Culasa is actually spelled with a K—Kulasa, a Filipino word meaning 'Scholastican' in English. Just a little fun fact for some who want to know where the name originates. Culasa definitely does not disappoint when it comes to good homemade food. Their Chicken Parmigiana is just made with love every time—sweet, juicy chicken and their world famous tomato sauce just blanketing the whole meal together. Prepare your stomach however, when they mean meals, they do not mess around with the size. Still craving for dessert though? There is a high chance that a line of sinfully good cupcakes are there just waiting for you!
This is a go-to place for my barkada when we want to get together and enjoy each other's company. Their Chicken Parmigiana and cupcakes are a must-try; plus, you get to feel at home with the cute, very pink and rustic overall ambience of the place!
I've been going to this restaurant since I was in high school and it has never failed to satisfy my cravings, especially their Chicken Parmigiana. Definitely worth every peso.
If you’re the kind of person who simply can’t complete her meal without the dessert, then you simply must try Culasa Bakeshop and Restaurant. . From it’s name, one will think that it’s an unsophisticated and a very suburban like restaurant that you won’t expect to be sitting in a very commercial city of Makati.
If you want a very lively and artistic place to dine, I highly recommend Culasa. You will be greeted with their not so fancy and yet artsy decors. Even their chandelier is a work of art. The cupcakes here are highly recommended for those who loves desserts. They're reasonably priced as well. I have also tried their main courses and they're quite good too. Try Chicken Cordon Bleu and Creamed Beef Stroganoff, they're so good. I will definitely come back here to try their other menu offerings. Cheers.
We always see this place when we're on our way from Makati to Taft and we always wanted to try it ever since because it looks adorable on the outside. From its name, we assume that the owner/s is or are from St. Scholastica's College and is/are definitely female. The interior is very feminine and have lots of pink shades. It's a perfect spot for meeting up with girlfriends or having a sweet date with someone be it with one's mom or with a significant other.
Anyway, the food that we ordered were the following:
1) Creamed Beef Stroganoff - Their blended sauce of garlic, butter and steak sauce made the tender beef delectable.
2) Roasted Chicken Under a Brick - It's not a perfect roast but it's all right, because their gravy with the chicken meat is tasty.
3) Cupcakes: Dulce de Leche and Red Velvet - Their cupcakes are small, but it's good and scrumptious. We assume that it is made with quality ingredients. You may want to try Dulce de Leche cupcake too as it has become one of our favorites after we've tried it.
Overall, we're glad that we finally had the chance to try it. It's a great alternative to Vanilla Cupcake Bakery since it has more dishes and their cupcakes are heavenly too.

I always pass by this place on my way home but never had the chance to actually go there until the other day when my colleagues asked me to come with them. It is located in Dian St. Makati (very near my place ☺).
When we got to the restaurant, the lady who runs the place immediately approached us and offered us seats. She was very friendly. Before we ordered, we took several photos first because we loved the interior - so girly.
We wanted to try as much items they have on the menu so we ordered, sun dried tomato pasta, cordon bleu, triple chicken, ceasar sandwich and of course their signature nutella shake. I loved how balanced the tastes were. The pasta, perfectly cooked. Not too salty and not too sour. I loved the triple chicken because it is crispy on the outside but juicy on the inside. They also served their rice in the shape of a heart which is cute. With everything we ordered plus some take outs, our bill was 1500 something. We were 5 - 300 each, not bad right? I am definitely coming back to Culasa and try the others on their menu. 👍👍👍
Nothing really fancy about the food but the ambiance was really cute and cuddly! The cupcakes are also must try! If you order rice and meat, try classic fried chicken and pork chop
We love the red velvet cupcakes and the Oreo brownies! Bit disappointed with the dulce de leche cake since the frosting is overly sweet but the cake itself is bland.
Tried the red velvet brownies and their chicken pesto cream; affordable and worth it!
The place is kinda girlyyy well expect it, knowing that the owner was a former scholastican too. #proud
Let us paint the town pink! A lovely and interesting place to dine in. The best puttanesca I ever tasted. Welcoming staff and they have variety of tasty cupcakes.
Food - 2/5 (This should be 4/5 but we found a hair in their rice, so..)
Place - 5/5 (Cute place)
Cost - 4/5 (Sakto sa big servings)
I ate at Culasa two times with my bf because he bought 2 vouchers from metrodeal. It's 300 worth of food each.
At our first day I ordered Chicken Parmigiano and he ordered Beef Mushroom Gravy.
Their servings is big, almost good for 2 persons per plate. I'm a chicken lover and I love their Chicken parmigiano but the servings is big so you will feel "umay" when you're in half way of eating it, also I think the taste is too much.
The mushroom beef is tasty and just an ordinary dish, we're dissapointed because there is a hair in their rice, good thing my bf still not eaten his food, we report this in their waiter and he apologized and replaced the rice.
2nd day, I ordered Creamy Alfredo and he ordered Roasted chicken under a brick. Their pasta is delicious and I finished the whole plate although it's good for two (feeling guilty)
The chicken is tasty, it's like the roasted chicken from Andoks with special sauce. We also ordered Blueberry Cheesecake for the dessert, it's okay, not too sweet, but I don't like the texture of the blueberry, its sticky like an old jam.
The place don't have much customer, we always own the place when we go there, dinner time, (good thing, it's peaceful) also it is so cute, color pink everywhere and I'm happy because it's my fav color. Kudos to the designer of the place.
All i can say is that you have to try their chicken ala king. Their pasta is also tasty especially their creamy chicken pesto. For those who are looking for cakes and cupcakes, their desserts are must-try! I love their red velvet cupcake and they also have cookies and other kinds of breads. This place can be found at the ground flow of Dian Suites, once you see the rainbow colored cafe fronting the street, then that's it! -xoxo-
Place ;
So lovely..perfect place for a first date.
Service;
Nice & friendly staff
Food;
Meal - tasty and the serving is fair enough for the price.
Dessert - yummy! most especially their dulce de leche cupcake.
Beverage - their SHAKES (strawberry & banana) pricey and taste nothing special..it's like a homemade simple shake.
Salad, pasta, cupcakes, and the homy ambiance of this place. It's love.
Culasa is a cute little diner near cash&carry. Their dishes are really tasty and haven't disappointed me since i first ate there. The serving portion is big and the prices of the meals are budget-friendly. I love love love their "Filipino breakfast". It has tocino, tapa, fish, tomatoes, egg and rice. It is just heavenly! The 2nd dish i tried when i went back was their "Chicken ala King" which is also lovely.

i'm from cebu and i love this place so much...the food num num!! the place!! the music!! just enchanting...
I stayed at the My Dian Suites while frequenting Culasa, They had breakfast delivered from Culasa many times, while the menu is kind of short due to a soft opening, The food and price is well worth your patronage. While visiting the dining area, it is a very friendly environment, the service is great, and food is good. It is a smaller restaurant, with a welcoming, family friendly place. 1st of its kind in the Philippines.
Very nice ambience..refreshing..great food at a reasonable price..cupcakes are sweet, with real gooey chocolate as icing
Great food served in adequate portions using fresh groceries grown organically (as per the chef), topped with complimentary bites. Very nice ambience. Excellent service which is commendable. A must visit place for anyone who wants excellent Contemporary Food. American, Filipino and Desserts. The food is lovingly crafted, creatively served and -- best of all -- it is the quietest fine restaurant in town, a real plus if you are one of the remaining people in Makati who knows how to have a conversation. We go here for birthdays, anniversaries and other special occasions if we want privacy.
I highly recommend the "CHICKEN ROASTED UNDER A BRICK" and the VALRHONA CHOCOLATE CUPCAKE. The cupcake is made PURELY of valrhona chocolate, according to the pastry chef who happens to be the owner. Kudos, Culasa.
