What’s your go to local, comfort food? Add authentic Ilocos Empanada on your list via Empanada Nation, they deliver! Don’t forget to dip it with spicy, black vinegar.
I also got King’s Meal (Bagnet + Longganisa), Tapsilog, and Bangusilog.
They have a crowded morning here as most of the people from the nearby BPO conpanies spend their breakfast here I opted for a quick snack here and decided to try the Special Batac Empanada.
Serving size is big. Serving time is loooong but it was freshly cooked. Rice meals can be served faster than this. I can't hold the empanada too long because it was hot and so I tried to eat it the unusual way (using spoon and fork). It has ground Vigan longganisa but lesser than monggo, egg, onions. It was still okay and I like it.
I like the Bagnet meal a lot because it has side dish - the Salted egg! 🤤 I like bagoong and salted egg with onions and tomatoes! The place is though small, it is nice and clean. Staff are approachable as well, willing to assist.
facility was so-so, but the food was really great. tried out their batac empanada and bagnet and they were so delicious. wish i could go back sometime
The tapsilog was unexpectedly good. I had no idea if food here was good. I was hungry and wasn't sure whar to eat, at first I wanted to try the bagnet but when I saw tapsilog,i tried it and it was really good. Cheap but good. Went here twice
Very accessible from my place. The foods are delicious, my personal choices are the king's meal and boneless bangus meal. Their empanada is very oily but delicious though. They also charge extra for take outs.
Yummy authentic Ilokano specialties in the Metro. Everything is a must-try! 👍
You may always start of with the King's meal which comprises of Vigan longganisa, Bagnet, Itlog na pula, rice and freshly-chopped tomatoes in bagoong isda sauce. They also have the papaitan or what it's also similarly called as Sinanglaw. Emapanadas were also good. 😊
