Seafood Laksa was excellent! Had Gambas, Pork Belly and Carbonara as well. They all tasted great but the Laksa left a very good impression! Will definitely go back!
Great food. I don't think I'll ever eat crispy pata anywhere else after I tasted theirs. I'm not a big fan of pork, but their crispy pata and sisig won me over. Even my brother who's a picky eater agrees. If you're a fan of spicy food, you must try their dynamite too. Just the right ratio of cheese and chili. Servings are big too so the prices are justified! They don't use MSG and have healthy options if you're dining with friends who prefer to eat healthy.
Inexpensive but healthy champorado. Better than most pricier ones I’ve tasted in restaurants. 👌🏻 lagi ako kumakain dito pag umuulan..sarap kasi ng champorado.. perfect for the weather..
Dined @ their Merville Branch with friends/officemates. Food are all yummy from appetizers, main courses to desserts. You'll be confuse on what will be your favorite :) Staff are very friendly and always greet you with warm welcome. Kudos to Sir Eric and staff!! We had a great time...till our next visit ;)
Their staff and service is superb! Their dinuguan with puto is very delicious! I tried their crispy pata as well and it’s crispy and tasty! There was a week that I ate here 3 times.
On a sunny day, this is a very bright place, with overpowering light coming in from glass windows that make up an entire wall. For someone with sensitive eyes like me, this took some adjusting at first, and so I was hoping the food was good at least. It was!
The dishes we ordered did not disappoint. We chose those that had 3 stars beside their names on the menu, indicating that they were probably bestsellers.
We started with French Onion Soup, which was ok as far as French Onion Soups go. But since I order this same soup in almost every resto I go to that serves it, I can say it was good, but not the best I've tasted. But it was still satisfying.
The Adobong Puti was not very maputi (white), but given that there are a dozen different ways to cook and present adobo, I thought this was still a very pleasant version--with crispy bits and lots of garlic, the way I like it. We also enjoyed the Arroz ala Cubana, which had a generous serving of its famous ingredients--ground pork, fried egg, fried plantains, and rice. Note: There is no MSG in any of their dishes, which is plus points in my book!
On a less bright day, I would have been able to appreciate the very charming interiors and furnishings a lot more. I look forward to going back, maybe in the late afternoon or evening when the sun has gone down.
I highly recommend this place.. The ambiance is so cozy and their service is excellent. Their aligue pasta is a must try too.. Defunitely the best!👍👍
81 Cafe and Bistro: Definitely a highly recommended restaurant down South. Excellent food, ambiance and service. One of the best Sisig ever, Aligue pasta, Spinach ravioli and Adobo sa puti are something you will crave for once you tasted it. 😋😍 #81eats

AMBIANCEGranted, for most of our visit we had the place to ourselves, but the interiors (think mismatched chairs and tables but in a specific color palette) and lovely view of the church across the mall gave 81 Cafe & Bistro a relaxing feel. Thoroughly charmed by the little knickknacks on their display shelves and dining tables up-cycled from old sewing machines (the pedals still work!).
FOOD
Mozzarella sticks: delicious, though when served their bright color had some of us joking they resembled carrot sticks. (Note on several of their serving platters: they come with built-in spots for dips and sauces)
Pork sisig: It was recommended we not share a serving because it was that good. That proved to be accurate. Crunchy and flavorful, no yucky rubbery bits to chew XD
Chorizas: Chopped up chorizo in their bed of oil—between both this and the sisig, be prepared to order more than a cup of rice
Margherita pizza: the crust wasn't overwhelming nor too thin.
Pork belly: soft and also delicious
Brewed coffee: We're not connoisseurs, but my husband and I loved their coffee :)
Special mention: their Spicy Chilli Oil: I literally smeared this on everything I ate—from my rice to the sisig—and it added an amazing zing. I bought a bottle to take home.
SERVICE
Staff was courteous and answered questions on pizza toppings and entree ingredients well.
Overall we had good food in a relaxing ambiance—we'll definitely visit again! :)
My staff and I had our Christmas dinner here. Aside from the excellent food, the service was superb. We kept ordering sangria to go with our roast chicken and sisig and the staff was so accommodating, efficient and helpful.
I really loved everything about the place! The food, serving size, ambience, service - all perfect! Hands down best restaurant in the South!

Love this place. Excellent food, ambiance and service! It's perfect for family or friends get togethers.
I'd go all the way to the South for their Sangria and pasta! Carbonara noodles were made fresh from spinach-moringa and squash carrot. Healthy and delicious! Also tried the Mad Mark Pizza with ice cream. They were very generous with the toppings. And lastly, another favorite of mine and I must say, a must-try, the Baked Norwegian Salmon with Olio Pasta.
I definitely recommend this place!!!
It’s a great foodie place with healthy options. ( No msg and homegrown recipes). The ambience is cozy ( good for dates) and the service is friendly. We tried their sinigang and baked salmon which was delish. Will come back to try their famous sisig and gambas!
The food is so good especially their Crispy Pata, Sisig and Baby Back Ribs. Service is really excellent, staffs have plenty of smile in their pockets and they are very accomodating and the owner as well, you'll be back for sure. 81 Cafe and Bistro is a must-try resto, holiday season is food season and 81 Cafe and Bistro is the place where you can find it! ;)
Super cozy place to eat in the south. Accessible from Alabang west service road south super highway. Just right off Total going to Alabang hills. I love the decor!!!! But most of all the food is super good and the price is very affordable. Their crispy pata is the best! Crispy on the outside but soft on the inside. They even had a birthday cake for our celebrant. Staff and owners were superb. What more can you ask for!
I've already been here a couple times, the first time I had their version of Spaghetti and meatball, which actually turned out to be my favorite, but going a second time I had their Sisig and Crispy Pata, and let me say that if you are looking for crispy sisig and crispy pata, this is the place to get it from. Right off the bat, both are delicious, and the Crispy Pata especially was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. I consider myself a person that likes to eat out a lot, and every time the first drink I will get is an iced tea, and if you like iced tea like me, you will love the iced tea at this place also, it's the best!
My dinner at 81 Cafe and Bistro was a night to remember. The food was excellent, crispy pata was the best I've had in Manila. The ice tea is the best if not the best I've had in my young life. The ambiance is resplendent in that the tables were atop Singer sewing machines of the 1950's whilst viewing the beautiful church of Alabang Hills. 81 is the complete package food ambiance and Service. I will keep coming back for more.
A couple of weeks ago, my Aunts from Laguna came to visit and since the beautiful Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish (which is on their itinerary) is just across Madison Galeries, it made perfect sense for us to try out the new restaurants there. What caught my eye was 81 Cafe. They have a breezy, relaxing interiors and a magnificent view of the Church and Don Jesus Blvd. The sight of trees and suburb below is very relaxing. It also offers a great sunset view.
Since it was merienda 'thyme' we decided to have the following Continental and Filipino favorites with a twist:
Mad Marks Pizza - this is their take on another restaurant's famous Pizza (Di'Marks) it tastes exactly the same, with an overload of toppings. From olives, processed cheese, pepperoni, bell peppers. Their version is more flavorful though. 'Olive' this pizza alot!
Chicken Sandwich - as you can see from the photo, this is a case of an overload of chicken salad filling. You can practocally get another set of sandwich and stuff it with the excess filling. It was tasty and bursting with Chicken flavor. I wish it can with a side salad or pommes frites. No big 'Dill', i'm OK without it, but it would be a welcome addition.
Beef Lasagna - another winning dish. The melty cheesy goodness is bursting from the seams! It reminded me of the 90's defunct restaurant 'Cafe Elyssey' version. Meaty, concentrated tomato flavor is prominent.
Pancit Canton - they used 'malunggay' noodles on this dish. Vegetables are used generously. We were told it would be a less meat version so we were surprised to see chunks of liver on the pancit. Serving was good enough for two. It was a little salty.
Korean Wings - for the price, established wing joints have a formidable contender in 81 Cafe. They sure did not 'Wing' it. The skin was crisp, meat juicy and the sauce generously covered the wings.
Service was quick, place was cool. Perfect for a lazy afternoon snack. We like that the staff was courteous and friendly.
Keep going back to 81 Cafe. Addicted to their Callos, Beefsteak, the best Crispy Pata and imagine fully loaded pizza served with Icecream! Can't wait to try the rest of the food in the menu! Comfort food at its best!👍🏻
Lovely interior, food was amazing. Try their arroz ala cubana, pizza, salmon and their desserts too! Mango shake was fresh and delicious. Coffee well brewed and the owners are very accommodating as was the staff!
Excellent restaurant and great food to pair! The sisig and the mad mark pizza is a must try! The callos was also delicious! Will definitely come back here!
