We were looking for a familiar restaurant where we could have dinner on a Monday evening, and since we were craving for something Japanese, we decided to go for Teriyaki Boy. It’s not as popular as it was but it could still punch in some Eastern authenticity.

I was with my sister, which gave me a chance to be able to order more than I could handle. It didn’t take long for the food to arrive, and the serving time was just as good as the dishes.

On top of my list would be their Tonkatsu Curry. The meat was tender, even though the breading was deep fried and crispy. The curry complimented the pork’s flavor, so we finished it almost as soon as we started it. It could use, however, more serving of curry and more heat.

Another one that I fancied on was their Tuna Tartare, an original French cuisine that they infused with an Asian appeal. This serving didn’t need the usual soy sauce as it was seasoned well already. Its generous tempura bits also gave an interesting crunch once in a while.

We also tried their dynamite roll, Western-style sushi, that contains a piece of prawn tempura and masago, with other vegetables. The cheese tried to neutralize the fire like the spiciness of the roll. This one is a must order if you love spicy food!

Their tempura didn't disappoint either, as it could easily be compared with what the rest of the Metro has to offer. Each bite was also packed with shrimp. It was not your usual airy kind found elsewhere.

To even out the flavors of the food that we had and provide some nutrients, we also tried their Yasai Itame, or better known as stir-fried vegetables, for our side order. Their Yasai Itame stood out, given its infusion of signature Chicken Teriyaki. And hey, this was only Php 120!

This round of Teriyaki Boy experience was great overall, and I'd recommend it for you if you like Japanese right away and not as pricey.

The name is teriyaki boy and guess what their specialty is? Teriyaki chicken and tuna are my favorites. Sushi rolls aren’t bad either.

I like the fact that I can come by myself and get “solo” servings of sushi rolls (four pieces) and gyoza (two pieces).

I craved for japanese and yesterday i tried their set meal and tuna teriyaki. Im happy with chicken teriyaki, kani salad and ramen. But their california maki failed to meet expectation, the rice was overcookedand watery, i didn’t eve tasted the filling inside, the fishy taste of tuna is still there. This not my first time here and i know their dishes are good but it wont be my last either and will still try more of their dishes next time.

I’ve been to different branches of Teriyaki boy and I never had any bad experience, lucky me hehe. I usually dine here with my family and sometimes with friends also. My favorites are tempura, sukiyaki and crunchy roll. Would love to try the desserts next time.

Tofu steak is a great appetizer for tofu lovers like me. One of my favorites from this place is the Philly Cheese Steak Roll. A platter of this can already make you full! Their California Roll is pretty ordinary. Tempura Tuna Tartare is also another fave of mine. Chashu Ramen Shoyu was also good. Gyuniku Ramen was okay. Green Tea milkshake was too sweet. The sweetness overpowered the Green Tea flavor.

Have been here a couple of times. Its a usual-- tofu steak, asupara bacon maki, wafu fried rice and sukiyaki. Serving size is good for two to share or for you alone especially the tofu steak; always go back for it. The location is not ideal since it is on the corner and if you want to dine inside the shop it can get a bit crowded. Crew are nice and responds quickly on your request. Another best part? Rice tea! Or what I think it is.

Always a Japanese food lover, as the night goes deep, me and my friend decided to chose Teriyaki Boy. We could talk all the time we want to while waiting for our food. We have ordered ramen, california maki and donburi bowl. It was such a quiet place and the ambiance is really commendable to take a dinner.
