Seafood laksa ****
Has a nice but light coconut milk soup base with the right spiciness, at least for me. I like that it also had a decent amount of seafood toppings.
Nasi goreng nenas ****
The smoky and savory flavor gets a break from the pineapple bits.
Thai green curry chicken -3.5
The sauce was very good with some sweetness, but the chicken was bland. It seems to just rely on the green curry sauce for flavoring.
Place 3.5
Ample seating, banana leaves are used in place of plates.
Service 3.5
Courteous waitresses. Serving time of 15mins is acceptable given that the food is only cooked upon order.
Price 3.5
Slightly expensive for the serving size.
Credit cards are accepted.
The ambiance is a bit cozy and the food is quite good for its price. A good place to celebrate special occasions with your family, friends, officemates/colleagues.
Ordered a baby back rib and I forgot the name of the other vegetable dish. Food was great and presentation as well. It’s not everyday you get to eat on a banana leaf. Should have been 5 but the place was humid. The aircondition was not functioning well. So yeah. A 4 for now.
When my family and I dined here one Sunday evening, we actually had our Yorkshire Terrier with us but were pleased that the restaurant permitted it as long as we sat on their lightly outer section of the restaurant which was fine with us.
Appearance-wise, it is the smallest of the Banana Leaf branches I have dined at but nothing very negative to note. We did have a few issues with flies, which was quite irritating considering that we were still inside the airconditioned mall.
Service-wise, the staff were alright and were rather attentive with all of our needs.
Food-wise, we ordered the following dishes:
Thai Vermicelli Salad (P168)
It was our first time to try this dish and as a starter, it was a perfect choice. It was a refreshing mix of sweet and sour plus had a nice crunchy vegetable elements with shrimp. We finished it almost instantly.
Roti Canai (P88/pc) and Curry (P30/bowl)
One of the tastiest appetizers that they have to offer, the curry sauce is goes well on almost anything. The roti bread is served hot and has a great texture to it.
Deep Fried Pandan Chicken (P188)
Another must-have whenever we eat at this restaurant. Four pieces of hot, tasty chicken lollipops wrapped in banana leaves.
Half Hainese Chicken (P338)
It was a tasty dish but for the price and serving size, I considered it to be okay in terms of value for money.
Penang Fried Rice with Salted Fish and Chicken (P188)
The rice was somewhat disappointing because the salted fish was not very evident so it lacked in terms of taste.
Over-all, I am giving this particular branch a 3.5 because although the food is good and somewhat consistent among most branches - it is nothing that makes me crave going back any time soon. I would recommend it for random lunches or dinners though.
It's one of the best Thai places I've been to. Not the best, also not bad. There was nothing extraordinary about it but it's a good choice.

Most of what we had were delicious. It all complements with my love for rice, especially their version of Hainanise. Must have would be their Green Thai Curry (love the sweetness) Deep Fried King Fish (crunchy on the outside, made better with soft meat inside) and their Squid with Garlic (not chewy, it’s yummy).

One of my mom's favorite restaurants. She always craves for Banana Leaf, but unfortunately, their branches are getting fewer, and for this visit, I know why.
Banana Leaf serves mostly Indonesian, Malaysian, and Thai cuisine, and instead of plates, they used a banana leaf, hence the name of the restaurant. For this visit, we ordered our usual favorites - Roti Canai with Curry Sauce, Fried Tilapia in Malaysian Cream, Stir-fried Raddish Cake, and Pad Thai. A big disappointment with the Roti. First, it took a long while before it was served, like almost at the end of the meal. When it was served, the roti was more on the dry and crispy side, and it was shining with oil. The raddish cake was a bit too salty this time. The tilapia was still good, and since we ordered two of them, we had the chance the compare the two dishes. All I can say is, no fish is created equal. The second dish we got was smaller than the first one.
However, on this visit, we also tried ordering something else: Seafood Coconut Soup, Chicken and Green Mango Salad, Barbecued Pork, and Hainanese Chicken Rice Set. The soup was really tasty and generous on the seafood. The coconut soup blended well with the ingredients. For more flavor, you should scrape the coconut meat off the coconut first. A little disappointment though on the barbecued pork. It looked way different from the picture in the menu. The one we had was tough and small.
I hope they are consistent in their food. It is sad to see a good restaurant go down because of its poor consistency.
Great area for a sweet lunch with friends. One of the good eats of pad thai - very tasty. We enjoyed the Pandan chicken. Staff were very accomodating.
It was ground of century city mall. It was my first try to visit banana leaf. Their dish was banana leaf and their food is kind of big serving as well. And their thai iced tea was good sweet taste as well
Malaysian is a craving once in awhile wits unique spice and flavors. Am a fan of spicy food!

The Stir Fried Malaysian Noble Leaves was the only disappointment. The serving size was small and was really salty! Somehow we were thankful it was few.
Oh don't forget to start of with their well fried Roti serve with Curry!
I thought this restaurant had Filipino dishes lately did we knew that is was a Thai resto. Lels. All the dishes that were served to us were amazing! Felt speechless when we ate their food. And we even ate in banana leaves which added more thrill to our dine-in experience. No pictures were taken since we were extremely hungry and couldn't help but dig in to their scrumptious looking and smelling food.
Simple interiors. Enticing meals. I love their pandan iced tea. My fave is the deep fried chicken in pandan. Its included on the "appetizers list" but id say together with a steamed rice, its perfect! I always eat outside by myself so I used to get the same thing--only here. :) one of my fave places to dine so far. :) anddd very affordable. :)
Though not really a fan of other southeast asian cuisine, we used to dine in banana leaf occasionally whenever visiting century mall. Tonight, i ordered roasted chicken and mango salad and fresh buko juice. The salad was fine and just enough to satisfy my not that heavy appetite at the moment; though i found the dressing a little too sweet but just enough to buffer the sour side of the ripe mango. Buko juice is perfectly cold and we enjoyed scraping the soft white meat out of the shell.... That made me full. Whatta lotta protein! 😉

The reason why we ate here was because of the Beef Rendang. I love Rendang! Chicken or Beef it doesn't matter. Any restaurants that serves Rendang is definitely on my list of restaurants to visit.
My husband and I ordered Pad Thai, Malayan Beef Redang and Rolled Pandan Crepes with fresh Coconuts. The Pad Thai was just so-so, as well as the Beef Rendang. The Beef Rendang has a distinct sour taste which I haven't tasted in other restaurants also the kerisik (toasted coconut) was overpowering. Perhaps that's the reason why were not impressed. There were few restaurants we've tried that serves good tasting Pad Thai and Rendang better than Banana Leaf. Although their Pad Thai and Rendang isn't extraordinary still it wasn't that bad too. The serving portions was good for two sharing. Not bad at all.
What I love about Banana Leaf is their Rolled Pandan Crepes with grated fresh coconut. We haven't tried it anywhere before, so it was something new to us. Very delicious! We will definitely order that dessert again in our next visit to Banana Leaf.
