Best chinese food. But food was little expensive. My favorite dish there is the Lechon Macau because it's so juicy and delicious. The place is good ambiance and the food service was also fast. I also like the dessert that they are offering. The dessert is the almond and it's great for your body too.

my partner and I were looking for an authentic chinese resto around Binondo and found this place.

- the place were big but it feels weird because you will feel like u're in a movie where illegal things are happening in the background.. hahaha (j/k)
- the food were awesome! we loved everything that we had! fresh and authentic chinese cuisine.
- they also have a complimentary dessert which is really good as well! πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘πŸ»

This place is among my top 5 pan-to style chinese restos. Trust the aunties in their recommendations, they make these really yummy twists to classic chinese dishes that you typically have.Β
Top tip: order the steamed pampano instead of the steamed lapu. not sure if other chinese restos serve steamed pampano, but their's is so good. Also if you're gonna order lapu, ask them to prepare it two ways, one is where they use the head to make soup (its super yum and not malansa), and the other is where they fillet the body and steam it with some leeks, garlic, and soy.

Very spacious and organised but not that clean. The food tasted good specially the three cups chicken and the sweet and sour fish. The dimsum tasted okay as well as the broccoli and fried pork. Their server was also very responsive and accommodating. Plus they have free jelly dessert! πŸ˜‚

Don't go here and order dimsum. It's expensive and you'll be better off at nearby Wai Ying or their sister resto Golden Fortune. If you prefer a quiet and elegant Chinese resto then you've come to the right place. You won't feel harassed by the noise here as the place is not fully booked always but the food is unique, great and presented well. I usually order the set menu here. Their Peking Duck is good although not cut as elegantly and skillfully as Peking Garden. Done two ways with the second one cooked in a stew with kalabasa or refried with garlic. Don't miss the steamed Pinsutan giant clams steamed and served with garlic and vermicelli. Love, love, love the place only if they improve their parking.

It's been a while since I last visited Binondo. There were so many good dishes served that day, but my favorites where the Roasted Eel with Honey and the Fried Chicken Steak.

Thanks to 2 of my fellow food crawlers for their birthday treat! We had so much food, but here are those that stood out for me:

Seafood Misua Guisado - their version of pancit, which was really tasty and had a nice mix of different textures, including the crunch of peanuts!

Steamed Fish Fillet with Garlic - when they say garlic, they really mean it as this came with a separate container of minced garlic, which I generously added to my fish!Β

Abalone Fried Rice in Stone Pot - this could be eaten on its own! It's like seafood paella, but doesn't have a fishy taste or smell.

Fried Chicken Steak in Teriyaki Sauce - if you've been following my reviews, you already know that I am not a huge fan of teriyaki, but I'll gladly make this an exception! Actually, I didn't notice the teriyaki sauce as the chicken itself was already quite good!Β

Golden Egg Pao - if saltiness and sweetness were to marry, then this egg pao is their union! Can be both a snack and dessert!

What I didn't like:

Fried radish cake - never liked this, never will! Radish is meant for savory food, not as a sweet dish.

Spare ribs - basically, boiled only, so meh.

What could be improved:

Seafood Pumpkin Soup - lacks salt and pepper, but quite chunky!

Australian Lamb Chops in Black Pepper Sauce - more pepper, less sugar, please!Β

Honey-glazed Eel - the candy sprinkles were unnecessary

Would I go back here? Maybe, but not on my own or any time soon.

I'm not a food connoisseur, much more on Chinese cuisine, but this is simply a great place to indulge and satisfy your Chinese food cravings. The best part? Dim sum all you want at 50% OFF, then there are chef selection dishes that are also 50% OFF! All in a fine dining setting!

If it was possible to stuff myself to death and still have room to eat some more I'd have done it, but alas! I have to surrender and stand up when all my friends said we have to keep moving :)

I have to admit that Binondo is full of places that really offer the most authentic Chinese food selection, but often times the restos are a bit dingy, but no question, the food especially dimsums are simply fantastic. But in Royale, you will get the very best of 'em all : effusive/attentive service, fast wifi, scrumptious dishes, and a fine dining setting! What more can you ask for? πŸ˜‹πŸ˜‹πŸ˜‹ oh on top of those discounts you get, they will give you additional discount when you pay in cash πŸ‘πŸ». So by the time you leave, you'd want to take away some more dimsum! πŸ˜„

Parking is also free for the first 2 hours, or you can just park on the side street, the facade is well lighted and the building has guards, so you and your car will be totally safe.

This restaurant is one of Binondo's secrets. It's located on the second floor of The Pacific Center, along Quintin Paredes St.
If you're looking for a fine dining authentic chinese restaurant around Binondo, this is at the top of the list! Ambiance of this restaurant is 5/5! The food is also great. Some of the must try-s include their Royal Boss Fried Rice (my personal favorite!), suahe (oh, I love how they cook this perfectly), the Pampano on the Wok, and their chicken teriyaki. Their staff are also friendly! Indeed, this restaurant is a good place to hold reunions, events, or even just a simple family dinner. :)

The restaurant has a classy atmosphere compared to the standard Chinese restaurants found in Binondo. They have the most accommodating people. I cannot stress how wonderful the service was. There were 14 of us and the bill was less than P7,000. The function room was private and secluded which is great for family gatherings. The food is great. I love the dimsum!

Excellent food...we always bring our suppliers here to taste authentic Chinese food. Prawn in salted eggs is one of favorites. I also love the spicy spare ribs and Yang Chao fried rice. Not to mention the freshness of their seafood...fresh from the aquarium. The ambiance reminds me a lot of a restaurant in Hong Kong.

One of my favorite restaurants. I really love their Hakaw, letchon kawali, fried wonton, salted rice. All of it is 50% off. Eto ang may pinakamasarap na hakaw for me. Some of their dish are bit pricey pero ok lang kasi masarap naman talaga & maganda yung mismong restaurant. Nakakamayaman hahaha. I just don't like the people there. Medyo imba sila, masungit at weird. Pero lage pa din akong kumakain dito weekly hahaha. Sarap kasi talaga. Try niyo!

Royal Sharksfin and Seafood Restaurant has the same owner as Golden Fortune Seafood Restaurant, known for their seafood, dimsum, and Chinese cuisine. It is not a restaurant where you can see easily along Quintin Paredes because it is located on the second floor, but once you find this, it is a real gem.

Royal has a more fine-dining feel. Although it also offers the same dimsum and Chinese staples, the food is more presentable. They also offers uncommon dishes like Abalone Fried Rice, Real Sharksfin Soup, Lamb and Leeks, among others. They try to innovate and create new dishes weekly, so there is something to look forward to to each visit.

It also has a large dining area and multiple function rooms that is great for events. Their lauriat-style meals are also good and inexpensive. Staffs and even the managers are very hospitable and friendly.

I love the abalone rice, siomai, raddish cake, prawn sotanghon, and hot prawn salad the best. But each visit, there might have a surprise for their new dish. A definite must-try for all Chinese food lovers.

Chinese food for me is the very definition of comfort food. While many seeking food satisfaction, a little food love, would seek out heavy dishes like Mac & Cheese. Well anything covered or smothered in cheese, or deep fried, or both. For me their is nothing more satisfying or comforting than Dimsum, and the more unpretentious the better. I am not looking for fusion, interpretation, or reinvention, just honest authentic food without apologies.

While Manila's Chinatown is hard to navigate, can anyone tell me a Chinatown that isn't, or tell me that Beijing itself isn't a navigation nightmare. The point is that Chinatown is an adventure and I for one hope that they continue to be so indefinitely. As the classic movie implies Chinatown is a state of mind. It's the quagmire of sights, sounds, traffic, street vendors, and smells that provide us with equal parts excitement and annoyance. In Chinatown your patience will be tested, you will get lost, and you are more likely than not going to smell or see something that even momentarily gets the better of you. Most would say that it is such events that spoil a good time, but in Chinatown it's the climax of the adventure.

While I didn't go to Chinatown specifically to go to The Royale, we did go in search of the best Dimsum we could find in the few short hours that I Irish and I had to spare. The goal was simple, to spend 4 hours exploring and eating until we either ran out of time or were so full we couldn't walk. With a storm brewing we through caution to the wind and dove head first into the confusion.

The rules were simple to eat something new, and something cherished wherever we ended up. This insures the adventure continues and out cravings are satisfied. It was mid afternoon when we arrived at The Royale, so only steamed or fried options were available. Though I cannot remember everything we ate, it was the Hakaw that stands at the forefront of my mind. However, my phone died before it arrived at the table, which Irish and I thought was predictable. While the atmosphere is not the best and the giant tables feel a bit odd sitting two people, good Dimsum and Ice cold pale pilsen more than made the experience at The Royale an experience to remember. While I have had better spring rolls, the overall experience, adventure, and company more than made up for any short comings that existed. Afterall, as I expect from any visit to Chinatown you must take the good with the bad, and be prepared to cover far less ground than you want. While I am no expert on Manila's Chinatown, I cannot wait to return for another round of Chaos. I don't know what we will be in the mood for next time we go, but I know where to go for Hakaw if the cravings get too strong to control. The only question is ..........where the heck is The Royale again?..... And can I remember how to get there?......... Well I guess that's part of the adventure as well and I know it's going to be a fun finding it, and who knows what other gems we may find along the way?
