Went here because we saw in a variety show celebrities eating Gopchang at naglaway talaga kami. So hanap kami ni jowabels ng resto that serves gopchang. The Korean owners were even amazed we ordered such dish and they're nice rin. Love the dish siguro sobrang spicy lang niya at times but we loved our stay in here. Sana mag improve pa tho sa service.
One of the best and super sulit koren babrbeque in town! The side dishes are oh so yummy and the pork and beef are just the right amount of thickness and quality.
If you like your samgyup plain and simple, then this is the place for you. No fancy marinade, no over powering seasoning but only that original umami that comes from a freshly grilled meat. Alas! Because we all want our pork and beef taste like pork and beef!
Yes, not much of a choices for side dish, but they have Korean ramen and make-your-own bibimbap all you can. You can grab some Korean ice creams, too, after you dine for some bucks.
And what makes this samgyupsal place a cut above the rest is the SERVICE! The owners (who we guess are Korean uncles) made sure that we were taken cared and well fed off! They will come to check with you for anything.
And oh, I am not a gochujang person but their’s really taste good! I wonder if that’s homemade...
AND you don’t have to queue for hours just to have that Korean food fix. Spacious and not so many people dine in - so you don’t have rush because they are open 24h.
This is one of my fave Korean restaurants. Their unli package is worth it as it does not only include meat but also other Korean and Filipino food. The staffs are attentive and friendly.
Donu is my go-to place whenever I crave Korean food! They have wide vast of authentic Korean side dishes to offer alongside their pork and beef samgyupsal.
I liked most their egg rolls, baby potatoes, and the free ramyun!!!
Will definitely go back and invite my friends.
My friend brought me here - she introduced me to this place and told me it's the best korean restaurant!! Although I didn't really believe her at first, I noticed how their food was different from all the other korean restaurants I've tried.

If you're craving Korean food + you're in Makati, then Donu is a must!!!! Quality food and worth your while. Don't forget to try their jap chae in their buffet
Me and my friends usually eat here once a month :) Unli beef is superb!! Sides are great but sometimes there is no small shrimp :( as well the last time I pass by your old location is closed. I wonder where you guys are now located?
The quality of meat is excellent especially their beef! Kimchi tastes great 👌Even their rice taste and smells good. Polite and friendly staff inlcuding the owners. Personally, it's the best korean resto I tried 👌
I usually order the unlimited beef for php600 and I find it worth the price. Based on my experience you should order all beef or all pork. The serving portion for the unli pork & beef is 70% pork and 30% beef.
Still serving one of the good korean food for more than years now. 👌🏻 Been there many times na and still foods were delicious. Worth sharing to others!
It was my second time at Donu tonight and it was a different experience. The first time back last year, we went here for lunch so the place wasn't as packed as tonight.
We choose the unli pork and beef combination for 499 each. The meat was great I like the beef better and I would appreciate thinner cuts of pork, the service was a little slow because there were only two servers that catered to a full house. The buffet selection of the side dishes was so so, I got the baby potatoes with sesame which was so good and chap chae was disappointing because it was dry :(
I also love the cream gelatin dessert, I had two cups to balance the salty taste of the meat. The lettuce were also fresh adding to the experience.
Since I’m used to the Korean Restaurants in Kalayaan avenue then I’m okay with the ambiance.
The price is a good deal considering it’s situated in Makati and it’s 24/7.
The side dishes, sauces and veggies as well as some Korean dishes are served buffet style until 2am.
Satisfied with their type of beef, the fact that it's unli :) although a bit expensive at 600 but would do
Less smoke compared to other Korean restaurants and not crowded.
I love Korean food and this is one of the affordable restaurants in Makati. We often dine here since it's also near our office. Aside from their unli meat, they also have other Korean dishes. Don't forget the ice cream once done eating.
Actually all things considered one of my favorite and underrated, great value Korean place to have ur fix. Parking is limited, and location easy to miss, with very little people even noticing a Korean restaurant exists and with barely a noticeable sign and little to no marketing which may explain why this place is so unknown, not to mention the many Korean restaurants around the corner and within the vicinity. Do try this place out and see for yourselves.
First and foremost, the ambience is relaxing compared to the other pork and beef grill that I’ve been to. The place is quiet and not stressful at all.
The food’s really great. The amount of meat that they serve every plate for the pork and beef buffet is small. Though for me, it’s okay because you can ask for a refill anytime. Also, maybe they serve it that way to avoid leftovers.
The side dishes are tasty, there are a lot of choices, there are meat in the side dishes and they have SINIGANG SOUP!!!!!
Lastly, the staffs are nice and friendly.
Ordered Ppyo Ugeojitang. It’s a spicy pork back bone soup with pechay. They also served 5 different side dishes. I really like their Kimchi! This restaurant does not ask for VAT or service charge so you will just pay the price of your food. I just hope owner of the place is more friendly to their PH customers.
This is a good value place for Korean BBQ. I had a good feed of pork and beef here and everything was good, just a shame I was a bit late to enjoy the buffet to the full extent. But if coming between 7-9 should be OK
Went here at 12noon to have my post birthday celebration with my friends and we were surprised that even though the place is big, there’s just 2 tables occupied that time.
Anyways, I love the array of food in the buffet table wherein there’s a station where you can make your own bibimbowl. You can also have your free ramen upon request which was served in a big bowl but there should be no leftover for you will pay for it at php150.
I would definitely come back here next time because I wasn’t able to try some of the dishes in their buffet table for I felt really full after finishing their free ramen all by myself.
So if I were you, just request for one free ramen and share it with your companions. If it’s allowed.
I literally wanted to eat something that particular day and to think that it was already 2am! I went inside to check if Kimchi Jjigae was available and we ended up dining for an eat all you can meal. It was the last minute though but everything was super worth it!
Their samgyupsal is thickly cut, they have free ramen (you can ask for them to cook for you), Kimchi Jjigae, diy bibimbap, and many more!!! I really love this place!!!!!!!
The food is great (it's fresh) and the owner is very accommodating. He helped us in grilling the meat. We enjoyed the 2 hours unli beef and pork. The location is not good for attracting customers, it is somehow hidden. But the resto has a signage and really good reviews online so I guess it's okay.
Me and my friends dined here a few months ago and I can say that this is my fave unli korean bbq in makati.
Their food was great as well as their service. They have a lot of side dishes too! The only thing that I didnt like was their floor. It was raining when we went there and the floor was so slippery.
One of my happy places in Makati. The owners remember their patrons and they make you feel like VIPs. One of the owners even started putting food on the fryer without us asking. Zik Remorca and I will keep returning to this place.
I really love the service. That ajusshi and ajhumma are so friendly and always standby to help if I need help. The side dishes are so delicious. Perfect!
The place is classic , has different variety korean
Food! It was indeed the fastest confirmation to book a table, . maybe because of the location .. Its eat all you can beef & pork! will price you below 500 pesos. Yes 500 pesos .. Try here its not that crowded at all they even offer different kind of korean ice cream!
If you're nearby Makati/Mandaluyong and wants to quicky fulfill your KBBQ cravings with the restriction of P500/head meal, then this is for you. They have courteous staff and the korean owner was very hands-on taking care of the customers. Make sure that this will be your last stop for the day because once you go out of the resto, definitely the kbbq smoke will stick with you. 😊
Probably the best unli KBBQ place at the Poblacion area!
- Very home-y and cozy ambience. It feels like you're in some Korean's house because it's set that way. Lovely setting.
- The BEEF is pretty thin but quality-wise, it's a notch higher than so-so. It's tender. I'll give it an 8/10.
- The PORK is 10/10. Samgyupsal was thick yet very tender. Soft and easy to chew.
- Side dishes are the BOMB!!! They have the usual Korean side dishes (like kimchi, soup, dumplings, and veggies) + cool additions like onion rings and (otherworldly, delectable) fried chicken.
- Service is a 10/10 since the staff are welcoming and kind! The friendly Korean owner is present as well and he's hands-on! You'll see him going around the restaurant, cleaning up the mess on your table, and asking you if you're enjoying your meal.
- Seats are limited though so it gets packed easily. Make sure to reserve.
Best unli Korean bbq at the Poblacion area! Go give it a visit and see for yourself. 💜
Donu is a great place to satisfy your random, late night Korean food cravings. They have a fair selection of dishes if you go for their buffet.
My only gripe here is the food is so exposed. You may see the occasional fly or two threaten to pounce on whatever dish you're thinking of trying out next.
Their a la carte dishes are delicious too. I recommend the Soondooboo if you're not in the mood for all-you-can-eat.
First ever korean bbq experience courtesy of Donu, and it was worth it.
I knew of the place thru this app and booked a table for dinner because we wouldn't wanna be in line if ever the place does get full. We got in there and it was very very busy. We weren't given seats immediately because the staff was pretty busy attending to other customers.
Once we were seated, a small stove was set on the table and we started getting food from the buffet table.
There were a lot of options to choose from, you can even make your own bibimbap! The meats aren't on the table and they are given to you per request. I was able to taste most of the options and I would say that I LOVE the galbijjim. It's like a spicy Caldereta. Very tender and the meat just melts in your mouth. My boyfriend is a fan of their chapchae, and even consumed a bowl of kimchi by himself. They have other options too like pajeon, kimbap, mandoo, onion rings, eggrolls, kimchi soup and even dessert options like fruit salad. They also offer a free serving of Korean Ramyeon, upon request.
Since it's a buffet, we had unlimited meats. For 399, you get unlimited pork (samgyeopsal) and for 499 you get pork and beef (chadol bagi). We enjoyed it very much, we probably had 9 set of meats just for the two of us. If you're in for ice cream, they have a freezer that offers korean ice cream which is charged on top of your bill.
Service is pretty hands on, especially the owner who is literally always on the dining room, bussing plates and cleaning tables. One little downside is it was hard getting the attention of the servers sometimes, maybe because it was a busy night. But for the grill plate to be placed on our stove took some time before it got set up.
Food is pretty good, I must say. If this is how korean bbq places' food taste like then, I'm excited or my next try!
I’ve been here like many times! The service is fast, the waiters and waitresses are very nice and friendly even the owners. Food is great and authentic. I even recommended it to my friends and for sure I will go back!
Probably the best Korean buffet in the area. The meat tasted delicious, the side dishes were immaculate, and the service is good. I'm already excited to go back!
Bang for the buck! Was really starving and dropped by this place because it was highly recommended to me by my batch mates. I was really impressed with the food!
This so far one of our comfort eating place. This is so far the only place I can eat soondae. There is an option for buffet, but still We still prefer set meals. The foods I love the most is soondeakukbab, dolsot bibimbap and kimchi friedrice.
ORIGINAL RATING: 3.5 However, I will explain in my review below why I gave it additional 0.5
We availed the P399 buffet for lunch. QUALITY is a bit off, to be honest. Some of the food they offer are cold. But still tasty, at least. SERVICE was just okay but I expected too much because most of the reviews say that the staff was really nice and friendly. FOOD is good as mentioned but some were really cold. I gave it additional 0.5 despite the downs because they offer SO MUCH for a P399 buffet. They have unli bibimbap, gimbap, egg roll, rice cake, chicken, japchae, the soup with tofu and spicy sauce, sweet potatoes and many more (see photos). See? It was really worth it! The place was also home-y with Korean vibes. One of the safest places to eat Korean food in Makati. I will definitely come back!
I like the food and service! The staff are accommodating.
We chose to have buffet dinner. Unli samgyupsal and beef is lyyyf, so other dishes were just a bonus. Their Japchae was really good I think it was the best I ever had.
Service is great and the place has a very local Korean restaurant vibe.
I have been here 4 times already. We always avail their buffet 399 for lunch, unli pork and meat, and a variety of side dishes unfortunately they dont include drinks in their buffet, but still worth it. I love their kimchi, and their rice is soft, and the way they cook their Sinigang, tried their ramyuen too, it was yummy and spicy. The staff are friendly, very accomodating, and so as the Koreans that manages it. The place is clean.
We ate here last night and everyone including the owners are super nice!!!! We availed the 499 unlimited and every single thing was delicious!!!!
We availed their all you can eat promo (P399) which gave us unlimited beef and pork to grill plus a good selection of banchan (side dishes). Their side dishes are good and their meats are tasty as well. Not a fan of their kimchi though, and I think it'll be helpful if they keep their food warm. :)
Korean bbq here is not smoke-less, the aroma of bbq sticked to our clothes when we left the place. Also, this is a very homey place with home-cooked Korean meal vibe. If you're looking for a place with modern interiors, then this place is not for you.
i love this restaurant. They are authentic Korean restaurant. i love to eat here is the soondaue... my husband's favorite here us the kimchi... :) we love the ambiance and the owner is Korean also. i love there food. But sometimes there staff is like they are "lutang" so when you order here, you may ask the staff to repeat your orders in front of you...
But all in all the food and the price is excellent
It's a 24-hr korean resto and they also deliver in the makati area so they're a good deal. :)
I seldom visit korean or chinese restos, and this is one korean resto that i like. I love their tteokbokki, dolsotbibimbap and kimbab. The servings are generous and prices are reasonable. You gotta pay extra for the lettuce though.
The place feels like you're in korea and the service from their staff is great. Another 👍 thing about this place is that they sell korean ice creams!!! ❤
Update: they now offer samgyeupsal(not sure of the spelling) buffet and I think they're my favorite buffet for it. They don't just have the side dishes but they also offer other asian selections and inexpensive too (pork at 399 and pork&beef at 499)
I felt like being transported back to Korea when I entered Donu. The customers and the owner spoke korean and TV shows were korean. We ordered Spicy Beef Soup and Soondae Tteokbokki. The Spicy Beef Soup was okay while the Soondae Tteokbokki was tasty and reasonably spicy. The rice cakes (Tteokbokki) were chewy-soft and the soondae almost tastes like the ones in Korea same with their side dishes. Affordable, good food with a Korean-homey ambiance. Btw, they also have Korean ice cream with so many flavors to choose from.
Donu is one place we needed to visit as it is one of the rare places in Manila that serves soondae, a type of sausage that has clear noodles as filling. They serve it with fish cake and tteokbokki, typical in the usual Korean street food tents. It was wonderful because it tasted exactly like the ones found in Seoul. Another dish we ordered is the spicy beef soup, but Min Sok beats Donu in this category. They also provided a few banchan dishes, which is always nice.
Very affordable. Clean place. Accommodating staff. Wide variety of korean food. We always enjoy their tteokbokki, ramyun and sangyupsal. Chicken was so-so. Spicy ones were okay but the original favored was bland. Other than that, everything was sooo good. One of our barkada's favorite place.
Extremely affordable! The place has the friendliest staff and the most accommodating owner. The resto is very easy to locate and has generous servings of side dishes and desserts. I could no longer count how many times my friends and I visited the place. I strongly recommend it to those who are looking for a low-priced Korean Restaurant.
If you're in Makati and you crave for korean food in wee hours, donu grill is best for you! They serve good variety of meats with sides and lettuce for grilling. Ambiance is good and cozy, with huge tv and in kbs channel, plus point for me. Hahah We ordered 3 set or sangmyupsal, ttoekbokki (they had a bigger size of rice cakes but fewer serving than big mama), and mix friend chicken. We had a thing for korean chix, they taste teally good, no doubt onew loves it so much. I would prefer it than jollibbee. The plain chicken is soooo savory while the hot ones are very much satisfying. Cons in grillong, we smell charred after eating. We alsoordered some soju and ice cream. All in all, we enjoyed our midnight foodtrip. Even the others which are not into korean food, i believe they loved the food. I'd be happy to go back weekly. Hahah. We were a group of 6 and our bill is just 1800, we 're all full and satisfied.
I've been here more than 5 times, and both times I left satisfied. The ambiance is not cozy but good enough, customer service is okay too, and prices are very fair reasonable. Overall, I would still dine here again, and definitely recommend it to anyone who wishes to try Korean Food.
One of the hidden gems in the area as far as korean food is concerned. Very convenient because they are open 24 hours. Fave dishes are the Chadolbaki and Samgyupsal (rice goes very well with these). Have it with the sesame oil, salt, pepper sauce/dip and you are good to go. Side dishes are tasty but I've tasted better quality in other korean places. 2 refills allowed :)
I love their Rabbokki! This is the only Korean resto I visit whenever I crave for it (I can't find any more delish Rabbokki in the city's vicinity lol). The entire staff is kind enough to refill your side dish too! Try this food out if you love something hot. This will never be too spicy for us. ;)
Addicted to Korean dramas and now Korean food, we have explored even restos like Donu. Thanks to my bffs who brought me here! Their grilled kalbi with sesame oil and their spicy ramyeon and the sticky Japenesey rice are all worth the sweat. I am perspiring as it is really spicy!
Donu serves the best fried chicken (not the spiced version), Korean dumplings and spicy beef soup in my book. Their prices are reasonable despite the fact that they are open 24/7. One note, remind them not to overcook the chicken. I fell victim to that one time.
