the place hasn't changed much in 20 years. food likewise remains topnotch. if you want authentic and affordable dimsum, this is the place to be.

Food was great! Service is fast. Perfect for big groups but great for dates as well. Not too pricey. The only downside is that the place is too crowded and they were long lines when we arrived. Can be difficult to find at first especially if you're walking from other places like Chinatown Mall. Otherwise a great experience. I highly recommend their dumplings and hakaw. I'm not too impressed by their noodles but the duck tasted great.
Not so many good news is coming out of China nowadays. Their continued practice of modern communism, the latest Corona virus epidemic, their issues with international relations, etc. But whether we like it or not, the influence of the Chinese people is evident almost in all corners of the world. You can also find them in most, if not all countries. One fine influence of the Chinese to all of us though, is their cuisine.
HK Cold Milk Tea
At first sip, HK Milk Tea Cold will provide the earthy flavors of tea but it will later give a refreshing and milky flavor that is a bit addictive. By far, HK Milk Tea Cold is the best milk tea that we tasted. HK Milk Tea Cold costs Php 60.00.

Food is always good but at time unavailable. At some point, one would question the cleanliness of the place but that’s understandable.

Wai Ying is the reason I love Chinese food and dimsum. When we went here, we had Soy Chicken and Hakaw. The chicken was tender and flavorful. Their hakaw was the best. The food was affordable but the place is small so it may get cramped at certain times.
Ordered wantan hofun was good 5/5, Suchow dumpling 4/5.Egg tart 2/5, seafood roll 5/5.service 4/5. Value 4/5.

The waiter who accommodated us was very nice and very keen to detail. I love how, despite the crowd, he was still able to serve us promptly. Tha food was amazing. The dumplings are siksik but not quite available. Will come back here soon!!
If it looks, smells and tastes authentic then it must be authentic. Wai ying screams authentic Chinese food! My family and I enjoyed the food and the snappy service. The only downside is the waiting time for table availability. But overall it was an amazing bonding experience for me and my family! I'll be back for more of those siomai.

Favorite beef curry siomai (3 pcs) and HK cold milktea. I keep coming back to this place even tho I live 100meters away from the store. My friends from Taguig they keep missing the food here and want to come back for more. Servers are always busy so don't expect a fast service.
Restaurant is so delicious that you will travel from north to south, to end of the ocean just to eat here.

There was a long line of people waiting when we came and we have to list our names to get a table. It took 30-45minutes before we got ours but it was WORTH IT. Seeing them how they chop and prepare the food from the window was already mouth watering. Dumplings are nice and big. Siopao sauce is the best. We will definitely go back here. #worthit
I've been eating here since I was in high school and this is just my favorite chinese resto in the area. I always get their minced beef rice - the same as the beef balls but molded like a burger patty. They also have good fried wontons, congee and dimsum.
This was definitely a must go to place when doing a food crawl. We ordered hakaw, chong fan, bean curd, and their beef wanton soup. This restaurant set the bar pretty high for the entire trip. Their hakaw is definitely a must try, in my opinion. Everything we ordered exceeded expectation but the hakaw was the star of the show. I’ll definitely go back to just buy hakaw.
My ultimate go-to authentic Chinese place ever since I was a kid. You can never go wrong with their dimsum- reasonable price, hefty serving, and overall delicious. Apart from the dimsum, I suggest you go for their soy chicken rice topping. Or if you're a tad hungrier than usual, you can add asado to it. Definitely worth it 👌

One of best chinese fastfood we have tried. The food tastes too delicious for its price. Sadly, there is no parking directly in front of the restaurant. Nevertheless, I would still eat here again and recommend this place to everyone.

The food tastes great (we ordered some rice meals, wanton mami, siomai, and hakaw) plus they have big servings too so sulit talaga :) we got a table as soon as we arrived and they served our food just a few minutes after we ordered!
Our main go-to, be it for family dinner or just craving for some Chinese food. We always order fried wanton and fried rice, with the occasional fish ball bihon soup or hakaw. Giving it 4-stars because they need to improve their overall ambiance.
Wai Ying is A MUST TRY resto in binondo. It might be small and a bit crowded plus you have to wait in line, everything is so worth it. Walang tapon.

One of the binondo classics, waiying remains one of the top binondo eats.
We ordered the pork and century egg congee(you can have it split to two). Steamed wanton, shrimp chongfan, and curry beef siomai.
The steamed wanton is one of my favorite comfort food as it is tender and very flavorful, dip it in some soymansi w/ chili and it is perfect. The congee is really good as well specially with century egg. The shrimp rice roll is a must try if you havent tried it before. And the curry beef siomai is really good, crispy skin with tender minced beef. The curry sauce is really good too, it is the same curry sauce they use for their curry beef brisket.
Must try when in binondo.
Wai Ying is a “must visit” for me every time I went to Binondo. Never meet someone who hate the combination of good food and fast service! My favorite is the Curry Beef Siomao.

I’m not a fan of this cuisine but this one’s an exception. Always my highlight every time we go to Manila area. You should try their raddish cake and milktea!
We went here during a weekday holiday and place was packed. We were 6th in line for lunch time and got seated after 30 minutes.
This is an April 2019 review so here is what we got:

We originally wanted lumpia, but it got lost so we just cancelled it. What we ordered above was already more than enough though.
Asado congee had the asado and egg at the bottom of the bowl waiting to be scraped for a surprise; so scoop that congee up before eating! :)
Chongfan was mildly seasoned yet reminded you of shrimp heaven. Hakaw was dry, but I guess we didn't eat it soon enough after being served causing it to dry up.

The best siomai, spare ribs, pechay, hakaw & fried rice combo i have had in yearsss... I am surprised there are unassuming chinese food nooks / restaurants in the area that serve delicious chinese dishes! Im not really into chinese food but to be honest, the food is really good!
Note: The place is a bit cramped and there is no parking space. And try to come a bit earlier, patrons and customers tend to flock the restaurant during peak hours, because the food is really good! 😊😊😊
Our go to place for dimsum cravings. Love their honey pork rib and beef brisket curry. Long lines will not discourage you from waiting. Worth it!

Capping off our Binondo food crawl and saving the best for last—Wai Ying! Me and my friends went here for dinner. What we had:
YANG CHOW RICE- No need for ulam because this alone is superb! Servings is good for two.
SPARERIBS- Best served when hot.
SOY CHICKEN- The sauce is delicious. Best paired with the yang chow rice.
HAKAW- Shrimps weren’t fresh, but still good.
SIOMAI- Tastes so-so, a little bigger than the usual.
Will definitely come back to try the Lemon Chicken.
Wandered in Binonddo with my friends and we didn't expect the long lines because we went there at 4PM but we didn't wait long enough and managed to snag a table.
Beef mami was the best among what we ordered. The soup was really tasty, not your carinderia soup that put knorr cubes just to have a taste.
Just okay are the following:
-Hakaw
-Bean Curd
-Chicken Feet
-Siomai
We also ordered Lemon Chicken Rice, i had high expectations in this because of the positive reviews, but it was no extraordinary for me.
The staff are attentive but maybe because of too many people to accommodate , they forgot my request to clean the floor underneath our table because there were used bottle, and few trash and little bit wet.

I always eat at Wai Ying whenever I'm within the vicinity of Binondo. The food is delicious and affordable. I always order their thai pao for take-out which I think is good for 2 persons. They also serve house tea!
Everything is just good, quality, and comforting food.
Open until 2am. Ordered the japanese siomai and pork siomai both really yummy. Get the soy chicken with rice also. Hot salad and mantou bread were not too oily and tasty. The condensed milk for the mantou bread costs an extra 20 pesos huhu. Service and cleanliness could be improved. Definitely a must try resto in Binondo!
It's a go to place for everyone who wants a quick bite. Their dim sum is not as good as other nearby restaurants but atleast they give you free soup! Just ask.
This is definitely one of the restuarants in Binondo that you shouldn't miss.

And also, aside from the duck they have this Lemon Chicken Rice. Super panalo! Parang nagsayaw yung dila ko sa sarap. Kakaiba yung lemon sauce nila, manamis namis na may kakaibang kick ng asim. Must try ito guys!

Another good find in binondo. a must to be visited if you are around the area. the place itself actually is not very appealing but the food will make up for it. Siomai and hakaw ftw! Side note, try to avoid going there on weekends, its really crowded.
Today we went to Divisoria for some errands and thought our trip wouldn’t be complete without pigging out at Binondo. We came to Wai Ying at around 4:30pm and surprisingly we were 6th in line. Wasn’t expecting so many people at that time but nonetheless we got seated not long after.

Soy chicken with rice - 5/5
Asado siopao - 3/5 (typical frozen siopao that was steamed)
Beancurd roll - 5/5, very dense, highly recommended
Hakaw - 5/5, lots of shrimp!
Steamed spareribs - 5/5, non-greasy and flavorful
Milk tea - 3/5, just because it tastes ok, nothing special
Lemon tea - 3/5
The crew were also very accommodating and our food were served fast. However the place looks outdated and needs a thorough general cleaning.

The authenticity of Chinese cuisine is there. The foods are good. Ambiance of the place is average--- just what is expected from a traditional Chinese restos in PH. Just have to upgrade in their utensils and other things in the resto.
We had our late Valentine's/ Chinese New Year date here last night. We had to wait, since full house sila. Yes, ngwait kami but not that too long. Ambiance is not so good pero malamig. We had Chicken Asado, Fish Fillet(👍), Hakaw and Wanton Mami, and it's really good, but quite pricey (800 yung bill). Service is good but they are not smiling (understandable kasi pagod sila).

The Best Milktea ever! Since I was preggy lagi kami kumakain dito at hindi namin pinapalampas ang pag kakataon.. Medyo volume ang Tao kanina, but still very accommodating ang staffs 👍 Hakaw is ❤ also, Gong Xi Fa Cai!
I used to go here a lot when i was little. I would remember eating their mouthwatering asado and leaving the place wanting for more (we had an extra order of take out asado). so when i came back here a few years later, and many pounds lost, i couldnt help but reminisce the fond memories i had here with my family.
We ordered bola bola congee, asado chong fan, and soy chicken mami. service was quick and friendly. they don't call it wai ying fast food for nothing! delicious on all aspects. will come back here definitely!

Been eating here for more than 10 years. Slight changes have been made over the ears. The place may still be slightly unkempt for some people but for the majority, its still ok. Used to love their guchap mami unforntunately its phased out. But their BEEF CURRY RICE and STEAMED CHICKEN MUSHROOM RICE is still my all time favorite. Though the beef is sometimes inconsistently cooked, sometimes tender and at times hard to chew. The taste and serving size is definitely worth the price.
As part of our Binondo food crawl, Wai Ying was our third stop. It’s never going to be complete without Wai Ying. The authenticity was there. The crew was nice. Although one thing I noticed was their utensils which should have been rinsed properly.
The food was well proportioned. A must try for me would be their Hot Prawn Salad and their dimsum of course.
The ambience isn't as nice but despite that, the dismum and noodles are great, rice meals too, they taste authentic and also not as expensive.
This is my favorite restaurant whenever I am in Binondo. The food is soo good even though the ambience is like a cafeteria.
Roast Duck Rice - A must order. Fork tender
Asado- The BEST, I like the sauce which isn’t so sweet for my liking. Just like the duck it is fork tender.
Radish Cake- Crispy on the outside and full of flavor on the inside. This looks pretty simple but it is full of flavor.
Noodles- Broth was flavorful and the noodles are al dente which is a good consistency.
Milk Tea- Different from the milk tea shops, but this has the “chaang cha” full of tea flavor. Value for money and not too sweet. A MUST TRY

Truly a marvelous hidden gem in Binondo. You won't regret getting the super crispy Fried Dumpling for PHP 180. I've also tried their Radish Cake and it was tasty too. Never forget to enjoy a glass of cold milk tea with your dimsum as well to fully enjoy the experience in Wai Ying.

I am an avid fan of their noodles, congee and dimsum via grab food app, compared to other chinese fastfood in their area, they really know their business, they know how to package their take out orders so it can arrive fresh!

I first went here with my guardians when we explored Ongpin St. and someone recommended this place. I must say, the food is affordable and delicious. We tried the hakaw, wonton mami, chicken feet, and pork asado. The service was great — angel, who was our server was efficient in giving our orders.
A few months after, I brought my friend here. We enjoyed the egg tart, mami, some other dimsum dishes, and milk tea.
As a student, it’s in my budget. Note: Just don’t go during rush hour, it becomes very packed with a lot of people and you have to wait in line to get a table.
BFF and I had our Binondo Food Trip and Wai Ying is on our list. I remembered dining at Wai Ying a few years back and wanted to relive the flavors of their roasted duck.
We ordered Roasted Duck with Asado Rice and Beef Siomai Curry. For the Roasted Duck, it is delish very tender and hindi malansa. The beef siomai curry is okay but for a curry person like me I think medyo kulang lang yung kick. The servers are actually nice and attentive. Serving time just took around 6 mins waiting time.
It was our first time to dine here in Binondo (specially in Wai Ying) It was completely out of curiosity since I’ve seen few posts from my friends about this fastfood; also, I am not much of a Chinese food fan.
Their place along Benavidez street has limited seats. They have prompt service though so we did not wait that long to be seated.
We ordered Roasted duck, Hakaw, Soy chicken, Black Gulaman and Fried rice. Everything was on-point. It gives justice to the value of your money and the serving was not so bad too (except for HAKAW. I think I can eat 3 more sets! Lol)
To top it all off, It was a good experience. Will deifinitely come back 👍🏻

Wai Ying is a really famous place in Binondo so expect long lines. The usual waiting time to get seated is about 15-30mins. I suggest you browse through their menus already then order so that when you get seated the food will be ready. It’s my first time to try roasted duck and surprisingly I really liked it!!! The asado sauce added a flavor to it that made it really good. The hakaw is also one of the best I’ve tried so far. But I wouldn’t suggest their milk tea coz it’s a bit watered down and it doesn’t have any pearls. It’s also a bit hard to get the attention of the waiters because the place is usually packed.
This is perhaps one of the busiest chinese restaurants here in Binondo, known for their affordable meals and consistent quality. During our visit, we were lucky that the lunch hour just passed so we were able to find seats easily. You will notice all the servers are in a rush and that food is served quickly.
We ordered the Roasted duck with Asado Rice, Lemon Chicken Rice, and a variety of their dimsum.
The roasted duck was tender and seasoned with a soy blend and star anis that blended well with the rice. The lemon chicken was crispy and coated in their lemon sauce, I was surprised that it wasnt oily at all. Their dimsum was really good, steamed hakaw, chicken feet, and those taro puffs.
Dining here is always an experience, and while it cleanliness can be improved, the visit it worthwhile.

SOLID. #1 Chinese restaurant sa puso ko. Worth it puntahan kahit may kalayuan. Ibang level yung hakaw, parang nakita ko yung langit kahit saglit. Tirik mata sa sarap lalo na pag mainit. Hindi ko masyadong bet yung roasted duck, depende na lang rin siguro sa panlasa mo. Sobrang sarap din nung beef mami nila. That’s my standard. 140 lang busog ka na. Over the weekend my team and I decided to brace ourselves and visit our all time favorite Wai Ying. We ordered our staples such as Soy Chicken , Fried Wanton, Hakaw, and Fried Rice.
The soy chicken in Wai Ying has got to be the best soy chicken here in Binondo. I've tried a number soy chicken and nothing beats the one in Wai Ying. It is fairly cheap for the size and flavor they offer. Meat is tender and is always accompanied by their soy based sauce and scallion oil. I always recommend this dish to my friends and it never disappoints. The fried wanton is also one of my favorites and it is always served fresh from the fryer. The wanton is packed with a generous amount shrimp and meat. It is very juicy when you bite into it. I like how it is crispy and the taste is a balanced savory goodness. The hakaw for me is also good but it does not stand out among our orders. It also contains generous amount of shrimp and comes in steaming hot. Fried rice also well prepared and serving is enough for 2 to 3 pax. It fits perfectly with our order.
Overall, I always have the best experience in Wai Ying. Location is quite hard but that is why they have other branches. The food and service is consistently good and price is fairly cheap for a good meal.
This is our go-to place in Chinatown! There was one time when we even drove from parañaque at around 12 midnight just to eat because of the food and it's open till 2am.. I love their congee! We always order that along with fish fillet rice, radish cake, and meatballs etc...

Dimsum? Wai ying is a good place to start! Classic place to get dimsum with all the binondo charm. Get into deep debates about which binondo chinese resto has the best dimsum, or partoculat dishes like beef ball and siomai. Wai ying will definitely be amongst those in contention.
Accompanied a couple of friends to shop at Binondo and that alone got me excited for Chinese food! With the abundance of restos to choose from, we decided on Wai Ying. Definitely had to order my fav Sweet & Sour Pork, Soy Chicken and a few orders of Dimsum of course. The food is always good and flavorful and you’ll have enough energy to continue with your shopping spree right after.
I recommended eating here to my Fiance after seeing the rating and price range of Wai Ying in Zomato.
We ordered Beef Mami, Roast Duck Mami, Chicken Feet, Hakaw and HK Milk Tea (Cold). The food reminded me of some of the dishes I tried at HK. The Roast Duck was nice and tender, as well as the Chicken Feet.
The restaurant was clean and cool. But be careful as the floor near the restrooms are quite slippery. Overall, it was the best meal we had. Not bad for first timers at Binondo

Must-try: lemon chicken as it is cooked extremely crispy and tasty (but not salty) with thick batter, radish cake cubed and diced fried crispy with hoisin sauce, hakao filled with lots of shrimps, hamsoikok although a bit oily, pork and century egg congee to fill you up!
Milk tea is good also, get the cold one.
Beware though: not the cleanest place around. Pero masarap, promise! Haven’t tried their suckling pig and duck yet though.

Let me start with the parking space. You may park at the Benavidez/Soler parking. Thanks to Waze for this. I paid 60php for the parking fee which is kind of expensive since we only parked for about an hour. But yeah, better than street parking.
We were actually searching for the “must-try” restos in Binondo. We really wanted to try those that are authentic and cannot be found in the malls or elsewhere but I also did not want to choose a place which I’ll regret after. Again, thanks to Zomato! I check the well-rated restos in the area and I chose Wai Ying.
When we arrived at the place which was a few blocks away from the parking, I easily identified the place because of the blue wall paint and I remembered to have visited it already years ago but it was dinner time so the streets are dark.
Since we came from Divisoria shopping, we arrived HANGRY like we literally were annoyed by each other’s presence. Lol! We then picked what we felt was delish.
We had ROASTED DUCK/WHITE CHICKEN RICE, ROASTED DUCK RAMEN, STEAMED SIOMAI, and HAKAW which is my favorite dumpling!
I had a wrong idea of the “white chicken” haha! In Singapore, there’s the chicken rice which tastes like that of a Haianese chicken rice. But at Wai Ying, it’s a combination of white chicken and roasted duck as viand. The rice is just plain white rice. I was expecting that the roasted duck comes with a chicken rice. 😂 Sorry, my hangryness had to be blamed. Lol!
The place was packed at time of visit but I was surprised by the fast serving of the orders. The Hakaw came last but that’s fine. I ordered HK Milk Tea (cold) to complete that Chinese food experience. The food is 👍🏻👍🏻!

The moment we walked in, I knew the place would serve good food because we had to wait in line to get seated, at 11:30 PM! My husband and I ordered Beef Curry Brisket with rice, Soy Chicken with rice, steamed wontons with shrimp and hakaw dumplings. My husband loved the Soy Chicken! The Beef Curry Brisket was tender but not the way I prefer my curry to be. But the Hakaw thou! Wow! It was soooo good that I actually ended up eating 3 orders by myself! The best part is they are open until 2:00 AM and the prices are very affordable! We spent less than Php 1,000 and we were sooo full!!! Will definitely go back!!

You know those restaurants that are just so memorable you sometimes just daydream about a particular dish? Wai Ying is one of them. This little resto came highly recommended by my peers prior to my first Binondo trip. Paul and I walked around Escolta and Binondo so by the time we decided to get lunch, we were ready and raring to eat. I had the roast duck Mami, he had roast duck and white chicken rice, and we split an order of hakaw and buchi. Paul also had a lemon coke.
First things first: Wai Ying seems to be always full, even after the usual lunch hour. Thankfully the staff lets you list your name, and they have a few seats inside for those waiting. They're friendly and efficient so that's a plus.
The resto interiors remind me of an old diner. But it's not fastfood like ordering at the counter. Rather, waiters get your order once you're seated at the table. I think this is really nice and you don't really see that kind of service in smaller restaurants.
The hakaw was really good. It had 2 plump shrimps inside each dumpling!! Man, I could eat hakaw all day. It deserves its spot on the Spot PH list of best hakaw. (Btw I need a Binondo visit specifically for this hakaw hunt).
The buchi was one of the best I've had and it's so sulit! The size, the texture of crunchy sesame seeds against soft rice...it's a dream. Probably not as good as Kowloon House's but it's great. Huhu I miss it right now.
Now on to the mains. Take note that this was my and Paul's first time eating duck.
Paul's duck and chicken rice was good! The flavor of the duck and the sauce, the rice, the light flavor of the chicken (which might be a tad too bland)...it was good. Don't get me wrong. But man hahahha it pales in comparison to my roast duck Mami. Even Paul agreed! I just loved the texture of the skin, the roast taste getting soft in the soup...And the noodles were just right, the broth was AMAZING, the veggies were just the right amount of fresh/cooked to be palatable. What's more amazing is that even if you're full from the meal, you think you could eat some more. The tastes are light but not bland, rich but not cloying. It's all very comforting.
Giving it a 4 until we get more of their menu items! I love this resto and I am definitely coming back!
