Must Try: Pulpo Alla Gallega, Paella de MariscoWe loved everything we tried, it's too bad there was only 2 of us dining, otherwise, we would have ordered more! The service was amazing as well, the server was attentive, and quick on their feet. It's too bad that because of the Taal Volcano eruption, it's affected their supply as the commissary is at their Tagaytay branch. All in all we loved the food, and would come back again with more friends to share the paella with! Would love to try the the Ibiza dishes next time too. What We Tried:
Pulpo Alla Gallega - The octopus was seasoned well and tender! Plus the potato underneath was a treat to pair it with.
Champinones con Chorizo y Gambas - Mushrooms with Shrimp and Chorizo, cooked and seasoned well, plus the chorizo was really really good. would love to try the pintxos next time too!
Salpicao (Chef's Version) - Tender pieces of beef with button and oyster mushrooms, loved the combo.
Paella de Marisco - Seafood Paella, the star of our dinner, we loved how there was so much seafood in the paella, they did not skimp on the ingredients
Service and Ambiance: A++
My top three with what we had are: Verdura Y Pollo A La Plancha (Grilled chicken and veggies), El Cocinero Paella, El Cocinero Pizza.
So far the best Paella I ever had. I love how cozy the place is. Would love to go back for more and to share the word to my friends about El Cocinero.
Had dinner here with one rainy Saturday night. We ordered the el cocinero paella, the tomato soup and callos. The callos was so so...had better ones...the tomato soup was excellent, very tasty though the serving was a bit small. But the star really was the el cocinero paella. One of the best ive tasted, d ingredients were fresh, the rice was excellent...
I've been here once and will definitely come back. We had veggie pizza, paella, chorizo, etc. and every food was just soooo good. What's more surprising was the price...very reasonable, not costly at all. The staff was all nice as well. One of my faves now.

I found this resto here in Zomato, went there for lunch with my office colleagues and we thought it was the best discovery in Zomato! We had a few tapas for starter, pizza and paella and everything was soooo good! Excellent food! And there’s more...prices were reasonable, not expensive at all. Will definitely come back to El Cocinero, my new
favorite!👏👏👏
I seldom drink outside. Edit... actually, I don't really drink that regularly. However, when I drink, I try to find places with a relaxed vibe, no super loud music, (just music I can probably hum or sing along to). Yes, the days of rock band stalking are over. The tita days are here. Ok,.. Edit.... the cultured days are here! Yeah!
Discovered El Cocinero through fellow food bloggers and I was lucky enough to try them for their much-awaited Tapas X Pintxos X Cocktails night! Their tagline -- Your taste of Ibiza in the heart of Manila!
It's simple and is quite foolproof. I wonder why bars did't think of doing this even before. All you have to do is pick your poison, that's it! Kidding aside, you just choose your tapas x pintxos from the huge spread of food they have presented at their ground floor, then pair it with your chosen cocktail. Their cocktails feature the rustic aromas of Hierbas Ibicencas. When mixed with cosmopolitan flavors we are all familiar with, this makes awesome cocktails that are uniquely Ibizan. Chef Arnaldo himself has designed his own cocktails for El Cocinero for his guests' enjoyment.
I have tried all of the cocktails featuring Hierbas Ibicencas, the artisan-crafted spirit infused and macerated with herbs from the Balearics. I personally enjoyed the cherry-laced Cozmo Ibiza (cranberry, lime, sugar), and the lemon-infused Oro Oscuro (ginger ale and lemon). The Cozmo Ibiza gave off that syrupy aftertaste, which is not bad at all since I think it does cater more to those who prefer sweeter cocktails, while the Oro Oscuro was light and refreshing. They also have the Mojito Payes (lime sugar and mint), Toni Manzana (sugar, apple and lemon), and Hierbalicious (green tea sugar lime and lemon).
Out of the different tapas in their line-up, I find myself gravitating more towards those with shrimps, cheese and their Ibizan tapioca or cassava. My favorite still would be the Kebab and the Bolitas de Yuka Y Auevo or cassava balls with quail eggs.
From now on, I'd say Friday Night means tapas and cocktails night at El Cocinero, Molito! Your taste of Ibiza in the heart of Manila featuring El Cocinero's Signature Cocktails paired with Ibizan tapas and pintxos.
From mouthwatering pulpo to gambas and all the other kinds of tapas and pintxos, they have them here! Make sure to try their cocktails too and get your taste of Ibiza every Friday night.
Best seafood paella ever!! You would know that all ingredients used are fresh as no one from my family had allergies after our dinner. Their pudding is the best i've tasted so far. Everybody loved it!! We also got good service. Will definitely come back.
This is the first restaurant I've tried in Molito and I must say, they have the BEST paella I've ever tasted! Their El Cocinero Paella is just unbelievably unique.. I can't even explain how good it is! Would love to try out the rest of their paellas!
At their Tapas x Pintxos Night (every Friday night), they serve affordably priced bar chows and cocktails with Hierbas Mari Mayans. Some of their bar chows/tapas are Bolitas de Yuka Y Auevo, Bosque Y Mar Con Quezo, and other hard to pronounce foods, loljk.
I also loooooove their creme bulee and chocolate mousse, btw.
What can I say?! El Concinero will definitely be up there amongst my favorite restaurants now. The food was great and the service was amazing. We ordered the Calamares, Salpicon de Marisco (Seafood Cocktail), Mejillones Gratinados (Baked Mussels), Paella Mixta (Pork, chicken and shrimp paella), along with a bottle of house white wine. We also received 2 rounds of complimentary bread and dips. All of the dishes were delicious. The ingredients in the paella all tasted fresh. Will definitely come back here again. Highly recommended.
4 stars since not all of the food was great. Some are ok. There's a complimentary bread to start with 4 different dip. The olive oil and balmsamic sauce was weird because it was sweet, which i'm expecting it to be sour. Now it taste like coco jam, hehehe.
Order as well ensalada verde, the dressing is vinaigrette with balsamic sauce, and again, it's too sweet, weird for my taste.
Next is bullit de peix, my husband love it but for my taste it's quite bland.
The last is the el cocinero paella, and it's really good. Definitely worth the money. The ingredients are not rationed. Their seafood is fresh, not frozen (i think). I love the squid, it soft and flavorful. It's quite disappointing because they ran out of crab so they just replace it with shrimp.
If we're craving for a paella, will definitely go back here. Btw, their service is exceptional.
If you're looking for good food and a nice place to eat, there's El Cocinero, ready to serve! Indeed their paella is a yum! I found the potato thingy weird though but it's yummy too

If you're looking for authentic Spanish cuisine, then this is the place for you. El Cocinero is a two-floor medium sized reaturant in Molito,Alabang. The interiors are simple and homey. The second floor is perfect for a small gathering or party.
We ordered the Crispy Baby Squid, Salpicao, Pork tenderloin and Paella Negra. They served complimentary toasted bread with 4 different kinds of dips. The crispy squid with garlic aoli had just the right saltiness and crunch. The salpicao had a large serving for its price of P395. This was my favorite because the beef was tender and the mushrooms were assortment of button and wild type. The paella was just enough for 4 people and had generous toppings of seafood. The grilled pork tenderloin was my least favorite. It only had 6-8 thin slices of grilled meat with a large side dish of fries, and it cost P400+.
The service was great, since there were only 2 tables with customers. Our glasses of water were never empty and the servers were very friendly and attentive. The manager even visited our table.
Thrifty advice: book a table with eatigo to avail of 50% off or buy a metrodeal voucher for 40% off.
Located at the vibrant Molito Lifestyle Complex along Madrigal Avenue, Alabang, Muntinlupa City, El Cocinero had humble beginnings that is worth it's spot in MMK and during the exclusive Blogger's Day I was fortunate to hear their story. Chef Arnaldo trained for several years in Ibiza, Spain and came back to Manila to establish a restaurant in Batangas and Tagaytay before demand started calling him to open a restaurant in Alabang, Muntinlupa. El Cocinero has a clear cut focus on Ibizan Cuisine, not just Spanish Cuisine in general. Featuring the freshness of the sea, he goes to the market himself to ensure quality and has a hand on the kitchen preparation.
During the Launch, we sampled some of El Cocinero's best selling dishes, here's a rundown of my favorites:
Cochinillo - whole Roasted Pig, delicately soft meat and crispy skin cooked to perfection.
Arroz de Matanza - Rice cooked with Chicken and Pork with a generous serving of Spanish Chorizo.
Paella Negra - generous Seafood and Rice cooked in Squid Ink.
El Cocinero Pizza - crispy thin crust pizza, topped with fresh greens and a generous amount of aioli sauce for that Garlic creamy taste.
Ensalada Payesa - avocados, Tomatoes, potato, Fish, boiled eggs and Bell peppers. Heavy and filling Salad perfect for sharing. A Great alternative to the usual potato Salad. This is a winning combination of ingredients.
Pulpo ala Gallega - soft Octopus on top of potatoes, with spices and olive oil. A Great conversation dish. The added salt on top gave it's distinct taste.
For drinks, try out Hierbas Ibicencas - an alcohol drink that is refreshing to the taste.
For dessert try the Flao d' Eivissa, a Traditional Cheesecake from Ibiza made from goat's cheese, eggs, peppermint leaves and aniseeds.
It was a pleasant dining experience, so memorable, i bought my family last Sunday to share the love. We tried the Cheese Pizza which was sublime and oh so good. And the Meat Lasagna which is a throw back to the Best Lasagna I've tasted in the 90's. It was cheesy, rich and delicious. Recommended for family gatherings and intimate get together with Friends.
Our family really want to try El Cocinero since our goal is to try new restaurants. So, we decided to celebrate Father's Day at their Molito branch. Since this was our first time to dine there, we really took a lil time to go through the menu and plan our order (that turned out to be a feast hahahaha! 😂)
So, we got El Cocinero Paella, Lasagna de Carne, Pepperoni Pizza, Pollo ala Pancha (Grilled Chicken), Solomillo de Ternera (Beef Tenderloin Steak) & Churros con Chocolate
Lets start with the El Cocinero Paella. I am not a fan of paella but this was very savory up to the last tutong (burnt rice). I just hope that the shrimp was not over cooked. Also, add more rice because I was expecting that the pan was a lil deeper. Nonetheless, this deserves a STANDING OVATION.
Then, the Lasagna de Carne was the BOMB! I love that it was creamy and cheesy. The flavor of this lasagna was amazing. Both cheese and non cheese lovers will certainly like this pasta. What's nice in this dish is that even if it's cheesy, hindi siya nakakasawa. I will certainly recommed this to everyone.
We also got their Pepperoni pizza. I am not a fan of Pepperoni but after tasting this I can say that I already have a favorite pepperoni pizza. It makes me hungry just by looking at the picture because I can still remember how the cheese melted and the taste of the pepperoni that compliments the whole pizza. For me this pizza deserves a SLOW CLAP!
Then, the Pollo ala Plancha was ok with or without the dip. Although, it was a little over cooked for me (maybe by a minute only?) because it was a little dry in the middle. Nonetheless, it was flavorful and you would really taste the grill in it. Thus, this was still an AMAZING dish.
Another meat that we got was the Solomillo de Ternera - I would have to say that this dish was cooked and made PERFECTLY. I am not fond of beef but this made me appreciate every bite I had of it. It was tender & juicy. They should maintain it as medium rare (like what they served us) so that guests would appreciate the taste, flavor and juiciness of the meat.
Lastly, the Churroz con Chocolate - I liked that they served the churroz hot (bagong luto talaga!). But, what I like more in this dessert was the mixture of the chocolate dip. I've tried a lot of churroz with chocolate dip and often times I don't like the dip. It's either too dark or too milky. But, the chocoloate dip that El Concinero prepared was a balance of the dark and milky chocolate. You would still taste the bitterness of the dark chocolate but it was perfectly balanced and tamed by the milk chocolate. So for me this is the BEST dessert to cap off a flavorful meal.
All in all, we had a great meal, good ambiance and experienced a very accommodating and attentive crew here in this resto.
I'd go back for the paella and paella negra though I wish there was more. It's a little misleading coz it seems that the pan is deep but it's not.
The taste makes up for it though.
Do not order the malunggay juice. It's more sugar and coloring.
Order the beef and the paella. You won't go wrong.
The best El Cocinero Paella. Great environment for bonding with Sangria. ❤️
Service was awesome especially the spanish speaking waiter, Chris. Must try also the Salmon Lasanga.
El Cocinero becomes our fave spanish resto. We ordered their famous paella and definitely satisfy our cravings and met our expectation. When you are heading south, this is worth the stopover. And of course don't forget the sangria. Perfect match with pulpo ala gallega- octupos thinly sliced on top of a sliced potato garnished with olive oil salt and paprica. Tastes heavenly!!!!!!
