you're really heavy on the protein. The noodles are cooked to perfection. The broth is really tasty and makes you feel earm and fuzzy. It also comes with an egg and mushrooms.
Chasu Rice - this is the bomb! Everyone should try this! They cook their chasu in some sweet brown sauce and top it on rice. I love ordering this with extra egg. Love love love. Every bite is love!
BTW, they sometimes have this funny but entertaining show going on in TV. It's about a (thin) Japanese man who goes to restaurants and eats. It's not like a show that reviews restaurants like in TLC. It's more like a sitcom/drama of sorts. Love watching that show while eating here. Lol.

Best ramen and gyoza for me. The price is affordable. If you go to their place just to taste their ramen, worth it. The owners are very accommodating down to their staff.

Oh my gosh! I don't even know how to begin describing Mensakaba Geishu. I have been eating here since my law school days. At first, I ordered their shoyu and I was bit disappointed. But then I learned that their bestseller is their Tantanmen. I tried it and I have been hooked! I heard they have a secret dish, the black tantanmen. Haven't tried it yet but will order it next time. Go here. Its worth looking at inside BF homes.

Very flavorful broth and noodles, and it's not even oily! The pork was so soft it almost melts in your mouth. Big serving and really affordable! Plus the owners and staff were really nice and attentive. Been here twice and will surely visit again and again for my ramen cravings!

A hole in the wall in BF Homes. Literally lined up because seating capacity is just about 11 or 12. One thing you must know about Japanese people is that they don't make "tambay" after eating so I guess that's the concept of this resto. You eat then go. Love this place and I love their food. It's taste is at par with other known ramen houses in the metro but the thing that sets it apart is that the taste of their noodles is different. I know not everyone may agree with this, but their noodles (for me) tastes better than most known ramen houses.

No place like "mensakaba"!

My wife & I & the friends we invited really love the place. In fact they've developed a craving every time they would pass by Parañaque. .

The place and people has a synergy of Filipino service and Japanese Food! The owner makes its customer feel important, not only to me but to the other customers that goes in and out .

Love the gyoza and rice! Ramen is great, as well. Love the fact that they show NHK or Solitary Gourmet on their TV. I love it! The moment you sit down, they give you a wet towel for you to wipe your hands with. They also have a number of drinks for you to choose from. I really recommend this small but nice restaurant.

Edit: Just walked to this place to get some dinner but to my dismay, there wasn't any place for me to sit so I had no choice but to leave empty-handed with any Japanese food. It's a real bummer. I hope this place expands and makes more space for more customers.

Food: their broth is -light, (not the Hakata-milky-style eg the ones full of collagen from the likes of Nagi and Santouka) but still very flavorful. Ramen was great overall (ordered chashumen; chashu was ugh so good) though would've been better if they had those dark brown fungus and the egg was softer. Also ordered gyoza and it was really great too! Flavorful pork without the weird tangy/sour taste other gyozas have and flavor doesn't need to be cut or mellowed down by ginger. Friend and I ordered ume chu-hi (a bit hard to find in Japanese restaurants!) and sake on the side. Good experience and happy tongues and tummies from Mensakaba Geishu translated to a very good evening all-throughout. Will definitely come back! (Did I mention it's cheap?)
Thank you, people at MG! Appreciate all your work! 😊

YUMMY and affordable ramen. ❤️ I always get their chashu men. Staff and owners are very friendly, too! They don't do takeouts unless you have your own container (which I've done before), and the space is small so you better brace yourself for waiting in line if you get there during peak dinner hours.

Typical Japanese ramen house. Japanese cook living in the Philippines for more than 20 years.
The ramen broth is so thick that it sticks to your palate. Make sure that you indicate what type of noodles you want or else it would ruin the ramen experience for you.
Try out their gyoza & yakitori selection. Pair out your dining experience with Asahi beer.
Ambience is cozy.
Easy to get the attention of staff since everyone is seated at the bar.

After a short evening motorcycle ride around the city, my brother took me here. He says it's great for post-workout binge eating. The moment you step into the joint, you immediately feel as if you're in Japan. Probably because of the Japanese TV program, the Japanese jazz music playing the background, and the Japanese chef, running the show. My brother ordered the Shio Ramen with extra pork slices, while I had the spicy Tantanmen. The noodles-were-firm-and-not-too-soggy. The egg helps for the hearty taste, and the spiciness was just right. The ramen was presented well.

I'd say that this is a great place to relax and wind down after a long hard day. Great ramen, great service and the atmosphere are some of the interesting points that would make you come back for more. I know I'm definitely coming back.

RAMEN WARS REVIEW: Satisfying Budget Ramen

After having some afternoon coffee with two of my friends in the BF homes area, we ended up agreeing to have dinner in Mensakaba Geishu. The plan made me ecstatic due to the fact that it has been a while since I had gotten to review a new ramen restaurant - and this one had been on my list for a very long time.

Design-wise, it is literally a hole-in-the-wall type of joint, which adds to its charm. The place can only seat around 10 people at a time, leaving just enough personal elbow room between diners. The ventilation is great despite the kitchen being literally across the counter.

Service-wise, they have a mid-day break and open at 5pm for dinner. We placed our orders and got our food roughly around 10 minutes later. The chef and staff members prepare the food literally five feet away so it is nice to get to watch their process while waiting. Everything was piping hot and smelled delicious.

Food-wise, we were told their best sellers were the Shoyu (P250) and Tantanmen (P250). Two of us got the former while the other got the latter plus a chicken skewer (P35).

My friend who got their spicy option did not actually eat pork (there happened to be no seafood options available the evening we were there) but our server was very kind and flexible regarding holding off pork from her dish and instead giving an extra slice to me and my other friend.

When our food arrived, I instantly noticed that they served a rather light version of broth. At first sip it was packed with a subtle flavor that got better with every spoonful. The noodles were superb, being my favorite kind of firm but al dente with a little bit of a curl. The chashu slices were thin but tasty and tender. The aji tamago was plain and not as soft-boiled as I would have liked but were acceptable. The simple addition of crunchy beansprouts and a sprinkle of chopped chives really tied everything together in terms of texture and taste. Despite being more of a thick broth kind of girl, I really enjoyed eating this particular version of Shoyu - and for the price, it is a steal!

Over-all, I am giving this establishment a 4.0 from end to end. It is a great little hidden gem for ramen lovers in the South and I am definitely looking forward to coming back in the future.

My 2nd go-to place for ramen and gyoza in the South (next to Yushoken). The broth of their ramen is not rich but still tastes really good. The prices are very affordable -- 1k worth of food was enough to fill up three hungry people for lunch! The place is small though with limited seats (less than 10) so best to come early for lunch or dinner.

Love their Ramen!!! 👅 250 pesos for a bowl of authentic ramen with complimentary drinks. Me and my friend divided it into two coz we're still full at that time. Ordered Chicken yakitori also. Too bad, Gyoza is out of stock! Place is too small. They only have few seats so better to come early!

It tasted authentic, we ordered Shoyu and Tantanmen and wow that's what I'm talking about it's so delicious the noodles were firm, the soup was magic it's not too salty. We are about that Yakitori life but we were so full we literally tried to finish it, just to not waste any food because it was too precious and yummy.

What a great find!

Upon entering the resto, it's like you're taken to Japan with the design and layout. Add the Japanese chef then the only thing missing is Japan's cold weather.

The food is amazing. The taste is just right - not too salty unlike other ramen places. The gyoza was good too with just the rigjt spices and seasoning. The tantanmem was spicy but just the right level. And the soft boiled egg on top is like the icing on the cake! Shoyu ramen was good too and the broth was rich and tasty. You'll know that they didn't use artifical seasoning and flavoring.

Staff are friendly and attentive too. Overall, the dining experience was great! Hope they make the place a bit bigger though as it's hard to walk with the chairs and counter so close to the walls.

This is what we love in BF Homes Paranaque, you  have all these amazing restaurants in one strip at very  reasonable prices. Tried the Tantanmen and  Chashumen ramen and we were pretty  much  satisfied because the quality of the soup is  same as the expensive Japanese Ramen House we tried at Molito.  I had a repeat order of the Gyoza because truthfully  it was so good it was worth sharing. The only  downside is the place is very small, every time we attempted to try, it was always full. My gang doesn't  like to wait that long when they are hungry.

Wow. That was the best Japanese food I had next to Yabu. The place is so small, literally, so make sure you come here early to avoid waiting. We had gyoza (6pcs in one order), chashu-don, yakitori sasami (4 sticks in one order), tantamen, yakitori chicken gizzard (4sticks in one order). The gyoza was okay, typical gyoza. Don't get me wrong, it was my personal taste, but I never liked gyoza in general so don't rely my review about their gyoza haha. The ramen was also good. Not super spicy. My personal favorite were the remaining. Their chashu-don is sweet and salty at the same time. It was kinda salty actually but it's okay, the nori adds another taste to it. The pork was tender. Their chicken gizzard was actually kinda hard to eat. It was my first time to try that so maybe that's the real texture of it. But with bacon on it? Just wow. Their chicken breast is also my fave! Their meat were all well-cooked and their sauce is good. The kitchen is just right in front of you so you will really see how your food is prepared. The next thing I like about this place despite the location's size is their value for food. We only spent P1,130 all in all. We even had plain rice and ordered 2 chashu-don. And the serving was just right! Lastly, the staff were so nice! And the owners were there, I think. I AM DEFINITELY COMING BACK!!!

Didnt give it a perfect score because their food can still be improved in terms of salt content (sorry i was so particular with that haha)

Will always go back to this 12-seater authentic ramen place. The place may be small and the smell has the possibility to cling onto your clothes but it's worth it, lol. Japanese news will be your source of entertainment as you enjoy your food. What I like the most with the restaurant set-up is that your food is prepared in front of you which gives you the assurance that it is clean.

My friends and I ordered their Shoyu Ramen, Tantanmen & Miso Ramen and they all turned out great. We were so full that we weren't able to finish the Gyoza.

The gyuza is just a so so, not really a fan of gyuza. Haha. Anyway, if you like Japanese food and wants some authentic taste, this place is perfect for you.
