Love the takoyaki,i could eat 2-3 orders of it!!!!
First thing that comes to mind when I hear Tokyo Bubble Tea: casual dining. Also it seems that somehow their menu is curated to suit the local palate so don't expect an authentic japanese food experience, as I have said before this is just for a casual dining experience.
Their food and drinks are presented in a cute and aesthetically pleasing manner, which I think cute or "kawaii" is the whole concept of the restaurant. Their food tastes good as well so for me the price of their food gave justice to the taste.
The ambiance does not offer much since the only view that you get are people passing by. Nevertheless this is still one of my go-to places if I want to grab a bite and avoid the hassle of super crowded restaurants.
This is my go to place whenever I’m at Megamall, since it’s quiet and not crowded. I always order the matcha frappe and takoyaki. The quality of the food is always consistent. Service is pretty fast and the staff are friendly as well.
The food is good. Ill give the food 4☆
Ambiance 3☆

Add more waiter/waitresses. More power.
The Gyudon was delicious. Sorry I forgot to take a pic. Their drinks/milk teas too are great.
I was craving bubble tea and since this had it in it's name I expected good things nonetheless. Ordered a classic royal milk tea, 50% sugar and normal ice. Perfect amount of sweetness, wasn't overwhelmingly creamy and just the right amount of tea flavor. I'm going to go back to try their food so I can give a better review, but I'm going to give them a 5 for now since they did not disappoint with the basics.
My fave place to go whenever I am craving for takoyaki 💕 Quite pricey but worth it. I also like their original yocca. Would surely try other foods in their menu.
Not my first time to eat here. Tokyo Bubble Tea serves good food and service has always been good.
✔ value for money
✔ good serving size

I didn't expect to find such good food at an establishment that specialises in bubble tea. But boy, the food was great and the service brilliant. Ordered the Spicy tuna salad and asked for it to be extra spicy, along with a Potato salad with salmon belly. Both dishes were tasty, satisfying and surprisingly filling for salads. I totally recommend the food here. Will be back to try more dishes.
Always a fan of Tokyo Bubble Tea.
I always look forward to their rice meals and makis. Their drinks do not disappoint either.
We had the Nori Fish and Chips that came with a perfectly blended wasabi mayo. Teriyaki Doria was very cheesy. Chicken Pesto came with a side salad and a handful of fries. Gyutendon was a huge portion of tempura and gyudon. Beware as it came in a hot plate.
For makis we had the Firecracker and the Nippon. Both were divine and must-tries.
Chocolate JCC is a staple.
My only issue here is that their staff was not prepared for queueing. I had to ask the server that maybe she wanted to take note of our names, before she started writing down the names and headcount.
I can't believe that I haven't tried Tokyo Bubble Tea before.. 😂 Well, I went alone around lunch time (1130) yesterday and I guess I was their first customer that time. Not much to say with the ambiance since it's near the food court. Staff was really nice and approachable.
I ordered one of their best seller Chicken Katsu Omurice and Takoyaki (yeah, you can tell I'm really hungry). Chicken Katsu was a bit bland for my taste but it was crunchy on the outside but the chicken itself was soft, Moist. The Cream sauce in the Omurice was creamy and I like it. The Omurice itself and takoyaki were nice too. Overall, I was satisfied with my eating experience here and you can see it in one of my pictures that my plates are clean.. Haha
I'll definitely come back to try other dishes.. 👌👍
I would definitely come back here for a second time around! This is the best place for someone who does wants to have a chill conversation with someone. Plus, it is very affordable!!
I would recommend ordering their best seller, royal milk tea with oreo cream and bubbles (135php), which has a mild taste of tea. Unless you are a big fan of something a bit sour and sweet, then I would recommend ordering their strawberry JCC(135php).

im always full after eating here. another place where you can eat most of what you pay for. they maybe just a but pricey compared to others but twas worth it. they have big serving this dish is one of my fav from their menu
Me and my boyfie was looking for a sweet place to eat dinner and we saw Tokyo Bubble Tea. The service crew are nice and friendly. And the food is very tasty although its kinda pricey for two person. my bf's money is worth it. And I'm still craving their food.
This is a review for the north edsa branch:
I came in during mothers day and I enjoyed my stay there! Servers were really nice! Food was in quality! Very happy about the gyudon! It was very good! I also like the sansrival! I will come back! 😍
food was nice it didn’t gave me gas, no poopie stop during our visit to the mall mom and tita’s were pleased and this place is baby friendly 👶🏻👍🏻
Cute place and clean. Food is delicious I ordered orea milk tea and chicken teriyaki.. yummmmm. I love japanese cuisine and this place serves me right.
Ambience
The view you get here is basically people passing by so nothing much to see. They have some cherry blossom decoration but I think it'd be more eye-catching if they made them go overhead and surround the sides more if not completely, except for the entrance part.
Beverage
Matcha Japanese Cheesecake Cream has excellent cream indeed! Eating it off the straw is enjoyable and mixing before sipping is very much the same. The pearls are also very nice and chewy.
Service
The staffer that spoke with me initially mixed up the ice-cream topping with the Japanese Cream Cheese (JCC), but it's okay since I figured it out quickly too. He was the one that recommended my drink.
Tokyo Royal Milk Tea w/ Bubbles - This one is way sweet for me. The taste is actually good but I'm not really fan of sweet milk tea.
Ninja Chili Con Burger - Unconventional burger with unconventional taste. I like how unique the flavor can become when you add a chili con carne and alfalfa sprouts to the burger.
Teriyaki Chicken Pesto - Wasabi in a pesto pasta? Are you kidding me? I can't believe the fusion of these will be so good. And the teriyaki? Oh its fantastic! Amongst my orders this one I enjoyed the most. The dish comes with a coleslaw salad, french fries and a slice of tomato and cucumber on the side
The price is a bit expensive but hey you'll get your money's worth! Staffs are accomodating and friendly. I'll come back to try their other dishes.
💕Date for Two:
Black Pepper Chicken w/ Kimchi Rice (BOGO via Booky)
Matcha Ice Cream Frappe
Royal Milk Tea w/ Oreo Cream and Bubbles
💌Total: P530
Overall: Tokyo Bubble Tea still brings the creamiest Milk Teas in the metro. We usually have this back on our college days so we’re so happy they have this near our place now. Ordered a classic flavor, Royal Milk Tea, now with a twist! They added an option wherein there’s an oreo cream on top! Yay! The drink itself is already satisfying but the oreo cream made it extra yum!! Their Matcha frappe is just okay, same with the average matcha drinks in the market. The Black Pepper Chicken is the bomb! The chicken is very tender and grilled just right, the sauce is more filipino-ish and the rice is superb! Since it’s kimchi rice, expect a hint of spiciness. 🔥 After this visit, we actually had few more dinners on the next days ordering the same food and drinks. Yep, it’s that good 😁
Value for money: Worth it!
#DateForTwo at Tokyo Bubble Tea
This restaurant deserves a bigger, better spot than the one it currently has at Megamall. I've been eating here alone for quite sometime and have been ordering the same thing: Firecracker roll. Its a salmon roll with wasabi, japanese mayo, and crispy salmon skin in the middle. This is very good for its price.
Ate here with my mom (with someone else, really, for the first time lol) and that just means I can get to order and taste more dishes. lol. So we had the usual roll, then Ninja Chilli con Burger, and the Teriyaki Chicken Doria. Both dishes were great. Burger patty wasn't dry, and actually better than most burger joints for this price. The chicken was great, too- very tasty and tender.
Sorry for the low res photos:(
I had a colorful experience in this cafe. My mom and I tried the unicorn-inspired drink (I’m so sorry I can’t remember the name). We also tried their desserts, red velvet cake and mango cheesecake (I think that’s the name of what my mom ordered haha!). The serving size is superb, even thiugh it’s sort of pricey, I think it compensates the taste and serving size itself. The red velvet is not too sweet, it’s the way how I want my red velvet. The mango cheesecake is also good, the mango is not sour, the cheesecake itself is thick and well combined. For the drink, it’s also not too sweet. The presentation is very IG-worth. The staff are very accommodating and very attentive to our needs. They also serve the food with a smile. +++
I’m gonna come back here very soon!
TBT's a good place to chill with friends and family if you dont mind having your seat outside with the view of the people malling.
The foods we ordered were quite satisfying. We already had lunch somewhere, but we decided to have something sweet and refreshing. My friend and i had mango grapefruit and strawberry green tea for refreshments and mango cheesecake. I must say the drinks were insanely good! They werent at all carbonated. We really tasted the fruit, like fresh fruit, from them. The cake was another favorite that day. I loved how simple it was presented, but with surprisingly flavorful bites. No "umay" feeling. The drinks complimented the cake.
The few things i didn't like were the annoying fly which was there for almost the whole time we were there. :( and the place was also a bit small. It was somewhat uncomfortable to dine as most tables were outside, so the place was noisy due to the passersby. Nonetheless, i loved the food minus the ambience.
For a food lover like me and friend, who would like try different dishes, we decided to go on a Korean style dish for dinner. It is because we all know that Korean food is at its height these days. Then we end up seeing this restaurant at SM Megamall. So here is my honest review about it.
What I like?
1. Place/Ambiance
The ambiance of the place is really good. It is very quiet. A very good place to savor their various dishes and have a tête-à-tête with a friend.
2. Food
The food is so savory and juicy. The pepper sauce of the dish is so delicious and perfect. Honestly, I really love the pepper sauce. (haha) This complements with the tender grilled chicken together with kimchi rice along with the perfect sunny side up egg.
3. Price
The price is worth it for the dish.
4. Staff
The staff is very accommodating and they always do their job with a smile.
What I do not like?
I gave a perfect score on this but it doesn't mean that it is perfect. I hope they will add more rice meals in their menu.
Will I be back?
Of course, probably because of the Black Pepper Chicken with Kimchi Rice haha and their accommodating staff,
We went here because it was friend's birthday and she wanted to eat here. The food was good and the servings were generous. We ordered Teriyaki Chicken Doria, Seafood Garlic Doria, Roasted Tomato Pork Chop Doria, and Gyutendon, for our drinks we had Matcha Ice Cream Frapp, Kiwi Green Tea Fruit-C, Lychee Tea Fruit-C Slush, Grape Fruit-C Slush. The service was fine, the foods were served just in the right temperature and the staff were nice. The only thing I didn't like was its location and the set-up because you have such a limited area to move around, but overall it was a nice dining experience.
We all know that the unicorn 🦄 has created a trend worldwide. It is dominating every aspect of our lives, starting from merchandise, and now food. Tokyo Bubble Tea has introduced their newest item on the menu: the Sakura Unicorn Milkshake! Available in the strawberry and taro flavors. Prices are at P155 (medium) and P165 (large). It's a drink that sparkles with colors, and of course topped with a "unicorn's horn". I paid the cafe a visit and put this pretty drink to the test.
Their Teriyaki chicken doria and takoyaki are the best!!! Worth the money.. was so full. The mozarella was really yummy!! Their takoyaki was really tasty i love it!!! But there's nothing special with their milk tea..we ordered their royal milk tea.. tasted ordinary.
We really enjoyed our stay in Tokyo Bubble Tea!! I love their food so much especiallly their curry dishes. Originally, we want to try out dishes with cheese in it, but I thought we'd like to eat some different dishes we haven't tried before!! So Gyu Curry & Tonkatsu Curry happened. I really love the taste of these two! Plus their milk tea (which I forgot the name). The price is very reasonable but the waiting period is a little bit longer :(
This restaurant will always remain as a good place to go to grab something nice to eat and drink. I ordered the chicken katsu omurice (hopefully i got the name right). I paired it with an ice cream strawberry pearl drink. The servings were enormous, and very tasty. Good value for the price
The milk tea didn't look like from the one they havr on their menu. That's false advertisement. I was so disappointed. lol
The bulgogi nachos was okay. It was spicy though.
My friend and I went for a quick snack here and ordered Crunchy Midori Maki and Matcha Ice Cream Frappe. Both were satisfyingly good. Also, the staff were all polite and smiling all the time. 😊
Wednesday chillin' time.
Strawberry ice cream yeahhhhh... So what if i have colds ahahaha roarrr.. I hope for more desserts options and snacks.. Hayyy

Their milk tea was refreshing. This in fact one of the most loved "tambayan" when it comes to new cold beverages and desserts. The theme of the ambiance was also refreshing so staying here for a while is relaxation.
Rice meals can be shared by 2 persons of my type. Lol. Tasty meals. Though a bit expensive. Drinks not included in the order. Their choco frappe taste well too. Cookies and cakes are also available in the name of honeybee patisserie.
Food - 4/5
Service - 5/5
Ambience - 4/5
Value for Money - 4/5
Milk tea in mason jar is just lovely, not to mention that the drink itself is refreshing and the bubbles/pearls are chewy. The staff are friendly and attentive. It's also strategically located near the food court but not in the congested area.
After the bubble tea craze is over we were left with Tokyo Bubble tea who is here to stay to offer not only Milk Teas, but a fusion of Japanese dishes.
I skipped on their main dishes and opted for something sweet. My friend and I both ordered cakes. I tried their Matcha cappuccino cake and the Japanese green milk tea. Both were perfect for my matcha craving. I loved how the match flavor cake blended with the cappuccino.
I always end up buying a drink from this branch because I always pick up items from Johnny Air in Megamall. It's my go to place for milk tea. I actually don't drink anything else in Metro Manila. They have the best pearls! So sweet and flavorful and soft!
Ordered the Takoyaki and the Fish and Chips. Forgot which drinks we ordered but they were both good. Food and drinks were amazing. Will definitely come back and try their other dishes.
I just loooove Japanese cuisine! When I eat here I order either Oyakodun which is fairly priced at Php185 (?) or my favorite Japanese Ceasar's Salad which comes in with the regular salad plus croutons, sliced grapes and mangoes with grilled chicken, parmesan cheese and delicious gravy which you can say to their waiters to have it served separately for the health buffs. The price is at Php235. The milk teas are also delicious as well as their green/black teas. The Takoyaki and Okonomiyaki are also good but I feel like it's too overpriced (Takoyaki is at Php185 for 6-8 pieces while Okonomiyaki is at Php235).
The last time I ate here was last year so coming back made me excited. I ordered the chicken donburi and royal milk tea while my friend opted for ramen. The chicken was well cooked and the melted cheese+rice was amazing.
This place is nice. The waitresses are polite and well accommodating. When we went there, it was raining so a waiter from the inside fetch us from the car inside their resto. The food was nice, it was perfect tho. We ordered Maki and Takoyaki. The presentation and authentic cuisine. Whats funny were their, jasmine milk tea, I felt like I am eating sampaguita and their azuki red bean milk shake, tastes like my childhood (cerelac) hahahaha. But its still delicious haha Im just intrigued. This place good to be one's regular.
We have their tofu steak, chicken teriyaki doria and grilled pork chop with roasted tomato sauce doria. Very satisfying to dine there... will be back for their japanese green milk tea!
Celebrating their 8th Anniversary, avail any of their four Baked Dorias (prices vary from P240-P285) and just add P8 or P18 for any Milk Tea Drink (Medium and Large respectively). Yummy baked mozarella cheese over rice...why not?!!! 🧀🍚
I went here with my friend earlier! :) The restaurant has a calming vibe and it wasn't that packed (we got there at around 4 p.m.). The staff are also very willing to entertain the customers' requests and inquiries.
The food is not that pricey and the serving is considerably generous. Although Tokyo Bubble Tea manages to serve affordable and delicious meals, it is not for customers who want to have a taste of authentic Japanese cuisine.
I recommend this place for get-togethers with your friends (especially if you're in a budget). It also looks like a good studying spot; just make sure it isn't that cramped when you get there. :)
I love their Japanese Green Milk Tea! ♥
Will definitely come back! ★★
Surprisingly, I don't like their milk tea. That's just me. My boyfriend likes it though. BUT I LOVE THEIR FOOD, or at least the usual dishes I order. Whenever I'm in Megamall, I never fail to pass by and order their Spicy Tuna Salad. It's actually very basic, but the dressing is really good. The perfect partner for the Tuna Sashimi in the salad. I also love their Beef Gyudon. My boyfriend loves their Vancouver. The Takoyaki is also not so bad. I suggest you also try their Salmon, and the Apple Glazed Porkchop. Almost all of their food has a good for two serving size so its good for sharing.

THE LOCATION
The store brings out a fun and light atmosphere which encourages relaxation along with conversation with friends. The store's yellow green and white theme along with its lightings helped bring out this very positive aura.
THE MILK TEAS
With plans of just finding the perfect milk tea place, we were surprised bubble tea offered a lot more through their dishes. Since we ordered both large Japanese cream cheese or JCC Roasted (4/5) and Royal (4/5) milk teas along with a red velvet slice (4/5), we were able to avail their promo of free Bulgogi Nachos (5/5) which surprisingly became the star of our dining experience. Both the milk teas were fine. If you crave for both plain yet rich & creamy combination then the JCC variants may work best for you. I even recommend to just stir it slightly in order to retain the foamy top. On the other hand, If you prefer more of a milky drink then their best seller Royal milk tea might be better for you. While for their Red velvet cake, I think it would be best if they can use a more appealing red color for garnishing since the cake really looks pale. Also, the cake would be better if it were more moist as well as include more cream cheese in their icing. Finally, their bulgogi nachos were remarkable. Since my friend is not into spicy food, we tried the non-spicy variant and it already tastes really good. Although, preferably, adding a little chili would help give a little kick to the overall flavor especially for the adventurous palate.
Overall, we were more than satisfied with our dining experience and would recommend it to those seeking a good place to chat and catch up with friends and loved ones.
Went here with my boyfriend and friends to have dinner. Since me and boyfie is not yet hungry, we decided to try their milk shake nalang. It was my first time to eat here. I ordered the mocha milk shake for me and double chocolate for boyfie. Other orders are california maki and nachos. One thing that i didn't like here is that they have super slow service. We just didn't notice it coz we're having a good time catching up with our good friend who just came from qatar. So all in all it's just poor service for me.
My best friend and I love milk teas. And during those times that milk teas were not yet the hype, bubble teas were big in the market. She told me about Bubble Tea and in Megamall and decided to try it out.
I love how the place exudes a fun, bubbly vibe and is an instant pick me up place. My friend and I ordered the Strawberry Milkshake and the Double Chocolate Milkshake. I love how their tapioca pearls are not too sweet, yet tender enough for chewing. The price is right for the milkshakes. Next time when we come back, maybe we can try the meals.
Tip: A great review covers food, service, and ambiance. Got recommendations for your favorite dishes and drinks, or something everyone should try here? Include that too! And remember, your review needs to be at least 140 characters long :)
The food was good! Especially the seafood rice with melted cheese (forgot the name). The gyoza was also nicely steamed and the maki was flavorful. I also tried the chocolate mousse and man, it was so good! 👌 The problem with TBT, or maybe in Mega branch only, is the sloooooooow service as well as the not so cozy ambiance. It would have been a better experience if the set-up was not too open and if does not look like a food court type. Other than that, it's still good. I'll try the bubble tea next time!

My favorite dish is their japanese caesar's salad. Their combination of chicken, mangoes, fresh tomatoes and nice greens is what keeps me coming back. I usually pair my salad with their chocolate milk tea with pearls. I also like to order extra pearls as I am addicted to it. I also tried their pasta selection as it is quite a bit different from your usual fare.
i have first tried their jasmine milk tea, that time i said yes, like an ordinary one. i came back and tried their taro milk tea and yeah it seems like nothing special but do taste good. so i came back the third time to try their chocolate milk tea and it was like OH MY! HEAVEN IS A PLACE ON EARTH! i loved it! it was the best for me so far. i consider it my favorite milk tea as well. also to add, their takoyaki is the best too. i tasted one from other chains and speak to my self never to try one again but when i tasted the takoyaki here, i just said "i'll definitely come back for more". :)
It’s Sakura Season in Japan and Tokyo Bubble Tea has some cherry blossom-inspired dishes to help bring Sakura Season to you here in Manila!. I previously wrote about Tokyo Bubble Tea years ago and how my default order is always Chicken Teriyaki Doria (favorite!), but I was invited to try their new Sakura Bento Trays, and I am so happy to find something new to like at Tokyo Bubble Tea.
I like the milk tea here. I was full already when we went here so I just tried their milk tea and is was good. I like the place as well. Not so much on a study place since it's noisy and everyone is just eating. I like the Tomas Morato branch better since it's more spacious and quite. :)
It's been a while since I last dined at Tokyo Bubble Tea. The restaurant is somewhere to get nice, casual dining Japanese food, and I really liked their bubble teas. When I dine at Tokyo Bubble tea, I am not expecting an authentic Japanese meal, but rather a solid, mid-priced, but nevertheless delicious Japanese meal catered to the local palate.
The Sakura Menu will be available at Tokyo Bubble Tea for a limited time starting from April 15. There are two kinds of special sakura-inspired items - Sakura Bento Trays and Sakura JCC Milk Teas.
There are 3 variants of the Sakura Bento Trays:
Sakura Soy Ginger Fish (P328)
Sakura Chicken Katsu (P368)
Sakura Ebi Furai with Hamburg (P368)
Each bento tray comes with a main course, miso soup, fried rice, Sakura salad and Sakura maki. We ordered the Chicken Katsu Sakura Bento and the Ebi Furai with Hamburg Sakura Bento. And just FYI, the Sakura bentos take 10-15 minutes to prepare.
The Chicken Katsu had a crisp coating. Like traditional katsus, it was not salted. You are supposed to eat it with the mushroom sauce and get the saltiness and additional flavor from the mushroom sauce. I was surprised that they put a lot of shiitake mushrooms with the sauce, it's great that they don't scrimp on it The chicken meat was soft and juicy.
For the Ebi Furai with Hamburg: The fried shrimp are juicy and are paired with a tartar sauce. Squeeze that wedge of lemon on top of them! We found the burger a bit dry, but I liked the sweet onions that were put on top. I think the onions are their version of caramelized onions, but they are so sweet they are like onion jam. But I liked them a lot and couldn't stop asking for some more onions from J's bento.
There are 3 variants of the Sakura JCC Milk Teas (M- P145; L-P155):
Sakura Royal Milk Tea
Sakura Strawberry Milk Tea
Sakura Taro Milk Tea
We ordered the Sakura Royal Milk Tea and the Sakura Strawberry Milk Tea.
The drinks come in these tall glasses with the pink Sakura cheesecake cream on top, sprinkled with dried cherries. The cheesecake cream is like thick, liquid cheesecake! It's sweet, slightly salty, tangy and cheesy, with a slight sakura flavor!
Unlike other drink shops with "cream" on top of their drinks, I find Tokyo Bubble Tea's Sakura JCC Milk Teas better because I get something good with every sip. Not only do they put a lot of bubble (sago), the drinks themselves are not runny. With the drinks of other brands, once I start drinking and eating a lot of the "cream", or when the "cream" starts mixing with the tea, the whole drink becomes tasteless and watery. I did not have that problem here. In fact, even after I got to the bottom of the glass, there was still a thick layer of cheesecake cream!
I also like the bubbles (sago) here because they are soft but chewy, and they put in 2 sizes - big sago and small sago. I like the bubble sago, and having 2 sizes just makes it better for me somehow
I liked the Sakura Strawberry Milk Tea the best. This is the one I am ordering when I go back! The Sakura Royal Milk Tea isn't bad at all, but I find that the Strawberry flavor goes with the Sakura flavor so much better.
SUMMARY
These Sakura-flavored bentos and drinks are only available for a limited time, try them before they're gone! It's rare to find Sakura-flavored anything here in Manila, so try them out while you can!
My best recommendation is the Sakura Strawberry Milk Tea!
Also try their Sakura Bento Trays - you get a variety of food for only P300+. Better yet, save some money because you can get the Sakura Milk Teas for only P89 (M) or P99 (L) when you order them with a Sakura Bento Tray.
You also get to Pick-a-Prize and win some Tokyo Bubble Tea merchandise when you pair your Sakura Bento with Sakura Milk Tea.

Our third or fourth dining visit to this small dining spot near the ground floor food court. We usually grab their tasty milk, which was unique, before the boom of milk tea shops. The place had small design changes though the actual store remained small, the real dining area is like al fresco style though you are still in the mall. (Can be quite noisy on a crowded day).
We Got:
►Japanese Green Milk Tea - Matcha Green Tea! My favorite! Creamy but smooth, milk blends well with the tea flavor. Selected small pearls with half sweetness.
►Royal Milk Tea - Their best seller. Original flavor with same creamy consistency and blending with tea flavor. Tends to be a bit too sweet. Selected small pearls and half sweetness.
►Teriyaki Chicken Don - Good bowl serving with really lean chicken. Teriyaki sauce had good blend of sweetness with the soy flavor.
►Tofu Steak - Listed as a side dish/treat but really a good serving as a meal. Slightly crunch outside and smooth soft tofu inside. Topped with a good serving of light teriyaki sauce, onions and meaty bits. Just added an order of plain rice.
Pros:
+ Serving size quite generous for the price
+ Ingredients used were fresh
+ Service was quick
+ Some of the meal options are more affordable than other Japanese casual dining of the same caliber.
Cons:
- Dining area tend to be noisy on busy weekends and holidays.
- Milk tea slightly pricier than other milk tea shops.
This used to be one of the few places you could get premium milk tea when it was not so popular -- before Cha Time, Gong Cha, Serenitea, etc. Now that milk teas can be had almost anywhere, Tokyo Bubble Tea still made itself a go-to kind of place because of its casual yet savory Japanese fare.
I recommend the ramen, sushi, noodles, donburi meals, and Japanese street appetizers like Takoyaki and Okonomiyake. Tokyo Bubble Tea is also good at bringing out the fish flavor in many of their dishes. The worst thing to taste in ramen or sushi is nothing, so much that you try to drown it in something - soy sauce, ginger, pepper, anything to taste. >_< I'm not excited with their pasta and katsudon menu - maybe the lack some flavor dimensions I expect in these kinds of dishes. But everything else is good. I sometimes go here for a quick snack or to soothe a craving for Japanese food.
At first glance, every dish may seem pricey (P200 and above), you actually get good value for money. The serving portions are generous for the quality of food they offer. I can feel full and satisfied with just one order of sushi rolls. Seems like most of their dishes are good for sharing for two heads.
Service is decent in this branch. Waiters can get a bit slow to respond when the restaurant fills up, but they are always pleasant and accommodating.
Almost forgot to mention their tea! Don't get me wrong - their teas are delicious. It's just that there are other tea specialty stores that offer more variety and better tasting teas at lower prices. Think of tea here as a good add-on to your Tokyo Bubble Tea meal. (And if you're wondering where the bubbles are in their tea, it's the tapioca balls or sago that they call bubbles.)
