They have very good Churros, not soggy, very crunchy, and lighter than expected. Their dip is also of high quality, which tastes like a sweet Tablea chocolate.
Place is very clean and well maintained and all the servers are accomodating and friendly.
They have since improved their service since last I went here because they served our order much faster.
Price is a bit high though, especially for the dip. Granted a small order of Churros (6pcs) and an order of dip can be shared between 2 people. I wish they had a 'solo' order though that has a much lower price so that more people can try.
I must say. These are really good churros. It doesnt feel like plain bread sticks. The chocolate is solid good. I haven't tried the other dishes yet though
Owner, Elena Balaguer, welcomed us with warm smiles and excitement as our foodie team covered her prized restaurant. She currently has two branches, the other being at the Ayala 30th Mall in Ortigas.
This feature was geared towards highlighting La Maripili's other concept recipes, that they are more than your go-to for fine and delectable premium churros.
We were served first starters, after sipping on their own curation of Dark Mocha. It had Davao chocolate in them for an extra bold and bittersweet vibe. Every sip was simply divine!
A plate of Huevos Rotos (PHP 490) arrived, a Spanish tapas consisting of double cooked fried potatoes and two fried sunny side up eggs, topped with jamon serrano. I like the balance of light and strong savory tastes in this dish.
Next was another variety of potato appetizer, Patatas Bravas (PHP 480). This had smoky chorizo drenched with brava sauce, which is made up of spicy mayonnaise, chili, and tomatoes.
Artisan Burrata Salad (PHP 600) gave us a preview of their healthier alternatives. It was a refreshing plate of New Zealand cheese, farm to table tomatoes in pesto sauce, olive tapenade, kalamata olives, sun-dried tomatoes and my favorite greens, arugula. Must have, even if you are on a budget!
They present soup here with a style and they showed us how they do it. Their Carrot Soup with Orange and Ginger Roasted (PHP 260) and Creamy Mushroom Soup (PHP 370, has fresh shiitake, button and oyster mushrooms served with brie cheese and croutons) were laid out in bowls with toppings first and then the soup will be poured into it after. I love the thickness and quality of both. The Carrot Soup is a tad better as it gave me all fundamental tastes in one go.
La Maripili now has rice meals! We started shooting their take on classic Arroz a la Cubana (PHP 390). It was artistically plated with homemade tomato sauce, roasted ground meat, sunny side up and plantain or bananas. They also have Home-Cooked Adobo (PHP 590), a Filipino staple of tasty chicken and pork marinated in soy and vinegar. Interestingly, they served this with sweets of mango and banana.
Now for more carbs, Pizza! We feasted in three kinds, Black Truffle Pizza (PHP 650, black truffle paste, fontina cheese, curly endives with homemade honey vinaigrette), Cuatro Quesos y Salsa Verde Pizza (PHP 460, gorgonzola, parmesan, cheddar, mozzarella with pesto) and All About Meat Pizza (PHP 560, pepperoni, ground beef, smoked bacon, farmer’s ham, mozzarella in tomato sauce). Each crust had its own character of taste and texture with me loving the crunchiest bite of the Black Truffle Pizza.
And finally, dessert. We were served with house popular, Churros that were incredibly satisfying! Each piece was a celebration. I enjoyed every crunch and dips from two sauces, chocolate, and caramel.
La Maripili is calling out your name. They now have more choices to lure you! I in particular have erased my notion that they are just a cafe. It is now a restaurant, giving you classic favorites with a modern take on it.
I love the aesthetics of the restaurant. I enjoyed the toasts and the churros we ordered then. I am also happy to see that they have expanded their menu. Looking forward to being back to try new offerings.
Ambience - cozy but a bit dark
Staff - courteous and attentive (but personally I would prefer if they wore hair nets. 2 of the servers had their hair falling all over their face)
Food:
Pasta with truffle oil - tasty
Pizza with arugula and Jamon - tasty
Bolognese - cheesy but we prefer the traditional recipe
Churros - it was not oily but I prefer it be more "airy"
Hot chooclate - bitter:(
Mango crepe - delicious
Just happened upon this place. Didn't know what it's about but the striking decor pulled me in. We were pleasantly surprised that it's a churreria that just happens to have other things on the menu. The Mac and Cheese was lovely. It had a generous amount of that lovely gouda cheese. The tawilis sandwich also surprised me because I don't eat this fish, but it had that distinct yet delectable taste. It went well with the caramelized onions and tomato. Overall we had a good experience here. Will definitely come back to try the other things on the menu.
I've tried La Maripili before and i have seen quite an improvement on their air conditioning and ventilation. Their churros are deemed the best in Manila and as much as I do not want to put labels, theirs is indeed a delicious batch of churros. Crispy, soft and has a light dusting of sugar. It is a great morning snack time treat paired perfectly well with their chocolate. I love how thick and bitter their chocolate is. The large plant boxes inside the restaurant are a bit too much but ultimately serves its purpose. A must visit in the south, or you can visit them at the Ayala 30th Mall in Pasig if your not feeling the urge to drive down south.
La Maripili started as a churros shop or churreria but now it’s an authentic Spanish restaurant inspired from the Northern, more Mediterranean part of Spain, Cataluña. The Queen Bee: Greatly-made Churros. If you’ve tasted churros from other resto and already set standards on the quality of their churros but I’ll still give some quick facts on how to determine a well-cooked churro. It must not have spikes on the outer surface and must be a balanced golden brown color, crunchy on the outside and spongy on the inside. Churros must not be too long or too thick because it will just absorb more oil, burn the exterior while the inside is still uncooked. So that’s it! It really requires patience to create tasty churros but Maripili did it well.
I've been here twice for their churros and sandwiches.
I think they get their edge from the churros' chocolate dip. It's very authentic-tasting and pure; like tablea tasting so it's more of a dark chocolate dip. If you're one with a sweet tooth, I think it can still satisfy it. Personally, I prefer the chocolate dark than having it too sweet.
The sandwiches were slightly burnt when I ordered them and they weren't anything special. They tasted like something I could have made at home. Everything on their menu is slightly overpriced.
The place has a picturesque design which is very instagram-friendly -- and so does their food plating -- but the ventilation here is terrible. It's so hot inside. I have no idea if the aircon is weak or if it's really just hot. Would not recommend this place for staying long.
They should probably improve on a few things (like lighting)! They have so much potential though!
Hello Alabang! Yes, I am back for a series of meeting today. After my lunch meeting at Molito Complex, I hopped to the newest Commercial Center of Alabang Town Center to try La Maripili. La Maripili is a Spanish Restaurant that offers churros as their main product. Aside from churros they also sell sandwiches and different flavors of ice cream.
The white restaurant made of woods is noticeable outside. When I enter the place the warm lights and sun lights brighten the spacious restaurant. Few customers where dining inside. Until I've reached the counter and order Small Churros for Php60.00 (Other sizes are Medium for Php120.00 and Large Php180.00), I add Hot Chocolate Dip for Php110.00. I also tried their Flavored Churros, I got Sweet Filling Churros with Catalan for Php60.00 and with Dulce de Leche for Php60.00. I've waited 5 minutes before my order arrived. Of course they served drinking water first.
🍫Small Churros - ⭐️⭐️⭐️ 3/5
🍫Hot Chocolate Dip - ⭐️⭐️⭐️ 3/5
🍫Flavored Sweet Filling Churros with Catalan - ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 4/5
🍫Flavored Sweet Filling Churros with Dulce de Leche - ⭐️⭐️⭐️ 3/5
"Matabang yung Churros and kulang sa sweetness yung Chocolate Dip... Medyo Bitter. Same with Flavored Churros with Dulce de Leche, it's bland although the Flavored Churros with Catalan taste good naman."
Am I going back again? not for now.
La Maripili is located at ATC Corporate Center, Ayala-Alabang, Muntinlupa City.
#ilovetoeatph 😃❤️
A simple yet elegant place to have your Churro & Crêpe fix. La Maripili, isolated from the busyness of Alabang Town Center, is a place to have quiet conversation, a cup of coffee, and a feast of starchy doughy goodness. From what I've had a chance of sampling in their menu, saying that their food is good would be a total understatement and would be a huge insult.
Looking into the restaurant itself, you'd know that it's a haven for foodies who make food photography a hobby. Everything from the exterior, the interior, to their food, screams Instagram worthy (OR "Wait! Picture muna!").

We ate here at around 1pm and we are the only customers. I am not sure if it was only past lunch time and no one else is dining. Anyhow, I do love the ambiance and interiors of the place. Very laid back, relaxed. Their toasts are well-priced and huge in servings. Churros are best to eat when served hot. Make sure to bring cash as they don't have POS portal for credit cards. Will come back to try their other dishes.
Areat place to spend your afternoon while having your sweet delights. :) Another instagrammable cafe. We had their classic churros and Suizo Dip. They also offer grilled sandwiches, coated churros, pasta and more.
I'm really happy that churros is now everywhere like ice cream! ❤️ La Maripili's beautiful churros cafe is really inviting. The place was empty when we got there. We sat in a booth in a corner. Comfy! After ordering in the counter, the churros was served in our table with a carafe of water! 👍🏻
Tried their churros with chocolate dip, dulce de leche and catalan filled churros. Churros is thinner and shorter (compared to the grandmother's). 🙊I love the filled ones crunchy outside, hot inside. The dulce de leche is deliciously sweet. Their chocolate dip, I'm not exactly sure. It has an off aftertaste for me. 😑
Ate here last week, I heard this new place in Alabang so I went and tried it. Apparently they were known for their churros and so I ordered churros plus hot choco as dip. I also ordered Pomodoro for my dinner. It was a bit underseasoned, I needed to ask for salt and pepper to add taste to it, since its tomato base and italian-style I am expecting it to be a bit more tangy. And for a 300+ peso pasta dish the portion was way off the mark. I always consider the food's price with my expectations so if its less expensive I could say its fair but with its price I think they can do better. Plus the staff told me the pasta dish is good for 2 servings so I was really expecting it to be at least at 250g but my estimate is its as good as 180-200g serving which is only good for 1 serving (not that sure tho just an estimate). Luckily for me, the churros were delicious. I loved the perfect crispiness of the churros, its not soggy and the dip was very good. I can taste a bit of batangas style cocoa tablea taste into it but I am not sure if that is the exact ingredient they use. Customer service was just okay. Perfect place to chill and have casual convos and dates, with that I would still comeback to try only their coffees and other churro-flavors.
Churrrrrrooooosssss! Who doesn't love churros? 😍😱 Newly opened churros/coffee shop at Alabang! It's kinda intimidating when you looked from the outside. From the white painted doors down from its pleasant looking seats, who wouldn't thought you'll get your churros cravings for less than 200 pesos! 👅
The interior is really classy with its big doors and big windows. It’s all white with an industrial-homey vibes to it and the ambiance is simple and elegant, which I really love. I’m a sucker for interiors, I know. Plus, the crew is really kind and accommodating. She guided us on what to order.
We ordered their classic churros in small, a cup of hot chocolate dip and their European Classic grilled sandwich. We were also served a small pitcher of water and some paper cups.
I like their churros. You can eat the churros by itself since it’s already good as is. But the chocolate dip will bring it to a whole new level. The chocolate isn’t that sweet, it has a hint of coffee taste in it which I think put a depth in the flavor of the chocolate, which is really good.
Their grilled sandwich is really good, too. I think I like it better than the churros. Haha! There was a perfect balance of flavors between the cheese and the ham. But I guess it was too pricey for a sandwich. But all in all, we really enjoyed this place.
A lot of places boast good churros, but this place is the real deal. Quick tip: ask for a glass of milk when you're done with the chocolate dip for the churros, for a quick hot coco fix. Open-faced sandwiches are excellent as well.
The staff are very eager to serve, albeit a bit too eager at times, but you can't blame the guy for trying.
Worth my comeback? Yes!
Reasonable? Sure it was!
I really like the classic churros with a not-so-sweet hot chocolate dip. Churros itself was not too oily compared to la lola. The small size was very reasonable for only 60php with 6 pieces of churros in it! On the flavored one, we tried Dulce de Leche and Chocolate chili Mouse. It was good! Had a great time here. Plus, the interiors are italian inspired. ❤️
Located at ATC's new commerce center, those new churros place offers the best churros by far. Perfectly cooked to crisp without any oil residue. You wouldn't think at it was even deep fried. It is complimented with their signature hot chocolate dip that is not sweet and not too bitter. I also tried their hazelnut flavored churros but I still find their regular churros the best.
Since I was already in Alabang, why not visit the churreria I've been eyeing on since it opened? Who wouldn't want to hit two birds with one stone, right? So after our lunch at Butamaru, we headed to Alabang Town Center for my dessert. We parked and just walked our way to ATC Corporate Center. The best way to get there is to take the Madrigal Avenue exit of the mall (if you came from the mall itself).
I love that their Churros aren't greasy not oily, and that their local dipping chocolate's superb. It compliments well. Not too sweet just the right balance of sweetness and bitterness. :) can't wait to try out their sandwiches in the future.
La Maripili, Alabang town center
The ambiance ☑️
The price ☑️
The taste ☑️
You must try their churros, the taste is super classic, I really like it. Plus the sandwich. Super solve not that pricy
PS: REALLY INSTAGRAMMABLE BECAUSE OF THE CLASSIC INTERIOR OF THE PLACE 💘
Finally got to try this! I have been meaning to drop by but my schedule doesn’t permit me to do so. Good thing my gal pals and I were in town to try out some of their churros. Their place was quite spacious. I liked their white interiors that balanced with their furniture. It looked crisp and clean. And yes, it does set up for some serious churros business. They have a lot of offers that even included some breakfast eats. That surprised me. I only came here for the churros but found myself wanting to try their other offers.
The place is cozy, and has a good interior. We ordered plain churros with chocolate dip. The churros alone is perfect, but the dip is not that sweet.
Very nice and cozy ambiance. Perfectly cooked classic churros matched with a cup of hot chocolate. Their nutella crepe is very soft to bite, and very tasty. The nutella was folded into whipped cream. Wish they had glasses and dishes instead of everything wrapped and served in paper plates and cups. Their churros trumps dulcinea's and their crepe trumps cafe breton's, I think. :-)
There's a new player in town. Elusive and known to some as La Maripili.
One has to embark on a journey of massive traffic proportions to rub elbows with La Maripili. I was one of the brave souls. The journey was magical and filled with mystery. Yes, i am exaggerating, had to commit to the magical realism-ish introduction.
Everyone i know and who reads my reviews in the foodie universe knows that i am absolutely enamored by La Lola. I will try to set aside my biases.
I had a hard time looking for the joint, that is expected since i am direction impaired and i am in uncharted territory. I had to use the escalators twice, turn left and, walk a little and ask for directions twice.
Eureka! Hello, La Marpili.
First, i am digging the interiors. White and wood is predominant. I feel like i am on a vacation on the French Riviera. White looks so elegant, goes well with the wooden furniture.
On to the churros. First, their prices are relatively cheap. Small sized churros retails at php 60, same for the chocolate dip. They also offer coated and stuffed ones.
I got the small one and the one stuffed with chocolate chili mouse. When my churros were served, i was surprised that the size was smaller. I ain't complaining, i am actually in favor of the small sized ones as it makes it is condusive to munching and stays true to the essence of churros. You eat em with your hands.
I love La Maripili's classic churros! Crunchy and not oily! No trace of oil on your fingers, baby! The chocolate dip is okay too, i somehow taste subtle hints of coffee for some reason. The stuffed ones is mediocre though, not enough filling. The chocolate chili mousse is good, i wish they have this as one of their dips. Chocolate and chili is always a good idea.
They also have a variety of options for the stuffed and coated ones. Dulce De Leche, Strawberry and Catalan perhaps?
Crossing two rivers and fighting the dragon is worth it! I got a taste of churro perfection at La Marpili.

Came in early on a Tuesday morning as people are going about their own business. My bestfriend and I were the first customers and we settled on the brighter end of the room to get some sunshine. Staff greeted us with a warm smile as we browsed through the menu. We decided to get the churros which retails for 60php for 6pcs and ended up getting another set. The chocolate that did not come with it was P110, a bit pricey, but considering it's gooey, dark chocolatey, perfect sweetness, it was worth it contrary to what others are saying. A cup was just right for a medium sized (12pcs for P120) crispy 6-inch churros. Now what is not to like?
I enjoyed the restaurant.
Nestled in the new building by Alabang town center this quaint restaurant served good churros con chocolate. I'm still trying to search for the really good chocolate my aunt used to make but this is a nice surprise. Not for take out as best eaten freshly made. Their grilled no fuss sandwiches are good too. Nice for a simple merienda.
My girlfriend and I decided to eat at La Maripili. This place is very relaxing, because the ambiance is very modern and catchy to the eyes of the customers. They had a good concept of their restaurant which is Spanish Theme. The quality of the food is good, the pricing is also good and is not that expensive must try their churros with chocolate dip! 🍴☕️🤗 and also the staffs are approachable and they are very happy to serve their customers :)
Where do I start?
I like how they styled their store, they kept it simple by using white as a base colour with natural wood and black steel to accentuate the place.
I love how crispy the churros are and once you dip it into their rich hot chocolate, it is simply heavenly inside your mouth (ok ok that's a bit of an exaggeration). One bite is simply not enough for this goodness. Please ask for hot water to dilute the extra chocolate mixture so you drink this goodness.
La Maripili is definitely a must try.
The ambience and interiors were really nice. We ordered the 12 pcs churros and the chocolate (less than 250php for what i ordered) and it was really sulit. The churro was not doused with sugar or cinnamon sugar which was perfect, just enough, not too sweet, not complicated and not competing with the flavor of the lovely chocolate dip. The exterior of the churro was crisp and inside not doughy or starchy or heavy. I really dont understand why a lot of people do not like the dip. It is sooooo super good. Not the kind of dip you can find elsewhere made out of compound chocolate or with high amounts of fructose, or yung thick syrup type. Good stuff, that dip.
I just wish the place was pet-friendly. We werent allowed to dine in because we had our puppy with us. So, I just ordered take out and ate our churros somewhere else. Our puppy loved the churro too minus the chocolate. But too bad we cant sit inside with her.

This is my perfect taste for churros. Not too sweet. Hot chocolate dip is a bet expensive but it's plenty. I ordered classic churros the texture of the food and taste is good. I also tried their white chocolate coated churros, it's not to sweet. Because I don't like too much sweet blend.. The staffs are warm and the place is fine but I think they need improvement..
Churros are in affordable price. I recommend this place if you're a churros lover.
This is my first time to taste churros with hot choco After researching the best churros in town i finally choosed la maripili. Churros is bit crisper than doughly soft pretzel. I think star shape contributes to that. Hot choco is thicker than average hot choco. I had a bit of a burnt aftertaste hence the taste is good but nothing special.
Warm hipster interiors. Food is relatively good and worth the price. Servers are mostly friendly and attentive. I guess my experience would have been great if only the staff maintained a good set of music choices that is appropriate for the theme. They would play a mix of belting ballads and OPM songs that, I personally feel, ruins the mood. I would definitely come back but hoping the stay will feel better.

Churros are thick, crunchy on the outside and just the right softness on the inside. Hot chocolate is similar to tablea. Waiters are friendly and courteous. A good place to catch up with friends.
I went here after my quick tex mex lunch in Taco Bell ATC and by word of mouth from my friends in the south they say their churros con chocolate is really good.
I tried it for myself and yeah it met my expectations. They compliment each other with their rich thick hot chocolate together with the churros. The ambiance looks enticing perfect for an after dinner or movie kind of thing with the family or your date. The service is quick and attentive and I would be back definitely to have another filling of their treats and try other selections.
Their (medium) churros were good and the dip tastes like melted dark chocolate. So if you want a sweeter dip for your churros, I think this is not the right place to be. I prefer both anyway. So we ordered 2 medium churros and 2 dips for a total of P460. The serving of the churros itself was just okay but the dip is kinda pricey. The place is so pretty and cozy but it looks like the AC's not working :( Good thing I am with my crazy friends that made my stay manageable. What I also like about this place aside from its undeniably pretty interiors and ambiance is the service. The service was also fast. They gave you water right after you order/sit on your chair. The staff were also friendly which is a very good thing. They also respond to our requests fast and whole heartedly. Will definitely come back to try their coffee and other sandwiches and their flavored churros :)
The good - each churro is smaller than La Lola's churros and I think it's a better and more manageable size. Nice texture on the classic churros- lighter crunch than La Lola. Chocolate dip wasn't too sweet. The churro itself had a very good taste to it. More flavor than La Lola. Tastes similar to Don Churro. The place is nicely designed and very bright.
The bad - the place was quite hot. They need to turn up the aircon especially this time of the year. I actually preferred eating the classic churros on its own instead of with the chocolate dip. The dulce de leche filled churro was disappointing. The batter was not crispy/crunchy at all and it didn't taste like it was fresh out of the fryer.
Cozy place. I like the vibe but it was hot at that time. We ordered a small batch of the classic with hot chocolate as dip. I liked the dip as it didn't taste like sugar. As for the ones with sweet filling, we got the catalan cream and chocolate and chili. Also got us some savory options, jamon serrano and chorizo and honey. My favorites were the catalan cream and jamon serrano. I can eat these two all day. As for the others, they are so so. Nothing mind blowing here but will definitely come back for a craving.
Being a regular at ATC..i can help but notice this new churros place, or as my friend calls it " new churros-an in the south " 😁 and since i really haven't tried those mainstream churros places..i didnt waste time to check this resto out.
La Maripili's interior exudes a modern but rustic feel. Im not sure if they have air conditioning, but it wasnt hot naman for me despite going there around 2pm.
Service was fast but theyre not really "mabati".
We ordered the Classic Churros with the hot chocolate dip, the churros is good on its own, it has the right amount of crisp and not too sweet. Im not sure if the chocolate used for the dip is dark chocolate, but i found it too bitter for my liking.
We also ordered the coated (or dipped? I forgot 😵) churros, we tried the strawberry and dark chocolate variant. The strawberry one was good, the coating had the right amount of tang and sweetness that a real strawberry has. The dark chocolate one as ive mentioned before was quite bitter padin..i guess they really used good quality chocolate because its flavor is really strong. Which is good naman, i guess im just not into dark chocolate.
But hey, go ahead and check out this place! Dining here was really nice because of the ambience and the classic churros was really good!
Learned of this churreria, thought it was inside ATC got to ask the concierge and told me that its inside the new bpo building .
As I'm.a purist I tried the classic and also ordered the chocolate dip ,love the texture of the churros there's a crisp into it tho not much ,the chocolate dip is a must not too thick, not too sweet just perfect. Also tried the Catalan filled churro but I must say I really am a classic guy.
Nice interior, friendly staff.
The best churros in Alabang! This newly opened spot served fairly priced churros and a rich hot chocolate that would you certainly satisfy your churro craving! Unfortunately it was an extremely humid day and there were so many mosquitoes (believe me, the mosquitoes were so distracting that I swatting them away more than eating) during my visit, leaving me with a not so pleasing first impression. Nevertheless, great churros! Dulcinea would still be #1 for me, but these ones were a close second.
Nice that Alabang is catching up with the rest of Metro Manila.
Excellent churrros. Not as thick as "grandma's" which makes them crunchier. I like!
Chocolate is again top notch: thick, not too sweet. Perfect to bottoms up after dipping your churrros, which will probably happen because the portion is generous.
The place has this unfinished wood look: unfinished table tops, unfinished floors, the crates on the wall are unfinished. Makes you feel like the place is, yes unfinished!
But I'll be back to try their sandwiches. Maybe the place will look more finished.
I saw a post about this newly opened churros place in Alabang Town Center,so why not give it a try. I came here before going to work. The ambiance of this place is instaworthy, and so is their food. And because this is a new place, you can smell the newly painted walls. As for the price, price is not too pricey. Very authentic churros taste compared to the very famous churros place here in the PH. Their staff is very accomodating. And btw, thank you to one of their staff who even followed me inside ATC, because I left my brown envelope which contains important documents. Over all, thumbs up to this new resto.
The place is located at the new building in Alabang Town Center. An Instagram-worthy place that serves a variety of churros, sandwich, and coffee. I suggest to get the classic churros if it's your first time in this place. Classic churros perfectly paired with their hot chocolate. Their churros con chocolat reminds me of my first churros experience in Barcelona, Spain. So far, La Maripili was the closest I've tried in the Metro. As to the price, Classic churros: approximately 5-6 inches per pc (small)6 pcs @ Php 60, it's good for 1 person, (medium) 12 pcs @ Php 120, & (large) 18pcs @ Php 180 while the hot chocolate is Php 110, actually good for 2-4 persons since it's meant to be a drink. Also tried Pinoy Catalan, an open-faced sandwich. It was okay. A bit pricey @ Php 200/order. The place though is on their soft opening so you have to bear with the smell of newly painted interiors. Overall, La Maripili is surprisingly worth trying and I would definitely come back to try their flavored churros!
