We celebrated my Daddy's birthday here. Everything we ordered is delicious for me, except the black rice we ordered. The sizzling sisig is the best so far among all the sisig I have tried! Ambiance is okay. Place is spacious. Would love to come back for their sisig.

Their chicken pandan, kare kare and beef caldereta are all vey delicious and savory. Serving size is also quite okay. The beef caldereta was very good and oozing with cheesy goodness.
We ordered Kare-Kare, Sizzling Sisig, Calamares, Chicharong Bulaklak! Ang lutong ng chicharong bulaklak and it was a big serving. I loved the Kare-Kare! Staff is attentive.
Good food, new location has better ambiance than their previous dark and gloomy location. I like their chicken dishes and dessert. Food really takes a while before they serve - good for when ย you're with family, this give you time to connect, bond and share stories.
My fave dishes are country fried chicken and sinigang n bangus belly.
Parang Gerry's Grill lang din na set up pero da best yung pancit nila dito. And they also have the calamares negra. Masara din sya. Good for barkada foodtrip dito. Sulit bayad nyo ๐
Sunday lunch with the family:
- Kilawing Tanigue: Pa calls this 'kilawing sibuyas' because of the overwhelming amount of onions in each shotglass. It's also too sour for our taste. Not sure why we are still ordering kilawin in restaurants when Pa almost always complains that his version is much better (GGSS, hehe! ๐). So, never again! ๐คฃ
- Calamares Negra: A twist to your traditional squid rings. It doesn't look appealing at all (which applies to most food tinged with squid ink), but I'll definitely reorder this next time. Pairs really well with the aioli dip. ๐ฆ
- Sinigang na Salmon Belly sa Miso: Sarap-asim!! ๐
- Sizzling Pork Sisig with Egg: Still one of the best versions of sisig for me (super crunchy from the pork skin & chicharon). ๐ I can't help but give my sister the evil eye when there's only just a few spoonfuls of sisig left in the sizzling plate, because I want 'em mine, all mine. #damotmuch ๐๐ท .
My partner and i were thinking of some places to eat when we reach the 4th floor of the mall. I've never been to Congo Grille but i heard a lot of good feedback regarding their food. You can never go wrong in Filipino food as always, i am very fond of it. So we tried here for the first time. We ordered Sinigang na Bangus Belly, Congo Rice and the "Award Winning" Pork Sisig.. With bottomless iced tea ofcourse. I'm not really a fan of Sisig. I always found it's smell really awful until i tried Pork Sisig here in Congo. It really deserves that tag "award winning". I haven't eaten a sisig like that and it must be recommended. ๐ The Bangus Belly is good too. All the prices are worth it for two. The staff are nice though they're seems quite attentive. The restaurant is very spacious, i like the idea of a putting television, it adds enjoyment to the diners, that time we're watching news and i felt that i was at home watching while eating filipino dishes. ๐ My first time here gives me a very good impression๐and i am definitely coming back for sure.
This is where we have our lunch or dinner whenever we are in SM San Lazaro. Ambiance is good. Service is a bit slow especially during lunch time. Loved the crispy chicken, bagnet and the crispy pakbet.
I always enjoy their squid inked rice everytime I dined here. Their calamares, nilasing na hipon and pansit were also delicious. As for the price, I think it is very reasonable. The service was fine as well.
A great place to eat. Big serving and delicious food. Their staffs are nice and attentive. One thing I don't like was their place. We saw a cockroach on the other table...i think that they should be clean at all times since they are serving food...
I really like the nilasing na hipon, classic congo fried chicken, cebu lechon liempo, salted egg rice, and chicken in pandan leaves. Too bad that it is a dark place.
