Recipes is comfort pinoy food of the classics. Some of my personal favorites are General's Chicken, Crispy Tilapia, Chicken Sotanghon soup, and their Cafe Metro Rice. All classic pinoy recipes at an affordable price, perfect place to eat with family and friends!
I avoid going back to this place because I am afraid I’ll get sick of it one day and that will make me sad because I truly love the food here.

The food was excellent as usual and the two waiters were accommodating and friendly. They always made sure we didn’t need anything. Great service and great food at reasonable prices!! Highly recommended!
We keep coming back to this place. The prices are reasonable and the food is reliably good--what more can you ask for? Note: Prices had gone up a bit on our last visit. The rice toppings, which used to include a glass of iced tea in the price, now charges an extra P20 if you want the iced tea. Sad development, but understandable in our present economy.
Try the Bangus Steak Tagalog if you're solo and hungry. It's filling and very flavorful. My fallback rice topping is the Boneless Chicken Teriyaki, which has not failed me yet. I also like the Garlic Chicken. For bigger groups and families, just about anything in the menu is a solid choice.
We ordered the General's Chicken and the Boneless BBQ Chicken.
I would definitely go back for the General Chicken. It didn't come with rice, so you have to order extra rice. The sauce they of the General's Chicken was really good! They had eggplant with it too.The Boneless BBQ Chicken though was nothing special, it was nice but not as good as the General Chicken.
The ambiance makes me feel that I'm at home. Clean and relaxed. The waiters were very attentive and nice to talk to.
If you want a place that's close to home cooking, this is the place to go. Afforable and big servings
Always coming back for General’s Chicken and Pork Binagoongan!! Food serving portion is reasonable. Place is a bit cramped but not much of a big deal.
The place is simple but elegant. Their service is great and quick. For the food, it taste so good with a very reasonable price. If your looking for a place to eat something delicious with a low cost, this is it! 😅

I love their General’s Chicken, the breaded thigh fillet and eggplants with sweet and spicy sauce is really good. My fave!
I think we’ve ordered almost all the items on their menu already and were happy with them. Kare Kare was so good, you can eat it without the bagoong but of course it’s best with bagoong.
Crispy Tilapia is good but a bit usual. Gising gising is still good. Dinuguan has small pieces of pork and some fat so it’s also really good.
Love it here, even our vegetarian friend loved their vegetable kare kare.
Service and cleanliness improvements aside, Recipe wonderfully executes their Asian fusion theme. In fact, as our night continued, more and more people sat in the restaurant. Despite it being in an unusual corner of ATC, people clearly flock there because of their well-balanced mix of East Asian cuisine with our own.

Opens at 11 am, we were the first to arrive. The place is small and can get REALLY crowded and noisy once filled with customers. Ordered the Kare Kareng Gulay, Generals Chicken, Pancit Canton - all my favorite in Recipes. Service was fast, food is good to share. Shelled out 1,100pesos for a group of 6.
They have the Gising Gising. The General's Chicken. The Crospy Tilapia. The Cafe Metro Garlic Rice.
That's all you need for a great weekend brunch, conveniently placed in ATC.
The branch is quite smalls and gets full during peak hours. Come in a bit early than everyone else.
Surprisingly their food tastes really good, especially those vietnamese spring rolls. They specializes on filipino food with some mix of asian cuisine. Their food is very affordable without compromising the price and taste. Definitely coming back for more of your dishes
Kare-kare and bagoong rice tastes so good here in recipes! Thinking about it right now makes my stomach growl!! The chicken sotanghon soup is also good. Not a big fan of their generals chicken though.
You simply can't go wrong with Recipes' General's Chicken, Gising-Gising and Crispy Tilapia!!! Sarap!! 😍 And oh, the Sotanghon Noodle Soup and Pancit are both pretty good too! 👍🏼
Recipes by Cafe Metro had been around since 2000. I'm sure I've been to at least one of their many chains of restaurant on some malls by it's a shame why I can't remember an experience. Anyhow, just last month, together with a couple friends based in the South and some newly met foodies, we had lunch at Recipes, which was way tucked in behind other establishments. It's actually located outside the main mall of ATC, Alabang.
One saturday I decided to get myself re-acquainted with the taste of their signature dish : Generals Chicken so I dined in and ordered the dish and after taking a bite I suddenly remembered by I wanted to get re-acquainted with the nostalgic familiar taste. The dish doesnt pretend what its not, its just fried fillet chicken fried eggplant bathed in their sweet sauce. The sauce was good and its perhaps their signature concoction what made it better was how good the chicken was it was fresh and very tasty. Flavor of the chicken didnt get drowned with the sauce and it had that distinct salty chicken flavor which created a good contrast with the sauce. Its not something that will wow you at first bite, its a simple dish that thoroughly satisfies. The service is quite fast and waiters are very attentive.
Whenever I crave for filipino foods, this is one of my choices of restaurants. I love their crispy pork with kangkong while my daughter loves their dinuguan. And honestly, its the same food that we always eat and had been our comfort food.
Recipes is a straight-to-the-point, no-frills restaurant that serves good comfort food. I usually eat here by myself when I'm experiencing an irresistible craving for their General's Chicken. Order this with their Gising-gising, and you're sure to leave the place happy.

If you haven't eaten here yet then you are missing out on good inexpensive filipino food. You have to get the gising gising and match it with the generals chicken. Perhaps the crispy tilapia as well. Nothing lile bonding with family over a great meal.
This place is an old family favorite though I have not been there for quite some time until today. Was happy to see that Rommel my parent's favorite waiter was still there. I was made even happier to see that their prices have not increased much and the serving size of the dishes are still good for sharing. I had to order old favorites like General's chicken, crispy tilapia and spicy squid. I am glad to report all the dishes we still as yummy as I remember them.

I am not hard to please... Food is great and crew is very nice. Their ice cream (which you can't get from the grocery) tastes so awesome and pure.
