I was admittedly hesitant to try this place out if only for the reason that all the restaurants that had preceded it in its current location did not do so well by me but still we tried it out because it was the nearest place to have the japanese curry we were craving and lo and behold- it truly did not fail! The serving portion for 1 was more than enough for 2 people. That goes for all 3 dishes we ordered (Chicken Karaage Curry, Ebi Tempura, Black Garlic ramen).
I'd rate the ambiance a below average score but really if you just want honest Japanese food that's served quick, is a bang for the buck, and around concepcion dos area, i promise you wouldn't mind it.
Overall, the food in this restaurant was a pleasant surprise but most of all was their black garlic ramen which held just the right umami and noodle bite for anyone craving it at a very affordable price. It wouldn't hurt ya'll to try so please do :)

If you're looking for an authentic and strong flavored Japanese food, you definitely should visit Gokinjo. Been here a lot of times, they definitely satisfy my ramen or some Japanese food cravings. They don't serve takoyaki though.
Friendly staff, good food, great drink selection as well, circulation is good but use of electric fans lang, just right for the area. Smell of the area could be improved.
Prices are really good, good value for money and the music choices are fitting for the theme and relaxing for the customers 😊

I really love their katsu curry. The portion is big amd taste really good. So affordable pa! 💓 The staff were also accomodating.
Been here twice this week and planning to go for another round.
Cabbage and Sesame Salad: Light and refreshing, this is good for 2 people.
Gokinjo Ramen: Broth is thick and flavors are well-balanced. I liked the noodles since I prefer it firm and a bit hard.
Butter and Corn Miso Ramen: The butter is not overpowering and flavor is okay as well. It could use a little bit of leeks and sesame seeds :)
Good service as they will really assist and tend to your needs.

We've been to Gokinjo a couple of times and surely those visits won't be the last. Gokinjo (meaning "neighborhood" in Japanese) is one of those restaurants situated in a not-so prominent place but has gotten a noticeable flair. Its facade and wall paintings inside, added extra appeal to a delighful Japanese dining experience.
On our previous visit, Ro tried its Ramen-All-U-Can with unlimited servings of Tantanmen, Miso, Spicy Tobanjan, Shoyu, Regular Beef and Black Garlic Ramen for P350. The ramen were all good but Ro most specially liked one of the 'Chef's recommendations', Black Garlic. The Chicken Teriyaki, served with rice, (P190) was just alright for a light meal.
Gokinjo recently offered a Filipino Selections menu. We tried the Crispy Tadyang ng Baka (P190, good for 2 not-so-hungry-people) and 2 cups of rice (P30 each). Crispy Tadyang with vinegar on the side, was tasty and tender. The whole meal tasted pretty good. We're excited to try the other listed items next time.
Gokinjo's service staffs were attentive and accommodating. The menu price was reasonable. Its place was clean but some things were not properly covered like the vent and other electrical installations, giving the place a bit of an unfinished and unpolished look.
Downside: No covered parking; parking along Rainbow street could be unsafe and sometimes, hardly available.
We seriously love this Japan/samgyup joint. Their servings are generous and the meat always fresh. Service is good as well. The manager is hands-on. Two thumbs up!
The tantanmen would blow your minds! Love this place and hope more and more people would discover this food haven. The staff are great and menu items are reasonay prized. Personal recommendations include their unli yakiniku, tantanmen ramen, tonkatsu curry rice, and matcha red bean bingsu.
So far, eto pa lang yung pinaka the best ramen na nakainan namin dito sa marikina. and affordable din sya. ang lakad din talagang makajapanese ang ambiance.
We went here during my birthday. We ordered unli ramen and their yakiniku. The yakiniku wasn't anything special. It was your regular samgyupsal with sides and sauce and the unlimited veggies and rice with drinks. What I liked about the place was the staff. Our server was nice and accomodating. I forgot his name, but he's really nice and polite.
Love the affordable prices that they offer. Tried the Tantanmen ramen, Ebi Tempura, Gyoza, Karaage and Bingsu for dessert.
Loved everything except for the Gyoza that didnt live up to my taste.
We will definitely be back.

Great experience! Price and anount of food matches. Food tastes good and is definitely worth coming back to! Very near my place where that I can just go anytime I want. The ambiance is so cozy and relaxing. A variety of food choices is available as well. The only sad part is that Gokinjo is kinda hidden from the highway so it's not easily noticed, but overall, IT'S AWESOME SO KEEP IT UP!
Karaage is authentic. I suddenly missed walking on the streets of yamato eating this. Yakisoba and Gyoza? So, so. By the way, We love the crunchiness of their tempura and its a must try when you’re planning to eat here.

Been here a couple of times already because they serve good ramen that’s inexpensive. I love the chewy texture of their noodles.
Their price of steak is quite steep but taste-wise it’s also good.
What I like also about this place is their service. They are very attentive to your needs.
Value for money. Meets expectation if not beyond for a neighborhood restaurant. On my first visit, I tried the Tantanmen. I was pleased that the broth was flavorful without going overboard on the salt as I have low tolerance for salty food. My brother tried the Spicy Tobanjan and was pleased with his order, too. My mom ordered the Karaage Curry Rice which was so huge that they had to take home some even after sharing the meal with my daughter. Best to try their Mango Bingsu, good to share for 4, for dessert as a wonderful ending to your meal.
Excellent service ever. It’s beyond my expectation and experience based from the review I read. It’s exceptional. The ambiance, friendly staffs and ohh so good good foods they serve!! It’s a blast! That time we are celebrating my friend’s birthday and we just joked for anyone who’ll sing for him .. The. Unexpectedly they prepared a small cake token and song .. Which I know they don’t offer normally for birthday celebrants coz it’s not their norm. We are all satisfied and happy. Well be back here again!❤️
I love how active they are om instagram so I tried out and had a date with my boyfriend. That time they offered us free tarot reading but unfortunately I couldn't attend but the point is, they had ideas like that which would let you go back and try again. The food has a dominant sweet taste on it but it's good. The staff are also accomodating and friendly. Their cr is nice too.

I'm sure I took photos the 1st time I dined here but can't find it now. The food is very affordable and I do like their promo which is the UNLIMITED RAMEN EXPERIENCE. Can't describe the experience enough but honestly I would like to visit again because I enjoyed their food. Jusy try it out if you're looking for affordable and yummy japanese restaurant around marikina. This is very highly greatly super recommended.
Tried the unli ramen and it was good. I had the shoyu ramen. The store was okay. The staffs were fine and very approachable. This is my first time trying ramen and in this place i found out, my cravings will never include ramen BUT that's not a bad thing for the store. Was not just a fan i guess. The servings were big and the refill took less than 10 mins.
Amazingly their food is really good and their tantanmen sarap even their sizzling teriyaki beef yakiniku.
Overall thumbs up highly recommended

One of the best ramen places I have gone to. You can never go wrong with what ramen to eat, since they all taste good. If you love ramen, they also serve unlimited ramen. I recommend Tantanmen and Shoyu Ramen. Two thumbs up!
Very affordable and very delicious ramen. We availed the unli ren for 250 and it was so worth it. The staff are nice and very alert and every refill of the ramen is made from scratch so you can be sure that it is always fresh. Will come back again to try other selections.

A few weeks ago, I went at Gokinjo in Lilac St Marikina for a dinner. I’ve been here last October 2017 and let’s say that I wasn’t that satisfied with the ramen we’ve tried during our visit before. They’ve expanded their space and added more dishes on their menu and I wanted to give it a try.
Gokinjo which is Japanese restaurant in Marikina, famous for their unlimited and affordable ramen.
It is located at Rainbow St. near Lilac St. Marikina. Interiors are well decorated with Japanese decors and the place is more spacious now compared to before.
Here’s what we ordered:
Chizu Ramen (Php345)
“A Sasazuka Ramen variation served with cheese balls and grated parmesan”
Hinotama Ramen (Php305)
“A spicy derivative of our signature Sasazuka Ramen”
Gyoza (Php110)
I’m really that Gokinjo added new (and a little higher price for their new menu). I prefer the new set of ramen though a little bit expensive than before. It’s okay since the new ramens tastes better now. Their Chizu Ramen is perfect for cheese lovers like me! The cheese balls are great as well the added cheese on the side. While the Hinotama Ramen is also good especially for those who loves spicy foods/ramen. The gyoza was steamed well. Servings were enough and the you the price is worth it for the taste! I recommend ordering their new ramens! I now say that Gokinjo is a recommended Japanese restaurant when you visit Marikina. 😊

A month ago, I went back at the famous Lilac St. in Marikina for a dinner. Looking for a place to eat, I came across Gokinjo which is Japanese restaurant in Marikina, famous for their unlimited and affordable ramen. Craving for ramen that time, we decided to try out their famous ramen.
It is located at Rainbow St. near Lilac St. Marikina. Interiors are well decorated with Japanese decors. Place is spacious as there are indoor and outdoor seating.
Here’s what we ordered:
Shoyu Ramen (Regular – Php150)
“Soy, braised pork, ajitama, ramen noodles”
- Honestly, I was a bit disappointed since the broth tastes so bland that I had to add spices and soy just to add a flavor. Personally, the noodles were a little hard and seems like it doesn’t match the ramen. Serving size was okay though I think they must improve the taste.
Tantanmen (Regular – Php160)
“Sesame paste, sautéed pork, chili, ajitama, ramen noodles”
- Same as the Shoyu Ramen, the broth was a little bland but tastes a bit better.
Gyoza (5pcs – Php110)
- The 5 pieces gyoza seems a bit smaller than what we expected but no worries since the gyoza was good and cooked well. Price was okay for me.
Though I already read mixed review about their restaurant and their photos and promotion on Facebook seems so appealing, I really felt disappointed with the tastes of the ramen served. Photos were very appetizing but the taste of the ramen was bland for us. No problem with the serving size, the place and even their friendly staffs but I think they should improve on the quality instead of quantity of the ramen they served. 😊
I ordered the Tonkatsu Curry Rice and I must say, it's the best I've ever had! On par with Coco Ichibanya. I highly suggest it.
I rated this 3.5 because the order of my friend, Pepper Gravy Beef Yakiniku was not much of a win. Their Kani salad also lack kani. Lol.
Just try the tonkatsu curry. Trust me.

Cheap ramen that can satisfy your cravings. 😍
What I look in a ramen is the taste of the soup, how thin the noodles are and how all of the ingredients compliment each other. The ramens that they serve is really close to what my ideal ramen is. ❤️ The Tantanmen's soup was very nice, the noodles are somewhat in the middle of thick and thin BUT it's okay because it really compliments the whole dish itself giving it a 4.0 star in my opinion. ⭐️
The Chicken Kaarage is alright. It's crispy and not too oily. I think they should improve more on the seasoning of the chicken or the batter because for me it was bland. I'd rate it 3.0
The dessert is Dark Chocolate Brownie. The brownie is warm and sweet and great! I just wish they put a bigger scope of vanilla ice cream so that the whole brownie could have a touch of vanilla. I'd also give it 3.0.
Ambiance is great, they have a big TV screen for you to watch and the music is in lined with the store's theme.
Value for money is great! 🤑
We'll definitely come back here for more ramen! Oh and they also have ramen all you can, so enjoy. 😉
Our new Japanese comfort food go-to place!
The challenge with Lilac is everyone serves almost the same American cuisine so we my partner & myself are happy to find something not American. Nagi, Ippudo, and all the other big Japanese brands are a league of their own, so comparing this to them is futile. But if you're looking for something to ease the cravings, then this will satisfy. Good serving size, decent taste, worth the price. 👍🏼

It's already our second time here, and I must say the resto has improved a lot compared to our last visit months ago. It's good that they've added so many food items on the menu; they used to be a resto that's just all about ramen, but they've now incorporated steaks to their menu! 👌🏽
We tried their sizzling saikoro (P299) and sizzling ribeye (P499). Their server assisted us in cooking the saikoro on the sizzling plate. Their yakiniku sauce went really well with the beef saikoro. Super yummy, and it's honestly a steal at only 299!
Couldn't say anything bad about their sizzling US ribeye either. It was very tender and serving size was really BIG for the price. I'll prolly have to spend at least double if I ordered this in another restaurant. Sulit!!!
Parking for us was a not an issue, since there's street parking available. We'll definitely visit more often!

The Place is nice, I can feel that I am in Japan. 😊 We ordered Tantanmen their best seller. Now, I know why. 🙌👍 and Beef Ramen for my friend. Staff are accommodating and nice. 👍
The food is insanely good. The ramen needs a little bit more ingredients esp meat. The brownie looks awesome and tastes really good. The best of all is the chicken karaage with cheese sauce. It is thoroughly baked and well seasoned. Will come back to this soon!

Me and my family visit there store yesterday, i ordered shoyu ramen it was delicious but it's a little bit salty.. we also ordered chicken karaage with cheese sauce and tofu fries with teriyaki mayo, but I forgot to take a photo of those. Chicken karaage and tofu fries is superb! And the employee of the store was generous and kind, we will sure to come back here.
We chanced upon this place for the sole reason that the ramen place on Lilac street is closed on Mondays. Fortunately, they serve good food at very affordable prices. There were 4 of us and we ordered ramen and rice meals.
Their ramen bowls are smaller than averarage but otherwise very filling for one person. I had the Tantanmen (Php 160) which I found very tasty! Ask for Togarashi if you like it spicier,like me; a decent alernative if you are a fan of Nagi's Red King. My friend ordered the Spicy Tobanjan ramen (level 3;Php150) and I found it just as flavorful. Ramen bowls definitely give you a bang for your buck!
My other friend had the Tonkatsu curry rice. This serving is huge! Didn't get to taste it,but she says it's delish. Lastly, we ordered the Chicken teriyaki: basic, yet delightful. Do check this place out if you are in the area.
We ordered Tantanmen, Gyoza, Karaage and Tonkatsu Curry Rice. The Tantanmen tastes heavenly, super init pa, perfect with gyoza. The karaage was cooked to perfection, sobrang lambot! The best yung Tonkatsu Curry Rice! 😋😋😋

Super tender and properly seasoned Tenderloin Cubes paired with Fried Rice is a winner meal! Another star on the menu is the Tantanmen! Felt like its soup has been simmering for hours - sooo full of flavor! Very satisfying dishes, yet friendly on the pocket.
I forgot to take pictures because I became busy eating.. It was that delicious that I even did not talk to other people already. Staff were friendly and accommodating. I became addicted to the dark chocolate brownie thingy.. I will be back to try out other food in the menu.. One of the best restaurants I have been to.. 👍😊
