What a place.... We were just walking by and seen some crowed... Great food, fantastic staff, drinks are even better.. Such a nice experience by accident. I truly recommend this bar to all!!!

Good food. Great crowd. Probably the best pub this side of the town. Too bad it's not open 24 hours.
Home away from home. Great ambiance. Equally great food, drinks, and company. My chill place in Manila.
I have no regret chosing the place coz my friends love it!!! Foods and drinks are good and at the same time very affordable. Staff are nice and very accommodating. Most of all we get to reminisced high school life and enjoyed a good laughed because the place is not too crowded nor noisy. Highly recommended
This Is My Home. The Only Place Left In Manila To Have A Decent Conversation.
This is a great hang if you want good libations & scrumptious bar food, intelligent conversation, caustic humor, the thankful absence of ktv, unpretentious ambience, and periodical exhibits of art on the wall.
The best watering hole for journos (local&foreign)
A true community hangout and refuge for journalists, photographers, medical students, the odd diplomat, and dedicated observers of life as it is.
The place to go and meet cool and nice people and if you're a Journalist or Photographer even more so!
You haven't been in Manila of you haven't been in Oarhouse
Use to go there 30yrs ago, almost every night with my International School Friends., do you still have the bumper pool? Same owner? I use to know them really well.visiting next month from New York for more memories, see you . Cheers!
Been a guest of Oarhouse for a long time. Delicious food, warm company, comforting music, relaxing ambience. The place is welcoming even for loners like me. Ask for their specials, the owner takes pride of his take on Southern American cuisine. Craft beers are worth a try too. Also happens to be one of Anthony Bourdain's favorite spots. One of the best places to be in Manila.
Our go to place for everything! Best burger in town! Probly the only place one can have a grrat burger with a side of isaw or tenga. Good sisig, chicharon bulaklak and kinilaw too. All your comfort food under one roof. Reasonably priced too.
Good and affordable food and drinks. Loved chilling, chit-chatting here for hours with a friend.
Great vibe on a Saturday night and the small brick-walled space is just cozy. The window seat near the entrance door probably is the best spot, especially to people-watch in and out of the bar.
Recommended dishes/drinks:
Isaw Platter (daaamn good!)
Nachos
Margarita on the rocks

I’m going to be biased on this one. This quaint pub has been around for us since I started college at UP Manila. They serve great cocktail pitchers for a fair price! I do miss their other cocktails since they stopped making some kinds when the old bartender left. Our favorites include their eggplant parmigiana, pork barbecue, and chicharon bulaklak. You can eat this with their garlic rice too!
A nice place in a busy town...good ambience nice staff lovely food...with a nice company of friends..and must say it's pocket friendly...so this place is must to visit if u in malate.....👍👍🙋
Hidden gem! Except a few foreigners, it seems quite a lot of local ppl go there too, atmosphere was good, I like their craft beer, the only bad thing for me was all kind of fishes weren't available on that night but we had a BBQ pork belly and it was tasty!

We always go here with my friends. When we were in college, we'd go to the nearby Bellagio Square 'cause it's for the youngsters haha but we matured, got tired of the rowdy, loud ambiance. Later on, we'd rather just chill here and have meaningful convos. And if you're looking for that kind, I recommend everyone this place. We always order cocktails like the amaretto sour or margarita with my girl friends. Their grill bbq are awesome also, though pricey like 20/stick of isaw, however it really is very tasty and bigger than what is sold in the streets. Going here is more of due to the ambiance, the staff are welcoming and nice, and ive never been here when it's loud. You could really catch up and have a nice time with your friends without having to shout at each other when talking.
Oarhouse has been in the business for many years. It is considered as one of the iconic resto bars in Malate. Crowds were mostly yuppies looking for a quiet and cozy place to chill to. Perfect for groups or even for sole chillin 😊. Food is good especially heir sizzling Bulalo with mashed Potato and side veggies ( wish it'll be bigger and tender next time 😊)
My friends and I went here to have a chill night-out. I found the place thru Zomato and suprisingly, it lived up to the expectation. It has an old fashioned ambiance with well dimmed lights that sets your mood for perfect conversations. The food was okay. It's somehow pricey compared to other pubs. Other than that, it's nothing to rave about. We ordered nachos but after hours of asking for follow-ups, we decided to switch orders instead. We got two rice meals: Chili Con Carne and Crispy Tofu. For the pulutan we got 2 orders of Chicken Isaw which is by far the one of the best in their menus and the Cheese Sticks with it's own blue dip which was awful when mixed with the cheese sticks itself as it tasted bitter and oddly weird. For our drinks, we ordered one pitcher of their bestseller, the Amaretto sour in a shake. And then we ordered beers and mule to cap the night. Overall, this place is good for friend hang-outs. I'd definitely recommend it to people who like chill drinking.
The Old-fashion-local-pub ambiance, the most friendliest staffs, the tasty draft beers, and cocktails. It's an experience.
It's not "fancy" but it'll make you feel at home. Whether your hangin' out with some friends, or maybe just wanted to get a quick night-cap, Oarhouse is definitely a great place to relax and unwind from the busy streets of Malate.
I never had dull moments in this place. Always Remind me of some good times.

Got there as it opened, was seated near a/c, staff was very friendly and helpful, food was good, margaritas were great, price was fantastic, 5 of us ate and drank beer, shots, and pitcher of margaritas for under 3000 pesos!!
Oh! It was a great evening spending my first night of October 2015 with friends. Nice place to come with after work. Cheap but great food bar experience! Laugh trip with the staff! 👍👍 two thumbs up!
I may be pretty biased because this is our favorite pub to hang out after a long week. It's near the university and most of the people are students or residents from PGH. It's generally homey and quiet but occassionally there'll be a group of screaming kids that'll fall negotiating down the stairs 2 hours later. The drinks are pretty affordable, the food is good, and the staff are super friendly. It's a nice place to be.
HOLE IN THE WALL: Classic Pub
The Oarhouse is one of Malate's old yet classic pubs. It gives off a vibe that can only be described as bohemian, which was a term that the Ermita-Malate area practically coined back in the day. This is one of the few legitimate pubs left from that era. (Although there is a movement to get the area back to its original roots.)
I have been going to this place for quite some time now because it is right in my area. On weekdays, there never fails to be at least a couple of tables occupied or some regulars seated at the bar. On weekends, it can get pretty packed! It is a small but cozy establishment with an assortment of quirky decorations scattered about. They have artwork displays that change every couple of months. It is never a dull place to be.
The food is classic Filipino comfort food, with a variety of choices on their menu. I could not seem to get enough of their Beef Caldareta back when it was available (I think they've removed it already huhu.) They have expanded and updated their menu as of late last year though and I am eager to try their other dishes in the future.
As for the drinks, my female best friend and I would always go for a pitcher of Amaretto Sour that goes for only P320. They range from P320-350 for cocktail pitchers. You can probably get about 6-7 glasses out of one. I do warn though, the Amaretto is sweeter than most versions of the cocktail but that is the only version I seem to enjoy the most. Their other cocktails are pretty good as well, but one I would not recommend is the Oarhouse Sling - the one time my friends and I tried it, it was our last as well. (It tasted too funky!) Beer costs between P50-65.
The service is great - they are friendly and quite attentive. The waitresses immediately tell me if there is Amaretto available or not even before I ask! (Probably because I am such a regular. Haha.) Of course though, on busy nights if you are seated on the second floor, it may be a little more difficult to get their attention.
Overall, I have never had a bad experience at the Oarhouse and it will always be one of my favorite pubs to just get together with friends. I am giving it a 4.5 and have been recommending it to my friends and people who want to explore the Malate area. It is a hidden gem.
The Oarhouse has always been my Dad and I's go to place for some Saturday night drinks and catching up. Beautiful place filled with great people.

Very similar to the bars in Cubao expo; cheap, great setting and atmosphere; good food (particularly the kinilaw), great staff.
Worth coming back to.
Been here several times this year
Most recently during the Pope's visit while waiting for Roxas Boulevard to open (going to Sofitel)
The highly recommended binagoongang rice was no longer available.
Had sisig but colleague said that she preferred the sisig of Gerry's Grill or Dencio's
Great place to hang out after a hard day of work/school.
If it wasn't because of my friend's photo that was included in an exhibit
at Oarhouse, I prolly wouldn't knew this place exists! Haha. Loser me.
This 2-storey pub was adorned with antique picture frames, brick walls,
in-can drinks, paintings, mirrored wall (which gave me an 80's barber shop
feels), old-fashioned bar stools, and a huge LCD tv. Something old, something
new. Something borrowed, something blue. One of their cornered walls was
dedicated to art exhibits and my friend was ecstatic to have her photo got
included on it. Yipee! :D Since I was with my photographer friend, we were able
to meet the humble owner of the pub, Mr Ben Razon, whose father was the one who
started the famous Filipino-owned Razon's. We were all thrilled when we
discovered that my friend and Mr Razon both hailed in Pampanga. Yep, yep, small
world! After the chat with the owner, I instantly felt at home. He shared that
PNoy's photographer was seated few tables away from us and from there I knew
that Oarhouse is a home of artists - true-blue or aspiring ones. And I'm sure
the artists are glad that Oarhouse is there to showcase their talent.
We were assisted by Evelyn who smiled at us sweetly like we were regulars.
She was very accommodating and never missed our requests.
This is the perfect place to chill after work; perfect place to catch up
with friends without shouting at each other because the music's volume was just right;
if I were just living around the area this could've pass as my 3rd home, next to
my favorite coffee place. The food and drinks were affordable. The place was
centralized but you can smoke inside.
We were billed around P600 for a pitcher of Amaretto Sour, plate of
Nachos and few rounds of beer. Truly affordable!
Time of visit: 14 Nov 21:30
Seafood salpicao and Crispy Tofu are great combo. The not-so-blue blue cheese sticks are a new favorite.
We go here at least twice a week after work just to spend time until the road clears of traffic.
Best place to chill out with friends, where you can drink imported and local alcoholic drinks and they also have quality food. Nice ambiance. i like the set up of the establishment and the paintings on the wall are nice.
This place is good for those people who doesn't like noisy crowd.
Oarhouse is my go to place in Ermita. I go there to have a nice quiet night with my girlfriend and you can also meet up with all your friends and have a great night. The food is great and the beer is cold. Bar chow is the standard fare with constant rotating specials to keep you wanting more.
Had the new Zeland baked mussels and sizzling spicy sausage. Fantastic. Beer so cold it makes your teeth hurt haha
Ice cold beer, good food, good people and ALL FRIED razmatazzzzz! !!
OK ang beer
OK ang pulutan
OK ang pwesto
OK ang sound
OK ang presyo
rock and roll !
Oarhouse is probably my favorite drinking place in the manila area. The food is good, the beer is cheap, the crowd is not jologs. If you appreciate good music (rock n roll good), football matches and art while getting drunk in a legit looking pub in the metro then be sure to checkout oarhouse. (unless you're from the tugs tugs persuasion then you're better off somewhere else.)
