I love everything about Chubbies! the food, ambiance and employees. This is the place where my boyfriend gave me a promise ring and even the employees were part of the surprise and they did gave me a great time and I just want to thank everyone who participated and supported my boyfriend on that day. I love the lechon burger? and the carbonara, compliments to the chefs and the team as well. Can'y wait to come back here.
Chubbies has been a mainstay in Lilac St for years now! For my first few visits years before, I've always gone for the carbonara and iced caramel frappe. The carbonara has egg in it so it's better tasting compared to other restos. Their iced caramel frappe is HUGE. Would recommend this for sweet toothed coffee lovers! On my latest visit though, I split the burger with my sister - it's good for sharing.
Must try ang Lechon Macau and Sinigang. I like their pizza and cakes too. We've been here more than 5 times and will definitely go back. One of my favorites

The restaurant that me and my family love the most. Everything in their menu is great. Mas gugustuhin pang kumain dito ng mga kapatid ko kesa magparty for their birthday eh. Their lovin' the vintage style ambience. Service was great. All worth it for this restaurant.

Our new favorite here at Chubbies is the java lechelog. The lechon is very well done crispy on the outside and very tender and juicy on the inside. We've tried their pancit con lechon, sisig, sinigang con lechon, kare kare, classic burger, fish and chips! We loved all of it. The best part is that their servings are really huge. Super bang for the buck talaga dito that's why we keep coming back.
Sobrang sulit ng pagkain price at service nila kung mapork or lechon person ka.. 5 star dahil lalabas ka ng parang ayw mo nang kumain muna ng isang linggo sa kabusugan!! 10 thumbs up to you guys!!

Interiors are a lot to take in. Reminded of when I visited my grandmother’s house. Nevertheless, the food tasted good and service was quick and friendly. Their 3-cheese pizzas are yummy!

My family loves it here. Their good for sharing food such as karekare, sinigang and sisig is good. But their pasta is just mediocre. They sell pizzas too which i recommend.
So so love the foods! And the ambiance is so refreshing. The price is just so right for the amount of food they serve. Definitely will go back to this place. ❤️

Been looking for a place to bring my niece who happens to be my new food buddy (hubby's sub :) She studies near Lilac yet she complains she haven't tried checking out the othet restos there. Decided to bring her at Chubbies since it's a tried and tested cafe resto. We ordered their signature carbonara and chicken quesadilla, potato fries platter and new york cheesecake. Since we were so hungry, we asked the staff to offer us the dessert first. Haha :) their cheesecake looked different this time: bigger serving. It was good enough for two. Generous amount of cream cheese :) I loved the whipped cream because it wasn't too sweet. Loved everything about the carbonara. The chicken quesadilla was oozing with cheese! Yum! Cheese lover here; tough it was a bit spicy for me. What I loved about what we ordered: there were a lot of dips. Will definitely be back for more (the place is owned by a family's friend too so we'll continue supporting them) :)
Chubbies Qcina is a charming old house converted into a restaurant. It's a good concept and most of their food is good. The lechon burger is big and a good mix of classic burger ingredients and has an affordable price as well. The Corned Beef Silog was okay, but not spectacular. The servings are generous and good for sharing. However, their desserts could be improved by using better ingredients rather than substitutes (gelatine and cream vs. cream cheese).

My all time favorite pasta is carbonara. They serve it with a medium rare sunny side up on top that makes it more starving (can't wait to eat!). I also love their raspberry ice tea ( i know it's raspberry) and also their burgers! I won't forget their sisig! Compliments to all chefs!
Staffs were great! I forgot the names of those who helped my boyfriend to prepare a surprise dinner for me last year. They even put the RING on my blueberry cheesecake topped with flowers which I don't know if edible but everything was sooo smooth and great. This is my chance to thank everyone for helping specially the interns who really did enjoyed preparing!
We'll be coming here every now and then.

Cozy and personal, this is what this place is about. The starters are great and the main dishes are superb. I super love the lechon belly sinigang! Tender and goes well with the tamarind soup. The dessert cakes are great as well!

Chubbies Qcina is one of my favorite Cafe/Restaurant in Concepcion Dos, Marikina City. A 100% quality and quantity of good food. Everything is a must try. From Pasta, Pizza, Burgers, Meal, Sides and Drinks! For me, there's no problem with the interior and ambiance of the restaurant because I knew Marikeños used to turn their house or garage into a restaurant type of establishment especially in Lilac street. The amount of food that they'll serve will surprise you. Very affordable guys! Bring your family, friends and lovey and they'll definitely love it there! Enjoy!
Tip: You can park beside the public school across the street or ask the chubbies guard for assistance.
Ohhh! Their Kare Kare was heaven tasted. Bagnet kare kare ftw! 😊 i really love their kare kare bcuz i love also bagnet it really compliments well with the dish. And the bagoong? Very delish i could ordered a seperate bagoong and i ate it w/ rice and to become my ulam. Hehe we also ordered Oreo milkshake, very creamy perfect dessert and very affodable 😊 their place was very homey.. They have cusions very soft i felt very comforrable while dining. Kudos Chubbies Qcina Cafe! Really love your place and ill surely comeback to taste other filipino dishes.
One of our go-to restaurants in Lilac, there's no food in their menu that you go wrong with. Especially their Pansit, Lechon Burrito, all of their pastas, rice dishes. Basically, their entire menu. I love this restaurant.
having a hard time to decide where to eat dessert and we decided to try Chubbies, since hindi ko pa na-try. They have good services and also good quantity of food serving unlike other restaurants. They need to add more food in their menu. Overall they are a okay but I recommend to them to fridge their cakes.
I was really impressed with everything in the cafe--- big servings, great food quality, relaxing ambiance and accommodating staff. The prices of the dishes are pretty reasonable. We got to try Bihon con Lechon, Lechon Burrito, Chubbies Classic Burger, and their milkshakes. This is a place where you can have your cheat day if you are on a diet.
Hello! Chubbies is a great place to be with. Ever since with their old place in Lilac. Now, they transferred to the, somewhat old antique house. Its quite relaxing and you might feel like at home when you're there. Nice foods. I really like their Sinigang con Lechon and the Chocochip Frappe in a big fish bowl like. Over all, thumbs up for foods and friendly staffs.
A friend recommended I try the Spicy Pork Steak from Chubbies because it is similar to the creamy beef and mushroom dish that I like. And Chubbies did not disappoint! The pork was soft and easy to chew, it was really tasty, and the sauce, although a little salty, matched well with my white rice. Although they could have added a little more veggies on the side.
The ambience was great and cozy and it was like I was eating in our dining room at home. The staff were really friendly and accommodating. I have to return and try everything else in the menu.

Looking for place to eat for dinner, finally got so curious to dined in at Chubbies Qcina Cafe along Lilac Street.
Place is across the Mogu Tree House, Singlish, Udderly Delicious, Pink Chiffon and Teaza’s establishment. And you’ll see an old house transformed into a nice dining place.
Since I really wanted to seat inside, I was quite disappointed when the waiters/waitresses gave us seats just across their counter. :( First, I really want to seat inside since I wanna see the place. Second, their waiters/waitresses seems to be all over the places. They were a bit noisy and keeps on talking. I want a nice, quite ambiance to eat that time.
Menu was handed over to us. We waited around 10-15 minutes before the foods was served.
While waiting, one of the waiter noticed something behind my back so I immediately look. Turns out, a cockroach was seen at the ceiling above me. So they finally asked us if we want to move inside. (I was kinda happy to know that we’ll be moving inside but disappointed to see a cockroach on the ceiling just above me. Good thing, we food wasn’t served yet at that time.) The seats inside was much colder than the seats across the counter.
Here’s what we ordered:
Seafood Marinara (Php185)
“Sauted shrimp, mussels and clams with rich Marinara sauce”
- I’m not a seafood lover but this dish tasted good. Taste is so flavorful. Servings are also huge.
Creamy Chicken Baked Rice (Php185)
“Creamy chicken, mushroom and veggies topped witg Parmesan cheese and imported mozzarella baked into perfection”
- Huuuuge servings again. I really love this dish since it’s very creamy and milky. Taste tends to get “umay” afterwards but it’s okay since we have an appetizer for that (the cake).
Blueberry Cheesecake (Php135)
- again… Huuuuge servings! Haha they really us you generous amount of servings even with their cakes. Their Blueberry cheesecake is heaven!! The cake priced at Php135 is really huge for me. We weren’t able to finish this so we had to take it out.
What I didn’t like about them is their waiter/waitresses. First, when they didn’t offered us the seats inside but then when a they saw cockroach above, that’s the only time they asked us to seat inside. Second, the waiters and waitresses were all over the place and keeps on looking at us/at what we were doing. Yea, I know they should be protective of the place but it seems awkward when they keep in looking while were eating. That's also the main reason I wasn't able to appreciate the place and wasn't able to take photos of the place. Third, after I opened the Creamy Chicken Baked Rice, I put the lid on the table but then a waiter immediatedly took out the lid from the table and cleaned the table while we were eating. I know that the mozzarella cheese/cheese from the lid kinda sticks on the table but I think cleaning the table while we were still eating was kinda rude. They always seem to be in a hurry to clean up the table at once. And lastly, I know that they should keep the area clean at all times but as we were eating, they keep on cleaning our table, getting our used tissues (2-3 used tissues) and getting the used plates without asking us (hey, you can politely ask to get the used plates like “Sir/Ma’m pwede ko na po ba kunin ung plates nyo or kukunin ko lang po ung plates). :(
Overall, they gave us generous amount of servings for the 3 meals we ate so I was satisfied. Recommended? Even though I wasn't quite happy in how they served us , I will still recommend this place since foods are really worth for your money.. :)

Just tried this restaurant because it was new to me and the staff were accomodating our short questions. The food was great and the price was value for our money. The serving size was really that much especially the coffee frappe. I would love to eat here again. As we stayed a bit, more customers filled the place. The ambience is very homey so I felt comfortable eating and chatting with my balikbayan friend who visited here briefly.

First impressions really last...and Chubbies Qcina Cafe indeed gave us a very lasting one.
Frequently cruising along the area, we initially visited this resto cafe out of curiosity. It's in an old Bungalow house at 50 Lilac Street, Hacienda Heights Marikina, just walking distance from St Paul of the Cross Parish in SSS Village. Retirees that we are, we want to relax, move around and check out what the mushrooming restos in Marikina have to offer. So we took a peek at Chubbies.
Macky, one of Chubbies' efficient waitstaff, opened the door for us to see the place. We had a little Q&A about the menu and Macky answered all our questions, patiently and informatively.
Chubbies Qcina Cafe exudes a certain rustic charm. Outside, the place looks ordinary, just an old house converted into a restaurant. But once you enter, the decor is very nostalgic. It felt like we were in Old Manila or Intramuros. An old 'malagkit' rice grinder, like what my grandma and my mom would use to make us some rice flour or 'galapong' delicacies, from scratch, caught my attention. Instantly, it brought me back to my younger days. Ah, good-old-sweet-memories! I also noticed that old drift woods were used as table tops and the rest...it's for you to find out.
Welcoming us back to dine after the Holidays, Macky smiled, greeted us, then led us to our table. A group of young lady diners still manage to play 'Chopsticks' notes on the old piano, on their way out, with burst of giggles on the side. How fun! This is just the place where we would want to eat, relax, be with families and catch up with friends.
At a first glance on the menu, my hubby and I unanimously chose Tinapa Pasta (Angel Hair Pasta with smoked fish and mushrooms). Paired with a freshly-baked bread on a tin cup, the food was really 'Chubbielicious'! It was so filling that we rescheduled to just try the other restaurants the next day.
Thanks to Macky! His skills, extensive food knowledge and enthusiasm to please his customers have definitely made our dining experience a very pleasant and unforgettable one. Thanks to the Chef too. We will surely come back for two of Chubbies Bread delights! - the Lechon Burito and the Chubbies Classic Burger.

It was one of those lazy days and you just simply wanted to ride a random FX and set off to somewhere. This is how we found Chubbies Qcina Cafe.
We were looking for a coffee shop, and looking back at our Cookie Mug Experience, we decided that Lilac St. might just have a lot more in store for us.
Of course, we were not disappointed. We got to the place and were a little shy at first to come inside. The place seemed like a residential space that was turned to a cafe by the owner. I believe this is really what happened. By the looks of it, the owner is a fan of the antique-feel. Please excuse my lack of interior design knowledge (LOL) but the place became comfortable and elegant at the same time because of the textiles on the wall, the furniture, and the little home accents found here and there.
It’s just a sad lot that we’re not there to dine though, because the menu is pretty impressive. The Chubbies’ Tabachingching Silogs and Bihon con Lechon meals looked promising. Never had I felt remorse on this kind of level.
There were also a variation of cakes on display!
We settled for coffee. We ordered Iced Caramel, as usual. There was also a fine print on the menu that they can remove the coffee upon request which I think is very sensitive especially for the easily rattled, nervous, and the insomniacs. Oh, and also for the kids!
The moment the coffee was served to us, we were dumb-founded. We literally said “WHOA!!!” out of sheer delight and excitement. The serving was humongous!
The garden was where we decided to stay. As the usual routine dictates, my partner and I exchanged ideas under the afternoon sun, enjoying this treat!
When it was time to go home, we asked one of the staff of the easiest route to return to Cubao, and how convenient it was that the FX heading back passes just across the street!
Chubbies Qcina Cafe, is not for the dieters, weak of heart, and the excessively health conscious. It was made for the likes of us who enjoys food, loves flavor, and adores being full! Cheers to our passionate appetites!
In search of good pastas and tasty sandwiches, napadpad kami sa Chubbies. If you have one of those insatiable hunger moments, Chubbies is the way to go.
We ordered their lechon burrito and pesto pasta. The portions were very healthy. Haha. Medyo nakakaumay lang yung burrito. Kanin nag dala. Even with the atchara, you still need something to cleanse your palate after your meal. Pero kudos sa lechon. As for the pasta, approve ang pesto pero the sauce was too rich.
Chubbies; points for price, laid back dining experience, and their serving size. As for the service, wala namang problema.

This is just across Udderly Delicious Milk Shakes, It is a big place with a home-y vibe to it. You can easily tell that they transformed this whole house into a restaurant. It has comfortable chairs and tables. You can also plugged your laptop to some o the electrical outlets available on the side for no extra charge.
I used to go here and they have limited menu. I enjoyed their pasta and their iced mocha. When I visited this restaurant yesterday, I saw that their menu improved and they have wide variety to offer now. I tried their Silog meals for 89php. I can tell you that it's worth it. The serving is good enough for one person with a big appetite ;) Also, I like that their serving of home blend iced tea is in a small aquarium bowl. It gives the illusion of you drinking a lot of iced tea for a cheap price.
One thing that I will never orget about this restaurant is how attentive their staff were. They are quick to attend our needs. Also, they baked their own pasta bread. It's true coz I saw them making it on one side of the restaurant :)

We ordered Spicy Pork Steak, Tinapa Pasta, and Italian Soda. All tastes really good. Although, the spicy pork steak isn't spicy at all but very creamy. What surprised me was the Italian Soda-I thought that it was just another iced tea just named differently. All of these are good for two people.
Ordered the following: Bihon Con Lechon, Cafe Mocha, , Iced Choco Chip, Iced ChocNut Latte, Blueberry Cheese Cake, ChocNut Cheese Cake and fries.
I would recommend their Bihon and their drinks for big servings and I approve the taste. Cheese cakes doesn't meet my expectations or maybe I have a preference for the taste.
I hope their staff can also improve their service, especially during dinner (they already got lots of customers by this time). We've waited a bit long for our bill out.

My second time here. I love this house turned into resto. BIG SERVING (both iced tea and dishes) plus very affordable. Scrumptious meals that you will surely love. Great ambiance! One of the best food places in the heart of lilac street.
They got the best pastas! You will surely enjoy if you are a pasta lover. Bacon and Cheese overload izzz the bezzzzt! Not to mention their "kubyertos" and ambiance... Really nice place as well.

Our cheesy bacon penne pasta was smothered with cheese sauce and bacon slices (not bits, mind you)! The spicy porkchop came along with a generous serving of mushroom sauce that just the thought of it makes my mouth water! And my gosh, I was reminded that Chubbies offers the best burger along Lilac Street: their original Chubbies burger! It was so big, I had to take more than half of it home since we had pasta and a rice meal already. I love the way the patty was grilled, and what’s even more admirable is the fact that Chubbies bakes their own bread. :)
Before going there, I told Leo that we shouldn’t order any dessert anymore since my ref is full of birthday sweets. However, we were treated to a nice surprise thanks to the very friendly owner, Marie Joy, who sent us a piece of chewy, gooey, moist, and warm chocolate crinkle! Ay nako, it was so good, we finished it even if we were already full!
Chubbies is definitely one of the food places I’d recommend you to try if you’re along Lilac Street in Marikina! They are now located in front of China Bank! The place is bigger and better looking than their previous location!
A house turned restaurant is a relaxing way to dine. Everything is authentic in a way that it reflects the owners of the place. Bookshelves, figurines, everything you see in a typical home! The service is quite poor, though. When the place is fully occupied, their manpower remains at around 2-4, which makes you dread the wait. BUT! Once the food arrives, you know it's worth it. A+!
The ambiance was fine. It felt kinda homey! ? their food was great. We tried their new york cheesecake, barbecue rice, spicy pork steak, bacon something pasta and bacon & mushroom pizza. The taste was really great plus they really have fast service! The only thing I don't like about the place is that...they didn't have wifi. Haha! But overall, you should really try this out!
I usually don't go out on a Sunday as it is the only time I can take the whole day to rest but when I heard about the Tinapa Pasta, I could not resist not to try it. So one Sunday morning I decided to see my boyfriend who lives in Marikina. I travelled from Makati to Marikina to just actually try the food. I was entirely enthralled to see the menu, they have a variety of choices and the prices are very pocket-friendly.
Of course I've ordered Tinapa Pasta which was very pleasing to my taste. My boyfriend ordered tapsilog which has a distinct taste as well. Their Frothy Iced tea and their Brownie Ala Mode were fine. I'm happy to note that my travel was all worth the effort, time and money.
On the other hand, the place was too small and the quality of service was a bit slow. People kept coming in so I suppose they need more service staff to cater the needs of the customers.
Me and my sister didn't stay long because it was pretty late and we just want to relax a bit so we ordered their Americano and Chicken Quesadilla ♥ So good!

Who could resist Chubbies Qcina's big serving of Latte and Soda Float. You must tru their chocnut latte, caramel and choco chips latte. They also have a lot of delicious yet pocket friendly prices.
