Our go to place whenever we want simple, good food. Always a hit with the family. Their #batchoy is one of the best in the metro. It is always served piping hot. The chicken is huge, the atay is still juicy, the garlic rice has a generous topping of fried garlic bits and chicken oil. The staff are always polite and accomodating. Definitely a must try branch (this is actually the pioneer branch) in the metro.
JTs is our go-to place when we have a big appetite for rice and inihaw. Always a great experience.
This place does not have airconditioning so heads up lang. The food is ok for the price. Sometimes there's a waiting line though. Personally like mang inasal more but i guess this is more authentic?

This is my favorite chicken inasal place. I always get their paa - good flavor and grilled well. I used to like their adobong kangkong but noticed that it's different now. Sometimes I get their kansi broth which is good for 4 people.
Disclaimer : I am reviewing this place as a drinking place. The five stars is for the flawless below zero san mig light they serve till I'm hammered. Every single one at no extra cost. It's the only way thay serve it. Goes well with all their barbecues.
One of the best inasal that i have been in. Food was great and the liempo is also a must try aside from the chicken itself. Service is not bad but not great, but overall this restaurant is a goto restaurant for me.

When i read an online article about JT's Manukan. I decided to personally search for it and check what the buzz is about.
At first the place looks like your typical run of the mill inasal place. The difference in the look and vibe of the place is JT's movie posters and that distinct welcoming vibe.
Upon ordering and receiving my order, i was surprised with the taste. It was nothing like other inasal place. The inasal isn't dry, it was tasty and juicy. And the sauces really compliment the chicken. It set the bar high for me when it comes to chicken inasal.
Price wise, well you get what you pay for. Its not cheap, but not that expensive.
Final thoughts, well i definitely come back for more. :)
BEST INASAL IN TOWN YO!! Pair your pecho with garlic rice!!! AS YOU SLURP CALDO SOUP!! TRUST ME ON THIS! Tried their branch in Valencia, which is along the road. Bothered by all the cars passing by, but twas okay. Good food makes all the worries go away
The chicken inasal is the undisputed star of the show at JT's Manukan. I always order the paa (leg quarter) with garlic rice but also ask for a plate (or two!) of the sizzling pork sisig with egg. It's pig face chopped up, marinated in vinegar and cooked till crisp. Served with a gooey egg on top, I add a few dashes of soysauce, calamansi and hot sauce to make the perfect comfort food.
If you're trying to virtuous, I suggest you try the daing na bangus. The adobong kang kong tends to be hit or miss, depending on how heavy handed they are with the soy sauce.
Found along Granada road, it's hard to miss beside Greenhills Town Center. The tables and chairs spill out on to the sidewalk and it's not unusual to find a line of hungry customers waiting for the next available table. If you can't wait, order for take out instead and enjoy it at home!
On some nights, if you're lucky, you can find Joel Torre himself there having a beer with his guests.
One of our favorite go-to places when the "kahit saan" answer pops up from the question "saan tayo kakain?"
JT's serves authentic Chicken Inasal, a native dish of Bacolod. I particularly love the marinade of JT because of it's authenticity. It's not like other inasal places that have placed their own "twists" on their dishes. I don't mind at all that the restaurant is open air and that it's beside a busy street, it actually even adds charm to the place. Overall this is comfort food at a very reasonable price. I can't count how many times I've been here and everything is always consistent, even the servers. And if you're lucky, you might even get to meet the owner, Joel Torre himself when you visit! Just be ready to get in line!

My family and I decided to have a dinner outside and we were brought by our feet to this restaurant. We've ordered their sisig and their best seller pork which is really good. The interior of the restaurant is filled with Joel Torre's work in film and television. It also a good place for drinking. I commend the service of the crew though the place was full.
Size of the pecho isn't bad for the price but I'm surprised that the rice is sold separately or maybe I was just used to Mang Inasal or other manukan place. Service water has a weird taste and they take too long to clear the tables. Tried their version of atchara and didn't like it.
The inasal they serve is AMAZING. It tastes just like the ones in Bacolod -sometimes, even better. This place really reminds me of home. It's a great place :) (I just wish they served Isaw HAHA)
For those who are from Visayas and are somewhat homesick, JT's is the place to go. With their staff being able to converse in Hiligaynon ++ the yummy inasal, this place will be able to fix you up right away :)
We were looking for a cozy drinking place where we can also try new foods. We ended up here in JT's and satisfied by the foods they offer. The drinks served cold and the service is good. The place is just too small and tables & chairs are really close to each other you can literally bump the other customer beside. But overall the experience is great
The best chicken inasal there is! It is fresh from the grill and the staff are also friendly. I also saw Joel Torre a few times since discovering it. One of my favorites is the chicken gizzard which is well-cooked and doesn't smell. The only downside is the lacking of parking space especially if you go to the area during dinner time, around 7pm.
Went to their Grabada branch where we pass by all the time but haven't tried dining here yet so we gave it a shot. Their kansi soup was good!! Too bad they sell it for P30 and doesn't come for free or we woudv'e asked for a few rounds haha.
Spareribs was also good. Their version pf grilled liempo. It was good but still lacked some flavor. For the chicken, for some weird thought, it's not as good as the Timog branch. I don't know, just IMO.
I find if funny that I always -- ALWAYS -- order pork barbecue in Manila's (in my opinion) best inasal restaurant. Fell in love with their barbecue the first time I dined here way back in college and it's all I've been ordering since. Recently moved to Valencia and of course, I dine here with friends every chance I get. JT's is an example that great, delicious feed need not be expensive! Favorite thing about this resto are the posters of Joel Torre's movies everywhere which keeps our minds preoccupied while waiting for the food. The garlic rice is so good! JT's gets pretty jampacked at night and you might have a problem with parking space.
This is THE place to get your Chicken Inasal!
The first branch of the JT's Manukan chain, this place still feels so cool even after all these years. Parking could be a challenge especially for dinner time but you just have to ask the "watch-your-car boy" where would be your options to park.
I still get the petcho (Chicken breast quarter) 'coz it has more meat than the paa (leg quarter). Pair it up with the garlic rice or better yet, if you'll be eating lots of rice, get plain rice paired with extra chicken oil (the chicken oil is good for 3-4 cups of rice).
Try the grilled Pork liempo (spare ribs in the menu). Marinated really well that my mom even ordered 1 for take out.
What makes this branch so cool is the ambience and chill piped-in music that make s you feel you are in the beach. Good thing they're open 'til late, 1:30 am on weeknights.
Again..nothing else pleases the palate as JT does! Inexpensive, delicious and comes in right serving sizes. There is no place else where you'll find the plumpiest and tastiest chicken ass! And guess what, almost a decade ago since I last ate here and nothing has changed. The staff is still very attentive and pleasant.
JT's has been one of our favorite go-to restaurants especially when we are on the closing shift. It's budget friendly, it has an okay service, cheap beers, good food and it's open until 2am.
Actually, everything on their menu is good, especially the inasal. It's very flavorful and juicy. KP always orders the isol, inihaw na bangus and kansi.
There are alot of options to choose from their menu aside from inasal. But keep in mind that they are always jam packed at night.
I am sure that your pocket and stomach will be happy and satisfied with their serving sizes and the quality of food. 👍

JT's Manukan grills the best chicken inasal in metro manila! Sorry other chicken inasal restaurants but I think it will be hard to find anyone who will dispute this fact.
They are open until very late which makes them an excellent place to get a midnight snack like what we did last night after some drinking near the area.
The difficulty with this branch is the lack of parking but if you can't get parking along the street, you can park at a parking lot at the back for a small fee (Php 30).
The dining area is al fresco so eating there at night when it's cooler is best. I also think they are undermanned because it would take them a while to get a menu to you and get your order. We actually just ordered at the cashier as no one was serving us.
10/09/15 went back with wifey for late dinner after hoops for a cause pba game. this time tried the pecho part chicken inasal.
I would give this place a 5 if it were not for the little problems like parking and service.
Best Chicken Inasal by far ive ever tried :) the chicken is very tasty, be sure to order chicken oil with it. The place has been there since I was a kid, and only gave it a shot now that im in college. Best grilled chicken ive ever had :D
If you love eating inasal, then this is the place to go. Order the following:
1. Isol - sarapppppp!!
2. Pecho - so juicy
3. Sisig - just rightly cooked and they have knorr seasoning too hehe
4. Leche flan is also recommended!!
Id go back to this place everytime, if only I can bear the heat.. Hehe
If you love inasal and affordable meals then you should definitely try this place. My go to dish is the pecho and garlic rice. Besides the food, the friendly crew another reason to visit this place is that you might bump into some celebrities. If you are in the area, you should definitely try this place. :)
Never failed to amaze me everytime I eat here. Compared to Mang Inasal, this has a higher price but indeed is way better!

I was once informed that they use Red Horse Beer to marinate their chicken. Not sure if it's just urban legend but their grilled or Chicken Inasal is truly unbeatable! Love the traces of burns with toyomansi as sawsawan and yes their Garlic and Oily God Forgive Me Rice! And if you're stressed, their homey feel is also a percect place for cheap beer drinks! Downside is you inhale all the pollution of the highway!!! Good side? That's the point of outdoor or al fresco drinking,eh?
The Chicken is so good but only this,I can't fing another what I like,And I also go there for dinner ,because the prices is more attractive, This is easy to parking and I can sit outside.But usually is many people at night.
jt manukan is the place to go to if you want to experience authentic chicken inasal. Prices are more than fair, and the taste of their food (chicken inasal is one. Kansi is another) more than makes up for their sometimes slow service.
JT's Manukan's main and original branch where a lot of actors (theater and Film), musicians, artists go to eat, drink and get together.
Owner Joel Torre is very hands on in this branch and welcomes every guests with warm hellos.
