There are only a handful of cocktails to choose from, but don’t be afraid to speak to the bartenders, as they welcome suggestions to create from guests. I believe The Curator had previously been listed in Asia’s 50 Best Bars and rightfully so, as the quality was obviously there in each drink we ordered. There was something unique but also familiar; some cocktails were ridiculously smooth, clean tasting and presentation was on point. Drinks are not surprisingly on the higher side, but it was definitely worth it.

Great place for a nice coffee and light meals which is hard to find in Manila. The decor gives the place an industrial charm with the concrete walls. Will go there again for drinks as the layout, decor and friendly staff would create a relaxing ambience for trying their recommended drinks
Everything’s great. Coffee. Food. Music. Ambiance. They serve alcohol at night.
A very simple cafe, with a clean interior and a low profile exterior - barely a sign and easy to miss. Their menu also reflects their simplicity. For a convenient order, I just asked for their We Love Legaspi Breakfast with a cappuccino. With a good big slice of brioche, I can play around with combination of flavors from the jam, butter, and pouched egg that came with the meal. Their cappuccino is a right balance of milk and espresso with a strong bitterness that wake me up for the morning. In the end, it was a gratifying breakfast to jump start a day.
I like how lowkey this place is; when my friends and I went here, we kinda struggled finding where it was 'cause they didn't have a signage haha. It's also very cold where we sat, so that's a plus. I'll probably go back and recommend this to my other friends.
The service is great!! The staff were very friendly and accommodating. In our first visit, they took time to explain their offerings and helped us find something we might like based on our tastes. I must say, they didnt disappoint. The cocktails were amazing and the coffee was pretry good.
Chill and lowkey. Great place to hangout for after-work drinks. Great set of cocktails + we had a sample of that puto bumbong drink w/c tastes interesting. Will grab coffee next time.
I like the exclusivity of this bar/cafe. Also, it’s lowkey cos you won’t expect behind their front, which is the cafe, is a semi speakeasy bar. Also the bar smells really nice, as if you’d be switched to a drinking mood right away you step in. Among the coffee menu, I always drink the B.O.D. Plus points you can yosi outside. And in the bar, I would customize my drinks. Their price range leaning on the expensive side but it’s understandable because they’re on the top 50 bars in Asia. The bartenders and baristas are very friendly(especially if they see you come in alone lol)
Has a very comfy Filipino hipster-esque vibe Good place for coffee! Staff are very friendly and know their stuff. You can even ask them for recommendations on your drink depending on what you feel for the day. Tried out their Shake-O-What-O (in pic), which was not bad, and a bit refreshing! It had cold brew, an espresso shot, a bit of cocount syrup and some milk. Will definitely come back another time.
Really great coffee for a really great price. Will definitely recommend. Presentation is not bad. It’s hard to spot at first because they don’t have signage, but not bad.
Visited this place again after so long. The last time I was here they still had that wine store but now it’s a full blown cafe/bar. I appreciate the light/dark contrast between the two areas. Their coffee is okay, good ambiance for a short catch up session after lunch around the area. Baristas are friendly, interiors are very minimalist, and they have limited pastries available.
It was a bit a hassle to look for this place since it did not have a sign or a name, however, the ambience and the taste of their coffee definitely made up for it. The staffs were also friendly and accomodating. We will definitely go back and give their cocktails a try!
since it’s lowkey, it took five minutes to figure out where the entrance was. the staff were accommodating and conversed while doing our orders. the homey vibe had us lounging without worry, smiling at anyone who met our eyes.
Good place to catch up with friends.
Perfect for those who wants a morning coffee and chill place.
Friendly barista.
No wifi.
Will most likely come back for their cocktails 🤷🏻♀️
Love the cocktails! the selection of drinks are so much intriguing. You can actually request for them to make a drink for you, like a special or one that you want not in the menu. Great crowd and ambiance - will come back!
Drinks: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Cool concept! They take their drinks very seriously. And I have never seen a cocktail menu so fun and unique. It’s designed to explain and assist customers in choosing their drinks. Helpful for those who are not familiar with cocktails. My friend and I had 3 drinks each, and I must say we were in a very happy buzz going home.
Ambience: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Hidden behind a coffee shop of the same name, their cocktail bar is quaint and can only host a handful of guests. It’s fun because the vibe of the place really encourages people to interact and be friendly! The feel of the place is alive but chill, with just the right playlist.
Service: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Staff is friendly and service is quick. They are happy to assist guests in understanding the drinks.
Price: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Drinks are pricey (P450 a glass) but I think that’s partly why they have this tight and small community. Not everyone can afford to go to this place so noisy childish groups (sorry ✌🏽) aren’t this bar’s target audience, and they wouldn’t be able to host very large groups too. Makes it more exclusive and chill tbh.
BADASS
cocktail lounge, hidden in legaspi makati.
i am overwhelm with the service and the variety of cocktails. their bartenders are the best.
a very nice place if you want to chill
i like their rules. you can request any drink you want
this will be my new hangout place
keep it up more power
Who would have thought that this coffee shop exist. Thanks to my friend for introducing The Curator to me. I love the ambiance, the coffee and the secret cocktail bar. Yep! Need not to say more, this place is perfect for your instagram feeds and ofcourse a place to catch up with friends.
My boss introduced me to this place so I come here mostly for meetings cos it is really quiet at daytime and almost looks like a hideout. Easy to miss in the corner of Palanca buuut I think it actually adds to its charm. The lemonade fizz is my personal favorite ☺️
THE BEST in Makati 💖 Everyone is just so nice and their coffee and cocktails are great. It’s the best place to chill and relax. I could live here 😂
UGH, what an experience. Great, secretive ambiance tucked in a corner along Legaspi village. Since it’s a tiny bar, you’re almost pressured to keep ordering to stay around since a lot of people are waiting to come in and out of the place.
Their bartenders are the best! Super friendly and are great at recommending stuff to you. Though the drinks may be pricey, they are truly worth it. The feel of the place is very relaxed and you can just unwind and knock back a cocktail (or three) before heading home.
I gave the Curator 5 stars. Why? It hits the right notes as a cocktail bar while going the extra mile as well.
1.) Ambiance
Cozy hole in the wall sort of place with tables for groups and bar stools right up where the bartenders do their magic. Could easily get packed late at night.
2.) Food/Drinks
Of course, main attraction would be their cocktails. For my first visit, I had the Bon Royale and the Daiquiri. The former, for me personally, can only be described as SWEET ACID(it's that good!). It's a refreshing drink while being complex at the same time, sort of like a strange cross between a Negroni and a tart-ish Daiquiri without the boozy factor. It works though!
3.) Service
The bartenders know their stuff when it comes to cocktails 101. They basically have borderline scientific facts and knowhow on the art of mixology, which you can also taste from their drinks. While the Curator has a menu for their proven concoctions, you can also ask for the bartenders' recommendations. They'll ask for your flavor profiles like sweet, bitter, boozy and the like and make a drink based on those.
4.) Price
The price of the cocktails might be a little expensive, going for around P500 for a menu cocktail and around P550 for a custom one(including VAT service charge). This is balanced by unlimited free peanuts as bar chow and the fact that the bartenders will let you try some of their experimental drinks sometimes(tip: sit at the bar stools more often!). Besides, if you want to try the best, you should be prepared to pay for quality too.
Overall, the Curator is a nice speakeasy that will make you feel right at home.... if home was a place filled with fresh cocktail ingredients and mixing gear. The only real gripe I have is that sometimes the menu feels hard to read because of the dark lighting(although it sets the mood for a chill night admittedly). Would 100% take my friends here for a drink or two sometimes.
Hanami Gin is a thoughtful, hand-crafted drink infused with the true essence of distinctive cherry blossom and herbs. These botanicals are carefully selected and tested for utmost purity and quality and brought together to make their own closely guarded recipe. To attain balance is essential to achieve a state of serenity. Zen masters of old have respected this principal. That is why master distillers ensure perfection in centuries old Dutch day gin recipes.
The Curator serves its location well, just at the corner of C. Palanca Street, walking distance from Greenbelt 1 and the nearby residential and office buildings of Legaspi Village. If you want to grab a coffee or a pre party cocktail, The Curator is a great place to start your Friday evening. For this visit, I was invited to the launching of Hanami, a dry gin infused with cherry blossoms and spices. The afternoon was complimented with gin pairing snacks, a sampling of a unique cocktail created by The Curator's bartenders using Hanami. It was an afternoon of social drinking and good rated fun! Thank you to Booze Inc for the invite and to The Curator who served as the lovely backdrop for this launch event.
Was here for a product launch and it was my first time to set foot at The Curator and little did I know it was just near the office. It looks small from the outside but a small door leads to a comfier sitting room where the bra is actually located. The coffee bar up front was dressed up in the industrial minimimalist type which foils the bar/lounge area which was shelves filled with books and aromatics. The bar itself looks like a library of sorts, a library of spirits and wines. Too bad I came at such an early hour, I can only imagine how awesome this would look like at night.
Wil definitely come back to sample more gin and tonic or try their cocktails sometime soon.
I really love this place and will surely recommend it because they go beyond the normal kind of service a coffee shop can give. I went here all by myself and I never really felt that I was alone because their extraordinary crews will surely give some time to talk about the things they serve on their menus and how they are in their workplace.
And if ever you are for an adventure of discovering new kind of coffee drink, please do try their "SIAMESE DREAM" . The profit from this drink will surely help a person from achieving her dreams.
Their food is really good.
I don't drink coffee but I drink alcohol so I am reviewing Curator for their "Hidden Bar".
If you're looking for an nice, quiet, intimate place to talk and have a couple of drinks, this is an awesome place to go to. It's got a great ambiance and the music is not too loud. They have a good selection of drinks that even shows each ones characteristics via a spider/radar chart. The bartenders are friendly and they know their stuff, they can even customize a drink for you depending on your preferences.

I went here for the "cocktail" part, where I can get free peanuts ;)
No seriously, don't ask for the best seller drinks. Just tell them drink characteristics that you like and there, you gonna smile for the rest of the night.
A nice coffee place na may not so hidden na bar sa likod. They serve food din pero I always go here for their coffee. Try nio tong Shake-O-What-O, kayo na ang humusga kung Coffee na Cocktail o Cocktail na Coffee... Whahaha
The place is small but relaxing, I love the wall color. I love the Espresso with milk it is best paired with the brownie. I will be back soon for more.,
This place is a go-to for some down time. The Sicilian fizz is amazing (using a metal straw is lovely touch) and the grilled cheese is perfect (the serving size is quite generous too)
The brightly lit closed coffee shop hides a gem of a bar behind the back sliding doors.
They've got a great selection of cocktails including a mean Old Fashioned, a crushing Espresso Martini,a smooth Tom Collins and a cute Wake Up Lil Suzie.
The friendliness of the staff and the little extras like the endless peanuts is what makes this place nice. The air conditioning is a little weak but the cold towels are a nice touch.

This is a very late review. I'll break it down into three:
a. Food
Their honey grilled sandwich is equally sweet and salty. I particularly loved the honey flavor.
Oh, and they have a large serving.
b. Coffee
I found their flat white to be high in acidity with a fuller body. Now I know why a lot of people rave about their coffee.
c. Ambience:
It tranquil, just the way I like it. I think I was the only customer.
I would definitely return here. Thank you!
If you had trouble finding this place, we are no different. We just wanted to try something new and ended up googling the Curator.
We were seated at the front room. the other room has dimmer lights as compared to the first one. I tried Sicilian Lemonade and my friend got Trapple.
They got really good collection of music. 😊
place: 5
drink: 4
price: 3.5
service: 5
We'll definetly be back since we enjoyed the ambiance. Maybe we'll try their cocktails and food next time.
@thecurator_ has got to be the best hidden-gem café in Makati. Coffee or cocktail - it’s your choice but they’ll definitely get you what you need. If you’re looking for cozy interiors + great food (Ehem! We love Legaspi breakfast), this is the place!
For the introvert in me that prefers quieter places with smaller crowds, this has become one of my favorite places/hideaways in Makati. This place has become one of the top Bars in Asia and rightly so! They have a selection of really unique drinks that can fit any person’s mood or preference. I always ask their waiters (Curators!) for their recommendations and they are always kind, helpful, and remember you when you come back. In addition, they have special events wherein they invite world famous bar tenders to concoct special cocktails! A real date night treat!
Lots of love and good memories in this place! May the team behind The Curator live and prosper!
Drinks - 5/5
Ambiance -5/5
Service - 5/5
Price - 4/5
++Points: Awesome menu design, Great events!
Great place for date nights, intimate conversations, and bringing friends!
PS If you pass by during their anniversary, you can pay what you want for coffee and drinks! :)
So in love with places like these!
The Curator has it all, a bright front room and a moody back room for all kinds of coffee and cocktails lover.
It would've been nice to sit in the front room to soak up the sun, but it gets filled up easily as there are only a few seats, so I opted to take up a big table at the back. While I wait for friends, I ordered the We Love Legaspi Breakfast. It came with a choice of drink (mine was Espresso with Milk), a thick brioche, poached egg, butter and jam. I'm a sucker for these kinds of food, so I enjoyed it thoroughly. I also split a couple of hand brewed single origin with friends and both didn't disappoint.
I can imagine why some people make this place a weekly habit. I would have too if I live near. Definitely a must visit if you want a peaceful space in Makati with more than decent coffee.
This place has been updated. You don't need to go through Cyrano anymore because they have expanded their shop while still maintaining the great interiors. I had their cold brew and it was really refreshing. There are sockets on the walls and the baristas are very nice. I really recommend checking this place out
Amazing, not so hidden anymore Gem, in legaspi. Great coffee, impeccable service, and just a cool vibe about the place. Their staff are some of my favourite, and always know what I want, just walking through the door. Will always be a place I take people to impress on what manila actually has to offer!
After visiting The Curator the first time for drinks, I really wanted to come back to try their coffee too because the place seemed like it looked nice during the day too.
Dropped by after hitting the gym in the morning to have some breakfast so I asked the barista for her recommendation. She offered their honey grilled cheese sandwich which was awesome — and HUGE! The bread was brioche and there was honey drizzled on top of the sandwich. It was really good! The saltiness of the cheese and the sweetness of the honey was a good balance. Add a sip of coffee in between bites and you're set! Espresso with milk - flat white was spot on with this.

If you're looking for great food, great coffee, great ambiance and great service. This is the place that you've been looking for! I've always been curious about this coffee for a long time. And thanks for my curiosity, I found the best cafe in the metro. It's like a hidden cafe coz you can't see any signs outside the cafe. It's located along Palanca street. The interiors are so instagrammable even their coffee and meals. The staff is probably the friendliest staff I've ever since together with a Louis Vuitton SAs. But the thing that separates them from LV SAs, LV SAs treats you like a VIP, while their baristas treats you more like a friend. Every time I stay there while waiting for my schedule on Crossfit. I observed that everyone that comes to that door, they treat them like they're friends for a long time. If you're around Legaspi Village, it's a must for you to check this place out!
ever seen a test tube out of your chemistry lab?
You can drop by at The Curator where they serve sugar varieties in test tubes. amazing!
I tried Brew of the day (tastes delicious but nothing special though) and burning green (unique taste)
Another hidden gem of Makati. Literally hidden. Haha. It does not have any signboard or whatsoever so it could be a bit challenge if you're planning to go here for the first time. When we enterer this place, it looks like a typical coffee shop but if you start to roam your eyes around you'll a much more different themed room. The interiors are nice and would recommend if you would want to have some time alone. Haha. I tried their cocktail called A.O.J. Well basically it's orange joice mixed with amaretto. It tastes like a normal fruit juice but with a slight hint of liquor. Recommended if you would just like to have a little booze for the day. Haha. Will I ever go back? Probably yes. :)
I have been meaning to drop by this cafe/bar ever since I heard news of it last last year. I was able to see it at night where it turned to a speakeasy bar. But I never got around trying their drinks as my buddies and I headed to a diff. place. This time around, I finally got to try their offers. And yes, it’s those offers available during the day.
My favorite 2017 coffee shop so far. I had their espresso + milk and it was really good. The coffee was strong enough and blends well with the milk. I actually asked them if they have mocha, unfortunately they don't have chocolate. Good thing the staff asked me if I want to have some chocolate powder on top instead and I instantly said yes. I also had their croissant. I initially want their dough dealer cookie. Nope. They don't have. How about Skinny Monkey Muffin? None again. (That's why I gave 4.0 only even though I love it here) And so..I had to take their croissant. I asked the staff if it was chocolate or plain. She told it's plain but she asked me if I wanted to try it with honey and lemon zest. I said yes because that sounds new to me and viola! I loved it. I'm actually craving for it every night. Their croissant was also soft enough! Croissants are known for their /maganit/ texture but their croissant was soft and tender. The ambiance was also pleasant. I can stay there all day. I'm definitely coming back ❤
One of the best coffee shop I've been in makati! So we decided to chill after our shoot with a model around makati. The barista was very nice of us to accomodate me and my friends. Except for me, all of my friends were first timers. Wil (the barista) was nice enough to recommend orders and describe each coffee for them.
I tried their Brew of the Day (P120) and We love Legaspi Breakfast(P280). I forgot the one that I took but it had this sweet fragrant after taste with a whole lot of kick to wake your soul up to which i needed and loved. The Breakfast set was spectacular, I have no qualms with the bread and the egg was perfect!.
Price 5/5 - Price and coffee quality is amazingly cheap.
Food 5/5 - Good breakfast place wish there was more on the menu.
Ambiance 5/5- I love speakeasy they were nice enough to let us control the playlist for a while when we were the only people at first.
Service 5/5 - Would absolutely look for wil again.
Got to taste different kinds of coffee here! And got a chance to see david ong pouring a coffee! The place is kinda dark which is very relaxing, guys visit this place, i swear to you you'll love it here!
I went here a few months ago with a friend on a spontaneous night out. The baristas were asking us what we wanted to drink and I had no idea what to have. I was given a pretty strong mix (not a fan of cocktails) which I didn't like, and the team immediately replaced my drink with something zesty and yummy. And they served us irish cream, on the house, before they closed for the night. I loved that they go out of their way to make sure that every customer has a great and memorable experience at their establishment. Looking forward to try their coffee soon on my next visit.
Just this Saturday, hubby and I together with some looloo friends went to TLC Festival in Bonifacio High Street Central. The plan was to have lunch there and then head over to Bondi & Burke for dinner. A series of unfortunate events happened which included Bondi & Burke being closed due to an event so we needed to think of another plan. Plan B was to visit Stockton Place, which was just around the corner, but was still closed for dinner when we got there around 5PM. Then our friends suggested The Curator.
I don't think that I can say enough good about this place to do it justice. From the moment I first walked in the door I have had a phenomenal experience. The staff is knowledgable and kind. The product, both coffee and cocktails, is top of the line. And lastly, the feel of the place is great. Truly a hidden gem. I am torn between wanting everyone to experience its greatness and wanting to keep it a quiet little morning getaway.
The Curator is probably my favorite cafe in Metro Manila. Here's why:
Food- I wasn't able to take a picture, but I ordered their Apple Pie French Toast. It was very creative. At first, I really hated the lime/orange zest I was tasting, but the overall flavor of the dish made up for it. Serving's good for two persons.
*update on food (2nd visit)
Do yourself a favor and try their smoked gouda sandwich. Weird finding but, it tastes like Japan's Gindaco Takoyaki. Sandwich was of perfect texture.
Coffee- I had the Dark Matter Theory and their new blend. I'm so sorry I forgot the name, but they made it into one mean Piccolo Latte. Strong, acidic coffee done right. Third wave done right. The richness and thickness was pleasant. I have to admit, I was shaking for ten hours because of the caffeine buzz. Even if I liked their coffee, I'll try another drink when I visit again.
Service- 5/5 Hehe. I had a little chat with the barista because we discussed coffee crawling, and she was kind enough to recommend some places to visit. AND AND AND she gave us free cocktails mehehehe.
Ambience- another 5/5 for me. Quiet, hidden, tucked away from humanity. The subdued lighting makes the whole place so cozy. Not sure if it's just me, but it has a sexy, after hours vibe.
A place you never expected that there is a cafe and bar inside. Really a whole in the wall. Love their coffee and I love the interaction the barist/bartender, if you were seated at the bar section they would really talk and mingle with you.
If it weren't for Zomato, I never would have guessed that a coffee shop can be found inside a wine bar. I was actually a bit hesitant to open Cyrano Wine Bar's door because the staff might think I'm a customer looking for good wine, which I definitely was not. Not only because I'm no wine enthusiast, but also because I don't exactly have the money to be one.
Upon entering, I was not surprised to find only one table occupied since the place is quite hidden. My brother ordered their Trapple Juice while I ordered their Brew of the Day, which was Kenya. Truth be told, I don't really know what a Kenya is (aside from it being the name of a country) but I ordered it anyway. The Trapple Juice, according to their server, was made out of a mixture of three kinds of apples. My brother loved it! And it actually tasted good, even though I'm not really a big fan of apple juice.
My coffee was really good as well, but it was a lot more bitter than the usual black coffee I drink at home. So I asked one of the staff if they have sugar or creamers. And voilà, they gave me different kinds of syrups served in test tubes complete with a test tube rack. I absolutely loved the presentation! The aforementioned staff was also kind enough to describe to me what "agave" was, which was something related to aloe vera. I tried putting amounts of each in my coffee, which ended up too sweet. I still liked it, though.
My brother also forced me to buy him a Double Chocolate Doughdealer Cookie. It was really moist but was too sweet, in my opinion. He liked it, though.
I liked how the place is kept secret from the unknowing passers-by, I liked the very attentive and knowledgeable staff, I liked the interiors and the background music... Basically, I liked everything!
The secret place. We had a quite hard time looking for this coffee shop. They could have posted a signage or something outside the wine bar. Or maybe it's just one of their strategies. Nevertheless, you'll be interested on how inside a simple-structured building lies an artisanal coffee shop. We came at around 6PM and we were told they no longer serve meals after 6PM so we just had coffee. I had Espresso with milk. They prepping for cocktails for happy hour. I believe it's relaxing to stay here in the morning since it's hidden so it's quiet. Well, seeing other customers during the happy hour I guess they're enjoying their drinks.
The Curator is a designer coffee shop by day, cocktail bar at night, owned by four partners who divide day and night operations amongst themselves. It has, or had, something of a speakeasy reputation when Manila speakeasies were absolutely the thing.
On a hot, hot day, The Curator turned out to be the perfect escape. It has cold-brewed coffee (six, 12 hour brews), freshly pressed juices without processed sugar, and a smattering of food. The music selection - impeccable, I loved it - is played down low, so you can work, or chat quietly with a friend at one of two communal tables, or settle down by the bar counter, where the bartenders on board will keep you company.
I wasn’t well that afternoon, so I picked out a three-apple juice that was kind to my stomach, while my new friend tried the six-hour cold brew, a hot brew, and a perfectly capped latte. I tried, which means to say I sipped, just to get an idea (and all I was thinking, “must get well! must get well!").
We admired the wall etchings, the shelves with the books with the homemade distillations (spices, fruits), and soaked in the good music. We made friends with the bartenders, and the people who drift in and out quietly of The Curator seemed to be friends with them, too. Awesome.
The easiest way to find is to enter via Cyrano Wine Bar, which is a good stop on its own; buy a bottle, and sometimes the owner, Alex, will have a few nibbles to go with his carefully chosen selection.
It’s not a big space, and maybe its character changes when that happens, but I daresay it’s not going to disappoint.
Finally! Nakita rin kita, kung hindi pa sa isang blog site hindi kita makikita. Pinahirapan mo ako! 😜 But still "it's worth it!" 😃
The coffee serves to me is well crafted, I've seen it. I'm sitting in the bar and saw how she did it. ☕️
Brew of the Day (BOD) Ethiopia Blends with different kind of sugar (White, Brown, , Coconut, Honey, etc.) serves in a test tubes ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5/5
Skinny Monkey Muffin (All Organic) - ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5/5
This secret coffee haven really amused me, the place is good for business or personal meetings, tete-a-tete conversation and if you go alone and need to find peace around Makati. The staff are very accommodating and friendly too. 😃
The Curator Coffee and Cocktail is located inside the Cyrano Wine Bar, 134 Legaspi corner Don Carlos Palanca St., Legaspi Village, Makati City 😃

The Curator is perfect for caffeine addicts and alcoholics! It's a cafe and bar in Makati which serves amazing coffee. I ordered the Winds of winter while my boyfriend ordered the dark matter theory. The winds of winter was sweet while the dark matter theory was a little more bitter with a chocolate kind of taste. The ambiance was great, not too bright and very urban. The place is a little hard to spot, but worth the trip!
Excellent coffee and cocktail bar in Legaspi Village. Cool setting with good music.
Bartenders introduce themselves to you!
We had:
Vida - bulleit bourbon based
Rafiki's Song - monkey shoulder whisky based
Beyond Expectations - pitu cachaca based
Common Sense - ottinger wheat beer based
Each are about Php 500 a pop including service charge.
Similar to Finders Keeper's in its cocktail menu and making style
The barista is very accomodating and peaceful. Im not into coffee kaya nag reccommend sila for me na first timer dun na walang alam about coffee maraming sinabi yung barista sakin pero nakalimutan ko na. The best kayo! Sana makabalik ako ulit!
you would love to have breakfast here:) they have very simple menu yet efficient for me since i was able to order in a few sec right after i was sitted which is good but of course with the help of the staff whose very helpfull in suggesting what's best to tryfor a first timer at the shop. totally loved the smoked gouda cheese sandwich that goes well with trapple (3 kinds of apple -green, fuji & red ....sounds good & healthy to start the day) tho the shop does not look so comfy & inviting for breakfast goers but hey.....looks can be deceiving!
I enjoyed my first try here, but today I found the service wanting. The muffin is OK, but my friend's coffee wasn't hot enough but I credit the staff for offering a replacement.
It was really the service more than the quality of their coffee that is more disturbing. They are not rude but I guess the one who helped us that day wasn't paying much attention to what she was doing.
Went there last saturday afternoon with a friend to have a chat and watch movies (laptop). The cafe/bar is actually at the back end of the shop so if it is your first visit, you'll definitely ask yourself "Am I in the right place?" Heheh! The cafe setup isn't the perfect one you can see around but the experience, I can say, can match the best ones. Nice music, cool aircon, distinct room design, nice and pretty staffs. A great place to chill at. We ordered cold Chakowhat-To and Apple pie french toast (This I recommend plus it can be for two people). Left the place very satisfied and planned to visit again to try other menus.
Visited Curator on a Sunday afternoon. Unfortunately they don't serve alcohol on Sundays, so we only got to order coffee.
I had the iced coffee, still the best glass I remember having. It was sweet and refreshing, but with a bold flavor and the caffeine kick. No sour after taste, perfectly timed to avoid oxidation.
When we asked for sugar, they brought a test tube rack with tubes of agave, honey, white sugar, brown sugar, and Coco sugar: all in syrup form.
They also let us sample some of their new concoctions for free.
Love the urban speakeasy vibe. The Curator is hidden behind a bar, so it may seem "closed" but you have to check the doors to be sure. Their coffee and juices have a distinct flavor, and once could truly say The Curator is an artisan cafe. We got the Brew of the Day (Brazilian coffee with a hint of lime), the dark chocolate-flavored capuccino, and a shot of espresso. The staff was very interactive and personal. The waitress (Nica) took the time to give us an intro on the menu and went out of her way to know our names. She even gave us free juice called the Trapple (freshly squeezed apple and oranges, I think). Awesome service.
Some might have a hard time finding where this café is since it's located inside a building; once inside, you will still have to pass through a what seems like a 'wine bar' But I am telling you everything was worth it 👍 this is only a small café but it is cozy, quiet, perfect for those totally looking for a "chill" place. The place is dim lit, there are only quite a few chairs that could accommodate a small number of customers (which i prefer, because it would be less crowded and quiet)
We entered the room and a very accommodating staff welcomed us. Everyone was so friendly 😊 they offered us the menu and suggested some best sellers
Food & Drinks: i ordered a cold espresso (i forgot the name exactly) but it was good, plus their service is fast. Aside from coffee they also offer fresh juices. Literally. There were fruits on the shelves and we thought they were just for 'display' little did we know that those fruits were actually the ones they used in making the juice drinks & food. We had an apple pie and it is sooo worth it! It only costs 200 pesos with 4 slices and I must say it was the best apple pie I have tasted so far!
They also have a number of books & magazines on the shelves that everyone can use. All in all, I enjoyed my stay here! 😊❤️

The Curator definitely knows what they're selling. Honestly, I've just started drinking coffee and so I don't know much yet on coffee variety. The friendly barista went to me, started asking about my preferences and shared heaps on coffee. Even though I was kinda dumbfounded halfway, I appreciated the small talk. I like that they go to every table, asking each customer so that they can suggest the best to offer.
For food, they mostly serve light breakfast and snacks here. I got WeLoveLegaspi Breakfast which is like a combo meal. I had bread (brioche), poached egg, jam, and butter with my choice of coffee. The food was just fine and what I really remember is how good my coffee was! It wasn't too acidic, just the way I requested. I wish I had more!
The place is quite intimate. It's quiet, dark, and cozy. The interior looks a bit industrial. The bottle displays are interesting. It's a great place to read a book alone. Actually, there are interesting books about coffee and cocktail mixing in the shelves. I borrowed a few and started reading. If not for the group of expats who came in with noisy kids running around, I could have stayed longer.
This coffee shop is quite hidden. The entrance is a wine shop (Cyrano) and you have to walk further to enter the coffee shop.
I'm definitely coming back to try more.
Great coffee experience at The Curator. Special thanks to Ivan (The barista) for entertaining us. My friend and I learned so many things about coffee.. Super nice place + friendly baristas + great coffee at good price = Perfect! 💕 Will definitely be back! ☺️ Ivan the barista gave us a free coffee to try! ☕️ He even gave us a sample of their fresh pressed juice! 😋
To sum it up, This is now my favorite coffee shop! 💕👍🏻☕️
A friendly barista will ALWAYS make their customer feel at home and always wanted to go back. GOOD JOB, CURATOR!

Every time I am in town, I’ve always got to try and make as much time for my favourite local coffee shop - The Curator.
Their food menu is very simple with only a few offerings - mostly breakfast items. Expect that for what they do offer though will be done exceptionally well.
We only ever went in there for EXCELLENT coffee (please allow them to suggest things for you to try - they know what they are talking about!) and to chat to our newly made friends behind the counter but when we got hungry, we usually had the croissants which they told us were delivered fresh. We had a few different varieties, but my favourite would have to be the beef tapa, hands down.
Wednesday morning and had to accompany my husband in Makati for his HAAD Exam. I didn’t have enough sleep that day so I looked for a coffee shop near that place. My feet brought me to Legazpi St. in front of Cyrano Wine Shop, the "Hidden Gem" in Makati (please don’t hesitate to enter the place and don’t be tricked by its outer look).
Since I’m not familiar with their coffee varieties, I let the server decide for me. She gave me WOW (Winds of Winter) Seasonal Espresso blend – (140.00) and a chocolate cookie (100.00). I love the smell of the place and the chocolate cookie (UGH!) though a bit pricey.
Amazing place and generous servers. One of the servers even offered me a cold-brewed coffee for FREE. If you want some “Me” time while sipping your favorite coffee, “The Curator” is the right place for you.
The Curator Coffee and Cocktails: Bringing the Best That the World of Coffee and Cocktails Has to Offer. The Curator Coffee and Cocktails is known for their delicious coffee and cocktail creations, friendly and personalized service, and cozy ambiance. I've been to a number of specialty cafes in Metro Manila, but The Curator takes the notion of service up a notch. The baristas here really go out of their way to make you feel welcome and at home – freely talking about coffee and their passion for a quality cup.
If you are looking to satisfy your coffee obsession and possibly make a new friend in the process, this is definitely the place to be. Here's why;
My favorite hidden lair!
I actually got the idea of creating the @coffeecrawlerph handle in Instagram after my first visit to The Curator.
They're serious about bringing your coffee experience to the next level. Visit them for Winds of Winter, Trapple Juice and Skinny Monkey.
The Curator is a gem hidden inside a winery, I even doubted if the vicinity was open when I went here. This is just a 2-min walk away from my office so I decided to grab a hot drink before heading to work. I don't know what to order so I kind of asked the suggestion of the barista, and he suggested I try their Dark Matter Theory. Not a fan of bitter coffee but I really liked how this one tasted. Bitter and sweet and creamy all at the same time. The texture is also smooth. I also loved the place, its like time traveling to old Europe. Very artsy, the lighting is warm and cozy. Thumbs up also to the attentive crew. Will definitely go back.
another great place for meetings and chilling located in Makati. :) a well established restaurant to serve you all. the service here was not that pricey but the quality is still there. perfect quick getaway, specially when your stress. :)
I rate this high just because one, it's hidden. Finding it was a victory in itself. Two, their unique presentation of coffee. It came with test tube of 6 different sweeteners. Now why wouldn't I rate it up there?
I truly enjoy those rugged vintage looking types of coffee shops, so if you also prefer those kind of places, Curator is definitely a place to add to your list. I also like the friendly service. Right when we arrived, they were already introducing themselves and asking for our names as well. We also got to chat with the baristas and ask them about their concocted drinks and their roasted beans. To my surprise, they were also using the same coffee beans as EDSA BDG, which is also one of the places I've thought to have perfectly suited me.
When the sun sets, the place transforms to a chill darker place where you can have more intimate conversations with your closest friends over their cocktails and other concoctions. We sat at the bar so we also get to see how the bartenders do their mixes. They even shared a few stories and eagerly answered our queries. We even ordered a concoction with egg yolk and didn't even taste it! It was more bubbly and smooth, not unlike the slimy texture we've imagined it to taste like. This trip made me really want to pursue getting coffee/beverage lessons. We definitely learned a lot from them!

4/5 for their Dark Matter Theory! The place is quite hidden. Love the interiors but their lights are dimmed. Just ask Ramona to score a brewed coffee for free. She'll give a demo on how to manually brew the beans.
Coffee during the day. Cocktails by night. I must say my first experience of the so-called "third wave coffee" is really good. I tried espresso with milk and it was good. ☕️👌🏻 The temperature of the coffee is just right. I'm not familiar with all the varieties of coffee so I let my friend choose the perfect coffee bean for me and I had, I think, Wawa. Haha. Sorry, can't remember clearly. All I know is that it is the mildest. ✌🏻️ Coffee lovers must really try this! Coffee is really affordable but if you want to try their cocktails, you must prepare huge amount of money. 😁 Curator is open from 7AM and will turn into a cocktail bar by 7.
Ordered Espresso (Winds of Winter Blend) with milk and it was just the perfect cup. Light, crisp and a bit nutty. I'd love this for my morning cup of coffee. The staff were very friendly and accommodating as well.
The Curator is a quaint cafe by day and a unique speakeasy by night. It is located in the back area of Cyrano Wine Bar, which can be found at the corner of Palanca and Legazpi street. As of the last time I visited for some post-lunch coffee, they have coveniently placed a sign by Cyrano's window for would-be patrons.
The place is very homey, with purposely dim lighting. They have a couch area with small wooden coffee tables for those who may want a quick cup of brew. They also have rustic wooden tables with more comfortable seating for those who plan to stay for an hour or more. The bar seems to have the best seats in the house though. They also have pretty good taste regarding the music they play. The servers are friendly and are quick to respond to anything you may need.
I have yet to try their evening cocktails, but do enjoy their coffee. I have tried their espresso with milk, which was served it with test-tubes filled with different kinds of melted sugar. White sugar, brown sugar, agave, honey, muscovado and one other that I've forgotten. I have also had their brew of the day, which was pretty solid. My favorite so far though is their Dark Matter Theory Latte, which is absolutey perfect with muscovado mixed in. I am not much of a coffee lover to be honest but I keep coming back for more of theirs.
I have also gotten to try their Amalfi Mule, one of the daytime cocktails. The limoncello taste came through perfectly and it was extremely refreshing. The cute quirk I loved about the drink was how it was served with a metal straw.
The first time, I had also ordered some food from the Cyrano Wine Bar to have with my Curator brew. It was a liempo of some kind, which was sprinkled with basil leaves and had the typical soy sauce dip. I remember it being quite good at first but over time, the meat was rather too oily with not enough flavor. Regarding food at the Curator, their dishes on the menu sound interesting so I am definitely planning on trying their sandwiches soon.
Over-all, I am giving this establishment a 4.5 because when it comes to the atmosphere, the service and the quality of the drinks - everything is great. I am looking forward to trying their food and will definitely recommend this place to those who I know will appreciate its artisanal charm.
I love love a good drink. Im more of a tea person but oh wow I certainly enjoyed my Dirty White Coffee drink. It's espresso with milk and since it's dirty, there's espresso grindings on top. I so want to come back and try other drinks! I love their Cream Cheese & Bacon Croissant and I hate croissant by the way but this blew my mind. I had a mouthgasm in every bite. Mmmhhmm
A very interesting place to taste coffee in different "depths" and to learn more about coffee and to share conversations with the baristas and even strangers :)
Great coffee, great cocktails, great food and great people.
The Curator is tucked behind a wine shop. It feels more like a speakeasy bar than it does a cafe. It's a very enjoyable spot to be in for either coffee during the day or cocktails at night.
The staff that work here are very familiar with their regulars and are very accommodating and kind. I was able to make friends with most of the staff during my time there as well as the owner. Really great people.
They serve #YKW coffee, easily my favourite roasters in Manila and they do it well. Their cocktails are also very well thought out and you can tell they take this stuff really seriously.
Espresso with milk - very good
Honey grilled cheese - simple but tasty. The bread was soft and its crust has the same texture as croissant.
Excellent service and the coffee is brewed exceptionally well. I enjoyed the croissant with Gorgonzola, but found the grilled honey and cheese a bit flat. Stick to the coffee and you'll leave with a smile. Although those desserts did look intriguing....
If you want to get away from work for a while and get a perfect cup of coffee this is definitely the place to go. It might be a little intimidating to be able to pick your own beans but their friendly staff are always there to help.
