The beef wanton and spicey beef lamien were pretty good. The servings are big - one bowl is good for 2.
I find this place legit. Love their Beef Wanton La Mien. The beef was very tender while the dumpling was tasty. Their Chicken La Mien has a very clean flavor. The noodles were a bit firm and whole, very filling. We also tried the steam dumpling which has lots of veggies inside (not sure if it's kuchay) and it was great. The deep friend sticky rice dessert was OK, too oily for my taste. While the sesame balls soup (dessert) is heaven.
Service is quick. Place is a bit packed because of the crowd, the AC can be improved. Cleanliness can also be improved. Price is good, very affordable!
Overall, it's good. We'll be back again for a legit Chinese La Mien fix 😁
In case you're wondering, it's the same as Lan Zhou La Mien, just a different name but everything else is the same, so highly recommend if you're going to the area.
Flavorful broth, and thick handpulled noodles made my day. Twas even better with the steamed dumplings. Sooo gooooood. 🍜 I would want to come back to try their stir fry noodles and fried dumplings, lol.
If you are looking for a scrumptious and budget friendly Chinese cuisine, San Guo La Mien is the place to be. This serving is pretty filling and satisfying yet you will want some more. If you ever come to Lucky Chinatown Mall, you cannot miss dining in this restaurant.
San Guo La Mien is also Lan Zhou La Mien, we learned that using different names for various branches is a practice of Chinese name businessmen.

Since it is also offers similar food as Lan Zhou La Mien, we recommend any of their noodles as well as its dumplings.
Both San Guo La Mien and Lan Zhou La Mien have the same prices of food.
Their kuchay dumpling is also our favorite partnered with their black vinegar and ginger. It’s meaty and steamed well.
The noodles, on the other hand, are handpulled and the broth always tastes good.

I love their la mien esp. the cha ho fan one, I also love their beef noodle soup and fried dumplings! This is one of my favorite chinese restaurants and their ambiance is quite okay as well. The reason I only gave it 4.5 stars despite how much I love their foods, it's because when my grandfather who is a senior citizen ordered their beef la mien, they only discounted 5 pesos off his bill, which is unfair because they should discount 20% and the 12% vat. My mom even demanded for their official receipt which they failed to provide for us. So to all the Senior and PWD card holders out there, please do take note of this because you might only get a tiny bit of discount.
Order chaw bihon (stirred fried vermicili), char lamien(stir fried noodle), and chaw fan (fried noodle) and fried dumpling. The portion is big and good for 1-2 person.
Excellent fresh stretched noodles right before your eyes , and suck a rich and flavorful beef broth. Definitely worth a try if your in Chinatown
The servers are attentive. Comfort food that hits the right spot. We had spicy beef lamien, beef wonton lamien, beef lamien, wonton lamien, half an order of steamed dumplings and half an order of the fried ones. Ask for the sweet sauce from the servers. Mix with the dumpling sauce according to taste. You can also add chili sauce if you want it spicy. Top the soup with spring onions for added flavor.
Dumplings and egg fried rice are my favorite. This is my mom's fave resto everytime we go to Lucky Chinatown Mall. She's literally wont miss eating here. Haha.
I always go here when I crave hand-pulled noodles at Lucky Chinatown Mall. The quality of their food is consistent where the texture of the noodles are very long and perfectly chewy. The soup is addicting and relaxing. Imagine how hot it gets when they also serve all that hot tea. Beef Brisket is always soft and tasty, plus they give a fair serving size.
Place - it was ok and a little bit spacious.
Staff - they were polite and a little bit attentive. although staff didn't have enough knowledge on the menu well.
Menu - doesn't have enough description about the food. I would suggest to put a simple description on the menu.
Food - serving size is good. Food is also good and I can say that the food is worth every penny you pay.
Had dinner tonight @ San Guo La Mien LCM branch. Its my second time dining here. I ordered Pork Sotanghon Lamien and Egg Cha Fan. Big servings, good for 2-3. I totally love the noodles and the broth. The broth has a very clean taste. You can also ask for additional broth for free. They have chicken flavor and beef flavor. Lots of condiments to choose from. I have also tried their Beef Wanton Lamien, Spareribs Lamien and Fried Dumplings. I am very satisfied. Quality of food is good. Service crews are also kind and accomodating.
Why have I not discovered this place before? After a full day of shopping, you can never go wrong with some chinese comfort food! Spareribs Noodle, steamed dumplings are highly recommended.
Here is definitely my fave spot of hang out. HAHAHA I always eat here- when I'm in a hurry, very hungry, and craving for salty foods. I love their fried rice and their noodles whether with soup or without. Their dumplings are also good whether fried or steam :) also, cheap price yet worth the pay! :) you surely won't regret :)
Dined in with mom and a friend. Got to order beef, spareribs, chicken lamien and fried dumplings. Service was good. Staffs were attentive and accomodating. Taste was good it was jut the noodle of their lamien was a not good for me. Quantity wise they served much more than 200php noodles. I seriously eat a lot but I was not able to finish their generous noodles.
Ate here with mom & sister and saw GIs eating here. My mom says it's good enough already considered the cheap price and being a picky eater she is, I can assure you that this is def good. Love their dumplings however it doesn't fare with that of Dong Bei's. Large servings at a cheap price. Btw it's my 2nd time here and it never disappoints 👍🏼
with their sister lamien shop lan zhou la mien. this place has definitely took it one step higher in terms of location and accomodation but the food equally tasty. with their hand pulled noodles you will never go wrong but if you want something different from your usuall bowl of noodles. try their knife mien. it's thicker and shorter like papardelle in their pasta counter part. lol. but of course the star of the menu will always be their dumplings. go for fried for a different feel.

A trip to Binondo is never complete without the usual food adventure, and being a noodle lover myself, I couldn't pass up the chance of having hand-pulled noodles the moment I saw some being made through their window as I was strolling around Lucky Chinatown's courtyard. The place wasn't fancy, it was in fact comfortably similar to your usual pancitan or tea house around the metro. This made it more attractive to me, the fact that it didn't look like an expensive place that serves sophisticated dishes. Just as I had hoped, prices were very reasonable. As for the food, we ordered the Kan pan la mien (noodles without broth) which came with a brown sauce, knife la mien (hand sliced noodles in soup) and the beef la mien. Their broth was nothing spectacular, I wasn't too impressed. However, the brown sauce that came with the kan pan was very flavorful and went well with the hand pulled noodles. Their noodles are alright, although I've had better elsewhere in the metro. Apart from noodles, there aren't really that much options on their menu except for the dumplings my companion eventually ordered. Their offerings are really centered around their noodle dishes. I suppose with the many flavors they offer, you should try a new dish each time, to eventually find your favorite.

This restaurant has five branches scattered left and right of Recto, in the Binondo and Santa Cruz districts of Manila.
Bear in mind that this particular branch of Lan Zhou La Mien is named Sang Guo in Lucky Chinatown Mall. But you will not miss it, because they have a big display kitchen that's visible from Lucky Chinatown's outdoor plaza.
You are in for a special treat if you catch their noodle maker pulling this restaurant's signature noodles. Kneading and pulling noodles to the right length and thickness is an art, as well as a ton of physical work. You should come and see.
On this particular jaunt we ordered sotanghon and chicken noodle soup, fried dumplings, which were stuffed with kuchay and pork, and a bown of Kuan Mien, flat tagliatelle-style noodles with pork spare ribs.
While I am not a particularly huge fan of their broth flavorings, their noodles are the star of the show. My noodles were al dente and long and very satisfying. The soup broth here is perhaps not as rich as what you'd get at other, older Chinese noodle houses, but the food is hearty and filling.
Fried dumplings arrive by the dozen, fried to a toast, with a nice gyoza-like crispness. They are great dipped in black vinegar and ginger.
Be prepared to get in line to try their noodle dishes which are inexpensively priced compared to ramen. Since seats are limited, sometimes tables are shared with other customers, Hong Kong style.
We've already planned to come back and try their stir fried noodles.
Their servings are big and good for sharing. The price is just right. The staffs are friendly though they should be more attentive when getting orders.
