Great service and place too! will definitely come back
Mesa is great because of their great people who serves as sincerely and dedicated to satisfied us. Thank you Mesa!
I wasn’t able to book a table ahead of time since we were planning to dine at a different restaurant to celebrate our teammate’s birthday. Unfortunately, the other restaurant is closed and under renovation. We arrived around 11:30am and was so relieved to get a table for 8 pax without hassle. Place did not get packed during the lunchtime rush hour which was quite in favor to us.
Initially, we wanted Sinigang na Hipon but was told that they don’t have deliveries of shrimp yet so we changed it to Chicken Binakol instead. Chicken Binakol was good, one of my fave dishes from Mesa.
Their 2-Way Laing was good but serving was very small. Though funny thing was, since everyone was conscious of the small serving, this was the dish that was left in the end for us to finish at the last minute.
We initially planned to order grilled liempo and grilled chicken but was told that a serving is only good for 1-2 pax so we decided to have the Inihaw Platter instead. At P988, it was well worth it. Everyone enjoyed this.
Pork Binagoongan ni Kaka is super good! Love the way they cooked the pork in a crispy way and sautéed it in shrimp paste, super yum. You’ll be forced to eat more rice with this.
Crispy Baby Squid was ok, we loved the dip it came with, we had to request for more since we loved it too much.
Overall, loved the food, loved the service.. we’ll definitely go back.
Pork sisig - very tasty & yummy!!! We had to get two orders of it bc it was just too good 😭
Sigarilyas - haven't tried this veg before so this was my first time and i actually loved it w the coconut milk it was pretty fire
Grilled squid - Tough. As. Heck. Couldn't even cut it w my knife so i just bit it. Good sauce tho, terrible cooking
Shrimp on the rocks - I love the effect of them actually cooking it "on the rocks" in front of us. I didn't capture it w my phone bc i was too focused. Cooked the shrimp very quickly too so 👌🏼
Kang kong - well seasoned and garlicky and the pork was very savory as well
Lechon - this was a 1/2 order and they only had the head part left so they asked if it was okay w us and so we just went w it. The parts they turned into the lechon wraps were very good. Wraps also had a cucumber slice, cilantro, and 3 sauce choices (it was like Hoisin, some sauce like Mang Tomas, & Garlic aioli - from what I derived). They were really delicious!!! The rest of the lechon that they served was very tasty!! I love whatever sauce they cooked it in. Super fatty and flavorful but sooo worth it
Service was pretty slow. Lechon took forever to get to us & to prepare it in front of us too.
✔ Inihaw sampler: pork & seafood: a bit pricey pero masarap & malasa; wish there were more seafoods.
✔ Gising gising: super sarap! Onti servings :(
✔ kare-kare: sarap!
✔ crispy pata: yummy! I like the garlic kasi madami at boneless pata!
❌sinigang na hipon sa bayabas at pinya: Walang asim at super tamis 😖
✔ tinapa roll: yummy! Best for appetizer with a twist!
✔ bagoong rice: yum! more pleeeease!
✔ garlic rice: extra pa po!
✔ laing: sarap sana. Onti serving at sana di masyadong durog/"mashed"
Hoping for a spacious area. Mejo congested on this branch. Overall great service.
I tried this the first time at SM Southmall branch with my in-laws. So I brought my family when they opened in Festival Mall which is nearer to us! I love their baked scallops and salted egg shrimp! We also had their CrispChon which has two ways to be served, one was wraped in pandan molo wrapper and the other is cooked with spices. (It took time though, as the server will wrap the meat in front of you then send back the remaining half to the kitchen to be tossed with garlic, etc) We also had Sinigang-sa-bayabas and It's my first time to try that kind of non-sour sinigang ever! Limited space for families with babies (in pram/stroller) but we were seated in what seems to be a private room, so it was not a problem that time. Great Filipino food, cozy ambience. Quite pricey I should say, considering they are serving Filipino Cuisine = local resources, but worthy for the quality (presentation, taste, portion, execution or the way it's cooked). Recommended for balikbayans or families with foreign friends who wanted to try Filipino Dish!
one of the best and consistent Filipino food chains in the philippines today. despite having 30+ branches, they have stayed strong and consistent with their food quality and service.
Mesa offers our favorite Filipino dishes at an affordable price. We always liked eating here as a family whenever we go to Festival mall. It’s located near the new colorful bridge to Landmark. Usually, you have to fall in line during dinner time but it’s worth the wait. ;)
The food was absolutely delicious but you gotta have a little bit of sense of urgency. Cant wait for an hour for the food. It looks like Mesa doesn’t have enough people to do the service. But the food was great!
Love their food super masarap. World class restaurant to showcase our signature filipino dishes 😋 Hope to try more of their foods next time. Clap clap
Good food. Our orders arrived after 1 hour but we understand since it's a sunday and the place is full. We wanted to order more food but we hesitated since it takes long to arrive. I like the pinaputok na tilapia and my mom loved the laing.
it was my first time at mesa.. the food was great very filipino, you will have a chance to eat filipino food from around the country..
