I forgot the names of the ramen that we ordered but me and my boys are happy with it. My husband ordered the mild spicy one and it’s really good. My little boy enjoyed the original ramen and chasu don. As for me, i love the soft boiled egg. It’s perfectly seasoned. Sa totoo lang sa lahat ng ramen house na nakainan ko sa ikkoryu yung the best na tamago. The broth is not as thick as i expected but it tastes great! Sulit din sya para sa price nya.

Christmas time when we try this store for the first time. It has a very good balance with the broth, the noodles were kinda hard for me though it was labeled normal, I would recommend getting the soft version next time. The meat was very tasty and tender, while the salted egg adds a quite a surprise althroughout.

My first time trying Ikkoryu last Friday and had to read reviews first because we already paid for the Metrodeal voucher hehehe. The reviews I found were not good, I only saw like 2-3 good reviews. So here it is, will have to compare it somehow to Ippudo as I've only been to 2 real ramen restaurants (Ippudo & Ikkoryu).

Place - 4/5
Place is good even though it is small. Lights are a bit darker than Ippudo though.

Staff - 4.5/5
They are polite and I did not feel intimated when I told them we will be using Metrodeal vouchers (Yup I felt we will be judged somehow for using vouchers hehe) . From the reviews I found, only 1 Ikkoryu branch was applauded for having great staffs (forgot the branch).

Service - 3.5/5
They are not that slow but I didn't like having the karaage & potato croquet served first because it got cold already when the ramen came. After serving the ramen, gyoza came a minute later. All food should be warm or still hot when eaten right, buy it was not that baf anyway.

Food - 3/5 overall

Ramen (Ajitama Tonkotsu):
4/5 It was good! I loved it actually but of course Ippudo will get the perfect rating hehe. It was hot, yes it was hot my tongue got hurt hahaha, when served. It didn't get cold easily. Serving was also generous unlike what I found from the reviews. Only flaw would be the Chashu was thin.

Chicken Karaage:
4/5 It was also good, I loved that it was juicy.

Potato Croquette:
2/5 I didn't like it that much. I don't know why.

Gyoza:
2/5 Same here, I didn't like it that much maybe because it got cold when we ate it.

As part of #salvasfoodventures presents #MrRamenSeries, I chose Ikkoryu ATC as the 5th ramen house to explore. I planned to order Ebi Tonkotsu but to my dismay it is discontinued.

The friendly and knowledgable waiter Francis suggested Aburi Chashu Tonkotsu instead. He also suggested the Sea Salt Caramel Ice Cream. These two are perfect match! A perfect balance of fresh thin noodles, smoky and not-so-fatty broth, sweet lean chashu ala holiday ham but smoky version plus the creamy saltiness of the ice cream. He also offered their complimentary tea. At first sip I know it's non-caffeinated. When I sniffed the tea, it has woody earthy aroma. Another staff Jayson offered to refill my tea. I asked what it is, he said it's Roasted Barley. Oh yeah, the smell resembles my Lolo and Mom's roasted rice coffee!

Most ramen houses color theme is red, black and white but Ikkoryu interior's stand out coz of attention to details. The mirrors are used strategically. It brilliantly created an illusion of larger space. I love the feminine vibe of the flower wall art. I was amused when I saw the wall painting with the Japanese caricatures trying to fit in a ramen bowl and also that ladle!

To wrap it up, Ikkoryu ATC is one of the best ramen houses I've been for ramen fix and customer service. Kudos to Francis, Jayson and Eva for giving me a ramen-tic dinner experience!

DISCLOSURE: one-time visit, 08.28.2018 around 6PM.

The Ikkoryu salad was the perfect starter. Light and clean on the palate and very good texture. The ramen, I would have to say, was good at start, but builds up a lot that it becomes too salty. Wasn't able to finish it because of that. Got the P300 set meal. The portions were quite generous, though. Also ordered gyoza which wasn't bad, but the chicken karaage was a bit uninspired. I'd come back for the salad.

This is the first branch that I tried their signature original ramen. Superb and definitely my most favorite ramen for now. The broth is so tasty and doesn't even need any additional seasoning compared to the other ramen I tried. The noodles were so chewy. Their matcha ice cream is also good. Place and ambiance is nice with cool Jap interior decor. Staff is attentive and they serve fast.

Nice ambiance but since we seldom visited this mall, we had a hard time finding their location. Staff are friendly even their manager serve our food orders. If you are into Ramen, this place will really satisfy your palate! Their food are delicious not to mention their macha & seasalt caramel ice cream!! One of the best I've tasted so far.🖒🖒🖒. just want to suggest to cover their kitchen door decently so that their customers will not be able to see them doing stuff inside. 😊

Ikkoryu is pretty underrated but man, I love going here for ramen. I'm not sure if it's because the facade of the resto isn't as visible and as eye-catching as others, but Ikkoryu needs to get more attention than it does in Town!

1. Their ramen is good. It's comfort-food at its finest.

2. The broth tastes just right. Not too salty, not too creamy, and not bland at all. It's created well so the taste is very enjoyable. They offer a variety of flavors so it's fun to experiment.

3. The noodles are great. They're of fine quality (unlike other ramen places that have instant-noodle-like noodles huhu).

4. They have side dishes that pair well with your ramen! Their chicken karaage and their pork gyoza are the bomb,

5. You get your money's worth. For around P350, you already get a big bowl of ramen which is good for two. It's worth it.

6. Very friendly staff!

I find the interiors too dark. I know it's the theme but I feel the resto would do better if they perked up the place a bit more. Nevertheless, Ikkoryu is gr8!!! WOOHOO

This restaurant provides one of the best ramen I tasted in manila. Whenever i crave for ramen, this resto is on my list. The flavor of the ramen is very nice! The moment you tasted the soup of the ramen, you'll crave for more. The combination of ramen broth and spices plays in your tongue.

Aside from ramen, they also serve a tender and juicy karaage. My favorite japanese appetizer or sides.

Ambiance is great and comfortable.

The manager, Eva, is very polite and courteous. Their management has some annoying policies though. We had metrodeal vouchers and one of my companions wanted to order a lunch set meal, for which the vouchers did not apply. This was ok with us, as we intended to pay for the set meal in cash and the rest of the orders with our vouchers. But the service crew would not allow us, and repeatedly said the vouchers do not apply to the set meal, which we already understood. So we said what if my companion ordering the set meal would simply transfer to the next table, surely he could order the set meal (but of course). The service crew had to consult with the manager, Eva, who apparently agreed because they no longer took issue. But management shouldn't have policies for which easy workarounds can be made in the first place, as it serves nothing but annoy the customers.

Although this place is small, i believe that this particular resto has spectacular food to offer. We went there around noon time on a weekday, and it was pretty much packed with teens! Ikkoryu will give you what your money is worth. The broth tastes amazing and true to what the menu dictates. This is my second time here, and there will definitely a third or a fourth ♡

We spent around 500php per person for a small serving of Japanese siomai and ramen!

Had the chance to dine at this ramen place and I was satisfied with my shoyu ramen. The consistency for the ramen was too thick or thin, it was just right. You can really taste the pork in the broth. It never really left the bowl its all there, yet its never too overpowering. The staff were a little slow to attend to their guests but were generally responsolive after we made our order. This is one of thw better ramen places in the metro that has character.

Their ramen, the broth and noodles, were surprisingly good. Did not expect it since I wrongly assumed it to be instant in quality. The place does not get too crowded maybe because of the location being way inside the mall but this is what makes it all the more comfy to dine here. This belongs to the list of options where to have ramen in the south. The service was superb with accommodating and initiative staff. I have dined here 6 or more time all with pleasant experience. Food is good and staff service was superb. We will definitely keep coming back because of that and the reasonable price. Faves are Anjie Chashu, potato croquettes, and of course the Ikkoryu original. I also like their Icecream desserts try the matcha and salted caramel if available. Thank you!

Nice that it wasn't crowded during lunch time. Was relieved the food doesn't taste anything like instant ramen. The broth was super yummy, the meat was soft with a little bite, and the noodles was firm. Have to eat fast though or the oil will be bothersome as soon as the broth starts to cool down.

Finally had the chance to eat here and the best part is, I got to eat with some of the bloggers from my blogger group. After our event yesterday, I asked if they were okay to have dinner but we would need to go Dutch. When everyone agreed, we trooped to Ikkoryu and though I had a few bites at the event, I decided to get the Ikkoryu Tonkatsu Original.

I loved that their placemats had instructions so that everyone who dines would know the proper way to go about their ramen.

My Ikkoryu Tonkatsu Original looked really appetizing which is a big plus for me. Some ramen just look like things were thrown together without thought which is sad because how a plate is presented also matters.

The only thing that kind of put me off was the ladle. Do you see how big it is? It was an experience drinking soup from a ladle hahaha. I normally do this when I am tasting the food being cooked but not during the actual meal.

My friend found the soup a bit salty but for me, it was just right. The meat was very tender and simply fell apart which goes to show how long it took to cook. The mushroom bits complemented the taste and everything was just right. I finished the entire bowl by myself actually which tells you that I am either really hungry which I wasn't or that it was just really good.

I am just happy that the hype about the place was right. This is now my 3rd favorite Ramen place.

Got a DealGrocer for this place which is a great way to try out restaurants I haven't been to. I'm giving them two thumbs up for this first visit! We ordered their ajitama and chashu tonkotsu and both had the awesome steeped-in flavor of a good tonkotsu broth. Their ajitama (half-boiled egg) was just perfect, and the slice of chashu (pork) was tender with melt-in-your-mouth fat.

Service was courteous and attentive, with a touch of Japanese hospitality. That definitely was a plus for me!

The place is quite intimate with touches of wood, leather and warm lighting. They also have outside seating if anybody feels claustrophobic 😆

I won't hesitate to have ramen here again.

Well from a busy Sunday we ended up having a late snack and so this was at a regular restaurant where we have good ramen.

So one of the popular ramens and also a favorite of mine is the Black Garlic Tonkotsu. The balance of broth and spices is again to perfection and as always enjoyed this ramen. Highly recommend if in a need of some awesome ramen.

I've never been good with choosing ramen, it's always a hit or miss for me. But Ikkoryu Fukuoka's has got to be one of the bests for me. I always stick to my usual soup base, I got the Ajitama Tonkotsu and Gene got the Chasu Tonkotsu.

Get your noodles in al dente or their hardest because it'll just be cooked in the soup while you eat it.

Their karaage was just okay. But overall, i came out of this restaurant very satisfied!

I tried their best seller at Ikkoryu. This happens to be a favorite now because of the Aji Tamago eggs together with the soft pork. What I didn't like is that their restaurant at Alabang Town Center is too small. The ambiance is not that great. But still I would recommend this to all ramen lovers like me ;)

Ikkoryu's food is definitely something to try. I don't visit a lot of Japanese restaurants, so I'm glad one of my first few ventures beyond Tokyo Tokyo or a cup of instant noodles was a good one. The chashu don, karaage, and tonkatsu were very nice, but what really stuck with me was the Spicy Tobanjan Tonkotsu, which had a really nice pork broth livened up with just the right amount of spice.

Just a tip: make sure to order your ramen with really al dente noodles so when it continues cooking in the broth it doesn't end up soggy. It was nice of the server to recommend this, and she was right. In fact, all the servers were very friendly and attentive.

There was a bit of an issue with our food, but I thought they handled it well. So despite the small kerfuffle, I do plan on coming back and trying their other food.

This is my mom's favorite local Ramen restaurant. Service is always fast and the staff are nice and friendly.

You can choose the firmness of you noodles and they're always very accommodating when my dad (who doesn't eat carbs) opts to have his noodles on the side. I love the way they do their ajitama soft boiled egg! Their gyoza and karaage is good too (my brother's personal favorites)

After watching a movie, I am craving for ramen so we decided to eat here. I ordered the tantan tonkotsu and while he ordered the spicy tombanjan tonkotsu while the side is a chicken karage. I wanted to say that the tantanmen of ukkokei is much more creamier that the tantan tonkotsu and the serving is huge in ukkokei. The broth of the spicy tombanjan is just alright but not super spicy. I like how the staff are friendly in catering our needs. The karage was good :) I love it!! I was very hungry since I haven't eaten all day so I finished all the noodles.

I have to admit, when i first tried Ikkoryu Fukuoka Ramen, it was my favorite ramen place. But after i tried a number of other ramen places that sprouted around the metro, it was moved to the #3 spot. Still, i would say that I would still come back to this place. Their chicken karaage and yasai itame are really good.

We went here for dinner before going home after watching a PBA game. I've been wanting to try this place because of the poster in their store that says they were rated as one of the best restaurants (something to that effect). Also, being a ramen lover, I was curious if this could beat Yushoken.
We ordered their 2 best seller ramen (Ajitama Tonkotsu and I forgot the other one) as recommended by one of their friendly staff, and gyoza. I also got to choose the noodles if I wanted it soft, normal, hard and extra hard. I chose hard and my husband got the normal one. The ramen, especially the broth, did not disappoint. I also liked their gyoza although it seems thinner.
I will definitely go back to this place if ever I'd be in the vicinity of ATC. However, it failed to top Yushoken in my list.

The usual ramen pairings: gyoza and karaage. Their gyoza was quite good even though it was a bit thin. It possessed those crispy edges that I was looking for in a gyoza. As for the karaage, I was impressed with the flavor. It had the right amount of salt and right level of crispiness. I enjoyed munching on my chicken bit.

Looks scary/messy eh? Don’t be scared/fooled by its presentation for their Black Garlic Tonkotsu was one good ramen. I liked the airy sensation I got once I got a sip of the broth. The noodles were a bit of a letdown but that’s partly my fault. I requested to have it cooked at normal level (should have been hard). The pork was quite tender but I did not dare to eat the fat.

For me, it's the best ramen place so far...better than Yushoken. The richness was just perfect (not too rich) and the noodles was superb. The toppings were great too and you didn't have to pay extra to have a slice of organic hard-boiled egg. I also love that they serve cold tea instead of water. My wife who frequents Japan as a flight attendant compares it with the best ramen places there. My only complaint was that the aircon inside was a bit chilly so I'll probably just stay outside next time. Definitely this would be my default ramen place. Can't wait for my next visit!

The first time I tried their restaurant, it was noodle day in Alabang Town Center, a buy 1 take 1 promo. We tried the Ajitama Tonkotsu, Gyoza, and the Asahi Japanese beer. We were very satisfied and enjoyed our meal. Even the free food was delicious - it was a salad with noodles.

The second time around, I had a voucher worth P1,000. This time, we ordered the Chashu Tonkotsu, Ajitama Tonkotsu (again), Gyoza (again), and the tofu salad. Again, we were satisfied and very full.

Service is fast. It's better to stay inside than outside.

Nothing to complain here.

This is the second best ramen for me after Ramen Yushoken. I like their tonkotsu broth especially their black garlic oil ramen. You could choose how you like your noodles to be (if hard, regular, or soft). Its a good place for those who like exotic food since they have this raw octopus in sweet/salty mix with a hint of wasabi. You might want to try their raw squid but it's kinda salty. The food is totally good, however, they have a bit of problem with their service and how the cashier manage payments. You might want to double check your bill especially if discounts are applied. Double check also how they process card transactions.
