Enjoyed a late dinner with friends here a couple of weeks ago. Their banchan is good, as previously reviewed by others; but I particularly liked their selection of stews and soups that are good for sharing and don’t shy from adding in lots of content.
They have dishes that satisfyingly suit both the local and other-Asian tastes, all made with authentic ingredients. I especially liked their gobchang jeongol - a spicy intestine stew.
I love the banchan here. Not sure though if it was refillable (since no one refilled but to be fair I did not ask). I had the Sundubu Chigge, which is a spicy soft tofu and mussel stew and it was amazing! The order comes with a serving of rice, but the pot was huge and it could easily be shared. Spice level was tolerable, even for someone like me with medium tolerance. Service was good as well. Anyway get this if you want something warm and tasty after a long day.
I come here with my family almost every week. We get their Subdubu Chiggae (comes with one cup of rice) and Osam Bulgogi. At times, we would get their Sanggyupsal. Their unli sides are the BOMB. Oh, and they have WiFi! Last na, their servers are so friendly (as I recall our first time there).
This place is really hidden, tucked away inside an old, dilapidated, almost abandoned like looking building. My friend who's a chef recommended this to me cause she knows I love korean food and since she's the one who recommended it to me, my expectations were pretty high. To be honest it was just okay. The spicy seafood seafood soybean soup (soondubu) was pretty good. The haemul pajeon (seafood pancake) was tasty although it was cooked differently and the bibimbap was a disappointment, dry and seemed to lack fresh veggies. Would love to rate this restaurant higher because the ajumma there greeted us so nicely and even offered to directly put the electric fan near us because it was especially hot that day. There were also korean families who were dining there so we might have to go back and order more of their authentic dishes.
I love the kimchi soup here, which the seasoning not so salty but just make it to a very delicious kimchi soup. Besides, my boy love the Stir Fry with Squid and Vegetables which came in a very big portion and we couldn't finish it by two person. Overall, this is a very nice restaurant with friendly staffs, unlimited refill for the appetizer.
