The sangria was really good! Love how it was frozen and their unli promo is sulit! Ordered fries and quesadilla too which did not disappoint.

UCC is one of my fave japanese coffee resto. When i crave for seafood salad , their cakes and breakfast menu like the hungarian sausage which is really good , bts cake or cheesecake. Sometimes i eat the halohalo cake or the parfaits. I visit their branches in Trinoma n T. Morato too a lot
Had the Garlic Tomadobo from Eight Coffee Bar by @eightbyucc @uccclockwork
Interesting flavor and subdued adobo taste.

Great ambience, great food. Place feels private and comfortable. Of course area is clean and shiny since it is inside a rockwell office. Service is quick enough
The salmon pasta was so satisying to eat with all the cream and luscious salmon. I've just tried creme brulee coffee so I can't say that all their coffees are good, but yes this one was quite an experience with all the tapping of the teaspoon to break that caramelized sugar top.
The place was so quiet and spacious. We ordered cheese quesadilla with potato chips and cute salad in it, so cheesy tasted good, I liked that the chips were cut thick and the clairs crepe with vanilla ice cream aside that it was flavorful, it was picture perfect too. I love their ice cream.
awesome interiors! their nachos are the bomb! what made it unique is that it had sesame dressing mixed with it! This will be my all time favorite dish to order here! :D
We were looking for a dessert place and ended up in the Eight Coffee Bar. We ordered four cheese quesadilla with chips and Clairs crepe. Four cheese quesadilla is a must try! If you like cheese, this is a good appetizer! They have mouthwatering mozzarella cheese in it. Also, Clairs must have strawberry and kiwi, but due to unavailability of kiwi, it was replaced with mangoes. I like the crepe because it was half baked, but it’s still soft and chewy. Vanilla ice cream in the crepe was also good. I also like the service. Staffs were attentive.
Posh. Private. The place beautiful and secluded, a perfect place for a chat while enjoying a variety of coffee and menu selection. I have always loved the Sans rival of UCC and I could not miss this opportunity to try the Green Tea flavor. It was okay, i still prefer the original. The Vietnamese Coffee was smooth and flavorful. My Brazil #2 coffee was kind of bitter but with full bodies aroma. Cool place.
It's a type of cafe you'll only probably know if you frequent Rockwell area. It can be found on the mezzanine level of office, 8 Rockwell. It is also yet another brand of the UCC group, called Eight to coin its location. This is a relatively quiet place to hang out in.
Second time here, and on this visit we settled for just desserts. Their famous French Toast Tower came first and this did not sit me with well. For one it was not even that tall, and worse every bite was too airy and greasy. It also lacked Nutella and banana to make it interesting.
We shared cakes next, Mango Creme Brulee and Salted Caramel Molten Cake. Both of these were delectable and rich in quality ingredients. The latter was my favorite for its fudgy yet not as sweet taste.
This is a relatively quiet place to hang out in too. Eight Coffee Bar gives you a chill vibe away from the busy Powerplant mall beside it.
Went there for lunch. We arrived exactly 12 noon and the silliness in me, brought along my coffee from Starbucks. They immediately removed my drink as they have a corkage fee for food & beverage bought outside their store. I obliged and gave up my drink which the waitress said I could get afterwards.
I ordered tomato beef lasagna while my colleagues ordered pesto linguine, threesome breakfast and quinoa grilled chicken and mandarin orange. We ordered Zesty Carrot and Crimson for drinks.
The food arrived after an hour. I know it is lunch time but the place is only half full. Should I've known that it would take that long, I should've finished my coffee on the side instead.
Good thing the lasagna tasted great. Though both crimson juice and zesty carrot juice tasted either too bland or too healthy for me. Haha.
I cannot say anything about my colleague's order as I wasn't able to taste their food. I devoured my lasagna in less than 5 mins and was too full to try theirs.
Food = superb; drawback = waiting.
I used to come here for lunch sometimes when I would use the Regus office in the building. It is quite fancy, but a lovely space that serves a great variety of coffees and food! I haven't had a single disappointing dish. My coffee of choice is the Vienna! The whipped cream makes it delightful. If you're lucky, you might even bump into some important people coming from the ANC newsroom :)
Love the food and the service. Enjoying the private kind of ambiance. Best place to have intimate conversations with loved ones! All in all this is my happy place!
Such a good place to celebrate a very special occasion - hubby's birth date. The whole family is one in saying we got our money's worth in taste, service, ambience. Will definitely come back for more meals to share with the family & friends.
Happy tummy!
5.0 ratings are so rare but Eight Coffee Bar deserves my 5 for so many reasons other than the fact that I always study here LOL
1. They have to-die for coffee. Eight Coffee Bar is by UCC and I've always been a fan of theirs. It's the authenticity, the richness, and the aroma of their coffee which makes their drinks so popular. The taste is so genuine and pure. You know coffee is good when it doesn't taste artificially-flavored.
2. They have an extensive menu of coffee from around the world! They even have unique ones (like Vietnamese coffee, hello how cool is that).
3. They have an extensive menu period. You have so many to choose from in this place so you won't get tired of dining here. They have pastas, breakfast dishes, sandwiches, quesadillas, breads, hearty entrees, cakes, milkshakes, etc. They probably have everything.
4. They're all delicious and they're all big in serving. It's great for sharing!
5. Price-wise, a bit expensive compared to other cafes but you definitely get your money's worth.
4. They also have alcohol!!!! My friends and I love going here every Friday night after class because of their unlimited sangria. It's for less than P400 only. So goooood.
5. The ambiance here is 10/10. It's actually on the 2nd floor of 8 Rockwell (the building right in front of Powerplant Mall) but you'll be surprised at how the setting works. It's so relaxing being here.
6. Very warm and accommodating staff!
7. They have free wifi.
This place is so versatile as it can be a sunny breakfast place, study place, and nighttime bar at the same time. They've got it all! I suggest bringing your friends here to have a lovely breakfast catch-up over coffee or to have a girls night out over their sangria.
P.S. They close at 12am (They should consider extending til like 2am at least HUHU).
The Monte Cristo was scary oily. I really did not expect it to be deep fried because the menu did not indicate it.
Speaking of menu, their menu is so interesting with choices from around the world starting with their coffee.
The surprise to me was the halo-halo. It had the amount of beans that pleased paired with the simple ube and maize ice cream. We didnt even need to put it half of the sweetener. :)
Stopped by here for my daily coffee and Salad fix!
Excellent location in Rockwell 8 overlooking the entrance to the mall. Although this is open mall space, aircon is still pretty good. Friendly service.
Nitro Cold Brew Coffee is a revelation! Comes in a big glass with foam on top. The coffee is very good for a cold coffee. First time I was able to finish a cold coffee without milk or sugar.
Guiltless Salad was very good too. Good combination of mixed lettuce, gruyere cheese, grapes, tomatoes, alfalfa and orange in spiked balsamic dressing topped with candied walnuts. Very tasty and zesty!
Great place to have meetings in Rockwell. They have a long table too.
This is one of the more private coffee shops in the power plant area in the One Rockwell development. If the wifi is serviceable this is a good alternative work space. I got their own version of their iced coffee and it was not bad, although a bit pricy. The flavors are that good as per UCC standards and something I can order as a staple.
This past weekend, we visited and EATSperienced Eight Coffee Bar by UCC in Rockwell, Makati. It is located in 8 Rockwell and is just a few steps away from Power Plant Mall. Eight Coffee Bar by UCC is one of the many cafes under the UCC group here in the Philippines. UCC serves great coffee, pastries and savory dishes. Yes, they do serve savory dishes! Aside from being a few weeks old, we would like to share with you our Eight Coffee Bar by UCC EATSperience because of their new items on the menu that feature Adlai. It is locally grown and cultivated, a healthier and more nutritious substitute for rice and corn, high in fiber and gluten free, and also has sugar lowering properties. How about that for an alternative carbohydrate? That’s why we are so delighted to share this EATSperience with you! Are you ready to find out more about Eight Coffee Bar by UCC and their Adlai based dishes? Here it goes, enjoy!
Eight Coffee Bar by UCC is the newest addition to the foodie destinations in the Rockwell neighborhood. I frequent the area and it would be uncool of me to not drop by.
I got dibs for writing the first review 😀.
After watching Suicide Squad at Plant,
I asked CMA if he wanted coffee. Asking this question is totally unnecessary as we always end our day with a good cup of joe. This is my subtle way of coercing him to try Eight.
The joint is located at the newest posh edifice behind Power Plant. I forgot the name of the building but this is where Lanvin is at.
First, the interior reminds of a speak easy bar. A mixture of modern and contemporary. The lighting is exquisite, perfect for foodie photos. Eclectic mix of furniture. I like the communal table, it is made of wood with uneven edges - ruggedly handsome. There were only a few customers when we arrived.
A couple of seconds after we settled on our seats, the menu was given by the most pleasant wait staff I've encountered. I ain't exaggerating, he looks pleasant, he sounds pleasant and his smile will make you feel warm and fuzzy. He is the epitome of Pleasant, a president of Pleasantville. His name is Roger, by the way.
The menu is extensive, they offer a wide array of caffeine infused drinks from all over the world. Vietnamese, Irish, Portuguese, Greek, Italian, French and German. Apart from that, they also have an Espresso Bar, locally sourced beans, coffee over ice and different types of concoctions, different coffee techniques such as:
| Pour Over Method
| Nitro Draft
| Syphon Method
They have the kind that will tickle every coffee junkies fancy. We got the following:
| Flat White (php 160). The flat white is equally good too - smooth with a prominent coffee flavor. Sorry Eight, my heart belongs to Toby's.
| Green Tea Latte (php 170). This was served in the cutest cup and saucer I've ever seen - rustic charm. Bright green and screams "Drink Me". I loved their GTL as it's smooth and not too sweet. The proportions of matcha and milk is on point.
| Four Cheese Quesadilla (php 220). I initially wanted the Japanese Waffle Crepe with some green tea ice cream but odour server said that they don't have ice cream as of the moment. No deliveries due to the beastly weather. I did mention that Roger was pleasant, this is proves my hypothesis. When he explained the situation, he was sincere and offered alternatives. That's customer service, guys. Anyway, CMA said we should get the Quesadilla instead. Too much digression, let's go back to the Four Cheese Quesadilla shall we? This was served on a wooden chopping board with some fries and fresh greens on the side. The fries were under seasoned, it could use a lil salt and it would be better if they add ketchup of garlic aioli as dip. The Quesadilla is delicious tough. I taste blue cheese, but it didn't bother me at all as the other three cheeses neutralises the strong, pungent flavor of blue. CMA likes this as he munches of blue cheese every chance he got.
Overall, we enjoyed our stay at Eight. The modern ambience is very conducive to chilling out and relaxing. They play good music too, none of those popular songs tgat gets to my nerves. Majority of their clientele are law students and yuppies whose eyes are glued to their laptops. Bonus point for me as i like quiet.
See you soon, Eight! I am coming back for the Grilled Cheese Sandwich and I'm lets travel the world with your coffee.
