We came here for the first time for their okonomiyaki and it did not disappoint. The whole piece which costs around 200 pesos was more than enough for two people to share. A minor downside of eating here though is that there’s no signal (for Smart at least).
We were craving for Japanese food, but it was lunch hour and most Japanese restaurants in the area were full. We ended up in Fukuya and so glad we did.
Surprised that there weren't a lot of people dining here. Food was good and affordable. Staff was friendly and service was quick.
I enjoyed eating bento meals with my friends in here. It is very delicious. I would love to try more, especially their sushi! I wanna go back!
Food is really great and cheap for a Japanese Food. This is one of my childhood resto. They were initially located in SM southmall then transferred to festival. 😍
Japanese restaurant that offers authentic foods and affordable meals. Tried their budget meals for 170 and 140 only, complete meal, has rice, vegetables and main course. Tonkatsu value meal pork cutlet, the breaded of pork quite thick, loved the golden brown of its color since deep fried sya, vegetables included was fine I like the oyster sauce in it. Beef Korokke value meal, there was like mash potatoes inside the dish mixed with beef, they served it to us very hot, honestly medyo naiyak friend ko sa init nya. The sauce for fried dish was not salty, got refilled twice.
Go here for their Okonomiyaki. Affordable and filling. This is a Festival Mall staple. They may have transferred but their food never changed.
I seem to frequently come back to Fukuya whenever I crave for Japanese food. I love the variety to choose from. Really a great place if your tummy's craving for some Japanese but not exactly sure what dish (Me most of the time).
The prices are alright considering their serving size. They also have budget meals which are always a good option to have. The karaage was good but the mixed sushi had too much rice for my liking. I prefer being able to eat my sushi in one bite. I also enjoyed their Katsu Curry. Personally, I had no problem with their service.

I just can't see myself not coming back
A nice alternative when you have a sudden crave for Japanese food.
I often order their Gyoza/Chahan Value Meal since it's both good and filling for a reasonable price. The way their gyoza is cooked is great, with one side being toasted for that crunch. The filling is also good but not the best if we're talking about gyoza. The chahan is the highlight for that meal, its flavorful but not salty, you can really eat it on its own.
Have also tried their Tonkatsu, Curry Rice, and Pork Shogayakidon which were good aside from the last one.
However, the service here is bad. Most of the time the cashier will not be in the register and the kitchen staff themselves will be the one to take your order but you will have to pay later when the cashier returns. The serving time can also take a while but its acceptable since the food is good.

Okonomiyaki is my go-to Japanese comfort food and I really love their okonomiyaki here. Not as good as the original ones in Japan but this is my favorite place to get them here, esp the Hiroshima style okonomiyaki, which is my favorite.
Also love their gyoza, even tho the wrapper can be a bit thick.
I'm a regular here and I think the staff already recognizes me, they never fail to smile as they take your order and bid you goodbye as you leave.
I love this place. I love the food. The servings are great. Only downside is the serving time. I was goven the impression that the place is a Japansed fastfood but it is not. If you are too hungry, do jot expect to be served promptly. I do not have any other qualms though.
Looking forward to going back and trying all of their food.
Whenever me and my sister goes to festival mall, we always eat here. Affordable and authentic japanese food. Our favorites are the hiroshima style okonomiyaki and beef korokke.
Omg!!!!!!! Ive seen this place a thousand times but i didnt bother to eat here just for today. I made my research first and this intrigue me as i am looking for a Japanese resto in a cheaper aspect and here it is! It surprised me especially their curry rice its cheap yet its yummy and very satisfying. I guess i already have my go to place when curry craving is at hit. Thank you Fukuya!!!
Staff are polite and food is great! Located at the ground level of festival mall alabang near the food court. I love their rice and beef curry.
Every time I pass by Fukuya, I’m always drawn in by nostalgia. My mom loves Fukuya and she passed that on to us, we always get the tempura soba, gyoza combo. These two dishes are always on point and delicious. Ask the chef to serve the soba and the tempura separately so it was still have some crunch. Their gyoza is plump, and perfect eith their sauce. Glad to know they are still consistent and have good quality until now.

had always been my favorite place to eat since 2007.. ❤️❤️ i was 23 or 24 back then.. Tempura bento and Tempura udon were my best meal everytime i went to visit Fukuya..
my family have been visiting this restaurant since i was a kid. i loved fukuya so much. their food is indeed authentic! okonomiyaki and gyoza are my favs!
This is the place to be when you're craving for some Japanese food and unfortunately happen to be on a tight budget. For P200, you get a pretty decent meal set. I might even say that some of their items taste surprisingly better than their counterparts from the classy restos.
You get a jolly greeting from the staff before and after your visit just like any other Japanese place. They might seem to be a little short on servers (there was only one waiter that time) but that didn't cause any delay on serving time anyway - 15 to 20 mins. I like how they served our meals in a box and when you open it, (tadaa) your steaming hot food with a half slice of banana for dessert.
Again, the food was 'meh ok' but with potential. Would definitely go back, because who would say no to good Japanese food for a cheap price?
The okonomiyaki hiroshima is fantastic! Love it the way they prepare and cook the food. The ambience is also something. One of our favorite japanese restaurant.
Serving time is reasonable, taste is alright, price is affordable yet somehow pricey for its taste. One thing we noticed is the flavor of their Ramen soup — it’s like “Pinoy-themed”. Soup is mildly sweet. Comparing it to other Ramen-specialty stores, the soup is usually garlic/pork broth-based. Store doesn’t accept Credit Cards.
The address needs to be updated since they already moved to the Lower Ground Level last year.
It's affordable and I haven't ordered anything yet that I didn't like. We've been going to this restaurant for years even when they were in the Third Level where it was uncomfortably warm.
It's not a full service restaurant as you have to order from the counter but they do deliver the food to your table. The crew is quite attentive.
Best value for a decent Japanese meal. The only criticism is that they do not accept credit or debit cards.
This resto serves ramen, donburi, tepanyaki and bento meals. Their prices fall under cheap eats, and the serving size is good value for money.
My friend got ramen though and she described it as ‘just ok’, nothing spectacular. I, on the other hand, pretty much found my tendon good and filling.
The place is a bet small, siguro because is a japanese resto like what you saw in japan. The food is ok, a bet pricey..but for me the ramen is worth the price.
Fukuya has been in Festivall Mall for as long as I can remember, I am pretty sure that Fukuya was the spot were I got enlightened by Okonomiyaki (They weren't located on the ground floor yet, that's how long it has been).
Fukuya has a great vibe.. from the exterior of their place.. to the service of their staff.... everthing is good! The food spot is quite cozy and makes you have a pleasant dining experience.
As for food recommendations, I say... go for their Chicken Curry. It's quite a good curry and has the right amount of flavor, not bland nor not too nakakaumay!
If you guys are going to opt for the Katsu Curry, don't expect a thick slab (Yabu-like katsu) of katsu on your plate though.... it's a thin piece of porkchop (I'm not saying its not good though, just wanted to give a heads up!)
My one stop japanese restaurant: 😻😻😻😻😻
Pricing: average, anyone can enjoy authentic japanese cooking. 😻😻😻😻😻 ranges from usd 2.75-4.00
Ambience - feels like your typical japanese ramen shop in japan. Music played is folk genre from provincial pefectures.
Food - this business has been existent for the heavens could know, but they have retained the quality from then to now. Thank you Fukuya management. K love you so much. 😻😻😻😻😻
Service - fast 😻😻😻😻😻
I give 5.0 to this store overall.
Picture posted is omurice that i ordered at the time of visit... yummmmmmy! 😻😻😻😻😻
Japanese food has always been and always will be my choice of comfort food. I originally headed to Tokyo Tokyo but it was jampacked. On my way to work via commerce exit, I chance upon neatly interior designed Japanese nook, Fukuya.
It is my first time here and I am giving generous score of 5.
There's a typhoon and weather is cold and soaking wet before 8pm. I ordered Tempura bento and green tea (pot). I ordered miso soup also though i feel it was a bit expensive.
Food is great and I love the ambiance. Price is reasonable and affordable. I want to comment on the tempura sauce. It was bit salty and leaves a weird aftertaste but other than that, everything's all good.
Japanese music playing added a different experience of dining in at Fukuya
Formerly located at the higher level of Filinvest Festival Mall, renovated 2014 and came back last year but now at the ground floor.I miss this place affordable simple Japanese cuisine.Fast service I like the external display of Japanese replica of the menu. The interior is the same yet better lighting and cleaner vibe.
My favorite here are the bento boxes and this time I ordered Chicken karage .Still same quality of food.
If you want some basic Japanese diner this place is a good choice.
Organized and clean kitchen too.☺
Muntinlupa City, being my hometown has lead me to recognize the establishments that has been there since time- Fukuya Japanese restaurant is one of them. Their food is good and comforting, along with the nice ambiance and fast service. Not examplary but could live up to expectations.
Fukuya has been a Festival Mall staple for as long as I can remember. They've recently relocated at the ground level near the food court area. Once you enter you instantly feel like you've been transported to a different place, they retained the old interiors but with better lighting. I ordered my usual 'Gyoza Value meal' for 140pesos. It is a small bento box with shredded cabbage, chahan rice and three pieces of gyoza. The chahan is flavorful and filled with meat and egg. The gyoza is filled with a little bit of meat. The wrapper is chewy, with a bit of crisp. A small cup of miso soup would be a nice addition. Also ordered 'kani tempura' for 130pesos. It is 3 pieces of kani cut in half. Crisp and thinly battered. The tempura sauce on the side is generous. We also ordered the 'Gomoku Ramen' (230pesos), serving is big. Filled with meat and assorted fish balls (!), kani. The vegetables are aplenty. Chopped chinese cabbage stalks (pechay) and carrots filled the bowl. The soup base is light unlike traditional gomoku ramen which thickened with potato starch. Would have been better if they added a bit more variety instead of filling it with fish balls.
Service is quick, the open kitchen set up is a welcome treat. We always frequent Fukuya if we like no frills, quick Japanese food. Would stick to the usuals and not the ramen. Senior citizen discount honored.
Solid Japanese comfort food, particularly when it comes to their signature okonomiyaki. For preference, I usually go with the very substantial Hiroshima-style okonomiyaki which features a filling of sauteed noodles, pork, and shredded cabbage. The generous splodge of Otafuku sauce on top adds a distinctive sweetness that balances the overall flavour of the dish.
Good thing they have a japanese resto here in filinvest. Overall i can say the food is great. Only 1 server pero okay naman mabilis ang service. Just add more kasi pansin ko isa lang sya andaming customer. Tuna sashimi and california maki sakto lang not that bad. Ill definitely come back if mag crave ako.
A Japanese restaurant with a wide variety of Japanese Cuisine. Opted for Beef Gyudon, Beef Sukiyakidon and Gyoza. The rice meals were good. Freshly cooked upon ordering. Gyoza was awesome too! Two thumbs up! 👍👍 When I come back,I'll try their bento meals. #ShootFirstEatLater #InTheMoodForFood #FoodChoiCess
OKONOMIYAKI Ok na Ok! Just be patient for the seats are limited.
trip advise for
-guys: EXTRA RICE. you'll need one I swear.
-girls: you'll love the presentation of the food.
It was in our trip in South Korea when I was first able to taste okonomiyaki and it has been one of my favorite food ever since. So ever since then, I've always been on the look out for restaurants that have okonomiyaki on their menu and when I saw that Fukuya had it, I had to try it!
On my first visit I had their Okonomiyaki (Butatama, Osaka Style) and their Kara-age Ramen. Their Okonomiyaki (Butatama, Osaka Style) didn't live up to the standards set by the okonomiyaki I tasted back in South Korea but it was a very, very good substitute. I didn't find anything very special about their Kara-age Ramen, though. I feel it wasn't very authentic as compared to other restaurants that specialize in ramen.
On my second visit, I tried their Okonomiyaki (Hiroshima Style). It was almost the same as the Okonomiyaki (Butatama, Osaka Style) but this had noodles underneath the pancake. It was a very heavy meal but I prefer the Okonomiyaki (Butatama, Osaka Style) better as I felt like the noodles didn't go so well with the pancake.
I will keep on coming back for their Okonomiyaki (Butatama, Osaka Style) plus it doesn't hurt, too that the prices of their food are very affordable.
I have eaten here only once. I can't remember what I ordered but the food tastes really good. Whenever I go to Festival Mall, I always want eat here but my gf is not fond of Japanese food so I haven't come back yet. Tastes really good but not to the point of fighting my gf for this. But I'm looking forward to dine in here again. =)
