We had this in japan and so i was looking for a place to satisfy my craving. The dumplings are a bit small - its just as big as the takeaway sauce cup. But it was still warm, and juicy! Had to wait for about 10 mins for the next order to arrive, because they made another batch on the spot. Will definitely come back.
For the unaware, the broth was mainly pork fat that rendered to a rich tasty soup. Their fried xiao long bao tasted really clean that even the non-pork eater half of our duo was able to appreciate it.
We tried xia long bao and taiwanese chicken. Love the xia long bao! Affordable food yet the food are appetizing and they served it hot and freshly prepared.
We ordered the tasty combo with the pan fried dumpling (3/5; too oily for me), flaky sandwich with fried egg and floss (4/5), and soya drink (5/5! very refreshing). Giving them 4 stars for the attentive service
The only place I know for a good authentic shengjian bao. They have good shanghainese comfort food, the fried chicken with 5 spice is not bad too, it is juicy and flavorful inside. But the star of the show is their crispy bottom and juicy shengjian bao!

I love their Fried soup dumplings! It's not just steamed, it's also pan fried. This adds a bite and texture to the regular soup dumplings. I'd say it's worth a try and maybe you'll come back for more.
I love their sandwich and version of xiao long bao. I was sad to see this merchant leave Zomato Gold. You should definitely come here to try those dishes although if you are the picky type, you'll notice that their xiao long bao has a thick bottom which is sometimes still served a bit raw. The chicken was also great.
Ever tried a pork soup dumpling? Mai Wei Fang serves a pan fried version of Xiao Long Bao. It’s thicker and more pork inside.

I was browsing Facebook when an Ad from another site popped. They have an all day 50% off at Mai Wei Fang and I booked a reservation asap haha. We ordered Sheng Jian Bao & Chinese Fried Chicken and we super liked it! The chicken was really tasty and the soup dumplings also. Would definitely dine again.
THE BEST! I wish there were more branches! I ate here a lot when I lived in Manila. The Shen Jian Bao is addicting--I always want to order more than two servings but don't because I don't want to be judged, haha. The Chinese Fried Chicken works as a more filling meal, but you'll really be wasting a trip if you don't have the dumplings.

I liked it a lot, especially the sheng jian bao dumplings and the shao bing sandwich! Shao bing sandwich was much better than the cong you bing sandwich. Cong you bing was meh. We also got the XL chicken. I wish it came with a side sauce because it was so dry. The dessert youtiao with the condensed milk and peanuts were good too. The food in general is dry because it's a lot of fried crunchy stuff. Only complaint is I went there early and used eatigo discount, but cashier lady was concerned I was ordering a lot of food (I was ordering for 3 people) and baka pagalitan sya ng owner. Because I felt sorry for her, I separated our orders into 2 receipts so that the other half won't be under eatigo voucher. However, eatigo rules were clear that discount applies to ALL ala carte items, no limits. Yun lang, I just let it go because I know how hard it is for businesses to try and make profit especially in malls but honestly if they subscribe to eatigo then they should know its discounts apply to ALL ala carte items.

Great shen jiang bao. 1 person can easily finish 1 serving. Servers are quick, friendly and always smiling. Place is clean. No coffee though.

My kids loved the chicken and their dessert. Although the chicken was tasty in itself I would have liked it more if they a condiment paired with it. Neverteless it was still a good dining experience especially we got a 300php discount from booky.

Our crowd favorite for the night was their #ShengJianBao @ P195/6pcs which is practically a pan friend version of Xiao Long Bao with sesame toppings & light black vinegar dip. It's a yummy dish that can satisty your hunger pangs and dimsum cravings. Best enjoyed while it's hot & fresh off the pan (yes, dine in for the win).
#CongYouBingSandwich @ P145 reminded me of Taiwan's Scallion Pancake. We opted to add friend chicken for add'l P35. Another filling dish for me but a tad too oily and crunchy for my liking but nevertheless still a good choice.

The dumplings were flavorful and the fried bottom added a nice texture. The shao bing sandwich was also tasty though a little 'nakakaumay'. The place, though small, was clean and had a nice ambience.
Bad:
The servings are quite small for the price. There's no service water to wash down the aftertaste and dry feeling that came with so much fried food.
I also think there was a hair on my sandwich, as seen in the picture.
Enjoyed our late lunch here. Thank you to ate cashier - very accomodating. Must try their sheng jiao bao - very juicy 😋

I'm not really fond of eating chinese food but I'm always a curious passionate eater. As I was looking for something to eat alone and affordable comfort food around Robinson's Place Manila, I found this restaurant instead in zomato. I immediately checked the place and when I got there, without second thought I ordered their must try sheng jian bao and cong you bing. The two indeed gave comfort to my stomach and heart.
The place is tiny, the lighting is just right and since there were only few number of customers who dined out, I was comfortable eating alone.
The next time I will go back to this restaurant with friends, I want to try their sandwhiches.
Masarap! I tried the shao bing sandwich with fried chicken. For its price sulit na sya! Lalo na if you use your zomato gold. Freshly made yung order. The place is quite small pero clean with good lighting.

Ordered the chinese friedchicken and the shen juang bao and it really is good! They are both very tasty and good value for money. Good thing that the place is empty when we ate for dinner as i heard it gets packed at times as there’s only a few chairs.
Love our lunch here! The pao is flavourful with mixed texture ( soup, soft with a punch of crunch). Definietly come back for another quick lunch

I’d never thought of this place until we found it on Eatigo. This restaurant is located at the ground floor of Robinson’s Place Ermita which is just beside the Robinson’s Supermarket.
First of all, the place was well-lit ; very neat; very good ambiance; the color scheme was perfect.
What we ordered; their best-selling Sheng Jian Bao. It was like a typical XLB with a twist because it was both steamed and pan-fried.
We got the fried chicken chops also. It was not that well-spiced unlike any other chicken chops like Hot Star.
Also, we had their You tiao —- the regular one and the dessert one which the only difference from the regular, it was drizzled in condensed milk with extra crushed peanuts on top.
What we liked the most was the Shao Bing Sandwich. We were totally wowed when we had our first bite because everything great was stuffed in there —- pork floss, you tiao, egg, etc. The bread itself was really flaky which made it more very delightful.
I swear, all of what we ordered was only around 600+ because of the 50 percent that we got from Eatigo. I swear, it will make every dine a pocket-friendly.
The overall experience, I will give it a 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ rating. From the ambiance, to cleanliness, to the approachable staff, to the taste of the food.
One of the best authentic taiwan restaurant here in the Metro. Their boneless chicken chops are to die for very soft, tender and juicy. Their pan fried xiao long bao are to die for as well the soup inside the xiao long bao is superb. Dessert lovers might want to try their sweet but tasty you tiao dessert.
Their food is tasty especially if you like Chinese food.
The sheng jian bao is super hot so we let them cool for a while (but not too long because the broth inside is best eaten hot).
Their fried chicken is great and we regret not ordering rice haha.
The you tiao dessert gave a nice contrast of sweet amidst the savory food we've been eating.
I'll be back to try their other foods next time!
Tried this place since I saw it for 50% off in Eatigo, I was always curious since I pass by this place everytime I go to Robinsons Manila. Place was kinda hot when we went there since the aircon is broken. Enjoyed the food and will probably return again even without the 50% off

The only thing i dont like, is that they weigh the rice and it cost for 35php for 150grams !
And i don’t think that is price worthy you’ll get disappointed when you see it.
A cheerful hole-in-the wall that has pan-fried soup dumplings with mouth-watering aroma and taste to match. I’m sad they’re open only during mall hours because fresh, hot soup dumplings can keep cramming minds fueled. Sorry, we only remember to take photos AFTER we’ve scarfed these down.

Although this place is clean, brightly lit and beside Robinson's supermarket, I always ignore it everytime I pass by here, because it's very small, looks insignificant (sorry for my impression) and its name is really hard to remember. Boy, am I glad they're registered in Eatigo. I availed the 50% off promo but even without the promo, everything's still worth it. Prices are very affordable and food is really good though very limited menu. Sheng jien bao is a must try, a soupy meat bun (bigger version of xiao long bao with thicker skin, smaller version of siopao) that is both steamed and fried. The skin is soft at the top, crispy at the lower part and broth is very tasty. Next visit I'm going to have two orders of that. Their servings are generous which can be shared by two. After 50% off, my total bill, less than P300 only, talk about value for money. But with or without promo, definitely going back for more, will like to try their you tiaw, pancake and more of the jien bao.
Finally got to try this out, though their space is small and always full; we got the chance to finally grab a small but amazingly heavy bite here.
The chinese chicken (half) is good and crunchy. The half is already good for 2 only for P165. Even kids like this.
The order of 6 fried xiao long bao is accurately priced. I like it because it's tasty.
I would recommend it to my friends, and try other delicacies on their menu in my next visit.
Nice tasting soup dumplings, great tasting chicken. Small area and has a nice view of the workers making the dumplings which makes it an authentic Shanghai dining experience. I don't like the taste of music playing which is off of the ambiance.
I was enticed to go here when I saw the restaurant's name on eatigo. Surprisingly their food are so good. Limited items on the menu but they made sure it's a quality one. Their shanghai xiao long bao is a no brainer hit. It was so good and even if I had ordered some to take home there's still soup inside. Love it! Another revelation was their shao bing sandwich with chicken. Their description says flaky crust with pork floss, scrambled eggs and chicken so was kinda weird at first but oh boy it was a sure hit! I love it!! Definitely will be back again :)
Mai Wei Fang is a hidden gem in Rob Manila! Their dumplings are filled with delicious broth and have a crispy bottom. Their chicken is seasoned perfectly and is to die for. My personal fav is the cong you bing green onion pancake. It’s really savory and one of a kind. It’s mostly a takeout place due to limited chairs but it’s definitely worth it!

Mai Wei Fang at Robinsons Place Ermita in downtown Manila is a gem of a restaurant! I was lucky enough to be invited by a friend to try out, and I quote "the most amazing bite ever!" Of course my friend was referring to the famous, first in the Philippines, Shen Jian Bao, which is between a regular soup filled XLB and a pan fried dumpling! The best of both delicious foods!

I have professed my love for Chinese food on my blog time and time again, which is why I have so many Chinese restaurant entries. However, this was the very first time I would be visiting a Chinese bakery.. And I was incredibly excited! . I was ecstatic to find that the same care and precision used in meticulously creating Chinese savory dishes, is also used when baking the different types of breads.. Perhaps even more so with bread because being off by a few milligrams could lead to a baking disaster!

Sheng jieng bao = fried xiao long bao. Best eaten when hot. I liked this, great for snacking. However, i didnt like the donuts- it was too greasy. Packaging was very nice.
A traditional breakfast in China but with Indochina twist, the shallot pancake was unexpectedly good, I’m used to that kind that’s more pancakey than the prata type which they serve. The dumpling is a must, the doughy type is fluffy and the crunch gives an excitement to the experience but once the soup explodes in your mouth, it’s heaven. Just be sure to follow this tip to have a wonderful experience: 1. Scoop the dumpling on the spoon. 2. Bite a small portion of the top of the dough creating a small hole 3. Pour black vinegar into the hole 4. Blow the inside for a 5-10 sec 5. Swallow the whole thing and experience the happiness.
If you are looking for an authentic Chinese cuisine quick snack without spending too much, perhaps you should try Mai Fei Wang. Located on the ground floor of Robinsons Place Manila, they offer a variety of Chinese delicacies at a very budget-friendly price. Last December 27, my friends and I decided to try it for ourselves. The place looks like the typical food outlets you see in malls – it’s well-lit, clean, not too spacious but well organized. Their kitchen walls are made of transparent glass so you can actually see your food being prepared, it’s very reminiscent of those restaurants you’ll see in China.
A small Chinese bakery in Robinsons Place Manila, Mai Wei Fang Restaurant Manila is one of the few places in Metro Manila that has Sheng Jian Bao (PHP 205) or pan-fried soup pork dumplings. It’s very similar to a xiao long bao but the sheng jian bao’s skin is a lot thicker, and is steamed on top but fried golden at the bottom. Biting into the crispy dumpling causes the savory pork broth to explode! Dip in black vinegar for best results!

They are basically selling/endorsing their pan fried xiao long bao. Nothing special for me except that it's pan fried. Good to eat here only for snacks and not full meals. That said, the price is quite expensive for snacks.
