Went tried the Fried Squid with Salt and Pepper, Beef Tenderloin with Black Pepper Butter Sauce, Yang Chow Rice, Japanese Siomai, Birthday Noodles, Dimsum Platter, and Lechon Macau.
Their Salt and Pepper Squid was a bit bland and not too enjoyable to chew.

But the Lechon Macau is super sulit and sarap!

Birthday Noodles have super big serving and overflowing with meat and vegetables. I love this kind of pancit (saucy and very flavorful)

The Beef Tenderloin with Black Pepper Butter Sauce, as expected, was sweet. We enjoyed it. I, not being such a fan of sweet dishes, didn’t touch it much. But with my few bites of it, the beef was good.

Their Yang Chow Fried Rice, though, was lovely. It lived up to the line: “Rice pa lang, ulam na!” And Mr. Choi Kitchen’s dim sum are always good choice. Their Hakaw and Japanese Siomai were of good quality and addicting!

This is not my favorite place but Ive been here many times already. I enjoy the orange chicken and the fried chicken. Chilled taho is my favorite dessert while siomai and spicy chicken feet is the best starter for me.

Foods here are delicious! They serve variety of foods. But one of my favorites is their pansit, my sister also loved it. It's just a bit expensive though for their other dishes.

I ordered their congee with fish fillet and beancurd roll with oyster sauce and I love both. It's already good enough and close to those I've had in chinatown. It's actually hard to find a good chinese restaurant especially in malls where it's overpriced, quality isn't really close to those chinatown counterpart and serving is small. Glad that this restaurant is here to save people from makati lol

Been frequenting this place every time I am craving for chinese food. But this is the only visit I can truly say my heart is truly satisfied.

We ordered:

1/2 Yang Chow - thinking that this would be enough for 2 hungry individuals on a diet. True enough, the serving portion was just right.

Cold Cuts Combination - filled with childhood favorites: sea weeds, soy chicken, roast duck, asado and century egg. Served with ginger and hoisin sauce. It reminded me of the appetizers served during Lauriat luncheons and dinners with family association meetings.

Ripe Mango Shake - they did not scrimp on mangoes on this one.

Value for money: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Eaten here for many times already and my favorite is Mr. Choi's Dimsum Combination 😀 This restaurant js kind of expensive (pricey) but the food will justify its price. The foods are delicious. No bad experiences while I'm dining. Great service. Nice place.

Mr. Choi Kitchen used to be one of my go-to Chinese restaurants when I was still in High School. I even remember turning some fancy chinese restaurant down for my High School Graduation dinner just so I could eat Mr. Choi Kitchen’s Hot Prawn Salad.

Some time last week, I pleaded the bf to accompany me to their Waltermart Branch since we were in the area already.

Since we were both on a “diet,” we only opted for our mutually extreme faves: yang chow, sweet & sour pork and a serving of pork & shrimp siomai each.

Their yang chow tasted super bland even with the toppings. The sweet and sour pork doesn’t taste as good as it did before, which made me sad. (props to them though because unlike other popular chinese restaurants, their sweet and sour pork consists of “leaner” pork cuts, and not mostly fatty pork cuts) The pork & shrimp siomai, on the other hand, still tasted like it did the first time I tried them. However, it took them approximately 25 minutes to serve our siomai—as in we were almost done eating since it wasn’t cooked yet according to the waitress. They only informed us that it was going to take some more time /when/ we followed it up.

giving this branch a 3.5 because their service is quite lacking and because the food doesn’t taste as “authentic” anymore.

My go-to order here is their wanton noodle soup. Everytime I'm sick, I crave for this. Their soup makes me feel better instantly.

I have also tried their congee and I love it too.

We originally wanted to eat and explore Little Tokyo but we had trouble finding parking and so parking at this mall was so much more convenient.
We came late on a weeknight and were seated straight away. With hungry bellies we each ordered a dish and when they came out they were so generous in size that we couldn't finish it all so we got take out!
All our dishes were very tasty and the baked asado dish was huge! Way too much for one person so we all shared it amongst us. By the time we finished we were so full I felt like I was at a buffet lol! All in all good food with friendly service!

Not the best Chinese food out there, but still good enough considering the rice toppings and noodle soups are reasonably priced for everyday meals. Their specialities actually taste good. While on the whole they seem expensive, in truth their servings are HUGE. For a group of 3 people, 2 viands would be kore than enough.

I havent't been in this restaurant for quite some time so when I got to try it again, I am reminded of how I loved their food. I ordered my usual beef with brocolli and I would say that this ranks up there. Their beef is soft and tender and the sauce makes you want to eat more rice. I will definitely consider going back here for more beef with brocolli.

Mr. Choi Kitchen has been around for years.  They serve Cantonese food without MSG.  My favorite is the lean meat congee with century egg.  I craved for this everyday when I was pregnant with my first child.  I also like their birthday noodles, salt and pepper spare ribs, sweet and sour pork, steamed prawns with garlic.  The service at this branch is good.

I love this place!!! I love the lemon chicken and sweet and sour pork. They need to improve on their service because it is a bit slow and ironically it is even slower durian off peak hours.

I love Sweet & Sour Pork and I believe Mr. Choi Kitchen serves one of the best that I've ever had. Their food are fairly cheap and surprisingly good. Every time we dine here, we always order their platter of assorted dumplings.

Spent family sandate at mr.choi kitchen. Im glad that my dad's rice standards were met!my mom says that the mixed vegies and seafood were good which very seldom that she mentions from our numerous eat outs.i got green mango shake and my cousin got mixed fruits and those were refreshing.for improvements: the place needs to be lighter in color and the crew must ask what food must they punch in for the senior citizen's discounts.

We always enjoy eating here. Food is reasonably good, cheap and served quick. I like their dimsums which are always freshly-steamed upon ordering. Their beef noodle soups are nice and filling. Their ala carte menu provides many good options. I only got disappointed once when I ordered a rice topping which didn't have much of the fish topping but was loaded with maybe 2 cups of rice underneath. Not a deal-breaker, though.

Its been quite a while since my last visit to Mr. Choi's. Yet my experience is just one of those moments you all have to know about!

Do you know one of those times in life when you dont remember the details of an event but remember the impression and how that event made you feel?

Well, dining at Mr.Choi's sorta has that kinda moment for me.

Last time being there I was treated to their budget meals that cost 99PHP, one of their Noodle Soups with the Dimsum on them I think? And wao, it tasted like a 200Peso meal i can tell you! You got more for what you paid for, in yerms of satisfaction!

That, or maybe I wasn't expecting much?
Either way, I dont know how the quality of their food matches the experience we were given before, it's probably for you to find out!

Then you can let me know if they still serve good food for the really good price! :)

Happy eating!

Supreme Baked Rice.

How many Chinese restaurants can claim to have this as a focused category in their menu? How many can claim to be Supreme? How many can actually do this right?

Just Mr. Choi's Kitchen.

It may be a tired term, but Mr. Choi's Supreme Baked Rice is truly a "meal on its own". Why? It has more than sufficient carbohydrates, protein, and condiments mixed into this dish. Both your palate and hunger will be satisfied just by eating this alone. All you need is some liquid to wash it all down. Oh and did I say that this is good for sharing?

My favorite is the Baked Roast Duck in White Sauce with Rice. The duck is fragrant, sweet, meaty, and tender. The rice is cooked properly --- you can distinguish each grain and it has just the right bite. No mush or pasty rice here. The white sauce is creamy, but not milky. It holds so much delicious flavor yet it does not overpower any of the ingredients in the dish. Instead, it blends it all together so each spoonful is a wonderful symphony of sweet meat and soft rice cloaked in velvet. You'd think this would be cloying, but believe me, you'll find yourself eating spoonful after spoonful.

And this is why Mr. Choi's Baked Rice reigns Supreme.
