Since I was back to this branch, this is the first Hokkaido Ramen Santouka that I have tried so I guess it's a good time to write a review. This branch is tucked outside the new wing of Alabang Town Center that sits along Abe and Chili's.
This is the branch where I first tried the Kara Miso Ramen and Kurobuta Gyoza and since then, these two have become my staple order whenever I visit any of its branch. The broth is rich and spicy as always and the gyoza compliments the ramen so I find these two a good combination.
The ambiance is still the same while the staff are also attentive. Since this is the nearest branch in my home, I will definitely come back here for my faves when craving.
I tried this set meal with the Shio Ramen. Verdict: the combination of rice, salad, tea, dessert was a good complement to each other. The ramen broth was great as well though not as rich as I was expecting but still flavorful and delicious and it has a good portion of meat. Overall a good experience and reasonably priced for the variety in the set.
Me, my dad and my sister loved our first visit so we brought my mom the 3rd time we came back (She works abroad). She only liked it even tho she loves japanese cuisine. We all ordered set meals and others.
My dad and mom: Set B w spicy miso ramen
They shared meals since my mom is weight-conscious.
My sister: Set E w shoyu ramen
Me: Set A w shoyu ramen ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Salmon roe roll: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Gyoza: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
The meals were great! The ramen was ok (I love yushoken so that is what I use as my standard for ramen) The maki was A+ but it was kinda fishy in our last visit. Gyoza was ok.
My sister loved the dessert wc was a mini matcha cupcake with a chocolate inside but they don’t serve it anymore. They changed it into mixed fruits wc was super average. (The reason why I only gave them 4 stars)
Price and service was super duper OK.
Overall: 4/5
It’s my first time to try Hokkaido Ramen Santouka, we ordered their combo meal that included the kare miso ramen with karaage and dessert. The broth was really good I was surprised, the price point was also not bad with the serving size. Will definitely be back again soon.
Whenever our family wants to have our ramen fix, this is our go to place.
Ps. We always have the same exact order.
Awase-Aji ramen
2 Santouka set A with shoyu ramen
Mango juice
Hot green tea
CHEESE TAKOYAKI
Craving for this one rn!!
The interiors of this place is very nice no doubt about it. But i have tasted the best ramen in metro as of now. But I can say this is very good as well and the ambience is a plus.
My first legit #ramen experience happened here at #HokkaidoRamenSantouka #AlabangTownCenter
Perfection! Each food is carefully crafted to give you the best Ramen / #Japanese cuisine experience.
The meals ate perfect for sharing. The staff are attentive to your order and would gladly answer queries and offer recommendation.
Yum! Yum! Yum!
super love this japanese restaurant!! I've been to four branches of Hokkaido ramen santouka and all of them served good food and provided with excellent service. This branch tops the list.
I love the flavorful ramen and the way they serve customers. The ambiance is perfect for dating couples. Price is reasonable for the food's quality. I would recommend this place to my friends 😃
While I've had ramen and know how good it could be, I try to avoid it as much as possible because of how expensive it is. So I felt dread the moment I realized my friends were steering us to the direction of Hokkaido Ramen Santuoka. But hey, majority wins...
Because their Tori Karaage looked enticing and because you can't not eat ramen at a ramen place, I ordered their Santuoka Set Meal C. Their Tori Karaage tastes similar to Yushoken, only Hokkaido Ramen Santuoka's was less juicy/oily. For my choice of ramen, I had Kara-Miso with additional Komi-Tamago. The Kara-Miso had enough spice to give heat but not too much that it overpowered the broth. The Komi-Tamago was slightly overcooked.
At the end of the meal, the dread I felt was replaced with satisfaction. Let's just not talk about the bill.

My family and I went here to have our late dinner after a long Christmas day. We were accommodated accordingly from the start to finish. Actually, we were lucky to have our dinner on their wooden long table. The food was good, with special mention on Tori Kaage that I ate—I was full even without rice, and th mango shake. Service time was late but I understand that they need to adjust for the holidays.
I went here with my hubby and we had the Santouka set meal A that has Ramen, pork cutlet, rice and veggies. It was sulit for us since we really have a small appetite. We shared the set meal and ordered another rice. We came home so busog since the food was really filling. just a bit disappointed with iced tea shake, after a couple of sip you won’t taste the iced tea anymore.
For someone who has a big appetite, their set meal is something you should order. The set I ordered was the one with a small ramen, pork tonkatsu with gohan, two sides and hot tea. Their ramen's an average thing, while I enjoyed their tonkatsu a bit much that I have to order extra gohan. I was just so disappointed with their sushi cos it's so meh. Mango shake is delicious cos y'know, that's what mangoes are supposed to taste lol. The only thing different about Hokkaido Ramen Santouka is their iced tea cos it isn't just an ordinary iced tea, it's an iced tea shake! To wrap up, it was a bountiful meal we definitely enjoyed!
Ramen was ok. Broth not to thick but was tasty though there’s that slight mushroomy aftertaste that I did not like. Chashu pork was yummy. They have a kid’s set which my little girl really liked with small bowls and kiddie spoon and fork. Restaurant ambience is good but can get full that we had to sit with another group in a bench set up pf seating. Good thing a couple left so we had our own table.
I fell in love with their soft pork buns! It was amazing. and my husband just loved their spicy miso ramen!
I am not much of a ramen girl, I guess thats why I found it just okay, but the pork buns is just.. HEAVEN!!! I can't wait to go back and stuff my face with more!
For a quick ramen craving, you can always go to this place.
Place was not crowded, ambience was good.. though we find their service quite a challenge.. or maybe because it was already late when we dine in.. :)
Price was reasonable, food was good, My craving for ramen was satisfied! :)
Busy place I found in Zomato. We enjoyed our combos ( included Ramen, Salmon, Ebi Tempura, miso soup) which was very filling and tasty. Done in a very nice presentation which makes anything palatable! I'd surely go back to try more.
My week-long craving for ramen just got satisfied! Very good ramen. Looks like we have an alternative to our favorite ramen place in Antipolo. We should try this place when the weather is not so hot and I'm sure the soup would be doubly comforting.
The food was delicious and all but nothing more special, just your usual authentic Japanese ramen. The experience was great, our food was served in less than 5 minutes. The staffs are okay, they'll greet (i can't understand since its Japanese stuff) you upon entry and when you leave. 👌
A bit above average.
Original shio ramen.
Took my dad here and we ordered a regular and a large original shio. By all indications the only difference on the large was more noodles as both of our orders had the same amount of meat, mushroom, and bamboo shoots.
Broth was nice, they had a pickled plum topping that brings out a nice deep flavor.
Pork was a perfect blend of meat and fat, only second to the ramen gods (yushoken & ramenba). They say it's from the back ribs of the pig, and it really is a good piece of meat to use for ramen.
Noodles - just mediocre. They almost reminded me of instant ramen noodles. Nothing special.
Overall the broth was good, the meat and toppings were great, and the noodles were below average. I will eat here again if I'm at ATC. They are pretty good.
Shoyu ramen, Karamiso ramen, charsiu pao, karaage pao, ebi tempura, naruto! Definitely delish! Certified gastronomic worthy experience! Thumbs up! Tasted different ramen from other restau but this one is my favorite!❤️
Place is nice and servers are very attentive. I tried their Set A meal with pork katsudon and Char Siu ramen. Pork cutlet's just fine, I didn't expect much from it since I think they are more known for their ramen. As for the ramen, I like the mildness of the spice and the taste of the ramen's soup. I've had better ramen from other restaurants but I can say this one's still good.
One of my faves in Alabang Town Center. I love everything on their menu especially the Pao, gyoza and ramen (although sometimes it gets super flavorful, you have to modify your own ramen or ask for their advice first, ask ask ask). Huge space, clean, intimate and quiet. That's the perfect ambiance to indulge yourself with their sumptuous food! The staffs are nice, welcoming, and approachable! Totally worth every penny. 😉 limited menu though, but more room to explore everything.

The Santouka Set Menu D is a bang for your buck! This was sort of a sampler for us since we got to taste different dishes in small portions. It's a really good choice for people who can't finish a whole serving of ramen like me.
Its my second time to dine at Hokkaido Ramen. One rainy evening presented the perfect opportunity for a piping bowl of ramen. I ordered the Awase-Aji Ramen a combination of salt, soy sauce and soybean. The broth is good but a little salty for my taste. Im a sucker for miso-based ramen so I found the textures a little shallower than usual, but flavorful nonetheless. Hokkaido Ramen Santouka does a very good job though with their pork cheeks which is consistently soft, and flavorful, and the tamago is cooked almost perfectly--a combination of soft firmness while still a bit runny. I also had the Kurobuta Gyoza, which I found a bit small and a littlw dry than my favorite kind, still flavorful though. The staff is friendly and attentive, and proactive as well. This particular visit though I though the aircon was a little warmer than average but the branch is really clean, spacious and airy-modern.
We've tried their Shoyu Ramen, Shio Ramen, Char Siu Ramen, Char Siu Chahan, Sake Ikura Gohan, Inari Sushi, Char Siu Pao, Aburi Char Siu, and Kurobuta Gyoza. Our family's favorites are their Aburi Char Siu and Char Siu Pao.
Best ramen ever though it's kinda expensive. Good for barkada treats and impressive dates with your special someone! ❤
The service was good that they gave a glass of water while I was choosing my food and letting me have the big table selfishly. I ordered a small ramen and grilled salmon and salmon roe bowl set. I only waited for less than 10minutes. The food was served immediately. I thought the rice bowl was bigger than the ramen but when I saw the set, it was the opposite. I really love the rice bowl of salmon with some toppings of salmon roe! I had also tried different ramen but so far, their famous kara-miso (best seller ramen) is the best! You need to add Php20 if you want it mild spicy and indeed, it was delicious! I also ordered mango pannacota (mango flavored japanese custard with bits of fruits) for dessert since they don't have the strawberry one. I didn't regret taking the dessert which the waiter suggested. I will definitely go back again for another tasteful experience! 🍴🍵🍜
PLACE: the ambiance looks tempting.. the couches are very comfortable
MENU: expensive compared to other ramen restaurant
FOOD: delicious especially of course the ramen, my mom liked the pao.. The caesar salad also good except we dont like the egg in it.
SERVICE: the staff are very accommodating.. the waiter keep on refilling the water once your glasses are empty.. not to mention the waiter is cute and very gentleman.. he even escorted us to the other side with their umbrellas because its raining.
*** if you have enough budget and you want to impress your date.. this place is perfect for dine in.
Started my pork-filled meal with some cold crisp asahi. Few minutes later the toroniku-pao areived. Pork cheeks yo! At first i was disappointed with how it looked but its taste made up for it. Enjoyed every bite of it. For my main, I ordered the special iberico tokusen toroniku ramen on kara-miso (spicy soybean paste flavor). It was good. Not too spicy. Loved the meat. It elevated the dish to another level. But still, I've tasted better. That other ramen place across the street set the bar really high for me. Also ordered some kurobuta gyoza (black pork). It was good as well but nothing mind blowing. I enjoyed my meal though. It was perfect for the rainy season.
This is a solid ramen place in ATC and pricing is on par with other ramen places in the city, but the selection - especially of appetizers and other entrees - is a little more limited here. But then again, we're all here for the ramen anyway.
I got the large Char Siu Ramen in Shio broth. I highly recommend the char shiu, since two slices just isn't enough for me, personally. The broth is decently rich, and the vegetables and mushrooms were cooked to the right tenderness.
The default straight thin noodles had plenty of good chew, and by the end of the meal, I was sloshing around from drinking up all the broth, which is a good thing, haha. They have a lot of other options for noodles and even the broth.
The real stand out here was the pork. It was basically a big seared piece of pig fat. That is of course all in a days work for the kind of pork belly that goes best in ramen. Needless to say, it exploded my palate with savoury deliciousness. Fair warning though, if you are not used to/expecting it, the giant hunk of pig fat might throw you. In any event, if you are in this neighborhood and are in the mood for ramen, this place hits the spot.
Loved the place! The ambiance, the service, and the food! I ordered one of their set meals and i was pleasantly surprised with the serving size. A bit pricey but it's worth it.
One of our favorite ramen places. Love the thick and rich shio soup base taste and the firm noodles. The soup is their secret. Topped with slices of char shiu pork, onion leeks, mushroom and bamboo shoots. Also tried their sister company which occupies the other half of the resto--- Katsu Sora. Tried their delicious and tasty katsudon and curry, very filling and satisfying. Burrrrp!
Really delicious ramen! We were all satisfied by our orders: the salted original ramen, the chicken ramen (I recommend adding the chili oil as it adds and enhances the flavor), salmon and tonkatsu. The salmon and tonkatsu doesn't come with rice.

New Ramen place in Town so I hit it with my family for my mum's birthday. Minimalist and neat interior which I really liked. Staff were helpful.
Santouka Chicken Ramen - it's a ramen with light chicken soup with a hint of fish as opposed to the usual pork-based ones. It tasted quite bland for me.. They only make 20 bowls per day.
Santouka Spicy Miso Soup With The Goodness Of Vegetables - the name speaks for itself. It is tasty, but not as spicy as I imagined it would be.
Salmon Salad - my favorite! The raw salmon in it were just spectacular! The dressing is sort of fattening though, be careful.
Mixed Seafood Furai - a combination of fried salmon and fried prawn. Crispy and tender and tasted yum with the dip that came with it!
Azuki Ice Cream with Red Bean - one of the best Matcha ice cream I've tried! Kind of pricey for a scoop but worth it.
I asked if they have a complimentary dessert for people who are celebrating their birthdays, it's sad that they don't. Pretty steep prices, and I've been to better ramen places..
Went there for lunch with my boss as an incentive from her for a perfect attendance for January. I was feeling under the weather that day and I knew I needed a ramen fix.
The interior is great: spacious, modern and minimalist. Very Jap. Though the music being played is Filipino instrumentals.
I ordered the Santouka Chicken Ramen which they claim that only 20 bowls are served daily. (We asked our courteous server why, and he said it's due to the shelf life of the broth.) it was served hot and helped my tummy feel better. I don't if it was me and my sick taste buds or the broth was a bit bland. I needed to add a few dashes of chili powder for me to appreciate the taste a bit more. But the meat and egg added are A-OK.
My boss and her husband got shio and shoyu: the ones they always order. I loved the gyoza which is moist and a bit crisp.
Personally, it is always a great experience dining jap. Here, we dared their bestseller, the Kara-miso Ramen, which I thought was oceanic and above average. I suppose I had better ramen somewhere else though. Meanwhile, the Tori Karage was succulent and gratifying. The Sake Furai was delectable and could potentially be a favorite.
WC was disheveled and service should have a room for improvement.

It's my first time trying Hokkaido Ramen Santouka and the ramen experience I had was awesome! I ordered Karamiso Ramen ... Its broth is hot and does not disappoint. However they can improve their service as their response to their customer requests are kinda slow given that they have a plenty of crew and it's a Wednesday night so they don't have a lot of customers... Fortunately their Ramen compensates well for their mediocre service :)
The search is finally over! I have never found a ramen place that could equal the quality and flavor of Ramen Yushoken...until I had Hokkaido Ramen's Karamiso ramen. I couldnt get enough of it that I ate a bowl of Karamiso on two consecutive days! My first at their Eastwood branch and the second at their Alabang branch. I have to mention though that the Alabang branch had better and ample staff.
We ordered karamisu and their set meal. It was delicious! I love spicy foods and their karamisu was spicy enough for me. Ramen have that "nakakaumay" factor because of the oily broth but with the karamisu, you wouldn't think of it. I think I have my favorite go-to restaurant when craving Ramen specially on rainy days😋
I only order 1 type of ramen when in Santouka -- their karamiso ramen, either with chasu slices or the one with lots of veggies. You get the former when you order it together with a set meal, as I did here recently. I had the tori karaage and salmon onigiri to go with the smaller-sized ramen serving (being a set meal). It even comes with a glass of very nice iced tea. At P410++, it was an excellent deal. I concur with a previous reviewer that their set meals offer the best value. I would be hard-pressed to disagree that this is my favorite ramen joint, and I've tried all of them in Manila!
I've been going gaga over Japanese food lately and Santouka satisfied my cravings. Shio Ramen's their bestseller for a reason. Regular serving can fill a hungry foodie's stomach halfway through his bowl. Salmon and pork onigiri ain't so bad but I'm still looking for a stickier rice texture. Tonkatsu tastes like any other tonkatsu but meat's almost an inch thick so yeah, still good. Of course, you can't go wrong with edamame for starters and a pot of hot tea to keep your appetite going. Tables could be larger, though but I'll definitely be back soon.
1st time to try this Ramen place and I ordered the signature Ramen which is the Shio Ramen. Really really good! Everything in it is good! Will definitely come back!
This is my first time to dine at this newly-opened branch. I first tried Santouka at Glorietta a couple of months ago and I loved it!
This time, my family and I ordered their signature Shio Ramen, Salmon Salad, Chicken Karaage and Grilled Salmon Fried Rice.
Their Shio Ramen was great, with the soup having just the right salt and pork flavors. The meat was tender and flavorful! And of course I had to add Aji Tamago as no ramen bowl would be complete without it.
The Karaage was also amazing! It came with sweet chili sauce, but I asked for Japanese Mayo on the side and it was a perfect dip for the crispy and juicy boneless chicken!
The Salmon Salad was really delicious, too. The leaves were crisp and fresh, and so was the salmon. The dressing, a combination of japanese mayo and wasabi was perfect! My mom's only comment though was there was too few leaves, and too much dressing.
The Salmon Fried Rice was so-so. I wouldn't really recommend it.
Overall, we had a great experience at this restaurant. There are many more choices on their menu, and I would definitely come back again to try their buns!
First time to try this restaurant and it exceeded my expectations. It is a bit pricey but their set meals are value for money. :) I will go back for more Ramen and buns.
The international ramen brand has reached the Philippines and we welcome it with excitement! Santouka's signature Shio Ramen is absolutely delicious and a must try for ramen fanatics. They also have their spicy best seller the kara-miso which is just as good. The set meals offered are just right for a satisfying meal and with ample choices of side dishes you will have a hard time deciding what to have as all of which are great too. I definitely would recommend Santouka Ramen to those looking for authentic Japanese ramen. 👍👍 - Try the tokusen toroniku too (melt in your mouth tender roasted pork cheeks)
