At first we just want to try their sea urchin but ended up taking the seafood platter. It was not a bad decision. I liked everything! I am not a fan of grilled or smoked salmon as it brings out that fishy taste but Tajima's an exemption. The salmon melts in your mouth and does not have that fishy taste. The egg soup we had was also good. Not a fan of their shrimp roll though.
I wish they could give their kimchi and miso soup for free when you dine here. π

The staff were accommodating and even volunteered to take our photos (tnx)
Will do pay a visit here again to try their other dishes. π
The yakiniku moriawase is a must! Actually if you intend to visit the place with your family this is the perfect place for you. They're all delicious! And you get to enjoy cooking your own food. I know this is not new but i guess the food itself is worth trying.. ππ»
This restaurant is so underrated. I'm actually surprised it's not popular.Β
Well. First and foremost. It has the best location. It is located at the second floor somewhere in Harbour Square where you can see the view of the beautiful manila bay. Gahd. Look at my pictures! It's best to dine here at night. If you're not ordering Yakiniku, feel free to dine outside for the view and the cool bay breeze.
Second, the food is really cheap! I mean, 150 pesos for 8 pcs of california maki? Well, okay not everything is that cheap though. I love their Yakiniku sets the most.
The restaurant itself is a bit old and the floors are cracking, but it's okay. The view already balanced that out.
I'd love to give this restaurant a 5 star rating but I can't because the owner here is a bitch haha. Their service is kinda off. Sad. Maybe that's why they have very few customers.
But all in all, their food is good, and my husband and I go here most Sundays :)
Me and my partner were checked-in at Sofitel and instead of dining in, we've decided to go out for a walk and look for some place to eat. We headed right to Harbor Square and have chosen to try Tajima since it's new to me unlike the other usual food stop - Dencio's, Jollibee, Max's, etc. I ordered their Pork Tonkatsu and my partner had Katsudon and Cali Maki. Tonkatsu and Katsudon were okay. Not good, not bad. Yellow Mango Shake is awesome. Kudos to that. It's just that I am somehow disappointed with their Maki. It tastes and looks good, but the rice isn't that sticky. Why? Because it breaks down so easily and scatters all around my plate which gave me a hard time using my chopsticks on it and ended up using my bare hands. Lol. Well, anyway, still a good place to dine with anyone. And what I love about the place is that you won't need to stand up and go out just to smoke. You can actually puff some cigar inside. Haha! And they've got these approachable staff around. Will be back again if time permits.
After a trip to Star City with kids, we earnestly searched for a new place to eat. Tajima was more than satisfying with their Korean grill and delicious appetizers.
The star of our experience was the grilled platter which had beef, pork and chicken. For Php 900 it was quite generous. The meats were well marinated and not as fatty.
Must have is their spinach with peanut butter dressing. It was too good we got two! Sweet and salty delight.
I suggest going for the Spicy Tofu. Freshest tofu with kick of Korean spice.
My friend and I loves adventures so we went all the way to Harbour Square for something new. Dencio's, Sizzling Pepper Steak, Teriyaki Boy, Army Navy, Yellow Cab - these are just some of the places we saw there and we were kinda disappointed that we can't find any resto that we've never been before. Until we saw Tajima Yakiniku!
Yes, its name may sound so Japanese. But the twist here is that they just don't serve Japanese dishes but also Korean and Spanish-style.
We ordered half Soy Sauce Ramen and half Tonkatsu Ramen for 200php each (300php if whole) then we also added Assorted Tempura (by means of Tempura with Shrimp, Squid, and other kinds of seafood inside) that costs 300php.
Well it's just too bad that we went to this place in an afternoon because I'm sure that the best time to dine here is at night since it is located at the 2nd floor of Harbour Square, directly beside Manila Bay.
