Limited menu. Mostly no fish available, which was kind of disappointing since those were my favorites. Been craving that'a why haha.
Unagi maki is okay. Flavors are good, but I can imagine some people not enjoying it given its' price point.

Once a month, I dine in their Megamall branch with family or friends and order Crowd Favorites. My personal faves are ebi tempura maki and truffled steak aburi maki. The bara chirashi don bowl is a bit pricey but worth it considering the flavor and generous serving 🖤

I highly recommend the ff.: Tori Udon, Hanger Steak, Salmon Skin Aburi Maki, Ebi Tempura (I love their Alige sauce!)
They have unlimited Japanese rice (though they won’t tell you this) and tea (smells and tastes at first like coffee)
This is my second time here in Ooma and as usual, it didn't disappoint! Aside from the exceptional food, serving was fast, servers are soo nice, place was clean and neat. Would always go back here for the experience!

First time trying Ooma after always seeing it in its Greenhills branch. I got a bit overwhelmed with their menu because there’s a lot to look at. But nevertheless, really nice design and layout.
I initially just wanted to try their new curry bowls because I’m a huge fan of curry. So i ordered their Pork Katsu Curry and California Taco Maki on the side. The curry was so good! When they asked me for my feedback, they offered if I wanted more curry (for free!). I also requested for a fork since I wasn’t too used to just using a spoon with their dishes (which seems to be a staple setup for them). As for the taco maki, they adviced me to brush soy sauce on the maki, and eat it by hand. Ooma doesn’t seem to use Japanese short grain rice (sticky rice) but I let it pass since their food was good.
Service was on time. Tables have hangers to place your bags. Staff is warm and friendly. And very attentive when I needed water. Also offered hot tea. Thanks for my attentive server, Anderson, for making my first dine-in experience in Ooma eventful.

I was pretty hyped about getting into a Japanese restaurant I have never tried before. I ordered a hanger steak, chirasi don, sushi set, gyudon, katsudon and oyakudon. If it’s your first visit, I recommend the sushi set. From the sushi set, I like the aburi maki the best because of its unique texture. Nonetheless, all of the sushi in the set was so good that it melts in your mouth. Don’t forget to add wasabi for additional spike. 10/10
I give the hanger steak a 8/10. The mushroom tastes so good with the beef. I prefer that the beef to be more tender. I thought they’d cook it medium rare as shown in the menu but they served a well done steak.
For the charasidon, it feels like I’m buying a big sushi in a round big bowl. It’s not for individual meal because the taste doesn’t really vary as you eat it, hence making you want to stop eating it. I couldn’t taste the difference of the salmon from tuna, squid and other seafood inside the bowl. Maybe they should place slightly bigger slices and fresher set of ingredients. It didn’t go with a sauce and still had to ask for one. I would rate that experience as 7/10. The dish was not worth the money.
For the gyudon, I would give it a 7/10. At first I really liked everything until I got the same flavor over and over again which was a sweet taste. I didn’t like that reoccurring taste. Maybe it’s just my preference. It could’ve been more salty.
For the other meals, I really couldn’t judge myself since I wasn’t able to taste them. But my companion did not finish their bowl and it’s telling of how good the food is.
Overall, I would still go back to this place and buy the sushi set and other dishes that are more worth it. But it definitely wouldn’t be my go to! And I hope they could do something about my criticisms. More power Ooma!

Overall, the food we ordered are very good and tasty. Cant complain. The only thing is the Teriyaki Chicken, though perfect in taste the quality of the chicken meat isnt very satisfying, because its like the size of a bacon strip and 80% of it is breading, i hope they will improve the meat serving especially it really taste good already.

Ooma is always a favorite go-to when I’m craving for Japanese food! The unique makis and the well-executed familiar Japanese dishes make this place one of the best Japanese restaurants out there. Aside from that, service is also good and they are very attentive.
We ordered the ebi tempura maki, hanger steak, and tempura. The maki was our absolute favorite! The aligue mayo was so rich and the ebi was cooked just right. We’d come back for that any day.
The hanger steak was really good too! It was cooked to our liking and the mash was really flavorful. The flavors of the steak, mash, and mushrooms all blended well together. If there’s one thing to comment about, it would be the serving of the steak. The amount of mushrooms was waaay more than the amount of steak we got.
I’m very picky with my tempura and I tend to get ‘umay’ after a few bites or pieces. But this tempura made me want to eat the whole thing! It had a light, crispy batter and the shrimp was so big. The sauces on the side were really good too.
Overall, I’d always go to Ooma whenever I’m craving for my Japanese fix because of how reliable and good their dishes are. Definitely going to try more of their menu!
Esa and everyone else gave us a Hotel grade kind of service; eating bara chirashi is like putting the whole country of Japan together with their culture and history inside your mouth. 😍👍🏼

but if I were to critique, I think 20-25 minutes is too long a wait for food considering that other branches serve the same order in sometimes less than 10 minutes.
but overall, food was still great ad usual and would visit again. hopefully with faster cook time.

What I really love about Ooma, kaya binabalik balikan ko talaga, is yung edi tempura and hanger steak nila. Plus very accommodating yung crew nila lalo na si Chez.

My bestfriend and I ate here for dinner after attending to a personal matter. The food was great. I've been here a few times and have been happy with the experience each time. Today, my bestfriend and I enjoyed both the crowd favorites plate of maki and a dish that is along the lines of cheese katsu curry don. We weren't able to take a photo of the crowd favorites because we started eating immediately. Our favorites from that platter are the Truffled Steak Aburi and the Salmon Skin Aburi Maki
The service was also wonderful. We were attended to promptly and our drinks were always refilled. Staff also checked up on us once in a while to see if we were enjoying our food. The bill arrived after a long wait, but otherwise it was a pleasant experience.
Went there at about 2pm for our late lunch. Good time to avoid the crowd. Place is clean. And the waiter that accomodated us smiled a lot. I like that feeling that they are happy with their work. Its a big plus. Food is great. Everything we ordered is delicious. But i loved the most is the Uni Udon. I have a weakness for good noodles. Hehehe. Highly recommended.
