So simple yet so satisfying and easy on the wallet! Their servers are always eager to help and the ambiance here is always light and relaxing.
My favorite item on the menu is their chicken katsu and it's so delicious paired with their hot steaming cup of rice. The protein is always cooked delectably soft on the inside while staying perfectly crispy on the outside. It sits on top of a simple sauce and it just hits you in all the right places. We also always order their katsu with a side of gyoza and their's tastes homemade. I don't usually like to eat gyoza, but I savor every bite when I eat here! It's just that good.
Love love love this place! Still looking for another restaurant as good as this in Marikina.
Simple no-frills but reliable restaurant for your chicken katsu fix. Their menu is pretty much straightforward and concise.
Got the chicken katsu which came with 1 cup rice and served on a bed of cabbage for Php 190 (No SC). Serving size was a bit generous for 1 pax. I'm satisfied with the chicken. It was crunchy (and yes oily lol) and the sauce (soy based I think) was bagay!
They have other items in the menu such as curry, gyoza, miso soup, among a few other things.
Notes:
Super limited parking space across (for 2 cars only afaik)
They issue receipt IF you ask for it (please do! If not, they issue the order slip only, so sad)
The staff who took my order is so attentive and polite. The place is straightforward, clean and minimal, typical of a japanese restaurant. I came in late so I decided not to eat rice anymore.
So.. For the love of fried chicken, I ordered their Chicken Katsu Salad and a glass of Iced Coffee (ironic for a late night dinner eh?) 😄..
I loved the breaded boneless chicken! Perfectly fried chopped chicken on top of a fresh and crunchy bed of greens (lettuce, cucumber, carrots and boiled egg). It was drizzled with sweet and spicy soy sauce, which served as the dressing of the salad. Masarap! The iced coffee was just okay, I had it without sugar so i tasted the milky bitterness of it. Serving size is good for its price, too.
The service is fast and smooth, as well. Ill definitely come back for their other dishes soon.
Tip: Better come in late, the place gets jam-packed during early evenings 😲
Big Servings, tender pork katsu strips not dry and hard, crunch worthy chicken for the chicken katsu. Yummy miso soup. The food is more than worth your money. Definitely a new fave spot.👌🏻😊
Katsu that is very affordable and is good for 2 people!! Their location has parking and easy to locate. Plus points for playing Queen’s songs
We ordered Crazy Katsu through Grab! I love how the taste of the chicken katsu didn't change even if it's been years since my last order. The chicken katsu really crispy and was spiced just right! Wish they'd offer Japanese mayo separately as a sauce.
If you're craving for a katsu but you're petsa de peligro, Crazy Katsu will definitely save the day! I love the spiciness of Chicken Katsu and the softness of the katsu itself. The shredded cabbage is also the best! A must visit place!
Crazy Katsu has already been situated in Lilac since I was in high school. Now, I am already working and I still love their katsu chicken plus their sauce!! Whenever I am craving for it I can easily go here since it's just 2 blocks away from home.
I love their chicken katsu. Ang dami nung serving at ang sarap. Okay naman ung staff nila and maganda naman yung ambience nung place. I will definitely come back.
Love their chicken katsu and it’s sauce!
Presentation is 4/5
Ventilation 5/5 (since they just opened for the day and there weren’t any customers yet)
The interior needs an overall renovation/redesign but the food and service is good!
one of my favorites along Lilac ever since! i always get katsudon whenever i'm here. perfect for days when you want your katsu fix for a reasonable price. staff is very accommodating and attentive, which is a great plus.
One of my favorite places in Lilac! Of all the food places that keeps on booming in Lilac, Crazy Katsu is one of those who remained legit. I really love their Katsudon, their serving is already enough. Also love their iced coffee.
One thing that needs to improve is the interior, I’ve been going to this place for almost 4 years now and I must say that the wood style needs some repairs & redecorations. Nevertheless, still the best!
You cant's say no to their Chicken Katsu because of the sauce and iced coffee because- coffee yan eh! Hahahahha
Fam's favorite dining place next to Qizia 😊

Crazy Katsu has a part of me when it comes to japanese food. I love their plating at the same time the ambiance. The menu is really quite short but I really appreciate it more than those long menus that really need some time to read.
I forgot what I ate but I know it's chicken, and it is delicious. I also love their veggies. That really kept me going.
Staffs were really great. Specially when they smile. I really recommend them to smile :)
..twice I've visited this, indeed that their Chicken Katsu is their best seller and a-must try food..
.
..plus the big serving of Katsu Curry, the spiciness of this is just right..
.
..the crunchiness of their fish/veggies tempura so good, not that oily..
.
..gyoza - just say delicious, that's all~!..
.
..thank you Crazy Katsu (those happy faces staffs) and God bless~!..
I first discovered Crazy Katsu in Maginhawa, QC. I fell in love with their take on Sukiyaki; thin glass noodles in shoyu broth with beef strips, shitake mushrooms and sunny side up. Very rich and filling. Their vegetable tempura is also a powerful one, my dad likes it very much. I was able to visit their Marikina branch and the interiors are the same, friendly staff and fast service.
Went here for lunch and I was happy with this branch. Crazy katsu is one of my favorite restos in maginhawa.
OTT:
Chicken katsu - sweet and spicy, the taste was just right. Make sure you have rice. Big serving! Served with cabbage.
Pork ginger - playful taste. Another must try!
Miso soup - flavorful
Service was good and staff were friendly.
Tip: ask for japanese mayo.
Good place but limited parking area. I enjoyed dining here and i will come back.
Hello Peeps!
Ambiance
I'm not sure if all-wooden chairs and tables automatically mean Japanese, but the Asian vibe is definitely felt. I do like how spacious and accommodating their arrangement is. It's easy to move around even with a crowd.
Food
The best tasting dish we've had is the Chicken Katsu that earns its best-seller tag. On the other end of the list is the Fish and Vegetable Tempura which tastes bland without the soy sauce. We also had an overly sweet Sukiyaki and Katsu Curry with 'mala-sinigang sa dami' curry sauce.
Service
The waitresses at Chicken Katsu were very attentive and also smiles a lot when we request something from them. Thumbs up for that. We paid a little over P700 for 3 people. For 4 dishes, this would seem okay but the quality of some of the food is a little underperforming.

Always always may jap mayo akong request haha sobrang solid kapag may jap mayo for some reason i really love their chicken. Chicken with rice or yun salad. Sarap
I was craving for katsu, so I went here. Okay na din. :) Good customer service. Onti lang space for parking, so pag kakain mo, alis ka na agad to give way to other customers. 😀
Coffee and carbs. Can't function without either. When i say carbs, i mean rice. I was raised by a woman who believes one can't survive without eating rice daily. Psychologists refer to it as Operant Conditioning. 😊
Sunday Morning, body clock failed me, woke up around 8ish. For some odd reason, i ditched caffeine and decided to have caffeine-free organic mango/passionfruit infused black tea. Went out to hang with CMA (this will be explained subtly on later posts or on the resurrection of my blog). Lunchtime, my head started to throb, short stabbing pain on my right temple. On cue, the incantation starts to play on my head.
"Kumain ka ng kanin. "
Off to Lilac to eat some Japanese rice and some crazy katsu. Katsu >>> deep-fried breaded meat best paired with rice, shredded cabbage drizzled with Japanese mayo or dressing.
Chicken Katsu. Shredded cabbage, the green thingy that is related to onions (too lazy to use Google), red chili, soy sauce and breaded chicken fillet. I like the simplicity of this dish. It's like your little black dress, classic and tasteful. Generous serving of perfectly cooked chicken. Fresh cabbage drizzled with soy sayce. Best paired if you add heaps of Japanese mayo. The latter serves as the catalyst, tones down the saltiness of the soy sauce, compliments the sweetness of the cabbage. Add a little chili and voila - magic.
I recommend this place for someone who wants to nurse a katsu craving. Crazy Katsu delivers a quality meal that wouldn't burn a hole in your wallet. This would be your second option for a decent katsu meal while waiting for your next paycheck.
limited parking space 👎
as for the chicken katsu.. "nadala ng sauce" -my boyfriend hahahaha but very affordable! so pweds na for when you really need a katsu fix
Amazing and affordable katsu meals. Their sukiyaki is also amazing!!! Quick service and staff is very friendly. Small place but very clean.
Very budget friendly. Excellent service as well. Cleanliness and ambiance is thumbs up! I have a new food destination. When it comes to the place, it was eye-catching because of the huge sign and it has the Japanese feel in it. The staff were just okay but they could improve if they'll be more cheery and energetic. I'm still recommending this place if ever you feel like going to Lilac Street. It was cheap yet it has its authentic Japanese taste.

The forever favorite Chicken katsu. Good thing that we have a branch near in our area. Hihi. Well, service may get too slow (maybe depends on the crew) I have been a few times here, but still want to go and have another meal 😋 Crazy Katsu forevs! 🐷
Limited dishes but everything on the menu is good! My personal favorite is the Katsu Curry...and the Chicken Katsu...and the Pork Ginger...
Worth trying everything!

One of the famous Lilac street resto, this place will never fail you if your craving for tonkatsu. We like this place because food is good and price reasonable. Service is also good.
Ordering their bestseller, Chicken Katsu, was really a great choice. It was very savory and tasty. I was really satisfied with my meal. On the other hand, my friend who ordered Curry Rice didn't finish his food.
The price was just right for the meal. Very pocket friendly. Chicken Katsu is worth to try.
Upon arriving Lilac St., my friend insisted that we eat here, I'm not really a fan of Japanese cuisine I just trusted him and went with it since he had already dined in here before and told me that they serve really great food. The reasonably priced katsu tasted fine, it was really tender plus the mayo and soy sauce made it more savy. But it wasn't that really special though I enjoyed the whole experience! We were so famished that se didn't had the chance to take pictures lol
Crazy Katsu- yet another classic in the now-famous foodie haven that is Lilac, Marikina! It's one of the first restaurants in the area- and despite the fact that the place is currently booming with competition, it being able to still stand there strong and mighty is proof of its renowned quality.
Must-tries are of course their flagship Chicken Katsu (P155), but I also find their Katsudon (P155) and Sukiyaki (P198) very appetizing and belly-filling. Their Miso Soup (P30) and Gyoza (P130) are also nice additions to your main meal. I don't know what sorcery they conjured up to make their Chicken Katsu sauce really delicious, but it's already been years and I never get tired of it! Their waitresses are also quite welcoming and hospitable as I noticed they always have their smiles on- very good!

I looooove their Chicken Katsu. Perfect cause it's so crunchy and I love it cause it's a bit spicy. I love the sauce paired with the shredded cabbage. This is actually all I order every time and I haven't tried anything else yet.
Me and my boyfriend always eat here! They have great food with very affordable prices. I highly recommend this place. Their Chicken Katsu and Katsu Salas is a must try.
Finally tried this resto and I love their sukiyaki & pork katsudon. Very budget friendly. Excellent service as well. Cleanliness and ambiance is thumbs up! I have a new food destination in Lilac!
A friend brought me here and I loved the food! I ordered the chicken katsu and loved it! The rice that came with it was cooked just right. The chicken was fried perfectly, not overcooked and not oily. Will definitely go back!
Because we can't get enough of Crazy Katsu, we also tried their other branch here in Lilac.
I ordered their Chicken Katsu, again! Of course I had to try it again, this time with cabbage which is their original recipe & Paulo on the other hand ordered their Tonkatsu.
Same level of taste but I did not totally like the batter of their chicken here. Way more flour or whatever they use to batter the chicken. Their tonkatsu was not that special though. It was a little too dry for my liking. No special 'umph' in there.
Service was a little bit slow, considering the place was not that full. OH! And the price has tiny bit difference here & in the Maginhawa branch. 😊
1. I am very satisfied with their efficient service.
2. Very affordable and quality katsu.
3. They serve real Japanese rice.
4. Miso soup was a little bland for my taste.
We tried the chicken katsu, tonkatsu, katsu curry, and fish and vegetable tempura. Chicken katsu was quite good. Tonkatsu was fried well and a bit heavy but it was good. Katsu curry was good too.Fish and vegetable tempura was okay. I recommend the chicken katsu and the curry.
Good food and large serving for a price of 150php. My friends ordered different food and all are satisfied not because of the large serving but it really is delicious. Their curry is near to the authentic Jap curry.
Im a regular at their branch in Maginhawa and I can say that this Lilac branch has a bigger space and the servers are also more polite and more attentive, faster service maybe because the place is not as packed as their branch in Maginhawa. Same quality of food, but much nicer ambiance here. Love their mayo!

Very good food with reasonable price. I love, love their Chicken Katsu salad! Very tasty coffee, too. So cool that they sell CDs of local artists. I'd recommend this place to anyone!
Jaaaap! Been trying some of the restaurants in Lilac St. After roaming around, we ended up at Crazy Katsu. No regrets! Staffs and servings are good! Try their Chicken Katsu, Katsudon, Fish and vegetable tempura 🍱
We ordered Chicken Katsu, Tonkatsu, Gyoza and Coffee Pudding. We liked everything except for thw coffee pudding. Meh. I hope they change their dessert menu.
Wen here with my friends! I can say it was a very good dining experience! Cute place and very affordable. I tried their Chicken katsu, it was good. Good place to hang out with your friends to chill while enjoying your food
Great chicken katsu. Katsudon very good as well. I love how the chickenbis crispy outside but still tender when you bite into it. Cozy place with friendly staff. Thumbsb up from me! 👍🏽
ate here with my family and bro-in-laws last saturday.
it's a small place so we just got lucky when we got there to get a table.
their serving for me is great. my husband and cj liked their katsu curry - just tasted a little since am not that fond of curry. I ordered the katsudon - i had requested for additional sauce since that is how i usually eat my katsudon. and chicken katsu for pao and my son - which we ended taking home. additional orders were miso soup (love it!!! - my son even asked for 2nd serving) and chicken katsu salad - love the way they presented and the sauce of the salad).
but next time hope they do take note of special requests. i have requested to remove the chilis for my son's order but sadly did not happen.
all in all.....a place to go for your fried japanese craving.
note: sorry guys no pictures for now. i kinda forgot due to my grumpy tummy. hahaha!
Arigato 👏 👏 ~ affordable, great ambiance and the food is fantastico 🍜🍛🍤 #katsucurry #miso #fishandvegetabletempura #coffepudding.. LOvE The FOod 😋🍴
Super worth it, and really delish. I was rather dubious about the cooking since it was served fast. I wonder if they just reheated it. Also they didn't have wifi. The waitress also had an unpleasant smirk. B
The ambiance is perfect and the food I ordered is also perfect. I can recommend.this.for those crave for something different.japanese food yet affordable. I liked.the chicken katsu salad here. (Not sure of the name)

My hubby and i thinking to eat somewhere in lilac st. And we tried crazy katsu , chicken katsu were their best seller and yes it was indeed delicious,i like the spiciness of the sauce that perfectly match to the chicken ,serving is big it can share by two persons
chicken katsu meal for 155. very nice. they had the sauce served on a separate bowl so one could control the amount of sauce to add since the kids are not used to spicy food. very considerate. i tried their curry katsu and the spice was just right. my kids and I were happy and will definitely come back.

|Taste: They got that authentic Japanese taste. I love how the chicken on their katsudon retained it's crispness even if its simmered on the vinegar sauce.
|Place: Quite spacious and matches its concept
|Service: They've got approachable staffs and you could even purchase albums displayed on their counter, I saw Sandwich' Fat Salt and Flame album displayed.
Our usual order here is the chicken katsu.
Quality of food was superb and is priced fairly enough. The ambience was just right, not too crowded. The only downside I guess was their slow service.
We were here last night and the staff are really accommodating. Place were cozy. Food is good for a reasonable price. Must try the Katsu Curry. :)
I took my favorite girls to eat here after their sportsfest. Although, I have dined here before for the girls it is a treat. The menu is not as extensive as othe Japanese Restaurants but the dishes are affordable ranging from as 130php to 190php. Its a small place with minimal decore but it reminds me of a Japanese resto I frequent when I was still single.
We ordered different plates so we can try 3 dishes at the same time. We had the Gyoza as appetizer to share. Raffy ordered the Katsudon, Anna the bestseller Crazy Katzu and I the Sukiyaki because I felt I needed something warm and hearty.
The diahes were very statisfying and delicious. I presonally love the Sukiyaki meal. More info on my blog: http://wp.me/p24dOQ-35t
this is an amazing place. simple yet the food is great. affordable. nice location. easy to find. cozy place for friends' bonding. We did eat at this place often with my family & son.

If you want something good, try Crazy Katsu. I love the place. They offer different kinds of katsu like tonkatsu which is pork, curry katsu, ckicken katsu, etc. When I went there I got to try their Chicken Katsu and Gyoza. The verdict!?? It's so yummy!! The chicken katsu has cabbage and chili, for those people who don't eat chili foods, dont worry the chili is just an sprinkle. It's up to you if you will gonna mix it or not.
Loved everything on their menu and of course, their very low prices. Love going here after afternoon jogs at the sports complex. Hope they add a bit more choices on the menu.
Nice and cozy place. I don't mind the hard chairs. Food is good and won't last for a while anyway so clients aren't expected to stay very long. Sukiyaki is my favorite but the serve delicious curry too. They're selling Crazy Katsu shirts and cds too which I find interesting.
krazy Katsu is a japanese restaurant located at lilac street, sss village. Their food were delicious with a reasonable price! Their chicken katsu is a must try :) the japanese rice was also cooked to perfection! Try their pork tongkatsu meals too! Not really a fan of their curry though..but the rest of the menu is good :)
Love the food and very kid and budget friendly
Nice treat ... sarap ng food.. one meal lang busog ka na the whole day...big serving nla..you can even share un isang rice meal nla...ok sa budget...
