Its timelessness can be compared to the relationship of husband-and-wife team Lizzie and Chito Guerero, who owns and runs The Old Spaghetti House (TOSH)
The two have gone a long way from being next door partners, childhood sweethearts, a married couple and eventually, business partners with their background in the food business (she as assistant manager for Chateau 1771 in Malate, he as part of the family that owns Cravings Restaurant), the two decided to put up a small canteen.  Four Grilla outlets later, the Guerreros thought of expanding their business.
Finding space to rent in Katipunan, they decided on "top-of-mind" staples-comfort food that people have all the time.  Why not spaghetti? and why not bring it to a middle ground, thought Chito further.  "The funny thing is, when you think 'Spaghetti', it's either you go premium, which means an Italian restaurant where you spend a lot, or you go to fast food chains".
They wanted a middle ground, where diners can enjoy the same food quality as high-end restaurants.
  A TOSH of Home The Old Spaghetti House banks on family recipes to become a household word without the expensive tab. "The venture eventually became a family affair, with hand-me-down traditional family recipes finding their way into the menu.  This is a cooking family, after all, Chito's mom Annie Pascual-Guerrero being the founder of the Cravings Group of Restaurants and the Center for Culinary Arts.  Lizzie's side of the family made its contributions as well.
It is not by chance that the motto of The Old Spaghetti House is "Treasure Waiting to be Discovered."  Since, not only does the atmorsphere capture treasures from the past, but the menu too is a treasure chest waiting to be discovered. 
The menu of "The Old Spaghetti House" was developed by Lizzie Guerrero, who studied culinary arts in the Center for Culinary Arts, Manila.  The recipes that she uses have been passed-on to The Old Spaghetti House from friends and relatives. 
Last December 16, 2018 , my husband and I had a quick lunch at TOSH SM City Marikina.
Tosh has a variety of menu . They have starters , soups ,appetizers, specialty pasta , entree, pasta meals ,sandwiches, Trio Treats ,new handcrafted pizza , desserts . TOSH now has a cafe too!
That afternoon we ordered their Angus Roastbeef. You have a choice of mashed potato but I chose their steak rice . The roast beef was so perfect partner with that steak rice . The beef was so tender . I really loved it. My tummy was very satisfied 👍. Price is 295 pesos plus a pumpkin soup for 95 pesos only .

We ordered the Seafood Marinara,Tuna Carbonara and Four Cheese pizza, all of it where all good and excellent. The pizza is amazing, the pasta was superb. Thank you.

This is my go-to place whenever I'm with my mom. The ambiance is really relaxing and you can have long conversations here. It has the homey vibes and food is really comforting. We had the following:

-> My personal favorite in their tomato-based pastas is the 'Seafood Marinara'. It's too perfect to eat during this rainy season. The marinara sauce is flavorful while the pasta is cooked perfectly. There are clams, shrimps, bites of squid and mussels. The only downside I saw is that the mussels and clams are not of best quality. Overall, I still loved the dish.

-> My mom tried the 'Gambasseti' which is identical to the marinara but it's more tangy. There are three pieces of shrimps and some veggies on top. It's flavorful and not nakakaumay.

-> Our all time favorite and never failing 'Four Cheese Pizza' is consistent. The thin crispy crust topped with the light-tasting cheese is always the perfect match for any pasta we order.

-> It's our first time to try their 'House blend Iced tea pitcher'. It tastes good but I think it's not house blend. The taste of lemon is there and it's not too sweet.

I need to run errands after mass and had a quick lunch with mum. I love their specialty pastas. Mum had the Aglio Olio and I had the Sardines in Olive oil with capers and olives. Simple and yummy! We shared a salad with grilled chicken, Apple slices, and almonds. Service was fast for a busy Sunday afternoon.

Tried TOSH'es Vietnamese garlic spag with hungarian sausage and bread (instead of rice) today and it was good. It's a full meal with just the right amount of serving. For Php150 plus service charge, it's a decent meal already. I liked the pasta (who wouldnt when it's sauteed in butter) 🤣 the serving is just enough for its sweetsalty taste. I didnt become a fan of the sausage though, tastes like your average sausage, plus it's a little gritty. What i liked most about the place however is it's ambiance. It's a decent serene place with rustic furniture that contrasts SM's bustles. 👍🏼

This was one of the very few restaurants that had available tables on Father's Day, so my boyfriend and I had dinner here before watching a movie. 

For starters, we chose bacon croquettes and buffalo chicken tenders. We were disappointed with the croquettes because they had bacon BITS, and the measly amount did not help in bringing any bacon flavor to any of the balls. They should have named these potato balls instead. The chicken tenders were a tad better, but not the best. I love the sauce, but it wasn't really spicy. In addition, the bleu cheese dip was really strong in flavor; we ended up eating the chicken pieces without it.

For mains, my boyfriend ordered the mushroom Jack chicken, while I had the golden crusted chicken, ham, and cheese crepe with angel hair pomodoro. My dish was clearly far more superior than my boyfriend's! When the mushroom Jack chicken was served, we were like, "It this it?!" It wasn't impressive looking with its dry lettuce (it's shouldn't be called a salad, seriously), tasteless & gravy-less mashed potato, and pale-looking chicken. The chicken itself tasted bitter, and the mushroom-cheese on top didn't do any help. As for my dish, it was excellent in terms of taste and serving size! I guess TOSH's forte isn't really rice meals. They are, after all, a spaghetti house.

I understand that it was Father's Day, prompting them to have more customers, but did the staff really have to get our main plates already despite still having some of our sides? They asked for permission, but I think it was kind of improper.

What attracted me to eat here at The Old Spaghetti House is the vibe of the old colonial era decorated all throughout the place. Although I've never heard from anyone I know how good the food here is, so might as well give it a try. 

We ordered the Italian Trio Treat, and what a surprise we got. Let's start with the appetizer which is the Fried Mozarella sticks, their serving is a lot, not your usual 4-5 sticks. It is so good, how I wish I can quickly make mozarella sticks at home. Next is the Spaghetti Carbonarra, it was average in taste, it could have been creamier. This maybe the reason why their pasta never really stood out among others. Lastly, we tried the Margherita pizza and this one redeemed the carbonara for the taste. I love that the garlic taste did not overwhelm the cheese part. So overall, with the 2 out of 3 points, I say The Old Spaghetti House is a must visit.

I recently tried Mylene's Creamy Pinoy pasta. It's spaghetti in creamy white sauce with longganisa and tuyo bits and diced fresh tomatoes. I was not sure about the combination at first but it's surprisingly good!

I also like Christian's spaghetti with tofu balls. That's what I get when I'm craving for pasta with red sauce.

Other favorites include the nachos, buffalo chicken tenders (minus the bleu cheese dip, not really a fan), golden crusted chicken with pomodoro, cheese pizza, and iced tea.

Interior is cozy, atmosphere is homey. I love the service staff here, too--courteous, attentive, and efficient.

Perhaps a point for improvement is the consistency in flavor of the pasta dishes. They're almost always good but there are times when the sauce is not as creamy or not as well-seasoned.

I tried their pesto and fish fillet. The service in this branch is great and I also like the interior. Unfortunately, the pesto is too oily. We also ordered their cheese pizza which was really good.

We tried their pasta all you can for P150 + P50 for the pizza all you can and P65 for a refreshing bottomless iced tea. The pasta flavors are: pomodoro, alfredo, pesto, and vietnamese. I like the alfredo so much, pomodoro taste tomato which is good for those who are in a diet. Pesto is good also. Vietnamese taste a little bit of garlic but it taste ok.

The pizza flavors are: 5 Cheese, Hawaiian, and Pepperoni. I really loved the 5 Cheese,,, so yummy!!! Their pizza is so thin so my bestfriend and I ate a lot. We're so full and satisfied. :)
