The experience was great because the staff is friendly and they accommodate us immediately. The room service was on time when we ordered at their restaurant which I'll give Hotel Benilde a big thumbs up for fast service. As well, the beds are very comfortable to sleep, it feels like I'm laying on a cloud. Overall, it was a great stay and I would go back here again.

My experience at Hotel Benilde was truly memorable. The room was comfortable and the food was delicious. Overall, I enjoyed my stay. I would definitely come back!
My second time to stay here, it was as lovely as the first time. The room was beautiful, clean, and smelled heavenly. The front desk clerk was very accommodating and the engineering staff was so kind and patient with me when I couldn’t get the TV to work. The breakfast buffet was delicious, had all my favorites. Will definitely stay here again!!!
Good food, good price We were served by attentive staff and treated with huge respect. Will definitely go back!

During my recent staycation with my mom and my daughter at Hotel Benilde, we had our meals at Cafe Romancon. Our staycation at Hotel Benilde was extra special as my daughter, #ExhibitA, and I were looking forward to spending some quality time with my mom. For some time, Mommy has also been requesting for an outing where “three generations” – her, me and my daughter – can just be together.
I don’t know about you but when I do staycations, I try my best to just lounge around and enjoy the place where I am staying. You see, when you go on a legit vacation, most of the time you don’t get to enjoy the hotel or place where you are staying. You are always out and about, going on tours and doing activities. And then when you get back to the hotel, you just take a shower and get on to bed. Thus, you really don’t get the full experience of the place and its amenities.
We are giving you a cozy dining suggestion because we are about to leak a good resto find just in Manila and not to mention, a great hotel destination for your staycation. Here's my review about Cafe Romancon located at Hotel Benilde Maison de la Salle. Situated at the hotel lobby of Hotel Benilde Maison De La Salle, the ambiance itself is perfect for family lunch out and friends' free time hangouts! I've been passing uncountable times at this hotel but it was just a recent discovery that they are open to non-lasallian staffs and students. Yes, they are open for everyone who wants to try their dishes!

While staying at Hotel Benilde, you need not look far to find comforting and delicious meals for your lunch or dinner. Cafe Romancon's selections of a la carte dishes are sure to whet your appetite. Even if you just live, work, or study nearby, the contemporary ambiance of this restaurant just located at the ground floor of Hotel Benilde will surely invite you to a sumptuous dining experience as they are open for walk-in guests. You'll find regular employees and on-training students greeting and serving you.
If you're itching for a break like Tim and I were a few weeks ago, we suggest checking out Hotel Benilde. It's a great option if you're looking for a getaway within the city. I mean rather than spending hours in the car or stuck in traffic, book a room here instead and enjoy its sleek, state-of-the-art features and facilities including high-speed Wi-Fi Internet access, a plunge pool, gym, a 24-hour business center, and more. Aside from that, Hotel Benilde Maison De La Salle is located in Malate, one of Manila's bustling and historic districts, which makes it the perfect starting point for exploring key destinations like Malate Church, the Manila Baywalk, and the National Museums.
Dinner was quite remarkable. Price points were really affordable for the ambiance and portions were obviously given priority. Mia and I finished all we ordered from Cream of Butternut Squash (Php 130) paired with Marinated Grilled Vegetable Salad (Php 120) to Sizzling Brownies (Php 225) for our sweet ending.
In between, we had tasty Seafood Linguine, a bowl filled with shrimps, calamari, mussels and fish sauteed in olive oil, garlic, and tomatoes and Friesan Express (Php 350), a hanging tender dish with side seasonal vegetables and fried potato wedges.
If you happen to be in the area of Taft Avenue, I highly recommend a meal here. It is a location that separates itself from the rest in the area, with prices intact and reasonable.
Cafe Romancon isn't just Hotel Benilde's breakfast buffet area in the morning. It actually is an all-day dining restaurant that can be enjoyed by walk-in guests as well. Meanwhile, checked-in guests can enjoy their dishes inside the restaurant or in the comforts of their room by ordering via phone. The dishes I tried were the Cream of Mushroom, Kani Mango Salad, Penne Carbonara, Norwegian Salmon, and Sizzling Brownie.
✔️Two-way salmon (grilled and sesame crusted)
Salmon was a bit bland or lacks seasoning specially the grilled salmon (I would suggest a bigger portion of fish) but the ponzu sauce really hits the spot.
7/10
✔️crispy pork loin
Pork loin cooked perfectly, the ponzu sauce cuts the fattiness of the pork loin but the squash puree(?) is VERY bland
7/10
✔️baby back ribs
PERFECT.

The roasted vegetable salad in this restaurant at St. Benilde Hotel had a delicious, sweetish salad dressing. The Salmon Two Ways--seared sesame crusted and grilled--was slightly dry and didn't seem like it was really cooked two different ways. However, the intriguing and colorful bed of mashed green peas as well as diced, smoked bacon and ponzu glaze were delightful accompaniments. The black forest cake was well executed in appearance and the taste was all right. I took a half point away for their not asking for our drinks order.
It has always been a great dining experience when celebrating special occasions or just having a buffet meal here at Cafe Romançon!
The Japanese buffet meal we had today was delightful especially to my wife who really loves and craves for Japanese cuisines.
I would definitely always recommend this to friends for them to try out.
Food:
Appetizer: Benildean Roasted Vegetables PHP 130.00 (I love roasted vegetables with cheese it makes them taste different from the regular cooking...they are a lot sweeter)
Entree: Crispy Pork Belly PHP 350.00 (It was fried the right way and ...not oily just crispy and tasty...warning you will probably forget your on a diet!)
Dessert: Crema Catalana PHP 80.00 (taste is good...but I think it was over steamed that it felt like an omelette)
Drink: Royal on the rocks PHP 93.00 (A good pairing for the main dish...but any wine would do)
Total: PHP 690.24 (WITH VAT)
Ambiance: modern cafe fine dining feel with hints of orange pieces
Service: Unknown name (friendly waiter, knowledgeable with the food we ordered...also gives request on time)...sensitivity with hand signals when it comes natural with Filipinos...which I am definitely proud of :).
