Love their cheese tteokbokki! However the place isnt clean enough bc there are cockroaches roaming on the floor and one time on our table ๐ Hope they address and sanitize the place properly!
every sunday i go here with my family. they had an unli side dishes but they changed it to just two servings. their food is really delicious and they serve authentic koren food. a must try for everyone who loves to eat korean food and who loves to try out new cuisines!

Everyone has its own lapses and misses but I will give 5 stars still. We arrived very early in the morning around 7 am so there were no customers yet. First floor was clean but we were greeted by a smell coming from the kitchen. It was understandable. No sign of AC being turned on. We headed to the second floor. It was clean and smell was fine. A patient woman welcomed us sincerely. We went straight to the hanboks. Some of them were not ironed, crumpled, but cleaned. I tried the red dress and I asked for the headdress which the woman painstakingly went back downstairs and handed me the cool black headdress with a butterfly wings ( I dont know). It was really fun. I really enjoyed taking photos in every nook and cranny of the place. After the food was served, we decided to break off from taking pictures and ate. I forgot the name we ordered. But it was delicious! There were side dishes which I was able to appreciate. Btw, you have to order worth 350 pesos ( each person) to be able to wear the traditional costume. According to the woman, there is a 500 peso deposit but she exempted us from having so. You can use the depost amount to pay your bill.
Anyway, I really enjoyed the place. The funny thing is, we frequented the place not because of the food but because of the excitement of wearing hanbok. Overall, my 2 hr time was worthy. The place was cool; food was delicious; and kind staff. Thatโs all that matters at the end of the day. ๐๐โค๏ธ
Able to enjoy this moment.. feels of korea and the hanbok experience was soooo amazing!!!
Did some vlogging here: https://youtu.be/uqYuAxqgfwE
Hoping to visit here again with more friends :)
Hi I just wanna ask kung open po ba kayo today? balak po kasi namin mag celebrate dyan ng birthday ng bf ko po. thank you poo We wanna try to wear hanbok and First time din namin mag try ng korean foosds... Sana po may sumagot. thank youuu
I love this k-restaurant! Affordable and mababait ang mga staff tapos may pa-costume pa. Nakakatuwa talaga. Meron grill pero mas gusto namin ng daddy ko yung upuan sa 2nd floor. #Busog #Recommended
Five Star... 5 star, at the first place, doesn't mean it is perfect. Yes, there are shortcomings and flaws like the cleanliness of the CR and the professionalism of the crew, but the total dining experience is excellent.
First of all, let's talk about the price. Yes, a bit expensive, but value for money? it is actually good value for money.
2nd, there are defective Hanbok in the standee... but what is Jonglo all about? It is about the food they serve and the price itself already fits to what we, customers, SHOULD need. and total Korean experience was just made something special, with their "extra and special service" - allowing you to wear Korea's traditional clothes - Hanbok.
3rd, With regards to the attitude of the crew. First of all, as customers, we should also know our servers. Every one of us should be people skilled, specifically in Reaction Management. We were served well awhile ago. And the P350 per head requirement to wear a Hanbok, I got a P300 worth of meal and my wife got a P250, and we were allowed to wear the hanbok. Just be nice and empathize with them. Find their weak spot, they'll be more kind to you.
And lastly, total Korean dining experience, it was indeed EXCELLENT.
Some improvements: Cleanliness of the CR. But it is just minor and can be fixed by the management.

The food here is very delicious. It is really a korean food without other mixed dish unlike other restos that change the style of korean foods. The ambience is really nice even though its too small yet you will feel that you are in korea. You can also hanbok for free.
well, the food and the clothing.. its definitely a 5 star ๐๐
me and my boyfriend were both full.. Sulit talaga. We ordered the omurice, don kat su (?), steamed man du (like gyoza), and sang gup sal (sangyupsal). We also enjoyed dressing up with the Hanbok and taking pictures..
In terms of the place.. its not the coolest and not the most comfortable place though..
In terms of the service, its a mehe.. may ok na server may hindi. Yung isa is parang nagseserve lang sa carinderia, no hate though. Approachable naman sila kahit papano. But, gaya ng ibang reviews dito.. di ganun kagaling makipagusap sa customers...
Food is good, i love their japchae, kimchi jiggae and the meat. Although you cannot grill on your own, the meat is tender and juicy. I like the ambiance, and we've got to wear the hanbok multiple times since there are only few costumers when we ate there.
Masarap ung food, mejo matabang lang ung soup saka meat, parang walang seasoning. Pero fav ko ung cheesy spicy rice cake,un ung babalikan ko for sure.
Yung staff mejo awkward. hehe pero ok lang naman ๐
Iโve been here twice already. Best cheese tteokbokki and japchae so far. Wala lang silang griller for complete korean barbecue experience though. Servers are not well trained, pero polite naman so keri lang.
Been here twice already. The food that they serve is really authentic korean cuisine. Kinabahan pa nga ako kasi akala ko walang romanization ung menu. ๐ and parang walang korean grill kahit korean resto sila (or maybe dko lang napansin?) they also have korean costumes sa 2nd floor. Better to go here at night para hindi mainit. Anghirap magtry ng hanbok sa tanghali because they don't turn on thd aircon at the 2nd floor since they usually have few customers pag maaga pa. :)

We had dinner in jong lo to celebrate my gf's birthday. She is really a fanatic of korean foods. Thats why we chose this plaace. We enjoy the dressing up of hanbok, korea's traditional costume. For the food, i can say its good but just almost the same with other korean resto. The service for me is also not quite good., the crew seems dont want assist to us hehe. But overall not a bad dining experience.
Been here thrice already.
Keep coming back because of their korean costume which you could wear the hanbok for free while waiting for the food or after eating.
They serve good food as well.
Service was improved from my last visit. My sister enjoyed the place.
I'm not really a fan of korean foods but I love spicy foods so when my bestfriend told me to try korean foods since I'm a kdrama fan, I seached for most visit korean restaurant in manila and I found this! The foods are delicious and the kimchi is not that spicy and soo good. Another thing that will you make feel like you're in korea is that the ambiance and ofcourse I finally got to wear hanbok (Korean Traditional Outfit) and it was fun! ๐ Though the smell of the dress is so bad๐๐. You are only allowed to grill at the 1st floor but if you're not in the mood to cook/grill, then you may go upstairs and just order already cooked foods.
Foods: 8 out 10 (They don't offer unlimited meat and only solo order but very affordable since per solo order is good for 2-3 pax. I thought they serve foods longer than I thought but it was like less than 15 mins and voila! Maybe it's because the guests are quite few that time)
Cleanliness: 4 out of 10
Staff: 5 out of 10 (They dont smile and I was expecting they will greet their guests once they comes with the famous "Ahnyeongheoseo" sorry for the wrong spelling)
Time limit to stay: No time limit and you can stay as long as you want
But in all, I had fun and will surely come back next time ๐
Staff were attentive, ambience and food is average. Price very affordable plus free han bok photo op. Restroom clean. No parking available for cars .
We had so much fun! Maybe beacuse we arenโt bored because we used to dress like a korean empererors & empress. The food is okay and the ambiance too. Staffs are friendly and nice.
So I craved for teokkbokki.. Im not familiar with places so I just look here where the nearest korean restaurant, if they are still open (around 10pm) and can deliver. Good thing I saw your restaurant.
The delivery is fast. They told me 30-35 mins. But it only took 20 mins. ๐๐
Teokkbokki and kimbap has excellent taste!! ๐๐Plus there's (free) kimchi and radish.
Thank you!! Will definitely order again ๐๐ค
I'm a patron of Korean restos and I can easily say that Jonglo is one of the best. Price was fairly cheaper compared to other K-restos and the taste was authentic. Servings are good for sharing and the ambiance is great. You'll definitely be eating the Korean way. The best part of it is that you can borrow the traditional Korean costumes for free to make your experience complete. ๐You can take photos here that are IG worthy๐ค We'll definitely be going back for more ๐
Its been awhile since i reviewed. Was so busy with my fellowship duties. My sister visited me, so this calls for a korean dinner night. We headed a few blocks away from my condo along jorge bocobo street, a street where hole in the wall authentic korean restos are lined up. My personal favorite is Jong Lo.
We ordered their sugogi (bulgogi) kimbap (120pesos) and their cheese teokboki (250pesos -good for 2) Their kimbap was tasty, i love how their meat was tender and sweet. Teokboki is a elongated rice cake, it was served with cabbage pieces in korean spicy paste topped with mozarella cheese. Over all, korean cravings statisfied! ๐
Very accommodating staffs who will even volunteer to take a picture of you . and since we are actually not familiar with korean foods the staff even suggested what to order and they are indeed delicious . the place is clean considering it to be an old establishment and also well ventilated.

Food is nice. Service is fine, too. There were just some small flying insects that landed on one of our side dish. I don't know what it is or where it came from but we didn't care much. We just enjoyed wearing their hanbok, really!
my favorite one in here is ojingo dupbob, its very good to me, but parking space is always fulled by their several motor cycles and they dont care that customor have a hard time to try to parking car at there.
Negatives first:
1) they have no parking. So you'll be better off hailing a cab going there, just don't bring your car.
2) terrible comfort rooms. It's clean, but it doesn't have bidet nor restocked tissues. The seat cover is not present either.
Positives:
1) Food is okay. They'll suggest to you their dishes if you're unfamiliar. Their rice cake could be better but their meats are actually good.
2) Cool place. You get to or atleast try to experience unique Korean atmosphere. You get to fit Korean dresses too but you won't be able to use it while eating.
3) Friendly staff.
4) Reasonable pricing. The 2 of us ordered around P800 worth and we're stuffed. We even had to take out some leftovers.
A cozy place with spicy great yummy food, a must-try. ย Plus the Hanbok bonus is so much fun. ย The place not only offers authentic experience, but great service as well with really clean facilities.
Two thumbs up!
Their spicy rice cake us a must try.
If you are looking for an authentic Korean Restaurant then you must visit Jonglo and experience korean food while wearing Korea's traditional clothes - Hanbok. :)
