My go-to place for a quick craving fix of either sushi or salmon sashimi! Would highly recommend their Beef and Chicken Misono as well. You’ll be pleasantly surprised with the shop’s affordable pricing yet quality Japanese food! 😊
Really nice food, especially the price considered. The place is a little small and is more a fast food place than a restaurant. We were full and happy when we left. Definitely a visit worth.
Love this place. Doesn't claim to be authentic because its not, but its enough to satisfy your Japanese cravings when your budget is not much. The tuna is a bit fishy for me, the salmon is pretty okay. Sushi rice is also passable. Love their California maki. The rice included meals are okay.
Definitely not an authentic Japanese restaurant, but definitely one of the best Japanese restaurants out there! They have a lot of menu items to choose from, and you can never get tired of them. California Maki is one of the best.
Most restaurants in Binondo offer Chinese cuisine. Sushi Yum in Benavidez particularly piqued our interest as it's the only one of its kind in Chinatown featuring Japanese dishes and specializing in sushi. My family and I had dinner here and we were in for a treat! 😊
The dining room looked very simple and there's not too much space for large crowds. However, turnover of customers is quite fast since the staff also served food quickly, so they’re able to accommodate more customers who come in batch by batch.
We ordered a few of our favorites. The platter of tuna and salmon sashimi was the best. The raw fish were so fresh and texture was really good, too. Sushi tasted like a bomb of tastes to our palate. Everything was indeed yummy. We loved each order and would like to return for more next time. There are so many more interesting items on their menu to try. Prices are surprisingly inexpensive and truly reasonable for their value.
this place is small and clean. The food are affordable and delicious especially the mixed veggie tempura, katsudon rice meal and chicken teriyaki rice meal are a must to try! Delivery is cater within the community.
Well , this is my fave japanese resto in binondo why? Because of its mouth watering taste , the sashimi is always fresh well for me haha!!! Medyo traffic nga lang dito.
Will recommend this to anyone.
Found another favorite! Very affordable Japanese food at the heart of Chinatown.
•Best salmon sashimi with large portions considering the price (155 pesos, come on)
•Tuna maki has a little lansa taste to it, but big portions as well, very filling.
•Hubby's fave is the honey-glazed chicken bento. Chicken still tastes like chicken though smothered with honey sauce.
Too bad tokoyaki and okonomi is only available for snack (only until 5 or 6pm).
Will def come visit again for more!

I love Japanese cuisine!
and finding a decent japanese place in Manila was excellent for me. i mean the food is not prepared by japanese so cant say its authentic japanese. but its good enough for me.
stuffed my self with sashimi and california maki.
the place is fairly priced and service friendly and quick.
a recommended place if you are in binonda area
A small Japanese restaurant in binondo which I used to pass by going home from internship. We ate lunch here today not the first time for my aunt and diko but it was for me. Those two are really picky eaters so when they say its good here it's really good. We order a bunch of stuff ebi tempura, gyudon, mix tempura, breaded fish fillet, some chicken dish and of course my favorite salmon sashimi ❤️❤️ . The food was good. The sashimi was bomb it was fresh and the prices are very affordable. The only off thing is that there's no parking area.
To be honest, hindi ako fond ng japanese food. This is exceptional. Masarap ang sashimi, honey-glazed chicken, breaded fish fillet, calofornia maki and un salad. The food was great. The red ice tea was okay.
Masikip lang ang lugar. Mabagal ang service. Natatagalan kami sa orders namin.
We came here by accident when we parked our car in front of their place to go to another store. But I get a peek of their sashimi and could not help but drag sort-of-permanent roommate to at least have appetizer with me.
We ordered the salmon sashimi, tuna was not available. It was pretty good for its price. The salmon was sliced really well and pretty generously. A little bit cold but so much better than the one we had in a Japanes buffet before. The awesome part is that it's pretty cheap compared to other places.
We're super excited to come back and try their other food.

A hole-in-the-wall Japanese restaurant in the heart of Chinatown, and the only one in the area. Sushi Yum serves good quality and fresh Japanese food at an affordable price you can't believe it's true.
Do not be dismayed if you find very few customers dining in. The manager told me that about 70% of their customers order for delivery, which they do around Binondo.
I love their sushi and sashimi because they are made fresh. Tempura and misono are also good. Curries are authentically Japanese. My mom loves maki, and sushi yum is my go-to place for all her favorite Japanese dishes.
Sushi Yum was kind of a hole in a wall Japanese cusine restaurant in Binondo. The ambiance was great although the place was a bit small. So for the food, it was beyond my expectations! :) we had ordered california maki, tofu steak, salmon sashimi and pork katsudon with rice. All tasted great and their food does not cost much (unlike other well known japanese restaurant that would charge very high rates) !
The salmon sashimi was better than what i was expecting and it tasted fresh! It does not have a smell that some fishes have. This is totally a must try in the restaurant! :)
As for the california maki, it also tasted great but there was nothing extraordinary about it :))
As for the Tofu Steak! It is definitely another must try in this resto. The tofus were big and it was fried to be quite crispy on the outer side but was soft and yummy in the inside. I love how it was served perfectly with its sauce!! :)
Lastly, we had pork katsudon, (no photo though) it tasted better than the pork katsudon in Tokyo Tokyo. :))
So far, i would definitely return to this place to try out other selections from their menu. Everything was beyond my expectation and it was great to have a japanese restaurant near my house which is budget friendly!! :)
When I am in Benavidez area, I always see to it to have some fresh Japanese treats from this restaurant. Though not really a fan of Japanese food, I always loved thier sushi platter most specially their tamago sushi and California Maki.
For a solo lunch out, I had tamago sushi (just the right amount of sweetness and the feel of it being made out of fresh egg ingredients) & fish and vegetable tempura (well coated breading on fish but i expected it to be towards more on a well done texture than soft while for the veggies, flavorful mix of veggies covered with crispy batter mix).
I love their California Maki, tlI forgot what kind of ramen that we ordered taste is so-so, since I am not a fan of Japanese food I am still trying to appreciate the Sashimi (-_-")
I have dine here several times already and had a great time after, I love the soft & flavorfull Beef Misono, the Tofu Steak in mushroom sauce and the Ebi tempura and most especially the tempura ice cream for my dessert. the foods here are delicious and at a very affordable price. you must try to believe .:D
