Whilst staying in Alabang for work purposes, we trialed this adorable cafe for our morning coffee fix.
(Being Sydney- Siders, coffee is basically life.)
The coffee here is smooth, perfectly made and presentation was a wonderful little bonus.
It was difficult to find a cafe in Manila that had soy milk, almond milk and other options (as opposed to regular full cream) and this cafe did not disappoint.
The food was also next level amazing. Anything with egg on it is sensational, let’s be honest.
But this cafe specialises in brunch food (the best type of food) all of which is served like a work of art; you almost don’t want to eat!
The ambiance of this cafe and smiles of all the staff added to the overall appeal.
Every day for three weeks, I would commit to the ten minute walk from the work building to Bean and Yolk because their service was consistent, the cafe was beautiful and clean and the food and coffee was just phenomenal.
I will miss this place!
Had a wonderful meal.
Amazing food, delicious and beautifully presented.
The place felt very relaxed and homely.
The service and the staff is a wonder to behold.
You leave feeling like royalty, yet it’s so relaxed, friendly and welcoming.
This place is located in a lovely setting.
I highly recommend this place...
Just the best place with the most wonderful staff. The Cappuccino, which I've come to get quite familiar with, is out of this world (amazing) and their sandwiches are just lovely. You can really taste the love put into their work. I'm really sad to see you move to a new location, but wish you the best of luck with all of your future endeavours! All the best and keep up the great work
It's a morning till evening brunch place because of breakfast themed sandwiches and drinks which are available from sunrise to dinner time. Expat friendly and cozy. More so as a convenient take out alternative.
Very cozy place. The Staffs are very accommodating. Foods tastes great. We ordered John Farmers Salad & Blueberry Waffle it was sublime. Will be back here for more delicious orders.
The food is SUPERB!!!and the price is reasonable!!!will definitely be back and recommend to our frieds.
I love cara's fave , its cheesy and gooey . They also have good coffee I also love the staff , great customer service . Shoutout to Paul!❤ and nice to meet the owner miss Papo i'll be back to try the other items on the menu and hoping for some pasta dishes in the future .
Chorizo mama was really good so is the farmers john. Highly recommend the cold brew and latte glanduja. Will be back soon.👌🏻👍👍
Cozy little place for some serious coffee and awesome eggs.
Good coffee and awesome breakfast burger. Cool little cafe.
Ambience:
It is a teeny tiny cafe with 4 tables, a few chairs, and 5 high chairs facing the window that features turtle-like traffic between you and La Tienda. Lighting is fine and aircon is cold as an igloo. Tables near walls have sockets. Music is very faint and subtle, a perfect combination for those who love peace and quiet. I wish I didn't spot a tiny cockroach on the floor. Fast WiFi!
B&Y Chocolate:
It has a nice presentation with a layer for each ingredient. Looking at it reminds of chocolate mousse. The bottom part is my favorite and I wish they gave more of it.
Cara's Fave:
This is now my favorite too. I've been reading others' reviews and was tempted enough to try it. It's so good! It's like a fancy french toast but so much better! The sweetness of the honey plus the softness of the brioche and mozzarella made me cry waterfalls of joyful tears, in my mind. :)
I can still remember my last visit to Bean & Yolk. It was a pleasant place - very light, relaxing, and homey.
They have many unique specialties that attracts me to come back. I tried their S'mores Mocha and it looked good, especially with the huge marshmallow on top. Dark chocolate taste was very profound and chocolate lovers who needs a buzz will like it as well. Their Banana Brulee Waffle was heaping for its huge plate and bountiful ingredients. It was playful to eat and very satisfying. Finally, their cappuccino was nice - very creamy but the bitter roast taste of the coffee remained distinguishable. The cinnamon powder was a nice additional garnish but it was distracting while drinking.
I like the place and I hope to try their other food and drinks in their menu.
Second time eating at B&Y and its still just okay. Pork & Beans was good but forgettable. Banana Brulee Waffle was good but not worth its price. Had a fast food feel to it. This would've have been a 3 star review if it were for just those. Their Bibingka on the other had is soooooo goooooooood 🤤🤤🤤 and its a huge piece too! The bibingka is a 5 ⭐ dish and a must try! I'm definitely coming back, but maybe just for the bibingka 😝
The food is really good. The vibe is every millenial’s dream: minimalist and modern.
Prices are just too premium, though. It’s what’s making me think twice about going back.
Very nice food in a lovely environment. The portion sizes were reasonable considering the cost, and the service was excellent.
A perfect place to enjoy food. Love the hospitality of the staff, the cozy ambiance, the well plated delicious food, and the unforgettable experience all in all. Would always keep this place part of my options if I need to relax and just step back from all the drama in the metro.
Each bite would actually make you crave for more.
Duck Sisig- moist, tender and savory meal that would actually bloat you in a good way. I personally would not order it as I have no intention of order duck. But as suggested by the staff as one of their specialty, I gave in and gave it a try. And would always be thankful for such an awesome memory of my first duck meal.
Pulled Pork Adobo - such a perfect combination within one bowl. The rice, egg, tomato, atsara and the pork adobo is a well balance meal with the acidity of the atsara balancing the adobo taste. I might be able to finish another bowl of this perfection.
Bibingka - moist creamy cake is so delicious. You would be craving for more after the first one. Having the salted egg equally distributed makes each bite such a spoonful of heaven each time.
Crinkles - it is such a devilishly delicious treat. Would be able to finish a dozen within one seating. And still crave for more. Best paired with a cup of coffee.
Definitely would go back for more and would want to try other things that they could suggest. For now. A fully tummy, a happy soul and a contented heart. Would hope to visit again by the next weeks.
I so love the interior design of this place. I want my home to be like this huhu!! They have a store inside of eco-friendly stuff, pls buy!
Bibingka! It's the best order it pls pls pls. Don't miss out the best bibingka ever! We ordered Breakfast Ramen, Waffles, Hot choco and coffee. All good. Still bibingka is the best! 💕
Wanted to check the new cafe out. Ordered an iced chai latte and it didn't disappoint. Staff is attentive to customers and my requests. Will definitely come back to try their breakfast dishes and mains.
The food we ordered were great. Pricey but worth it. I guess healthy meals really comes with a price. I tried Cara's fave which is like a grilled cheese sandwich but with egg. My husband ordered the carbonara and he loved it! We also have the cozy ambiance. It was actually our first time to dine at Bean & Yolk. We were looking for a place with WiFi and sockets because we'll be working while waiting for our friends. Luckily, they have both! They are also selling pastries and there are some eco-friendly products being sold in the shelves near the corner.
Instagram-worthy food. Place was a bit dim though for breakfast. Food was nice.
I liked the Iced Gianduja Latte, it’s a coffee based hazelnut drink. Liked the bitterness of coffee with the hint of sweet hazelnut.
Crème Brûlée Fluffy Pancakes is so yummy!
The sweet potato fries was ok but I would’ve preferred chips instead so it wouldn’t be too heavy.
Chicken Tocino was ok too. They give you other options as rice like cauli rice etc.
I noticed though that the glass pitcher has some stains. Though I know it’s clean but the stains make it a bit off somehow.
Nice food and ambiance. Perfect for those who likes their food pretty like me.
If you don’t pay attention you’ll miss Bean and Yolk because it’s tucked at the very corner of an inconspicuous are at West Gate Alabang. Should you be attentive enough to spot it you’ll get the treat you’ve been yearning for from a mom and pop restaurant. They serve breakfast and brunch menu items which I very much welcomed. I ordered their duck Sisig and for the love of god a cheesecake that I can’t remember the name of since it’s not in the zomato menu (owners, moderators please help me out we need to get word out about this).
The duck Sisig was very satisfying, it was moist tender and very savory. If you like the traditional and original version of Sisig in Pampanga you’ll like their twist to the classic dish. The cheesecake as seen in the photo is moist, rich, indulgent and with a well balanced salty kick, only problem is I can’t remember the name of the dessert nor is it the menu in the Zomato app so please for the welfare of mankind do let me know the name of the said cheesecake!
This is by far the best brunch place!!! Everything here is chill and perfect. The ambiance, furniture selection, the food plus its taste and quality. Highly recommended place for those tita’s and tita wanna beeeee! I love aside from their tapa, I also enjoyed their truffle fries and eggs benedict ❤️
Although a bit pricey, I keep coming back for their Matcha Latte, Bibingka and Cara's fave! Definitely a must try!
GF tried the Gianduja latte and said it was delish.
My new favorite breakfast place! Im from Makati so papunta skyway, 164 + pauwi skyway ulit 164. Haha pero i dont care! Ppuntahan at ppuntahan ko to! Sobrang sarap!
The place is quaint yet warm. Definitely one of those Instagram-worthy places. Please try their Bibingka (fluffy like pancakes, with toasted brown sugar on top) with a warm cup of coffee.
What impressed me was their coffee stirrer, which doubles as a spoon and a straw. Points for being environment-friendly.
My new favorite post workout brunch cafe.
They serve all day brunch menu items, from pancakes to waffles, to eggs ben, to burgers. They have an wide range of items to choose from and so far all the items I ordered were good and delicious.
The eggs benedict with salmon is my favorite. Their waffles and chorizo burger are delicious as well and serving size is just right.
Make sure to pair your meals with their great drinks. Try their smores mocha, or matcha latte or their unique rose latte with coffee jelly.
The ambiance still seems to be a work in progress but the food is honest and seems to be targeted towards those seeking a healthier choice.
I do not pay any heed to that and continue to order duck sisig to this day. No regrets.
First time here eating with my fam. I like their iced latte, it comes with simple syrup. Their food was amazing, healthy and innovative. Would definitely come back for their coffee.
Try the Salmon Florentine, best dish I've tasted so far. 🤙
Bean and Yolk is a coffee shop which also serves brunch and dinner the eggciting way. They sure made a clever way of naming their cafe on what we usually crave for in the morning. This small space has amazing selections of coffee. It is indeed homey and relaxing. There’s a nice scent of coffee in the room but not overwhelming.
The Damage: Php800-1200 for two
Quaint cafe in the Alabang area serving the usual brunch and continental fare. We liked the Chorizo Mama and Caras Fave
~~TRY😍:

But first, breakfast!!! The most ubiquitous of pairings, coffee beans and eggs offer sustenance to our bodies and to our wits! Come have a breakfast of fluffy Ricotta pancakes with good strong cappuccino at Bean & Yolk, Westgate Hub, Filinvest, Alabang!
The Ricotta Pancakes in itself was a work of art, a pretty plate of the fluffiest pancakes I've seen, wit banna brulee on the side and little chunks of ricotta cheese with sliced almonds peppering the plate, and a sweet dollop of chantilly cream to finish it all. Don't forget to drizzle the maple syrup for that wonderful maple sweet goodness. All the different flavors and textures make a sinfully good medley you can't get enough of. Honestly I can finish this one plate on my own!
Paired with strong coffee hailed from one of the best coffee roasters in Singapore, your mornings have never been better.
Nice spot to have your coffee and breakfast fare. Get the table by the window that looks out to the other restaurants or the long table in the middle. I do appreciate that they have a lot of electrical outlets (on the floor) in the long table.
Their menu is hip and trendy with eclectic versions of comfort food dishes.
For the coffee, try the Almond Turmeric Latte (Php165). Very interesting flavors. But it's not for everybody, I guess.
We tried the Ricotta Pancakes. Really good! Super fluffy pancakes with ricotta cheese, banana brûlée and almond with maple syrup. A little on the expensive side for Php305.
Hopefully they fixed the smelly problem. Smelled like damp restroom inside the resto.
NEW RESTO ALERT!
Almond Turmeric Latte anyone ? Yes it smelled like your typical curried dish.
Your grey matter needs a little fine tuning with this one. It is an intriguing albeit confusing kind of drink that both repels and attracts because of its strange yellow color and misplaced aroma...
After a hearty lunch nearby, suggested to have coffee at Bean & Yolk. Place was packed but we easily secured seats inside since we were only a group of three. Staff was warm and friendly. Made small talk when engaged. The coffee was good, the suggested mocha caffe was really smooth and tasted indulgent. The cheesecake was equally delicious, we enjoyed the creamy baked texture of the cake. Flavorful even if eaten by the small forkfuls, paired with the coffee. I wouldn't mind getting lost in Westgate again if i have a cup of joe from Bean & Yolk.
Finally a breakfast place in Alabang!
The oatmeal champorado was just right for the rainy day. The ricotta pancake was yummy. However the eggs benedict could be improved, it was a bit bland and the butter used in the waffle could be better (english muffins work better on eggs ben than waffle, btw). Coffee was good. All in all, it was a good experience.
The Brunch Bestie 🤷🏼♀️
+5
My best friend recommended this hidden brunch place. We ate with two other friends. We had the Chorizo Mama and the Salmon Warm plate together with their Matcha lattes. Their Matcha lattes were really a must try! They have a lot of healthy options but this drink is worth the cheat day.
The staff was warm, the place is spacious, there was a lot of light, and the food was terrific. However, the food took a bit long, but justifiable because most brunch places are.
It’s a good place to dine in and catch up with friends or go solo and have a cup of coffee. My friends and I are definitely going back again!
Fantastic food - Finally Alabang as a brunch spot!!!! All meals are super tasty - must try the Tapa bowl and the pork and beans.... coffee is excellent!
Love this place! Not too expensive and have a lot of healthy options that are actually yummy. They have a cauliflower rice option perfect for people that wanna stay away from simple carbs or just want something low in carbs. Their breakfast ramen is really good and so is their grilled cheese. Very easy to crave. Their tablea chocolate is very yummy as well.
Been here a couple of times especially every after my session at KARADA. I love the ambiance, very homey and relaxing. The food is surprisingly good, I didn’t expect the avocado toast would taste good with an egg yolk but it did. The sweet potato fries with garlic aioli is just perfect for that gossiping moments with friends. And finally, my favorite Cara’s Fave! It’s like the toasts, eggs and honey are having crazy party in your mouth. I hope they would consider adding alcohol into their menu probably Sagria or Mojito.
Trying out a new resto for breakfast after a bike ried. Too bad they don't have waffles today. The kids loved everything that we ordered though. Till our next breakfast...
Whilst staying in Alabang for work purposes, we trialed this adorable cafe for our morning coffee fix.
Being Sydney- Siders, coffee is basically life.
From the first sip, I was in love. The coffee is smooth, perfectly made and presentation was a wonderful little bonus. It was difficult to find a cafe in Manila that had soy milk, almond milk and other heathy/ lactose free options (as opposed to regular full cream) and this cafe did not disappoint.
The food was also next level amazing. Anything with egg on it is sensational, let’s be honest.

I will miss this place!
Hooray Bean and Yolk is now open in west gate Alabang. Have been trying to visit their Poblacion branch but was never able to drop by. After enduring the SnR sale last Month, me and my friend agreed to have a snack in west gate since its just behind SnR. That's when I saw the signage of Bean and Yolk. Yey!!!
This branch is more chic and instagrammable vibe compared to their Poblacion branch. It got quite similar vibe as Sunnies cafe. I love the pendant light that they use hear very minimalist and elegant looking. Learned that they got this from Home Cartel. One of the IG feed that I really love when it comes to interior lighting.
For the food and drinks, I got the Smores hot cocoa and Cara's fave. The smores was relaxing good. This is really good especially while its hot. This is the kind of drink you want by your side while reading a book in a rainy afternoon. For the Cara's fave, its a grilled cheese sandwich and one of their best seller. It was gooey good. Now I know why people are raving this sandwich.
Overall this place is a perfect spot quiet atmosphere. Food and drink was good. Anytime fitness is just downstairs. So this will be a perfect after gym place. hehe.
