Great Chinese food, the only issue here is that the servers often get our orders mixed up but the sweet and sour pork is very good as well as their salt and pepper squid and dumplings. Overall a good dining experience and good food all around.
For me, the best dimsum / chinese restaurant down south. Prices are above average but it's definitely worth it.
Their dimsum are good and generous, not much extenders. Make sure to get their hakaw and siomai.
For the mains, must try are hot prawn salad, peking duck, lapu lapu, crispy noofles with seafood, spareribs.
Service is really good as well. Waiters are attentive and very friendly.

Great food and excellent service. The spinach tofu with crispy mushroom are simply the best. Thankyou Lhei for the very assistive service. 👍👍👍
This is a fine dining chinese restaurant, with an elegant set, up so make sure you come in your smart casual attire. Highly recommended is their hot prawn salad,I never would have realized that fried prawn would go well with fruits.
For my Dad's birthday, we decided to go to our fave chinese restaurant. Phoenix court has never failed to satisfy our craving for dimsum.
Their ala carte is excellent but the eat-all-you-can-Dimsum is the best. It is worth every centavo paid.
All items served were delicious but tonight's standout are the Special Pork Bun, Barbecue Pork Pastry, & Butter Cream Bun.
Their service is also a big plus on why we deemed this resto as one of our go to places. They always made us feel welcomed and our glasses of water are promptly filled.
Phoenix Court is a posh restaurant in Bellevue Manila serving Chinese cuisine. The place is huge with elegant interior set-up.

All the dishes we had were flavorful and tasty. If I will to choose my favorites, I’ll go for Pork Bun and Deep-fried Prawn Ball with Salted Egg Yolk. Both dishes were appetizing and addicting.
#ilovetoeatph 😃❤️
Stopped by for dinner and it was quite empty. I was surprised that there was a dress code for the restaurant, smart casual. We were seated and were given tea and then ordered. We ordered some yum cha to start then shared some mains.
The siu mai was decent. The Yangchow fried rice was also really good. The salted egg prawns was the best dish of the night. The mango caramel drink was delicious but hard to suck up the straw with the sago at the start cause it was really thick.
The food is quite nice here but a bit pricy.
I’ve only been to Phoenix Court once but I already consider it as one of my favorite chinese restaurants! Although the food is a bit pricey, it is definitely worth every penny considering its taste and the resto’s location. Looking forward to dining here again.
Here are some must-try’s:
Roasted Suckling Pig with Jelly Fish Salad, Home-made Beancurd with Crabmeat and Fish Roe, Deepfried Cuttlefish
My favorite Chinese restaurant! Always celebrate my birthday here cause I love their food. Dimsum and ala carte dishes are always so good my favorites are the Siomai, fried prawn dumpling salad, chicken feet, tofu and crab, salted fish fried rice, and salt and pepper squid. And mango sago for dessert with a little fresh milk 👌🏻
Food quality is top notch. Their Eat All You Can deals are great for a budget meal in a fine dining setting. Could be a 4.5 if not for the service which was a bit inconsistent. Overall, I love this restaurant.
Phoenix Court is one of the awesome finds in South. It is located at the Second Floor, Tower Wing, The Bellevue Manila, North Bridgeway, Filinvest City, Muntinlupa City. This place is a Chinese Cuisine restaurant that is pocket friendly with satisfying dishes. Find out below the mouth-watering plus must try dishes of Phoenix Court of Bellevue Hotel:
Pork Buns of Phoenix Court is the “Pork buns of the South”. It is definitely the apple of my eye amongst the dishes. The filling is tasty, meaty and superb! The awesomeness of these buns is still there even if it’s cool. I would absolutely recommend this to all pork buns lover. Top favorite!
Deep Fried Shrimp Balls (Salted Egg yolk) is another favorite. The texture is great; the taste is awesome with the right amount of seasonings. Another perfectly recommendable dish because it’s not that oily and perfect to partner with rice.
Pork Siomai and Hakaw are my all-time-Chinese comfort food. These two are meaty and tasty. And addition to that they are both satisfying even without soy sauce.
Two Variety Chicken: The Stuffed and Szechuan. The crispiness of the chicken strips was perfect. It’s flavorful and delicious. The presentation was really amazeballs!
Pan Fried Tenderloin with black pepper was colorful! Great presentation as well! What I loved about this dish was the texture; it’s juiciness and tenderness of its meat.
Brocolli with Scallops and Egg white is creamy but tasty especially when you eat the scallops with broccoli.
Fried Rice with Roasted Duck is absolutely my-sulit-meal. And it’s perfect to pair to all the dishes served.
Of course to end the excellent dining experience, you should not forget to try their Buco Jello or Whole Chilled Coconut Pudding. It is served inside a coconut husk. Not that sweet but definitely refreshing.
Aside from these, they have friendly staffs with exceptional service that is truly worth to come back! Overall, I am very satisfied. Definitely a must try. High five!
One of the gems you will find at the 5 star Bellevue Manila Hotel is this authentic Chinese Cuisine restaurant Pheonix Court. It is the only fine dining Chinese resto in the city offering a creative take on the Chinese Cuisine with their freshly made dimsums, signature entrees and starters. True to that statement, we actually had an exceptional service from the staff and had an awesome dining experience at the luxury VIP section of the restaurant.
During our visit, we had the following appetizers: Pork Buns and Two Variety Chicken. The pork buns looked quite simple but it immediately became the crowd favorite upon tasting it. The outer layer had a crusty flaky texture, mildly sweet and it is stuffed with pork asado flavored fillings. It was really good and appetizing I had three pieces myself. The two variety chicken chicken is plated nicely and looks appetizing as well. I actually didn't thought it was chicken at first because of the odd texture which is slightly crunchy and and soft but it complements well with the greens in the middle.
We also had some more starters. The Dimsums they offered us were the pork siomai and the hakaw. The Pork Siomai for me is fresh and tasty. You'd notice the difference from the siomai you buy that were commercially produced from stalls when you try this. The Hakaw is equally outstanding. It was stuffed perfectly and it was really filling. Though I only noticed the chili soy sauce were lacking spiciness, I think the dumplings are still good on its own.
Some of the mains we had were the Steamed Pampano with Black Bean sauce, Sauteed Broccoli with Scallops and Egg White, Spinach Bean Curd with Crispy Mushroom, Deep Fried Prawn Ball with Salted Egg Yolk, and the Pan Fried Beef Tenderloin with Black Pepper. These mains were paired with Fried Rice with Roasted Duck which is also good even on its own. What for me is the best amongst the dishes is the Spinach Bean Curd with Crispy Mushroom. Great combination of crunchy and soft textures with a savory sauce. This is a tofu on a whole new level. Also would like to commend the Sauteed Broccoli with Scallops and Egg White which is a bit light and creamy flavor - loved the fresh crunch from the broccoli that added texture. The beef tenderloin is actually too soft but still flavorful. I think this is how they cook it differently so you can easily eat the meat anyway. The Deep Fried Prawn Ball with Salted Egg Yolk had a nice appeal and timely.
Lastly, we were served the Whole Chilled Coconut Pudding. After savoring the meaty entrees, this cleanses the palate very well. I loved the soft jelly like coconut meat poured inside the coconut. It is refreshing and very light.
Overall, as I have mentioned earlier, the dining experience is outstanding. Loved the dishes especially the pork buns. A must try for all indeed. Kudos!

I've only eaten in their breakfast buffets as it's always free when ever I book a night there.
Staff is very friendly and people don't judge you even if your in your pajamas.
The selection of food though is limited. It's just one row
My favorite is yogurt with cereal, bread, cheese, fried rice, egg and Longganisa

Oh, Dimsum!
Product: Yet another restaurant that's so far away from me but one that I look forward to coming back to someday is Phoenix Court. I still think about those Dimsums and those scrumptious pork buns. The thing about Phoenix Court's food is that they don't have that "umay" factor where you get tired of the taste of your food after a few bites because of how rich its flavors are. It gives off that authentic Chinese food taste and that's something you need to understand when you eat here.
We started off with these adorable little pork buns that would make any hungry tummy grumble. They looked like a normal bread you can buy from your local bakeries but once you have that first bite, everything you ever expected will change. I'm sorry but.. timhowhat?? These pork buns are the best I ever had so far. The sweetness of the sauce isn't overwhelming because it didn't lack the serving of meat inside which balances everything out.
Next comes the dumplings, the Hakaw and the Pork Siomai. With or without soy sauce, they will make sure to satisfy your Chinese food cravings. The serving size is good enough to make you full so make sure to share to save some space for more delicious food.
I also liked the Deep-Fried Prawn Ball with Salted Egg Yolk, this is probably the dish with the strongest flavor among the ones we had that night which is why it goes best with rice. This dish got me because I thought it was chicken but what I had was even better so I have nothing negative to say whatsoever.
The Pan-Fried Beef Tenderloin with Black Pepper is a dish I'm quite familiar with when visiting Chinese restaurants. The beef is supposed to be tender and easy to eat and slice but it always comes in different recipes. I definitely liked how this one was made. Don't be frightened by the black pepper in the name, it was just what made the dish even better.
The Chicken was also really good! The skin was so thin yet so crispy and tasty. For an appetizer, I would say it is already big enough to make you full or to be considered a part of the mains as well.
For our dessert we had the Whole Chilled Coconut Pudding. Basically, frozen coconut jelly. It wasn't too sweet so if you're not a sweet tooth and love the natural taste of coconut, you will really love this dish.
Venue: Phoenix Court's interior really shouts Chinese restaurant with the setup of family round tables and the displays inside the place itself. The servers are also highly trained, they are very attentive; they notice everything like when you have no more food or water and they're also very easy to call even if we were inside a private room. The service here is quite admirable. I completely understand why families would want to keep coming back here.
Located at The Bellevue Manila's tower wing, Phoenix Court offers authentic Cantonese dishes at prices that won't break the bank which is unusual for a hotel establishment. This is probably one of the major draw factor of Phoenix Court because their dishes come in small to large sharing portions at competitive prices. Even the small serving can easily feed 2-4 people which is a plus! Our family are regulars here during special occassions or Sunday night dinners.
Last Friday night saw me dining at Phoenix Court again together with other foodies. We had the following:
Pork Buns - irregularly shaped but 'siksik' don't let the outside apperance fool you. Their pork buns are filled with deliciously savory meat and the sweet crust compliments each other. Perfect snack. I hope they offer these on a nice packaging to go for those impromptu take out orders. They surely rival those with michelin stars.
Shrimp Hakaw - plump and filled with shrimp.
Pork Siomai - hardly any extenders, this is pure meat. Dash a bit of soy sauce for some flavor.
Steamed Pampano wih Black Bean Sauce - fresh, clean flavorful fish. The black bean tausi gives it an earthy taste.
Steamed brocolli with scallops and egg white - another winning vegetable dish, the brocolli still has that fresh crunch which i love. The light and fluffy egg whites are soft and fluffy which is a nice contrast to the brocolli.
Fried Prawn Balls with Salted Egg Yolk - crunchy real prawns covered in grainy salted egg yolk. This is a dish the kids would lap over! Fried, crunchy and oh so flavorful. A little more sauce would not hurt though.
Pan fried beef tenderloin in black pepper - soft and tenderized beef, perfect with the fried rice they served.
Coconut Pudding - a whole coconut with soft coconut meat resembling nata and jelly. Melt in your mouth soft and very refreshing. A nice palate cleanser at a heavy delicious meal.
Tonight's visit is a great reintroduction to a family favorite and would love to revisit again. And the pork buns are enough reason. Before leaving, Don't forget to have you parking tickets validated. Recommended.
Disclaimer: sponsored dinner by The Bellevue Manila.
Majority of Chinese restaurants have distinct flavors on their dishes. At times it's overly salty or full of msg. I found this restaurant refreshing since their dishes are light and for me relatively healthier.
Two Variety Chicken (Php 590) chicken chunks, thinly sliced string green mango and house blend sauce that was surrounded by crispy chicken strips. Delicious!
Hakao (Php 220) siksik sa shrimp! sarap! One of the most expensive hakao I've ever had.
Pork and Shrimp Dumpling (Php 178) same with hakao you know they scrimp on the ingredients.
Pork Buns - I love this! It's filled with pork filling but it just need to change the shape of the pork bun. You're not sure what it is in first glance.
Sauteed broccoli with scallops and egg white - It might be bland at first just make sure to get all the ingredients in one bite.
Deep-fried prawn ball with salted egg yolk - I love this. It wasn't too oily and had light flavor of salted egg.
Pan-fried beef tenderloin with black pepper - juicy and tender beef slices that was perfect with fried rice with roasted duck.
Whole chilled coconut pudding - they need to add more crunch or texture to it. Like coconut
bits or other fresh fruits.
Serving size for most dishes are perfect for sharing and their service was impeccable.
Phoenix Court the flagship Asian restaurant of Bellevue Manila specifically a Chinese restaurant that serves a regional Cantonese cuisine.
Luxurious modern interiors, like the temperature of the room which is not that cold.
The dishes served were classics and some items with some modern spin.
*Two Variety Chicken ( stuffed and Szechuan)- love the skin on this dish both on the stuffed and Szechuan variety both were paoer thin yet crisoy reminiscent of the roasted duck skin. The stuffed was version has this fishcake texture and taste and was very impressive. The Szechuan was a salad like with snippets of apples and green mapples very refreshing but for me the lacking element was the heat or spiciness.
*Pork Buns- love the texture of the bun ,the filling was stocky ,tasty and a favorite.
*Deep fried shrimp balls with salted egg yolk- although I'm not a fan of the salted egg trend,I like this dish well cooked prawn not that oily, the salted egg infusion does not bring that saturating feel ,seasoned just right.
*Dimsum, siomai and Hakaw- siomai was meaty with ebiko on top a different take on the popular dimsum item. The hakaw was awesome I love the clean taste and the wholeness of the shrimp with no extenders.
*Pan Fried Tenderloin with black pepper- beef dish was decent yet I find it a bit dry to my liking.
*Spinach beancurd with crispy mushrooms-
an extravaganza of textures ,soft, spongy, crispy confined in one dish,I like this new take on the tofu and a new twist given to its flavor.
*Brocolli with scallops and egg white- a bit too creamy for me ,but the addition of the conpoy bits (dried scallops) balanced it.Love the crunchiness of the brocolli and quality of the scallops.
*Steamed Pampano in Black Bean Sauce- I'm not a pampano fan,tho this time I became a convert well cooked fish,no fishy taste. The black bean taste add a wonderful dimension into the dish reminiscent of the ones I'm having when I'm in Hong Kong.
*Fried rice with roasted duck - this rice is already a dish on its own I can eat this even without other viands .Tasty ,comforting and well seasoned.
*Dessert Buco Jello- coconut flavored jello inside a coconut husk .refreshing way to end the meal.
Service was exceptional ,top notch.
A true lauriat experience.
Overall a Happy Place rating .Highly recommended.☺🙂☺
This place is totally great for families or groups. They have a whole dining hall and some rooms for private events. Food wise, everything was delicious and was served in generous amount. My personal favorite would be the PORK BUNS (OMG!! They've got the best ever tasting pork buns I've ever had) SPINACH BEAN CURD WITH CRISPY MUSHROOMS. Their service is exemplary. They've got friendly staffs who would be in a hurry to address your concerns. I'll definitely consider coming back here with my family and friends.
P.S. They have DEEP FRIED PRAWNS WITH SALTED EGG YOLK!!!
Phoenix Court offers a dimsum-all-you-can promo and we got a chance to try it during our stay at The Bellevue Manila. We got to try a lot of dimsums and my favorite were Xiao Long Bao and Special Baked Pork Bun. The manager recommended us their best-selling whole chilled coconut pudding for dessert. And yes, it was a perfect dessert! All in all, we enjoyed our lunch at Phoenix Court. The staff was courteous and attentive.
Food - 5/5
Ambiance - 4/5
Service - 5/5
Price - 5/5
DIMSUM HEAVEN!! Their unlimited dimsum buffet is the definition of SULIT! The dumplings are huge and everything tastes so good! Also this place has my favorite chicken feet
Had an amazing dinner here with family during our 3 days 2 nights stay at The Bellevue Manila and this Chinese restaurant has exceeded my expectation for its price and service.
The food they served for 2-3 people (is actually good for 3-4 people) or they give big serving. The food taste good, and if you are staying or in-house guests of the hotel, The Bellevue Manila, you could actually get a 20% off.
My bill was so cheap! For 1 soup + 1 dim sum + 2 main course meal + 1 fried rice +1 dessert + 3 fresh juice drinks only costs me Php2,500 (Imagine that). For these orders, in other Chinese restaurants, this could be double. Their ambiance is so nice and the staff are polite.

Its take too long for food to be served. The place though is well lit up and its spacious making room for a little privacy of conversation which was a plus for us because we had dinner for a business meeting. There is nothing really special with their food but its ok.
Good chinese food! Kinda similar to Gloriamaris. Liked their assorted cold cuts, wintermelon soup with crab meat and scallops, beef tenderloin with black pepper, 2way chicken, steamed live lapulapu and prawns in garlic sauce. Coconut pudding is addicting. 😊
The food was amazing.. the steamed lapu-lapu is very delicious.. their salt and pepper pork is not "nakakauta", u can eat it even the fatty part.. the portion of their yang chow fried rice is huge.. its actually good for 5 pax.. the service (im speechless).. customer service was amazing as well..

A few months back, Rina, Baby Rain and I enjoyed a short staycation at The Bellevue Hotel in Alabang. I was completely blown away when I found out that it wasn't an international chain, and that it was locally owned. One of the highlights of our stay was the incredible meal we had at Phoenix Court. Our meal was so awesome, I felt it deserved a sequel.
Ever since we learned about their eat all you can dimsum promo we have been wanting to try it out. We finally did when we celebrated my niece's birthday. There were so many choices. We got yangchow fried rice, efu noodles, hot and sour soup, crab and corn soup, siomai, hakaw and several different kinds if fried dumplings plus a pork barbecue pastry. We loved and finished everything except the pastry which was not to our liking. However everything else tasted we absolutely loved. We hope to be back soon. The Bellevue Hotels & Resorts
Best Chinese food in alabang in my opinion. A little bit pricey but worth it for big groups. Enjoyed the experience..........................
Alright, so first to arrive were the Beef with broccoli and yang chow fried rice. Good Lord, the beef was so tender. Next batch that arrived was the sweet and sour pork, e fu noodles, roasted crispy chicken with szechuan garlic, and the steamed lapulapu fillet with soya sauce. From this batch, the one that popped out to me was the pork and the lapulapu (esp. If you eat this fish with the herbs topped on it - I think it was coriander). So good. In the middle of the meal, the duck arrived. It was served two ways - the first one was already pre-wrapped and the second one was for you to wrap in lettuce. I ate a lot of these I tell ya. Shit it was heaven in my mouth (that's what she said). We also ordered dimsum. Got some hakao, vegeteble dumplings, xiao long bao, steamed water cress dumpling. All of them were great but the one that stood out to me was the water cress. I ordered four of those!! Ended our meal with some fresh buko pudding. Refreshing, not sweet. Forgive me if I didn't go into detail with every dish we ate on that day. There was a lot to process. All I can say is that I enjoyed every bite of it. Not to mention, I heard that this resto does not put MSG in their food. So imagine, we left the place with our stomachs full and happy (minus the nausea). I highly recommend this place if you want quality chinese food. This is one of the best chinese restaurants in the metro.
Phoenix Court is a family favourite for Chinese Food. The service is excellent-warm, attentive staff. On regular weekends, the restaurant is quiet and so it is an excellent place to have a relaxed conversation.
The food is on the rich side- "comfort food". Recommendations include: 3-way duck, Seafood Ho Fan, Fried Eggplant, Xiao Long Bao, Coconut Jelly for dessert.
The value for money is excellent- normally spend under P2,000 for 4-5 people who leave extremely full.
I had a wonderful time dinner dining experience with my niece, we super enjoyed their Buffet of various kinds of specialties like their crunchy beef strips with a twist taste , Beef Brocolli, Lengua, sweet and sour pork, breaded pork , chicken, and different kinds of Dimsum - everything was totally amazing taste and texture... spices are really kicking of every bite... very good for big group like with your family and friends
We are creatures of habit, so if we keep coming back to a restaurant and ordering cold cuts, peking duck with the second way minced with lettuce, sweet and sour pork, steamed live lapu-lapu, salted fish fried rice and mango sago almost every time we go there, it must be good. Service is excellent.
I ate here for my friend’s birthday and we had a feast. We all had a dimsum buffet and we all died from how full we were. Despite the fact that it was a dimsum buffet, there was still so much to order from. One thing I noticed though was that almost everything in their dimsum menu had shrimp. I had so much shrimp that I tried to order another dimsum which I thought didn’t have any shrimp but there ended up being shrimp. I have no problem with shrimp, I actually love shrimp, but what if someone’s allergic and they cant eat most of the food. Ambiance is great and lots of space.
Love the food and the service, but a bit turned off of the pricey menu.. but I think because they are inside Bellevue Hotel that's why they have a pricey menu.. over all its a fine restaurant for the rich and for family reunions as well :)

Great food
Ordered my classic line up
Beef - black pepper
Pork - sweet and sour
Chicken
Fish - lapis lapu with garlic
Beef fried rice
Best Chinese resto down south
Value - great value given the quality
Overall rating. 9/10
My family considers this the best Chinese restaurant in the South and our go to resto when we crave for dimsum! The price for their eat-all-you-can dimsum buffet (around php650) is affordable and relatively cheap compared to others. They also have a good variety of steamed and fried dimsum. The restaurant does not scrimp on quality (nor quantity). Moreover, choices for soup, vegetables, rice, and dessert are included in their dimsum-all-you-can menu. We especially love their hakao, prawn dumpling salad, fried salmon taro puff, and their chilled mango sago cream:)
We've tried their Peking duck as well as their ala carte all you can which was not as impressive. Their specialty is really dimsum.
To avail of the buffet, you must be at least 2pax. Service is usually quick and the place is pretty big.
We've been craving for dimsums for the past few weeks so today we finally decided to feast at Phoenix Court in Bellevue Manila.
I've been hearing good reviews about this place but I was quite skeptical at first because dimsums, especially Xiao Long Bao is hard to replicate. Having lived in mainland China for almost 6 years, I know what a real Xiao Long Bao is.
Okay, so we ordered ourselves an All Course Buffet which includes Soup, Dimsum, Main Course, Rice and Noodles and Dessert. There are other dishes included on the list that we weren't able to try because we were already too full to even think of it.
Below is the list of food that we have ordered:
Main Course
-Kong Po Chicken
-Beef Tenderloin with Black Pepper
-Stir Fried Beef with Chinese Leek
-Chilled Jelly Fish Salad with Century Egg
-Deep Fried Pork Rib
Dumplings
-2 Steamed Prawn Dumpling Hakaw
-2 Steamed Pork and Shrimp Siomai
-2 Xiao Long Bao
-2 Water Cress Dumpling
-4 Chicken Feet
-2 Deep Fried Prawn Dumpling Salad
-2 Deep Fried Mango Seafood
Rice
-Yang Chow Fried Rice
-Dried Fish Fried Rice
Soup
-Corn Soup
Desserts
-Chilled Mango and Sago
-Chilled Almond Beancurd w/ Sago
-Chilled Black Gulaman with Lychee
All the food that was served to us were perfectly cooked. Their main course line up is superb especially the Deep Fried Pork Ribs.
The dumplings they serve here is the real deal and the Xiao Long Bao to my delight is the one that I've been craving for the longest time. Finally ,I know where to go when I need an authentic Xiao Long quick fix.
We really did not want to order some rice at first but good thing we did because the Yang Chow Fried Rice is too delicious to be ignored.
My favorite dessert was the Chilled Mango Sago, very refreshing.
My overall food experience was great, they've actually exceeded my expectations. In terms of the place and service, exclusive place and the service was great. We left the place very happy.
Price: All Course 850++ (Adults) and half the price for kids 6-12 years old. 5 year old and below (Free).
Located at the second floor of the Tower Wing, Phoenix Court offers authentic Chinese cuisine, and has a seating capacity of 250 guests. They also have four private rooms that can accommodate up to 25 people. The place looks like your typical upscale Chinese joint, but cleaner. I particularly love the large mural of a phoenix splashed on a divider that partially hides the bar from view.
They have an All You Can Eat Dimsum priced at only P650++, a steal compared to others who offer the same. Children from 6 to 12 years old are charged just half the price, and those who are 5 years old and below eat free. Aside from this, Phoenix Court also has another eat all you can proffering---Eat All You Can All Course---which comprises several main dishes together with dim sum dishes and desserts. This one is priced at P850++ which gives real value for your money.
Phoenix Court serves ala carte dishes but for that night, we indulged in their seemingly never-ending parade of dim sum delicacies.
They have the usual Yang Chow Fried Rice, but you can also go for their Salted Fish Fried Rice or Ee fu Noodles for carbs.
If you're hankering for some steamed dim sum, the Pork and Shrimps Dumpling Siomai is always a popular choice. You may want to skip the Xiao Long Pao, though. Sadly, the wrapper was too thick and sticky for consumption; it tore easily, leaving the whole thing dry since the soup spilled out from it before you can lift it off the bamboo steamer.
If you love deep-fried dumplings, both their Prawns Dumpling Salad and Mango Seafood Roll Mayonaise (spelling theirs) are pretty good, especially the latter. It has this acidulous taste that meshes well with the fried coating, compelling you to take another scrumptious bite.
Another good option is this Barbecue Pork Bun Siopao, kind of like your asado siopao but tastier and a lot more delectable. I could eat two or three more of these, even with all the dim sum I've already stuffed into my mouth.
For dessert, of course I had to get the Butchi. I always get Butchi. And I was not disappointed with this one. They didn't skimp on the filling, and the warm comforting taste leaves a happy feeling as I take a look around at all the plates we've emptied. After a while, I decided to get the Chilled Mango Sago (another favorite) as well. Ahh, the cool contrast left me smiling as I scooped out the last spoonful. I would have gone for another round of this slightly acerbic yet creamy concoction if I weren't about to burst at the seams.
There were actually a lot more dishes, some of which I got to take photos of like the Pork Spareribs with Taosi (see cover photo) and Water Cress Dumpling, but didn't get to taste anymore. One particular dish I regret not trying was the Barbecue Pork Pastry which earned raves from the whole table. That is the first on my list when I return for their unlimited dim sum.
This all you can eat dimsum is priced at only P650++, a steal compared to others who offer the same. All the more reason to visit this place, don't you think?
Needless to say, we went back to B Hotel after that delicious dinner fully sated and satisfied.
Tales From The Tummy

During our recent getaway to The Bellevue Manila, we dined at Phoenix Court, their in house Chinese restaurant located in the modern Tower Wing. Helmed by Malaysian born Chef Cheong Kwan Loong, his heritage and years of experience is evident through the dishes that he prepares.
Not to be missed is the floor to ceiling phoenix mural near the entrance of the restaurant.
The restaurant has quite a long list of dishes on its menu, from Singaporean and Malaysian to Szechuan and Cantonese. Surprisingly, dimsum is also available for order during dinner.Chinese food is best shared, similar to Filipino food, good thing there was a number of us so we got to order more dishes to try.
Their soups are available in single orders as well as for sharing so we got a couple to try. Bak Kut Teh, Clear Shrimp Wanton Soup and Traditional Hot and Sour Soup. All the single servings were good enough to share between two people. I liked the plump shrimp wantons poised in the light and flavorful soup.
Roasted Duck Hongkong Style: The only dish Lauren wanted turned into one of the best dishes of the night. Crisp skin encasing tender and well smoked meat and slathered with a delectable savory sauce. Piece after piece was taken and before we knew it only a few pieces were left.
I mentioned earlier that they also have dimsum during dinner so we got a couple namely Crystal Prawn Dumpling/Hargao and Scallop Dumpling. Each dimsum piece was bursting with crisp and plump shrimps and encased in a thin flour wrapper. The only difference is the little bit of scallop on top of the later.
Deep Fried Prawns with Cereal: Not quite the cereal prawns I was expecting. Deshelled prawn balls, deep fried in batter before being rolled in the slightly sweet cereal. I would have skipped the batter to get more of the flavor of the cereals into the prawns.
Poached Hainanese Hong Kong Chicken: Although not like the usaul Hainanese Chicken we are used to, this one has the chicken all covered in ginger and leeks giving it a strong zing. It nonetheless was delicious, chicken meat that was both tender and flavorful probably owing to the fattier imported chicken.
Steamed Prawn Balls in Garlic: Served in a large bamboo basket. The shrimps were fresh and really absorbed the flavors of the garlic, leeks and chives very well. Another winner for Phoenix Court.
Braised Duck with Rose Petals: This one was part of their Floral Fest which included a number of dishes that incorporated edible flowers. The heady and fragrant smell of roses wafted through the air once this dish was laid on the table. A saucy dish that called for lots of plain rice to sop up the sauce.
Fried Fresh Lapu-Lapu with Mango: I always wondered how they do this with the fish. The sweet mango sauce complimented the flaky meat very well.
