My first experience with South Pub was during a friend's birthday party. She had the whole place reserved and I can say that I had such a great time. The ambiance is great - the place is large enough to fit a fairly big sized group of friends (about 20-35 pax) and the music just adds to the fun and vibrant atmosphere. The drinks are also a must try. I tried a lot of the cocktail options and all packed quite the punch. The music + the alcohol + the homey atmosphere was such a hit with us friends and we've wanted to plan more birthday parties here since that night. So, if you're thinking of having a good time with your friends for a special occasion, I would HIGHLY recommend South Pub. 

My second experience introduced me to the delicious savory options that the resto/bar provides. I can name a couple of the dishes that stood out to me - the nachos, chicken wings, braised beef, and sisig rice are just some of its delicious options. Overall it's a great take on your classic comfort foods.

I can say that South pub is worth coming back to a 2nd, a 3rd, a 4th (and the list goes on!) time. From the delicious food, to the range of alcohol options, to the the warm ambiance, and even the accommodating staff  - everything was a hit. If you're looking to try something new in the south, South Pub should definitely be at the top of your list.

My first foodie event: I got invited to try out South Pub in Alabang last March with other fellow foodies, and I have the say the experience was great! South Pub is a restaurant that serves comfort food like nachos and grilled cheese sandwiches. With its cozy environment and vintage vibes, it’s potentially on its way to becoming a cool hangout spot. I went to South Pub Alabang branch in Commerce Center for lunch. The set up of the place is so casual and bright. We had the following dishes:

Well, my favorite will be the mushroom chicharon. This healthy snack was so good, flavorful and addictive. It’s just I wanted more of eating and eating the mushroom chicharon. Masarap!

I love the ambiance of this place. So clean and fun. The price are also great! Although their appetizers are small, maximum would be 2 persons for 1 appetizer. Their main course however (rice bowls) are big and really good for sharing! I love coming back here.

We curiously went here due tk the good reviews and I was enticed by their menu, ie mushroom burger.
Unfortunately the mushroom burger was unavailable so I went for option b which was fish and chips - but skipped that too because only dory was available.
So we got a marghareta pizza and bolognese, and tasted Juan Brew, their craft beer.
The food were yummy. The beer was just ok.
Wait staff were pretty busy at the time we visited so I guess it was hard to call their attention.

EVERYTHING ABOUT SOUTH PUB IS AMAZING. Servers are friendly, the food is delicious and very affordable.

We ordered the sisig, burger and steak! We loved all of it! Must try! Want to try the Alison soon! Good job. 👍

I ate the sisig and wow it was great and freaking spicy. I think I ate the Reaper chili? I don't really like spicy food but I would endure it for this sisig. It's that good.

We had an amazing time at the event held at Commer Center this was the 2nd stop for the event. We learned a few things about flat-lay through the master himself, Ej Bunag. 

During that time we were able to taste some of their dishes: 
Grilled Cheese Sandwich stuffed Sisig with tomato soup - one of my favorite dishes that we tried that day. The saltiness of sisig enhanced the flavor of tomato soup.  

Mushroom Chicharon - Who doesn't like fired mushrooms. 

Nachos (Php 270) - Freshly baked tortilla with ground beef, salsa and cheese sauce. An order of cocktail please. 

Mixed Berry Crumble - The warm temperature of the crumble mixed with the cold temperature of ice cream was really an interesting taste.

I wish I didn't leave so far away because now I find myself thinking about their Allison soup-and-sandwich combo. The Allison is your normal grilled cheese sandwich that married the all-time favorite Pinoy bar food called sisig to produce what looks like a monstrosity on paper but a choir of angels in your mouth and tummy. The tomato soup that goes with it gives you your vegetables for the day, so it's not too sinful. If you're gonna try one thing from South Pub, make it the Allison.

Attending Math Class is mentally tiring finally for our 2nd stop, we are going to eat at South Pub. from the name itself, they are selling an alcoholic drink. 

The Allison, Classic Grilled Cheese Sandwich with SISIG! this is best with Beer Pare!....

South Pub is undoubtedly the new place to be in Commerce Centre Alabang, this posh, Tita’s of Manila haven slash shopping complex just got a strong dose of street cred thanks to the suave, bar atmosphere. They have a wide range of local and foreign beer, liquors and spirits as well as delicious signature cocktails. While the cuisine that south pub offers still has a lot of familiar things like Crispy Pata and burgers they set themselves apart by making sure that they serve the dish in their own unique way.

The star of the show was their colossal Corned Crispy Pata which was brined for days before diving deep into the fryer. The result were crispy, golden brown skin which crackled deliciously in the mouth as well as a tender and bright pink exterior which is a result of the brining process. Its typical for Crispy Pata to be all about the crunchy skin but this one was all about the juicy meat. Try it with their spunky Dijon mustard sauce for a different twist or the old reliable sukang pinakurat.

The Allison Sandwich: Allison who was apparently one of their diners was the mastermind behind this sandwich. While drunk, she craved for a Grilled Cheese Sandwich and Sisig which are typicall hangover meals but had the bright idea of combining the two to simplify her life (especially at the state.) Thus the Allison was born and even the chefs found it delicious it made it to their menu. The sandwich itself didn’t taste like an experiment because the cheese and sisig actually complement each other. The sisig was smoky and meaty while the combination of cheeses was oozing with creaminess and savory flavor. Its wonderful with the Tomato Soup which was a nice addition to the dish, it brightened up the decadent flavors with its sour and aromatic taste.

Sisig Rice: I also really liked their sisig rice which was actually pretty simple in theory (fried rice mixed with sisig) but the magic of this dish is that its perfect ala carte as a meal and as a bar chow.

Another stellar dish was the Chipirones which is a spanish inspired dish consisting Baby Squid (Chipirones in spanish) lightly sauteed in its ink that’s resting on a bed of fried egg with a side of toast. The flavors were quite rustic and really emphasized on the delicate savory flavor of the squid. Top the bread with some of the squid and egg and open a cold bottle of beer and you’re set.

Spam and Cheese: This was probably the most underwhelming dish among all. The combination works but feels uninspired and basic. I suggest adding a twist to the usual deep fried spam “fries”

Overall I was pleased with my experience at South Pub. The atmosphere won half the battle as they really made sure to create a chill but sophisticated space that really feels like you’re in BGC even if you’re kilometers away without the hustle and bustle. I thought that food was well thought out and they really made sure to make typical bar chow much more exciting in a way that works. Their signature cocktails are an absolute must try too!

I am all out for anything with a 90's vibe to it. South Pub is no stranger to this. The name itself is simple, straightforward, and easily identifies what you are here for -- a good drink and some awesome food to go with it.

Chef Jinggoy Fernando is such a hands-on restaurateur. As far as knowing his menu inside and out, I appreciated the fact that he enjoys photographing the food they put forth as well. And their dishes are not just picture-worthy, they are over-the-top tasty as well!

The epic size of their Corned Crispy Pata was quite notable. All I want to do is just zoom in on all that crispy goodness! Savor that pinkish meat and crunchy skin with Dijon mustard or soy vinegar dips. Forget other crispy pata versions you've tried, Corned Crispy Pata is the new way to go here in the South!

Speaking of epic proportions, they serve Spatchcock Chicken too! This is sous vide style chicken, butterflied to create that big portion, and marinated in a sort of inasal concotion of soy vinegar and lemon grass. I like the crispy skin but this could be finished off better with a smothering of chicken oil on top to prevent the chicken from going dry.

From all that viral talk about salmon and risottos, I now know where you can get one of the best risottos in the South! Check out their Crisp Skin Salmon. That's mouthwatering salmon fillet with creamy tomato risotto... And don't forget that crispy skin!

Ever had a grilled cheese sandwich stuffed with sisig? Only here at South Pub!
The Allison is a hefty grilled cheese sandwich filled with sisig and cheese and can be dunked in the tomato soup that comes with it. So comforting and feels like home indeed.

Don't stop there. Order the South Pub Burger, their own 2-patty burger, smashed with cheese, with their special dressing and served with a side of fries. I'd say it was beefy, no feel of extenders whatsoever, and their special dressing rounded out the flavors in this burger. Definitely a must try!

Best to order the savory Sisig Rice too to pair with all the dishes mentioned above.

I got too excited with the mains that I forgot about the appetizers! Try their version of Nachos as this features.flour tortillas instead of the usual corn tortillas. The flour tortillas give and extra bite to the dish and adds more texture too. Topped with a delectable cheese sauce and generous servings of ground beef and salsa, this in itself is a perfect opener for your date night.

Get their guiltless Mushroom Chicharon too! They're deep fried oyster mushrooms that are tasty, crispy and quite addicting. Magic mushrooms or not, you can munch on these forever!

I also enjoyed their Chipirones. These were sauteed baby squids with a sunny side up egg and toast on the side. At first, I was hesitant to try but once I've topped the toast with the medley of flavors from the delicate salty goodness of the squid and the egg, I was on a roll! Definitely one of their dishes that further the Spanish tapas experience and amp your drinking vocabulary as well.

Since we were in a pub, we were able to sample 2 cocktails - the White Sangria, which is more of a ladies' drink, and the Old Fashioned, made from bourbon and syrup. If it was not too early for a drink, we could have also ordered beers straight from the tap!

As a sweet finish to the meal, they brough out Fried Twinkies! Fresh of the fryer, and spattered with chocolate sauce, this was a perfect dessert that brought back nostalgic 90's baon days when we were young.

South Pub's interiors are also impressive as their food. You can tell the owners have invested well on this location by the looks of their bar, the mini-games that lined up one wall of the pub, as well as the on-point furniture. They have a private room as well as a veranda where one can hold small gatherings or intimate parties. It feels classy yet laidback, a true blue feature of what the South can be.

I highly recommend visiting South Pub after work, to unwind, get a night cap and finish off your evening with a great wine and beer selection plus amazing good food. Where else can you get huge servings of comfort food plus beer ready on tap? Only here at South Pub, Commercenter, Filinvest City. ;)

Tried their South Pub burger and Nachos. The burger was impressive for 280 pesos worth. It had double patties, lettuce, cheese and dressing. A little too much salt on the patties, however. But it was really filling, and had a generous serving of thin cut fries too.

The nachos were delicious! The chips were different, not the typical corn nachos you buy at the grocery. It was freshly cooked, i loved the dressing combined with ground beef and salsa. Can serve 2-3 people.

Being a pub of course there will be people drinking... and I appreciate that they have a separate area if you want a more quiet environment, ideal for small families like mine. Service was great too, and they have wifi access. Would love to try their other best sellers soon!

If you want to get drunk and feel full without the hassle of looking for a parking lot and being stocked in traffic, this is where you should go. They have the best Grilled Cheese Sisig Sandwich and White Sangria- no doubt.

It is located within the Commerce Center which means it has plenty of secured parking slots. The mall as well as the pub itself is air-conditioned but they also have a veranda for those who want to enjoy open air ambiance (you may smoke 🙊).

The good thing about South Pub compared to the usual pubs out there is that they are not focused on drinks alone but also with serving good dishes. I must say South Pub is on top of my list now.

-Nachos-
A very NAKAKABUSOG (filling) nachos made with flour tortilla. Eat this right away as each tortilla is topped with ground beef, cheese sauce, and salsa. It is plated in such a way that each tortilla will have a topping of its own. The cheese sauce is quite saltier than usual as well as the meat but the salsa gives a balance to the dish. Pair this with a Paulaner Orig Munich or a San Miguel Light.

-Chipirones-
These baby squids may look just like your Tita's adobong pusit without the sauce but this is definitely one of South Pub's must try! The baby squids are so tendeeer and packed with so much flavor while the bread is a bit chewy. There's a good play of texture in this dish. It only comes with two slices of bread so I suggest pairing this with their Crispy Adobo Rice.

-South Pub Burger-
I'm not a fan of burgers but this is one of the best I've ever had in my entire life, litereally. It was so meaty- I think it comes with 2-3 patties. Although the patty is flavorful enough, it could have been better if it was grilled. It has cheese sauce and another sauce that gives a surprise in every bite. Most importantly, it comes with fries. Never order burgers without fries.

-The Allison-
A very interesting grilled cheese with tons of SISIG in it plus a bowl of tomato soup. This sandwich is oozing with cheese and has so much sisig taste in it. Imagine eating sizzling sisig off an iron cast with grated cheese on top of it- that's how sisigy it is. Almost perfect except that the big chunks of sisig especially the uncrispy pig skin was a bit chewy.

-Crisp Salmon-
Light and fresh but filling. The salmon was not that flavored allowing it to showcase its natural light and clean taste, all the flavor is in it's skin. Try eating it off the skin, with the skin, and just the skin and compare how the blandness of the salmon and the flavorful crisp skin creates an interesting flavor.
Although it comes with risotto, I still suggest you pair this with rice if you're a heavy eater.

-Corned Crispy Pata-
Literally, TAOB lahat ng crispy pata dito. Meat is so TENDEEEEER and flavorful but for some reason, it manages to maintain it's clean natural pork taste despite being subjected to brining for 36 hours. Try it and see for yourself how amazing this dish is. Skin was so crispy as in chicharon-crispy level 🙂. It comes with Dijon mustard with a hint of vinegar.

-Spatchcock Chicken-
If you're a super fan of lemon grass, try this one. It was super soft and flavorful. The skin was salty and almost crispy.

-Sisig Rice-
You don't need to add ulam (viand) na to this. Sisig flavor is quite strong in this one. It serves 3-4. so don't believe them when they say it's just for two. LOL 😂

-Fried Twinkies-
This was the crowd favorite during our visit with South Pub. These are twinkies covered in batter then deep fried and served with chocolate sauce. Don't bother looking for the twinky feeling- it melts during the process 😞 nevertheless, I would still order this the next time I visit them.

-Sangria-
It's the first time I had a white sangria. It has hints of orange and sweet basil. You can get three of this- no one's gonna judge you 😂

The owners of South Pub Alabang decided to put up a bar in the Metro South with the pub people in mind. This trendy hangout place takes on British, Spanish and Filipino food fusion which were curated to perfectly complement liquors, cocktails, local and draft beers. Each dish were carefully crafted for alcohol pairings.
For appetizers, we had Nachos and deep-fried, Crunchy Mushrooms. Both has that crunch and texture to really perk up one's appetite.

Corned Crispy Pata is South Pub Alabang's take on this favorite pork dish of mine. They cure the meat in brine for at least 3 days and the result is a cross between Chicharon and Lechon Kawali when deep fried, The pork skin are all crispy while its meat remains fork-tender under its crunchy skin. I love it for its crunchy goodness.

I like this paired with their hefty serving of Sisig Rice. 

Another dish that would recommend is the South Pub Burger (P 280), which is a two-burger patty with cheese, served with fries and their special dressing in a bun. pastas, and sandwiches.
Picky eaters would love to sink in their teeth into the Salmon Dish, It is served straight up on a bed of sticky rice.

South Pub Alabang is designed to impress. They have soft, cushioned chairs for intimate dining plus a veranda with a beautiful view of Filinvest skyline for crowds who prefer to relax under the cool evening sky. breeze and enjoy each other like a classic cocktail.

They mix up some recreational beverages at the indoor bar to help you unwind from a long day at the office and enjoy the company with friends. So head on over and enjoy a cold glass of beer.

I must say that @south.pub.alabang is the best place to chill. They have small bar inside plus enticing designs. And also their staffs were excellent.

You must try as well their delish and flavorsome meals prepared by their friendly and amazing Chef Jinggoy. 🙌🏻✨ and their #WhiteSangria is FTW! 💯

Perfect chill and hangout place in the south. The Allison and sisig rice are my personal favorites. Good selection of wine and beers. Must try for all foodies north and south peeps.

Located at Commercenter Filinvest, Alabang, Muntinlupa, South Pub is a throwback to the laidback vibe of the best and most loved pubs of yesteryears, giving it a fresh, new look perfect for the new generation. We had a pleasant Friday evening at South Pub, welcomed by the great people of the restaurant, they offered some of their best selling food.

The Allison. This sandwich has a very nice story behind it. I would not like to spoil it, best if can discover it on your own the history how the name came about. The sandwich itself is a combination of American and Filipino comfort food. The classic grilled cheese sandwich with a generous amount of Filipino beer match - Pork Sisig! Sounds like something out of a strange sci fi mash-up, but it works! It does pair perfectly well with the tangy, creamy bowl of tomato soup on the side. This is good enough for two if you are having other dishes.

Crispy Pata - a pork dish made with love. Marinated for a number of hours giving it its unique corn taste. Soft, tender meat with a crisp skin.

Chipirones - sauteed baby squid topped a sunny side egg with two pieces of buttered baguette toast. They have a simple but comforting dish. The runny egg yolk ran beautifully with the black streaks of squid ink. The salty briny seafood lend a mild flavor with the fried egg. Bite into the toast and this is a great tapas dish with your preferred drink.

South Pub Burger. Made from stratch, this heafty beef burger is smashed with cheese. Heavy and deliciously beefy. Comes with a side of french fries.

Sisig Rice. A must try with friends over a cold glass of beer. Serving is good for sharing unless you feel indulging.

They have beautiful bar seating and soft, plush chairs for those who want an intimate dining. They also have a veranda offering a beautiful view of East Ave and the tree lined skyline of the Filinvest. Recommended. A trip to the South? Make South Pub a must visit soon.

At first I thought it was just another bar but in was wrong,this place is great for relaxing and for very nice food.

We were offered awesome dishes like their Spam and cheese , Crispy Pata I liked the inclusion of the Dijon mustard as a dip aside from the traditional vinegar ,the Allison a grilled cheese sandwich with sisig and complimented with nice 🍅 tomato soup a phenomenal one in my opinion,Chiporones baby squids with fried egg and toasted baguette, the South Pub burger with delicious patties and the sisig rice which for me is a bull's eye .

They also served wide variety of drinks and cocktails but hope they can have Guinness.☺

The owner ,chef and staff are very welcoming and friendly .The place super relax and cozy very nice for a great bonding time with friends or even a good ol romantic date.

For me this place is not just a bar but a place for great food too,if you dont drink the food choices here is more than enough

Place was pretty chill. Tried The Allison. Its grilled cheese with sisig. Dish came with tomato soup. It was delicious. For dessert, I had the cookie skillet. I enjoyed it as well. This place is recommended for those who want to eat good food, chill, and have a good time with friends and/or family. This place lives up to its name.

South Pub has good comfort food, well-edited alcohol selection, alert staff, and an approachable chef, a place that Alabang lacked. I don't need to smell like cigarettes because they have outdoor smoking area (with a good view). My personal favorites in their menu are corned crispy pata (brined pork for 36 hours), mushroom chicharon, The Allison (grilled cheese sandwich stuffed sisig with a side of tomato soup), gambas, cacio e pepe, and their shrimp and garlic flatbread pizza. They customize their selections for private functions as well. I'm often here with friends because they have draft Sapporo and Heineken, and good wine selection (ask for a bottle of Arrogant Frog from the staff!). They have a promising private dining area, though it looks like it needs a bit of organizing. However, the dining hall is upbeat and welcoming!
