The ramen here is a must try a perfect japanese experience
I went here for a late dinner and it didn't disappoint! I ordered their Chasu ramen, chicken skin, matcha cheesecake, and light beer. At first, I was a bit disappointed that their milk tea cheesecake is unavailable at that time and got their matcha one instead but their matcha cheesecake is so good too I have no regrets! Their Chasu ramen is flavourful and the pork is thick and delicious. Chicken skin is okay tho. Their staff is very friendly, there's this [manager]? that checks their customers and ask if the food is okay which I appreciate very much. Also, this place is very friendly for eating alone, they have a long table where all solo diners can eat and won't feel awkward. Would definitely recommend and come back to!
i love the service and the jap food that watami offers.
papa had the all shrimp tempura + rice + beef sticks. though the beef stick was PRICEY, it was amazing!! melt in your mouth wagyu beef cubes, flavored and grilled to perfection was the shizzz!
the gyoza was served a lil cold, unlike the ones i had in greenbelt, hence did get the ‘oh my this is good gyoza’ feeling but the miso soup was a winner w/ the temperature - pipping hot just the way i like it, same w/ the service teas.
another kudos would be how the tweaked my order per my request. i dont fan over raw fish so i had them cooked the tuna in my spicy tuna roll and it was more than i expected. spicy and scrumptious i’d say.
Went here on a weekday evening and found the place quite full! We loved our dinner here. Pepper Beef rice in stonepot was good, as was the Chicken Teriyaki. Got a couple of skewers - Roasted Beef with Spring Onion and Chicken Liver. The best was the dessert - Milk Tea Cheesecake! Really good and with boba on top!
If you love milk tea and cheesecake, you can satisfy both cravings in one bite at Watami Japanese Restaurant of The Bistro Group.
Check out that velvety milk tea cheesecake atop a crumbly crust , drizzled with Watami’s signature black sugar syrup then finally crowned with chewy tapioca pearls .
Can be quite busy during dinner, but what really stands out is their very good customer service. They have initiative and very attentive to your requests. Food quality is good. My chicken cutlets are golden fried and texture is on point. In general, their price is competitive, a little better than other similar Japanese restaurants but without sacrificing quality. Great value! I will not hesitate to invite my family and friends here :)
This place is good for big group and company dining. We dined here and used our Bistro card, great discount. Foods were awesome. I specifically love the Salmon Stone Pot and Kiwi Fruit Drink. I'm excited to try more of their foods esp. Sushi. The place is cozy too. I just hope that they are consistent in giving complimentary tea to all customers (not sure about their policy on this). Our first and second time, they immediately gave us tea. But on third time, we have to ask them for it. But overall, I recommend this place.
Good ambiance.
Friendly staff
The Ramen is similar to Mendokoro or Yushuken but the broth isn't as thick.
Gyoza is pretty much the same as that of Mendokoro or Yushuken, which is a good thing.
We initially wanted to eat at an italian restaurant right below Watami but it was closed so we had to look for other options. We saw this new japanese restaurant and went inside. There was a courteous lady assigned to be our server and she introduced herself right away.
I had Ebi Tempura with a side of white rice. My boss ordered a chicken cutlet curry and some sashimi and maki. The sashimi was fresh but the shrimp tempura, though big in serving just wasn't as fresh. The maki was great! Service was alright except we had to follow up with the rice a couple of times before it was served.
Place: 4.5
Price: 3.5
Taste: 4
Service: 3.5
The restaurant is definitely new, so it has that nice fresh ambiance. The crew are very friendly and so attentive, asking if there's anything you need and quick to assist with your food.
Their food is just okay. Nothing life-changing, just the usual approach Japanese food fanfare. I was disappointed when I ordered two different maki rolls that seem to be the same exact rolls just with different toppings. The matcha dessert was okay. If the ratings would be based on the food it will just be 3 stars but since service was very pleasant I'm giving Watami a 4.
