Love the service here. Fast and nice. I ordered my all day breakfast bangsilog aka boneless bangus along with garlic fried rice and two egga. The bangus was deep fried and very tasty to the bone. Mixed all the runny eggs and fried rice with the atchara and hot sauce. Superb.
After mass, we decided to dine here. This branch is one of the most frequented branch as per my observation, literally people just seemed to be fond of this branch, when a group leaves, another group will just enter. Service then was a bit slow as a consequence but I felt their sincerity when apologizing.
We've had their classic family chicken which is timeless and really best paired with their signature banana ketchup and worcesterchire sauce. We've also had their chopsuey for veggies and an order of their kare kare rice bowl just to sample if their version is good. We were already expecting though a mountain of rice and just a piece of meat as it was the case for their other rice bowls but we were quite happy with this branch's kare kare rice bowl as the meat isn't only a piece but you can see a number which balances with the amount of rice. Taste wise it was also good. We liked this.
For dessert, we've had a box of cream cheese brownies, box of meringue and a slice of their chocolate and banana cake. We liked all these four too.
The chicken seems to have gotten smaller or is my appetite just got bigger? Still good filipino food, the crispy pata was enjoyable as well. I almost forgot the cauliflower pops were awesome! Definitely get it when you visit. Nice place to dine (even if you eat solo), and right after your meal you can chill at the baywalk, which is literally just a few meters away.
Went here last wednesday night, the place was too crowded, the food was great as usual, but the service kinda sucked because, I tried calling the attention of the staff a few times but they just avoided me, luckily Vic was there, he's the only that really cares about their customers.
Just across our favorite go-to restaurant is another go-to restaurant whenever my family wants to celebrate yet another special occasion.
No doubt that in Max's, I liked their homegrown Filipino cuisines that are always served hot and fresh. I also appreciated the feel of the place when it started raining and their location is just across the Ped Xing & Manila bay. My favorite dishes are the Sinigang sa Hipon and their bestselling chicken with banana ketchup. And also, this is my favorite branch in terms of ambiance.
P.S. This was 5 years ago, I think this branch is being renovated as of the moment.
Max's serves the best fried chicken ever! Many have tried to create their own max's fried chicken version but this one is really different. I hope their chicken recipe won't change. Also the most affordable and classic restaurant that caters Filipino dishes.
I've been here a hundred times, I think. Max's Fried Chicken is so tempting that you would not try missing it even a single bite. It's fried to perfection. Add up their very own Kare-kare and Sinigang that are my all time favorite. Their serving is good for a family of 4. Prices are quite affordable. Definitely a must try for everyone. 👌🏻👌🏻

Celebrated Max's Unli Chicken!!! For only 229 pesos!!! Every Friday from 6-10 pm :) Dine in with your friends and loveones to enjoy their chicken & bottemless ice tea!! Their service is good, the employees are very polite & friendly :)
I got to try their chicken sisig the other day and I came away impressed. The taste and quality was top notch. I also tried their pork binagoongan. While I have had better, this one really tasted good.
There are times that I crave for all-time Pinoy comfort food and when that calls out, one od my go-to places is Max's Restauarant. Good thing they are scatterred all over the metro so its not difficult to find a branch.
So in this particular craving call, we were near the Ermita area and we came to their Remedios branch. It was early lunch time and it will soon be packed and we got a seat at a window-side area.
We got their half order of the family fried chicken and the Sizzling Tofu. Can't find fault with their fried chicken as it is truly "sarap to the bone", dipped in banana ketchup with Worcestershire sauce. Yum! While the Sizzling Tofu was so much better this time around because of the absence of too much oil/butter in the sizzling plate. There was almost none this time but yet the taste was just the same. And the serving size was good for 2-3 pax for less than php 200. Winner!
The aircon did not quite reach our area because it was the cornermost but it was still bearable. The scenery from our area (Baywalk and the sea) made up for it.
The service staff were all busy but they still delivered great service. Kudos!
I love Max's and have eaten at many of them. The menu is extensive and the quality is great.
If you are after a light meal or lunch they always have combo meals which vary depending on the time of year and seemingly by branch.
The interior of the restaurants is well designed and even with low prices you feel like you are in a restaurant and not a fast food place which the combo meal prices are comparable to. It's also a place you can celebrate an occasion as they offer larger sharing meals.
I don't think you will find a Filipino who doesn't know Max's but for visitors try it out and take along your local friends they are guaranteed to enjoy it.
