Giving 5 stars for torta delos reyes alone. Do not be fooled by the simple presentation of this cake. It has been named best dessert and has received a lot of praise from critics. It’s a square type cake which consist of 5 layers of wafer with alternating chocolate and butter cream filling in between, then finished off with a dark chocolate ganache with a bit of white chocolate for the logo design. Each bite is heavenly, it literally melts in your mouth. The rich and creamy taste is perfectly in harmony then with the wafer for the crisp texture. This is by far the best cake for me.
Due to the popularity of this branch, the service was slow but it was worth the wait. The food is delicious as always.
chicken bbq, callos and tokwat baboy tastes good and affordable..
I love eating at Aristocrat! The place, the ambiance, the food is just nice! Whenever we celebrate a special event or occasion, we come to this place. May it be with my husband only on a night out or with the kids and my mom. We went here last August 17, after the oath-taking of my daughter for passing the CLE 2019, it was near PICC so this is the best place to go after any event there. The chicken bbq is the family favorite, pancit canton whom my husband really likes, and me, sisig. Here we ordered the classic Chicken BBQ and Pork Spareribs Barbecue (Half), Pancit Canton and Pork Sisig. My kids love their halo-halo and buco pandan for dessert. My husband enjoys having beer as well whenever we dine. We just adore the place and the food!

Super sarap!!! Perfect for family get togethers tapos 24 hours pa? Solid! We got stuck in traffic akala ko di na kami makakapagdinner kasi past 10 na, buti na lang may resto na open ng ganito. Super sarap nung pancit at banana split nila. Will def come back for that ❤️ plus we had a great experience sa service and the ambiance looks nice, maluwag ang place :)
The food is great. Dito kmi lagi nagsCelebrate ng family ko pag birthdays and special occasions. Sobrang sarap ng Cakes nila at ng Sago't gulaman.
The original of the original if you ask me, it's always a ritual for the family to have early mass in Malate Church then head to Aristocrat beside it for Breakfast,
Normal orders would be the Chicken BBQ as always whether with bone or not, the photo though is my staple breakfast order, their combination of Adobo and Longganisa for breakfast,
Nothing beats nostalgia and comfort, will try to add more photos in our next visit.
If you are craving for some old school Filipino food, this place is definitely the one. We went there around 2pm on a Saturday, we were surprised that the place was packed with customers. The food was served quite fast (considering the amount of people ordering). The food was still good like before as if nothing changed from their original recipe.
BTW, whoever invented their peanut sauce deserves an award
If one of our family members crave for Filipino food, we gotta obliged. And when they requests for one, this is the only place that they would love to be at. I am not complaining as I also liked the food here at Aristocrat. Located in Roxas Boulevard, this Filipino restaurant started over 70 years ago and still standing strong.
One of the best place to dine after a flight. Good thing this place is open for 24 hours. We got the hototay soup, honey chicken whole, veggies and ubod. It is very hearty and their service is okay. Due to the volume of customers, you have to catch their attention. The people who dine here just come and go. I love their ubod as it is just soft and chewy; it is good for snack.
You should try the BBQ chicken and Java rice. I loved the atchara (pickled papaya). You should also try their calamansi juice (cold) and their halo-halo. After your meal, visit their bakery and buy ensaymada plus pan de sal. You're welcome :-)
For our last night in Manila, we have decided to visit my husband's favorite restaurant. Short story, so whenever there is a special occasion on my husband's family, they always dine in The Aristocrat in Malate, Manila. So this place holds a special place in my husband's heart. I've never been to this restaurant and pretty excited to try it. Smack in the busy section of Malate, the restaurant is massive. There were two or three entry ways to the restaurant. We didn't have a reservation so we had to wait for a bit. The place was packed and getting a seat for 14 diners would be a challenge. Luckily, we only need to wait like around 10 minutes then we were ushered to our table.
The place is buzzing. Staff are everywhere, serving food or taking orders. We were served by Neo. Ordering was fast. We all had the 3 pc bbq with java rice and also ordered lumpiang shanghai, canton noodles, sotanghon noodles and chop suey. What can I say? Just the bbq itself was yum yum yum already. The java sauce goes perfectly well with the rice and chicken. I can't believe I finished off the entire plate. Serving size was huge too. A special mention on the lumpia shanghai.
If we are to go home again, I'll make sure to stop by this restaurant again. The ambiance, the food and the service is something to applaud about.
I had the American Breakfast Bacon Plate and really enjoyed it. The bacon strips were nice and crispy and the ambiance is perfect for enjoying a nice meal with family and friends or to hold a business meeting. The restaurant is quite large with plenty of seats available even on a busy day. Though customer service could use some improvement because calling for a waiter/waitress always took time.
We ordered the Pancit Canton (Php 375) and all 5 of us were able to share it because of the ample amount of sahog present. We had to call the waiters several times though before our order was taken. It also took a long time before we were served a pitcher of water. As for the whole look of the place, the exterior does not justify the interior so it was a surprise to find out that the place has been renovated. It's a comfy place to dine with the family and from what we can deduce, it is also a good events place for special events.
Aristocrat is one of my go-to places when I am craving for Filipino comfort food. They have long been famous for their chicken barbecue.
We had laing, boneless chicken barbecue with java rice, and fried lumpiang ubod.
The lumpiang ubod was tasty, the ubod was not the freshest though. Also, it is very oily inside. Plus, when they fried it, the oil wasn’t hot enough, causing some of the wrapper to not be as crispy as it should be.
The boneless chicken barbecue was seamless as always. It was tender and juicy all throughout, although the flavor could still be improved. Most of the taste comes from the outside of the meat only, complimented by the “peanut sauce.” Their java rice is the best!
The laing was good. It wasn’t salty, plus you can taste the coconut milk from the dish. It was a bit oily though.
Nonetheless, I still love this place!
Ordered chicken sotanghon soup and chicken pork adobo, it’s a bit bland but the pork and chicken in the adobo are so tender.
The resto is open 24 hours and if you prefer Filipino dishes, then, you”ll be happy with their menu. Kare kare, bbq and grilled chicken are my favorites in this resto.
The resto also has bakeshop which offers assorted pastries and baked goodies. I ordered cheese roll and slice of brazo mercedes and mocha cake.

There is so much to love about this iconic restaurant apart from their famous chicken barbecue 😊 We keep on going back for their chicken honey, sizzling tofu, mechado, crab foo yeung, cliff house, pansit luglog, halo halo, puto bumbong, bibingka and more! There are sooo many food items to choose from and they are reasonably priced! They also have a wide selection of cakes and pastries! Perfect for gift-giving 😊👌🍰 you can even take out their bottled java sauce and special achara!
The ultimate go-to for families over Sunday lunch or merienda time. I love that the food choices are all familiar for a Filipino with big appetite. I ordered the boneless chicken bbq with java rice and mind you, the portions are enough. We also have the pancit canton as starters. The interiors are simple and I love the ambiance of being surrounded by talk and laughter of families, seniors, and friends. Being in this restaurant made me wish to come back again and try the other dishes, kaldereta, kare-kare, dinuguan, laing, and pinakbet to name a few. Oh, there's also a man just outside selling paintings of Philippine landscapes. You might want to check it out.
• what we ordered for breakfast:
- pospas de gallina (120 pesos): it's just like another term for chicken arrozcaldo. It was really warm and big servings, especially the soft chicken.
- coffee (60 pesos). a lot of people were ordering since it was morning so i wanted to try din. oks lang.
- ginataang laing (160 pesos): we always never fail to order this every time we visit. i recommend you guys to try it out if you like the heavy taste of coconut.
overall thoughts:
- best place to stop when you return from NAIA airport because it's open 24 hours + i think the biggest branch
- great for tourists who want to try Filipino food. i prefer their main specialty which is the boneless chicken + java rice.
- tip: don't forget to ask for the java sauce, but you'll be okay even without it!

Originally, one of the first restaurants in Roxas Blvd. Aristocrat is now the most popular go-to chicken barbecue restaurant. They are famous for their Pancit Malabon and their chicken with java sauce. For this visit, my friends and I all decided to get their chicken barbecue meal which comes with 3 pieces of chicken, jave rice, atchara, and java sauce. We paired this with their pancit malabon, and gulaman.
The chicken pieces were generous and perfect for the rice. Each element complimenting the others flavor. The pancit was a rich orange seafood sauce with thick noodles. Squirt some calamansi with it to even out the flavors.
This meal was very enjoyable, the wait staff was also very impressive, they use radios and monitor the guests when they ask for water or food. Will definitely be back soon, pick a window seat and enjoy the view of Manila Bay.
Aristocrat is an automatic option whenever relatives from abroad visit Manila. We would often dine here cause it's the aunts and uncle's favorite. They'd say the food is a good reminder of how Filipino food tastes like.
This particular branch is one of our go to place cause it's open 24/7. The place is big and it's often full of people. As per their service, you sometimes have to call twice before someone attends to your need.
Personal favorite from their dish is their Lumpia, Chicken bbq, Pancit, and halo-halo.
We ate here after my college graduation. It was my very first time to eat at The Aristocrat. The food made me happy tears because of how homey it was. The restaurant is really a Filipino classic and my parents grew up checking out this place a lot. Also, food is really affordable for the family.

They actually have a little bit of everything. They have pastries for to-go and some Filipino food to crave over. But one thing’s for sure. Chicken Barbecue never gets old. But I’m not the type of person who uses their java sauce though. I’m not fond of atsara (Pickled Papaya) either. So no matter how you think it’s bland, I’m savoring the chicken marinade. But in addition, Ensaymada Minis are good to bring home.
AHHH THE ORIGINAL! My parents always told be this is the first (?) ever Aristocrat in Manila. Packed with history, I was so excited to try out this place. The servers were hospitable, so that's a plus. The quarter chicken was ON POINT! The peanut butter sauce is just cherry on the icing.
Will definitely recommend 5/5!
My sister came back fro Japan and before heading to Pico de Loro for a quick getaway. We had breakfast at Aristocrat. One of the oldest branches, they’ve renovated the place and made it bigger and practical for events.
We were all hungry so I only got photos of two dishes which I also ate and tried.
Sizzling Squid (Php 210) it was mostly onions and bell pepper, they also used small squid. Not good for sharing though.
Beef Dinuguan (Php 150) not your typical dinuguan since they used beef instead of pork and they used puto mala kutsinta. But i still liked it, not a fan of dinuguan but I liked it.
I’m still paranoid parking in this area. Heard horror stories about the safety in this area.
Their Daing na Bangus Plate was great. The fish was huge but could use a bit more salt.
It was kind of uncomfortable to have breakfast and dine coming from the heat outside since their ac wasn't working well.
My absolute favorite in Arostocrat is not their chicken. It’s the checkered Torta De Los Reyes - a Chocolate-y, buttery sans rival that is just made of pure deliciousness.
We’ve been buying this since it was recommended by one of the grandkids of the Aristocrat family. Never fails to make us happy. So glad that it still tastes the same. 5 stars for this particular dessert.
We can’t seem to enjoy dining in though. We find the place too noisy. We just get food to go if we can help it.
Right across the Plaza Rajah Sulayman, Malate Church and the breathtaking Manila Bay, no Pinoy foodie adventure is complete without heading to this Grand Dame of all Aristocrat.
Filipino food reigns in Aristocrat.
This restaurant started the Reyes food empire based on their iconic Chicken Barbecue, Java Rice and the peanut sauce!... and the atchara too!!
The carcinogenic chicken barbecue are also served in other Reyes' restaurants like Reyes Barbecue, Alex III and Serye but nobody could beat heading to this original branch of Aristocrat. Maybe it's the Manila breeze that gives some saltiness to the air that you could easily be equated to patis, Aristocrat Malate would be part of the food pilgrimage for people heading to Manila.
There would be other Filipino menu items that are crowd favorites: Chicken Honey (they used to have it served in a crispy potato basket), Pansit Canton (pa-Canton ka nga!), Crispy Pata, Kare-kare and the Lumpiang Shanghai. But all of these are just side dishes compared the Aristocrat Chicken Barbecue.

April 25, wednesday.
4/5 ❤️❤️❤️❤️ 4am after baclaran church endeavor, this restaurant has stood up the test of time with its iconic branch in malate.
Yes, its 24hours, and its serving our favorite, lumpiang shanghai, pansit canton and bbq, sagot gulaman. :) all below 1,000 pesos.
The only downside is its often crowded and sometimes, having hard time to bill-out after eating due to so many guests. Staff are friendly and smiley despite the late period of the day.
Keep up the good work. :)
Since I was a kid, Aristocrat is one of our go-to restaurant if we want Filipino dishes. As years passed by, food is getting tastier.
We ordered: Sinigang na Hipon, Crab Foo Yeung and Halo-Halo Special. Food was great. Really yummy. However, they do have small servings. But the Halo-Halo is really the best.
This is for home delivery. Delivery guy was polite and food was delivered prior to delivery time. The food is also properly packed.
Also want to mention that they have 24-hour delivery which means that you can call them anytime even when you crave for quality food at midnight.
Overall, service and food is beyond quality.
I have noticed this place has mixed reviews. I have been to other aristocrat branches and found them to be terrible. However this branch was a refreshing surprise. At 10.30 pm on a Wednesday it was packed with people young and old. Everybody seemed to be enjoying themselves too.
The place was clean and there were so many servers and waiters it was great. There was kind of a happy party atmosphere we are all glad to be there.
I ordered the famous chicken BBQ. It was really good and for 210 extremely good value and you might note from my other reviews I rarely say that.
The rest rooms are plentiful and clean also.
It is easy to see why it is packed with people even at such a late hour.
Food is delicious. It really showcases Filipino cuisine, so I give it a 5/5. It’s reasonable that the place is always packed. Sometimes you would have to wait but it’s worth it. Price is okay for me—more expensive than fast food chains (duh); I get what I pay for so I have no issues with it.
1st time here, I ordered their pork barbecue and it was ok, meat is not too tough. I heard their 3 pcs. chicken barbecue meal is worth the price. Order it if you're really hungry. Tried their adobo sandwich but it's not for me.
Ive probably eaten here about 3 times..the 3rd one being an intimate celebration for a family member..but here is my first review of the legendary restaurant.
It has got to be one of the largest resturants in the city..albeit its humble begining as a mobile canteen in Luneta in the 1930s serving sandwiches..has grown into one of the well known names in the restaurant scene. Success led to putting up this restaurant along Roxas Boulevard serving good Filipino food 24 hours 7 days a week.
Its signature specialty is Chicken Barbeque (with the most delicious Barbeque sauce in sachets) paired with Java Rice and " atchara ". Honestly im not a big fan of Chicken Barbeque but The Aristocrat's version is the only exception!
The KareKare was also good, rightfully thick and nutty paired with shrimp paste. The Crispy Pata was okay, quite tasty but not outstanding.
Their Pancit Canton is loaded with toppings, actually quite decent, as well as their fried chicken--somehow reminds me of the Chinese Resto style fried chicken of the local restaurants.
The beef caldereta was okay, though the meat was a bit tough. Calamares as appetizer was just okay.
Staff was friendly and parking is rightfully available.
I equate Aristocrat Malate with Lent and my late mother-in-law.
Lent , because it had been the family's tradition to eat halo-halo after visita iglesia at Malate Catholic Church on either Holy Thursday or Good Friday and Halo-Halo is my late mother in law's favorite among other things in Aristocrat.
Sometime last month, we found ourselves in this sprawling branch of Aristocrat which seem to me like a confusing maze of restaurants within a huge complex of a restaurant.
Ambiance is non existent. Service is dismal as well. Its like eating in a huge carinderia with aircon.
But their chicken barbecue, java rice, special peanut sauce and atchara are the best in the metro. Chicken which comes in 3 pcs in one stick are barbecued fresh. Yes you have to wait like 15-20 minutes but its well worth it. And their halo-halo, yum!
Yes there are wonderful memories associated with this decades old restaurant. It remains a family favorite.

Been going here since I was little.
Sadly, their service is going bad. We were trying food we haven’t ordered before and the waiter who served us had no clue what’s in their food, not to mention was quite rude
Only a few restaurants can rival The Aristocrat as the default, all-around, go-to, authentic Filipino restaurant. No frills, no eyebrow-raising modern fusion gimmicks. Just your dependable, close to homestyle goodness comfort food.
Service: 2/5
Food 5/5
Ambience: 4/5
Washroom: yes — clean and they have liquid handsoap and tissue
Bagsak ang service!!! Serving time & food accommodation is definitely a must for improvement. Kuya guard saved the score coz he is nice to escort us with an umbrella lol
Servers are worst— you have to call different servers in order for your request to be attended and they forgot to serve java sauce (with peanuts) which is ideal for your bbq meals (as in numerous follow-ups ugh)
Food is a top notch and serving was great.
We have to cancel our precious Leche flan coz it takes too much time for them to deliver.
:( sorry pregnancy cravings but have to let go
I came to realize that i’m not the only one who posted about their tragic service
Recommended foods to order:
Pancit canton
BBQ platter or BBQ combos (pork or chicken)
Ginataang kalabasa with shrimp
Calamares
Sago gulaman
Mechado 💜
Kare kare
Fresh lumpia veggie roll
Leche flan
Pastries!
Ambience & Service:
Restaurant is spacious but very full at dinner time. Long business hours is a big plus here. Servers are friendly but at our last visit, they took awhile to serve one missing order of Gulaman at Sago.
Food:
We usually order Pork Barbecue, Chicken Barbecue, Chicken Honey, Clubhouse Sandwich, and Crab Foo Yeong. Whether it's dine-in or deliver, the food quality's always good.
Barbecues - have epic java sauce (also sold separately). Make sure to check your barbecue; sometimes it's undercooked inside.
Chicken Honey - has excellently thin and crunchy skin
Clubhouse Sandwich - can serve 1-4 people (each triangle cut being tall).
Gulaman at Sago - sweet & just right
Pinakbet - BEST veggies ever!
We always come for the chicken barbecue. I like that their java sauce is not overly sweet but more nutty. I always get the boneless chicken barbecue and the meat is always perfectly cooked and juicy. On the side is their atchara that's also not too sweet and brings the perfect balance between the chicken and java sauce. I also like their house blend iced tea.
This place is big but always full so we had visits wherein we waited so long for our orders to arrive. Recently, our orders arrived swiftly but the servers were everywhere. They hurriedly took orders, sent orders to the tables and attended to requests which also made us feel like we had to eat quickly. But among those servers was one who happily served our order with a big smile (sorry, I wasn't able to get his name). I also think they need to reorganize their dining layout. Also, they have 2 entrances wherein when you enter the entrance facing Roxas Blvd. you'd get confused as to how to ask for a table. They'd just direct you to the other entrance. The over-all ambiance of the restaurant is as if everything's a rush, a bit chaotic, and noisy.
Despite the not-so-good ambiance, we always come back for the chicken barbecue!
One of our go-to Aristocrat branches whenever my family wants to get together with our relatives.
Funny thing is that we never ordered group set meals (though we are huge 12-15people) and so, yeah. They always ordered a la carte and extra extraaa rice! The foods I loved most about Aristocrat is their signature Boneless Chicken Barbecue. Don't forget the Java rice and BBQ sauce! Oh so heaven. And also their chopseuy is one of THE best too.
The restaurant is spacious since I think this branch is the biggest among all of the Aristocrat restaurants in our country. Love their take away counter, chairs, interiors, etc. Staff is very friendly and approachable, especially when it comes to SC discounts.
It's been a long time already! Would love to come back!
old grand mother of Filipino Cuisine. all balikbayans must visit place for reunions. must try kare kare, sizzling pusit , sinigang soup, fresh lumpia ubod , crispy pata and dpnt forget bbq chicken with java rice is bucket list dish. desserts puto bumbong sarap. place always full even late nights. service simetimes can be snail slow so need angelic paitience if you wanna taste thier world famous chicken BBQ. although banawe branch in quezon city constantly empty but its an hour drive so guest living quezon city suggest go banawe
Nothing beats an institution like Aristocrat. Java rice, chicken or pork barbecue, achara and their delicious peanut sauce.
This branch is so big but because a lot of people go here, there's still a queue so make sure to go a little bit early. I don't really know when their off-peak hours are because we went here like nearing midnight during one Sunday but the place was still packed.
Other than their signature barbecues, they do have traditional Filipino dishes.
One of those places you go to because it has started as tradition and over the years it has become a stop whenever one is in the area! My Dad used to bring us here as we cruise by Manila Bay, going to Harrison Plaza or to any place in Old Manila. The Aristocrat has continuously satisfied us with staple Filipino classics. The chicken barbecue is still my favorite with the calamares and sinigang! And there is still so much to feast on with family and friends as there is always room for Classic Filipino desserts to finish off our meal!
There's nothing compared to the chicken barbecue they make! Whenever you're in Malate, Aristocrat is a place you must visit!
Food (⭐️⭐️⭐️) - They are best known for their sweet and savory chicken barbecue. In my opinion, nothing can compare to their chicken!
Price (⭐️⭐️⭐️) - A bit pricey but hey you'll get what you paid for.
Place (⭐️⭐️) - Aristocrat is always packed with hungry crowd. You may found yourself waiting in line to be seated, but if you're lucky, you'll go straight to your seat.
Should I visit again? DEFINITELY. If I have the money for their chicken barbecue 😂
A restaurant that serves classic and traditional Filipino dishes & home of the best chicken barbeque in town.... Aristocrat is the only thing you can think of! Probably the most crowded & visited branch because of it's location but the staffs really try their best to serve each tables as fast as they can. My recommendations are; chicken barbeque, kare-kare and kalderetang baka. Would love to try their breakfast meals also next time! They also have a bakeshop and offer a lot of goodies! I personally like the chocolate cake slice❤️
Ala Carte Meals are big/plenty enough for one person, especially their barbeque dishes.=)Can be shared by two.
Ambiance and customer service were ok.Great foods and worth every penny.Ideal for family gatherings.=)
This is the biggest branch of Aristocrat that I've been to. Good place to celebrate an occassion at a reasonable price. They still serve the best chicken bbq and pork bbq. This is were I celebrated my graduation and treat my frinds. So many memories in this place.
Overall, one of the best restaurants in the Philippines for traditional Filipino food. They're doing something right since they've been around since 1936. Known for their pork and chicken barbecue, Aristocrat's other dishes are just as delicious. The pakbet, lumpia Shanghai, crispy pata are some of my favorites. Lunch or dinner meals should always end with their Halo-Halo Special. Breakfast is just as scrumptious with their homemade longanisa and tapa topping everyone's favorites. My fiancee is addicted to the atsara (pronounced: uh-char-uh). Several lications make the food available for everyone, however, the Roxas/Malate original location is my favorite even hough it can get crowded and sometimes you have to wait longer for the food. Only drawback is the aircon needs a serious upgrade. #Hi5 #ch5
when we have the chance to go to malate we always go here :) their food taste delicious and offers different menu one of the things i like about the restaurant is that they are open 24hrs when my mom visits philippines she often goes here as well :)
