One of my all time favorites, Pepper Lunch never fails to deliver. I usually dont like beef but this is one of the exceptions. Thinly sliced and perfect together with the sauces they have.
Weve just ate here yesterday and it was definitely a hit for us since its our first time. The best seat is beside the window. Weve ordered 2 beef teriyaki rice with egg and 1 kani salad for us to share, youll definitely get full... We are sure we will go back again to try the others... Only downside youre clothes will smell food...

Most of the time, I get conflicted at what to choose at Pepper Lunch. The variety of meats and flavors are quite overwhelming to me, so imagine how glad I am when Pepper Lunch offered an option where I can have more meats in one plate!
For indecisive foodies like me, Pepper Lunch's newest offering (which I discovered in passing during one of my field work days last month) is the thing we have all been waiting for -- THREE toppings in one pepper rice order! Their Supreme Pepper Rice comes with a generous amount of beef strips, chicken, and shrimps in one, with egg and corn to mix in your rice. The beef strips were thinly sliced and tender, the chicken chunks were juicy, and the shrimps were fresh, even though they were a bit small. This pepper rice flavor comes with a 12 oz drink of your choice and is only priced at Php 300!
Make sure to drizzle your favorite sauces on it for maximum enjoyment! ;)

One of the tastiest fastfood in town. Staff are helpful. But their FCU leaks most times and their restroom is unpleasant. Should be great without the concerns.
Salmon was really good~ well for me since I like fish in general and add it with egg is 👍🏻 the Megamall branch a tiny bit slow in serving but worth the wait ♥️
With a hectic schedule and needing to eat a quick lunch, Pepper Lunch is where I’ll go. I usually order beef, but opted for shrimp and chicken today. It’s tasty as usual and light. It’s also a healthier option.
Me and my brother love eating here. If we cant decide where to eat or when we dont have money, this is our go to place. But be prepare to smell like your food. Haha!
Pepper Lunch. A casual-dining smokey restaurant originated from Japan that serves meaty dishes on sizzling metallic plates or pans that allow their customers to witness the cooking process of their own food, watching it sizzles.
There are actually a lot of branches Pepper Lunch found here in the Philippines. One of which I recently visited is in SM Megamall in Mandaluyong. Actually, there’s no much difference to say when you visit their other branches as well.
The place was big enough for customers to have seats and tables. Ambience was fine. Because of the sizzling food, we really expect to see and smell smoke. The staffs were accomodating and nice. The service was a bit slow even though we know that they’ll be serving our sizzling food not fully cooked.
For the food, they’re all nice. Food was fine. Meat put into your plates are fresh. Beverages were good too. They actually have salad which is a bit hit to their customers. You can also order some of their desserts.
Overall, everything was fine. One thing that I really don’t like is the smell and the smoke all around the restaurant. #foodiesantiph
It was my first time to dine at a Pepper Lunch branch! Usually kasi I have it delivered right at my doorstep. Hehe my siblings enjoyed their Chicken Pepper and Beef Pepper!
The only downside was one of the servers in this branch yelled at me before I libed up. Hehe but it’s okay. Perhaps it was because that time, it was their peak hour.
Pepper lunch has been a famous fast food restaurant for the long run. Despite their expensive meals, you'll still be craving for it from time to time.
Orders:
Teriyaki beef Pepper rice with egg P250
Curry and cheese beef Pepper rice P242
Serving time ~5 mins.
Compared to their menu before, they've added more meals and exciting flavors to give their customers wider variety.
I'll be trying other curry recipes next time. 😋
Treated my little sister here for lunch and it didn't disappoint her. If you're looking for a sizzling meal with a wide variety of choices, this the one for you. Jumbo Beef Pepper rice is my personal favorite together with extra egg.
I feel the strongest urge to eat after a workout. Tonight was no exception as I dined in to the first stall I saw when I went in Robinson’s Galleria. This was just my second meal of the day.
Pepper Lunch also got me going with their 20% promo on their Beef Pepper Rice with Egg. This was worth every penny as its meat was both enough and flavor filled. The peppery taste was alive but not too much, it was also complemented well with crunch sweet corn kernels.
On the side, I got Chicken Sesame Salad. A generous cup filled with chicken chunks, bright green lettuce, soba noodles, topped with bonito flakes on Japanese sesame dressing. I also had a decent cup of Crab and Corn Soup. It tasted instant but forgivable for it was only Php 50.
My bestfriend and I often eat here. This has always been our choice of restaurant 'coz yep the food is great, tho a bit pricey that's why I only got to order the cheapest one. Haha! Never thought that carbonara would complement well with salted egg up until I tried their salted egg carbonara.

My first encounter with Pepper Lunch was actually Pepper Lunch Express at the SM City Foodcourt. One of the pricier stalls there, actually. So my sister and I would get beef pepper rice since our family's at the foodcourt to save on lunch. It was interesting finally getting to buy Pepper Lunch for myself, and see the actual restaurant instead of just a stall. Paul ordered beef curry rice with cheese, and I had the salmon rice.
I liked his beef curry rice with cheese because of the addition of cheese. It tempers the spice of curry. As for my own meal, I like how the salmon didn't dry out too much even after being on a hot plate. It really needed the sauces on the side to put flavor into it, though. Considering it was being 'cooked' for quite a while.
I hope I can afford to buy the pricier plates here again soon, and a salad as well. I like their salads too, and I miss them!
We had dinner at Pepper Lunch and I ordered Chicken Pepper Rice (Php215) with Double Beef (Php100). Super sulit if you are more into meat rather than rice.
Although when you come out of the resto you'll smell like sizzling spritz.

I love Pepper Lunch! I have tried different branches all over Manila and I think the best is the one in SM Megamall, Bldg. A in Ortigas, Pasig. The place was clean and neat. The chairs and tables were not too crowded even if, let's say, people would fill up the place.
Whenever I think of Pepper Rice meal... Pepper Lunch has been #1 on my list for years. They serve the most perfect pepper rice. Well that's atleast for me. And there's one time that I tried their Curry Beef Pepper Rice with Cheese for the first time, I was stunned for almost a minute. Oh my God! I can't explain how happy and in love I am with that dish. It was freakin awesome. Super awesome. Very good combination. I don't know maybe I was just carried away by the melted mozzarella cheese as I am a cheese lover, but yeah.. I super love it.
Serving Time: 10-15 mins.
Customer Service: Very Good
Price: 💸💸💸
Nothing beats Beef Pepper Rice from Pepper Lunch. Freshly cooked beef strips, with generous amount of corn to add some crunch and the pepper rice that is just so perfect when paired with the beef. Add the garlic steak sauce, and I am all down for it. Plus points for the spaceous and homey place they have there in SM Megamall, an easy go-to place whenever your stomach wants some beefy goodness.
Its my boss treat yey! Since this resto is quite pricey for a solo meal I only ordered 1 .. Beef Pepper! Well the serving is big and the beef is tender. But you cannot eat here if you're already starving to death. After they serve my food I have to wait for another 10mins to cool it down since almost all of the meals are serve in a sizzling plate. 🔥
We had pepper beef for lunch. We had it upsized but really didn't notice any difference. Food is good but I think they are a little bit overpriced.
If youre hungry and looking for a good complete meal. This is where you should go!
Curry, beef and rice all in one sizzling plate is really one heck of a meal. Everytime i eat here is always a two thumbs up!
I love this place! The servers were very friendly, the food was delicious and the service was very fast considering the fact that the place was jam-packed. I really enjoyed my experience here, I'll surely come back. :D
Hands up for their very quick service and their delicious salmon but what's disappointing is they serve in small portion that is different from the picture in their menu. The price is affordable and yet I can eat my most loved and expensive salmon. If you're running late try Pepperlunch's quick service.
I was able to try their pasta and I have to say that it is my first time eating pasta on a sizzling plate. The noodles were cooked very well and the sauce was awesome. However I sort of miss the meat of pepper lunch so maybe next time I will just buy my usual.
Being a fan of anything Japanese, the first place that comes to me and my best friend's mind when we're hungry in Megamall is Pepper Lunch. The food is hot, they serve generously, food taste's awesome, sauce is perfect, peaceful ambiance and waiters are attentive. Everything is just totes perfect.
Went here for dinner with my sisters and boyfriends. Since it's our dirst time to eat here, me and boyfriend ordered their beef pepper steak. Sizzling is really what I want during that time so I'm glad that we tried pepper lunch and it really tastes good! :) not to mention they have generous serving here and good value for money :)
I got so excited when Pepper Lunch arrived in Manila. But it took me years to have a chance to eat here due to schedule. And it brings back some memories when I was in SG. It's just that the serving size is smaller compare to the one i always eat in SG.
One of my favorite here is the beef pepper rice. They have a special sauce right in front of your table. The slice meat is tender. I love their spicy tuna salad but the serving is quite small so if I'am 'bitin" i have another salad -kani salad it taste so good. Price is reasonably okay.
I am a fan of this Japanese fastfood. Malling is not complete without the dining experience here at Pepper Lunch. The food is served in a hot plate, the meat are cooked perfectly and it really tasted good especially when you added their sauces. The price is kinda expensive though compare to the express branches.

The meat dishes here are nice and tasty. However, I find that in terms of color, their food is somewhat lacking. Before I came to eat here, I already ate at Sizzling Pepper Steak and their meats are of great color and therefore more appetizing. Also I found that the latter's meats are tastier and softer.
This is where my workmates and I dine in when we we're still working in Ortigas. We'd go here during our "bad" days and eat our comfort food. This is also where we usually celebrate birthdays (when we're not in the mood to drink).
Food: We just love the Beef Pepper rice. It's fun to eat, it's like cooking your own meal. It's tender, it's flavorful and the sauces are perfect.
Service: They serve fast, the staff are also friendly and patient in explaining the process.
Place: They have lots of seats available and the place is spacious. every table has it's own exhaust.
Pepper Lunch is a great place to have a quick meal but still get the feeling that you're eating at a non-fastfood restaurant. We got the beef pepper rice, one of their bestsellers, curry rice with beef, teriyaki beef with egg, and the garlic beef pepper rice.
The beef pepper rice is great, especially when you add some teriyaki sauce. It really stands to prove as one of the favorites, not to mention it is the cheapest on the menu. The garlic beef pepper rice wasn't too different from the first except for the added garlic flakes, which for me were to big and overpowers the taste of the beef.
I enjoyed eating the curry rice because they give you a cup filled with curry that you can pour to your own liking, and adding some more sauce gives the beef and rice a lot of flavor.
The teriyaki beef had such a big helping, beef, vegetables, egg, and rice. It was really worth the price. We enjoyed the sauce that came with the order.
One thing I always think of when eating at Pepper Lunch is whether I'll get my money's worth, and always it is answered with a "Yes." I think what were paying for, besides the food, is the eating experience that you will need to let the meat cook first on the hotplate and mixing it with the rice and sauces. It's a simple yet elegant experience. Only I hope that they add more meat to the orders because the proportion of rice to the meat is a little too much for some.
Not a really high rating though. But the food is great. You get to eat it while it's hot. Of course on a sizzling plate. 😂 but the cashiers are not really friendly a bit of intimidating. You guys should smile sometimes. 😏
We were intrigued at how much queue this joint would always have whenever we pass by any of their branches that's why we decided to try it out. The dishes are worth the wait since they offer tasteful sizzling Japanese rice meals. Must tries are the Beef Pepper Rice, Curry Beef Pepper Rice with Cheese, Hamburg Steak & BBQ Beef and Salmon and Chicken.
I love food that sizzles. There was a time when sizzling plates were all the rage. Now we have places like Pepper Lunch that offer us a sizzling meal which we can enjoy while it's piping hot.
I'd been wanting to use my Pepper Lunch voucher from Enjoy Philippines for some time now. The nearest was as Megamall and because Kianna and I were in the Ortigas area for my friend's Bridal shower. We decided to have an early lunch.
Upon entering you're immediately assigned a table number which also reflects on your receipt.
My voucher entitled me to a Buy One Get One Free Dish. We ordered the classic Beef Pepper Rice.
It's served to you sizzling hot ans the purpose of that is because you need to help it along by cooking the beef. All you really have to do is just keep turning it until it's cooked.
After the beef has been cooked, mix it in with your rice and you're ready to take on the Pepper Lunch challenge! That's trying to eat it while it's so hot. You might want to wait for it to cool down but it really is just too good to wait.
the beef pepper rice is simply awesome! i usually order that or the chicken one. plus, the video that plays on loop about how best to enjoy the dine-in experience is fun to watch.
My first Pepper Lunch was not in this place and I didn't like my first try but that was because I was too full so I gave it another go in this branch. It was a little bit too price-y for a one-person-meal but when I got to taste it, it was like I was gonna burst from happiness. It was so good that I could eat a lot here. The only thing, I didn't like was that we don't get to choose where we seat but too many restaurants already do that, I just love what their food and I would really come back for more.
Pepper Lunch is my favorite restaurant, beef pepper rice my comfort food. The food is consistently good across all branches. It is only the other details that differentiate one branch from another.
This branch has an on site restroom. A plus really except that there was an issue with the door lock before which I reported to the manager. To appease me after being locked in the loo, he reassured me that it was a new problem and that it was going to be resolved right away. He even gave me free ice cream! When I visited the store 3 months later, he welcomed me back and said that the issue has long been fixed. Now, that's what I call excellent customer service. I didn't expect he'd remember me.
It would be nice if wifi would be made available.
In case they renovate in the future, I suggest to change the design so that they can better contain the smell of what's cooking. As it is, the opening to the kitchen is near the entrance.
a bit expensive, but still worth it.
