Everything is freshly made And healthy!
Nice and cozy place to dine in. Staff are corteuous and accommodating. Food is superb and excellent, better than other greek and mediterranean restos we've been to. Though their menu offering are much pricier, but you get what you paid for - an awesome good deal!
Glad to have Cyma back in Alabang. I highly recommend the Prawns & Shellfish pasta.
Ordered their Greek Spring Salad, the vegies were fresh, the kalamata olives and feta cheese used were of high quality. Plus the Lemon EVOO was really good. The Hummus and Tirokafteri were perfect in taste. Also ordered Pastisada and it was sooo good. The braised beef shanks were melt in your mouth and the sauce so flavorful. The Angus Beef Short Rib was also very good, and the presentation superb. And I must also add that their wine selection is great and the price just right. Souv is now one of my fave restos in the South.
AMBIENCE
The interior's colors are very Ateneo (a university reference) but this common at other Greek restaurants. We dined here a few times already and it was always chill and cozy. It's a hit and miss for us to get the timing right because at one visit, we were there around lunch time and had to wait in the queue for a very long time. Parking was relatively easy since the restaurant is at Molito. If no open parking slots are available, there's always the basement parking.
BEVERAGES
Cyma Iced Tea is a home-brew type that was very strong, sweet and heavy. At the same time, the Yogurt Shake had delicious yogurt and fruit rind on top; this was a first and I loved it!
FOOD
They excel in serving excellent and elegant food! Greek Nachos is on the top of my list because of how refreshingly addicting the toppings and soft pita are. I always want more and more! Kalamarakia and Solomos were fairly good while the Yiouvetsi was really heavy on the belly. My second fave would be the Meat Platter, an abundance of more fluffy pita and some well-cooked meat. Potatoes au jus deserve the same attention for its texture; really nice to chew into.
SERVICE
There was just one instance where the one who lined us up in the queue that busy lunch day appeared to be moody, and that's okay; we're all human. We could really see it in her slightly agitated face and we felt awkward speaking with her midway. Good thing she snapped out of it when it was time to go to our table. I hope she was able to resolve whatever it was that was bothering her that time. In spite of that, everyone else was very kind, checked on how our food was, and were quick on requests.
The food was amazing! I really enjoyed. I'm from the Mediterranean and I grew up there and this really brought back memories of home. And the service was really great and the food was fast!
We came in for dinner.
I’ve been wanting to try this resto ever since it opened in Molito Alabang and yesterday was THE day I was able to dine here.
The moment we stepped in the staff were courteous and very friendly, they were attentive and the we didn’t wait long before our food was served.
Although it took awhile before we ordered as this was my and my family’s first time to eat in a “greek” resto, we ordered: Lamb Chops (medium rare), Spring Greek Salad, Sticky Chicken and Pastisadas. So we had chicken, lamb and beef (pasta).
All the food was great, tasty and serving was enough for our family of 5 (though we ordered the large size for the pasta and salad). Our favourite dishes among what we ordered were the Lamb Chops and the Sticky Chicken.
The Lamb Chops in medium rare was perfect, although I dunno what it would taste like as ‘well-done’ but having it as medium rare it was tasty and chewy at the same time. The meat was so tender and it was easy to slice through.
The Sticky Chicken was very tasty, even without any sauce you can eat it on its own.
All in all I would rate my 1st experience eating at Souv! a 4 star, because there are still some food on their menu that I’d wanna try.
Sumptuous lunch! The service was quick and the staffs were very courteous especially to our needs. Over all dining experience was superb.
We had the 1) all meat platter and we chose the 2 combinations of chicken and lamb and boy oh boy was it one of the best meals! 2) we also had the baklava frozen yogurt and it did not disappoint 3) we absolutely loved their greek nachos!!! They’re all worth coming back for. ♥️
We were walking to Melt Grilled Cheesery when we came across this place. We waned to eat somewhere healthier and since this is a Greek place, we decided to give it a try. Food did not disappoint. Super good especially the pita with the dip. Will definitely bring my family here next time!
Actual rating is 4.4
We ordered their Moussaka, Cheese Saganaki, Dinner plate (roast chicken), Yogurt with EVOO+ salt, and Yogurt with Crumbled Baklava. Out of all the stuff we ordered, the yogurt with evoo salt was the best. We literally came back the next day to order yogurt to go. Crumbled baklava yogurt also tasted great, but we prefer the simpler one with evoo. Moussaka was really rich and yummy, mouthfeel's very similar to lasagna. I just noticed that it's a lot "wetter" than the usual moussaka. But hey, I'm a sucker for cheese, so I'm very much okay with Souv's moussaka. My partner hates eggplants, but he liked the moussaka. Cheese Saganaki tasted heavenly too. It tasted like truffle/ brie, and the bread that came with it was crisp on the outside with a mellow chew in the middle. Really delicious!!! The (small) letdowns were the potatoes au jus and the dinner plate. Chicken was dry, and so was the rice. It's forgivable since quinoa is quite tricky to cook, and the chicken was flavorful at least. I wish they'd improve the chicken, potatoes, and rice though. Potatoes au jus tasted dry too and microwaved...
Thank you Ivan for being such a great server! Serving time was super quick (around 10 mins), and it was a packed Saturday night. Great job! We will come back for another serving of Yogurt with EVOO, Angus Short Rib and maybe their pasta.
Service 5/5
Food 5/5
Ambiance 4/5 (too crowded you can hear the other table’s convo and it’s too hot)
The dishes we ordered were all so gooood.
Must order: Solomos, Souv Salad, and Greek Yoghurt with Baklava.
We were lined up at another restaurant that had a 1hr wait time, so we decided to walk around. We stumbled upon Souv!. They had a table available for our group so we decided to have dinner there instead.
They served our appetizer first, Cheese Saganaki (P495). All of us were pleasantly surprised upon first bite. The top of the cheese was crispy and the fig jam gave the right amount of sweetness to balance out the saltiness of the Mizitra (made with sheep & goats' cheese). We all concluded that we will go back just for this dish.
We also ordered the Meat Platter: All 3 (P1025). The menu said it was good for 2 people but when it arrived it looked liked it will serve 3-4 people. The All 3 consisted of Pork, Beef & Lamb. The cuts of meat were juicy and tender. It was cooked perfectly. The pita was rich, the salad and pickles were perfect sides to complement the richness of the meat. We could not even finish everything that was served but we felt full.
Dessert, we got the Ryzogalo: Lemon curd and candied lemon (P230) compared to rest of the meal this pales in comparison. It was just ok. It was the right sweetness but the rice pudding felt like it was undercooked a bit.
Will definitely go back here again and I will highly recommend this place to my friends.
We had the hummus, the super Souv salad, the seafood yiouvetsi, and the frozen greek yogurt with crushed baklava. Everything arrived on time and was done well, all of those dishes were delicious. The team was also accommodating of my dietary restrictions for GERD and gastritis, and I appreciated that they honored my requests. Our server Ivan was very attentive, too, so we definitely had a great experience. Looking forward to coming back soon!
