They just opened their newest branch at Glorietta 2 and we're so happy it's now more convenient for us due to proximity. Tried 3 different crust and 3 different flavors.

I personally love the White Peach. 🤤🥰

Loved this pastry store ever since I was a kid. There were subtle changes with the custard's taste, but nevertheless it still tasted good (but not as good as before tho.) Service was quite slow, but the product's size and quality is just right for the price.

Yummy but messy.

There is always a queue when I am passing by into this store.

The staff are friendly.

Hoping to have another chance to buy the other flavors when I am not in a hurry since I have to wait.

Masarap pero wag kainin sa first date, ang messy. Hehe.

I’m eyeing on this stall because everytime I pass by, that good smell of cream puffs always gets my attention. I’ve never been a fan of cream puffs, but Beard Papa’s have good ones for my taste. I bought e’clair cream puff and it’s heaven, nothing much to say. I already decided that next time I’d buy bulk to share with my family and friends. How I wish they have a café instead of just a stall on this branch tho.

And the winner is still… Happy Cream Puff! At least for us….
First time for me to eat Beard Papa and I was surprised by its size which is a little bigger and its price at P75 just for one vanilla cream puff. It was so yummy will definitely buy again👌

We have tried the Kazé Kazé with Custard filling and I wish I would have not ordered Cow Cow Ice prior to trying this one because all three of us just ordered one since we already had dessert before. It is a little bit of a cliffhanger so there will always be a next time. This is so yummy. It’s Japanese tourist approved. I can compare it to the one authentically served in Japan. Good thing Beard Papa has something new that could spice it up. Keep it up!

Offers more variety than the original kiosks of Beard Papa. I tried the kaze kaze since I already tasted their original cream puffs before. The kaze kaze is a custard filled pastry coated in nuts (at least as claimed by the cashier). It's crispy and rough in texture. I found it a bit lacking in sweetness since I was looking for a dessert. I only got my sweet fix when I was about to finish it. It's novel but I don't think I would pay P85 pesos for this again. It would also help if they offered free samples to try. The place looks clean and well lit but they only have a tiny counter which isn't ideal to consume the product. Service was a bit slow as the staff seem new. Even if there was no one in line it took me ten minutes to get my order even as it was literally just in front of me.

Edit:recently tried the White peach cream puff and it's so good! Cashier got my order wrong so good thing I checked.

I've been a long time admirer of Beard Papa's, used to visit their small kiosk. Now they have revamped with a brighter, more enticing store front. Freshly baked cream puffs whiffs across all floors, I was at the first floor when I was summoned by the sweet scent of cream. Line was not too long and had a mental struggle if i would order a box or just one piece to try out. Right before it was my turn, decided to just buy one piece. Ordered the Kaze Kaze because of the glowing, honest review of Ria Pe | RIA_litybites . For 95pesos, the Chocolate Kaze Kaze size was just right. Filling was light but chocolatey. I enjoyed the crunch lend by the nuts. Service was not as super as I expected. They were polite but not sincere, perhaps to move along the lines as quickly as possible. Overall, I would visit again to try the cream puffs next.

I had no idea what Beard Papa's was until everyone raved about it when it opened in Glorietta.

The smell that surrounded the store was so. freaking. good.
This time, I ordered the chocolate eclair with custard filling. The pastry itself is really soft, and is complemented by the chocolate on top. I'm no sweet tooth, so trust me when I say that it isn't as sweet as it looks. It's just right, even with the chocolate filling!

The waiting time can take a while but it's worth it because they serve it fresh as they pipe the filling once you order!

Gave them 5 stars because I'm happy they're back and I'm giving them a little leeway because they're new but I do have some complaints.

The moment I got in the mall, we were about to go on a buffet but I bought one because I miss the taste lol. The custard was a lot runnier than I remembered. When I took a bite, the filling dripped on my shirt and my bag.

I don't usually go in this area and since this is the only branch of Beard Papa's at the moment, I decided to buy a box to take home.

They have a "buy 5 of the same get 1 free" promo displayed, but when I got in the car and opened the box, there were only 5 custard cream puff pies in there. Although they didn't mention that I got something free when I was buying, it was still a bit disappointing because they have it advertised on their store.

Also for the life of me, I couldn't understand why they were so slow. The cashier was really slow and took forever just to take my (and everyone else's) order. We were only 4 in the line, and as far as I could tell, those before me either only bought one or several pieces of cream puffs but it took them a several minutes to process each. Even packing took too much time. There was one person piping the puffs and a separate person dusting and packing the items, and I'm sorry to say but they were working too slow. From what I remember, their former kiosks only had 2 employees (working out front) at the most but were very efficient when fulfilling the orders.

Would I buy again? Yes, but not at this branch so I hope they open other stores soon.

Be ready to fall in line for almost an hour if you're really craving for cream puffs. The custard pie cream puff is a classic. The salted caramel is too sweet for me. Brought these home and still taste good even after 3hrs. They also offer a freebie for every 5 you buy.

Update:
Bought my favorite Kaze Kaze today (July 2019) but it looks different, looks smaller and less almond crunch. 😔 Also not enough custard cream filling as I had hoped for. I still enjoyed it though since I can’t get my fave ZakuZaku from Japan and this is the next best thing. Got a plain custard cream puff too and it was so pillowy soft, yum.

Original:
I didn’t even know that Beard Papa’s closed down all branches in Manila pala before and just last month they reopened a new branch in Glorietta. It’s the only branch they have right now and planning to open another one in Promenade. I just stumbled upon it last week while walking in Glorietta and spotted the Kaze Kaze which looked like my super favorite almond cream puff in Japan called Croquant Chou Zaku Zaku which is amazing! So I lined up even if it was long only to find out when I reached the cashier that it was all sold out already.

So I went back today, a weekday at around 430pm and all Kaze Kaze were gone but they were baking a new batch but would take 40 mins. Whew! I was willing to wait naman basta may stock since this was the only reason why I went to Glorietta (yes, that’s how much I wanted to try the Kaze Kaze and taste if it was exactly like my favorite Japanese Zaku Zaku). So I lined up for 10 minutes to order and pay, went around the mall first for 30 minutes instead of waiting there then came back to pick up my order.

They currently have a promo, buy any 5 items and get a free cream puff. So I got 5 Kaze Kaze - 4 custard ₱85 each and 1 chocolate ₱95 a piece and got a regular cream puff valued at ₱70 for free.

I would rate Beard Papa’s a 5 if only rating the food! Everything was good! Looooove the Kaze Kaze, the almond crust makes it amazing just like the ones I always have in Japan. So now at least I won’t miss my Tokyo treats that much. And even before they closed and reopened again, I’ve known Beard Papa’s to serve really good Cream Puffs and the regular one I had today was delicious. But warning always eat right away as much as possible because it might get soggy after or worse, the cream spoils easily because it’s fresh.

I highly highly recommend you try the Kaze Kaze, you will thank me later! 😉

The cashier who assisted earlier today (Feb 4, around 430-5pm) was pleasant (female). But I did not give a perfect score of 5 because the service is slow, I don’t exactly know where the bottleneck is but the line moves sooo slow and orders come out slow even if the cream puffs are right there. Earlie, 2 males were handling the stuffing and wrapping of cream puffs while last week they were females and on both times, they move so slowly. Maybe they’re just careful because the cream puffs are delicate?!? I don’t get it though. Just a feedback if Management reads this review. 😉

I can’t stress enough though that the yumminess of Beard Papa’s especially if you are craving for cream puffs and eclairs is worth lining up for and again, try the Kaze Kaze!
